The guards are making sure the miners are safe by destroying all of the traps. When they reach the second floor, many big boulders and rocks block their way.
A miner examines the rock. "This... is not so well. How large is the explosion?"
The pony guard answers. "I don't know. When we are guarding outside, we hear some explosion."
"How big is that explosion?" The miner taps his pickaxe. "Do you want to help me? We brought enough supplies for both of us."
"Absolutely."
The miners and the guards start working together while some of them start digging around. Matt and Spike are just coming to the dungeon with some shovels. When one of the miners sees Spike, he rushes to him with a paper. "Please give me your signature. I am a big fan of yours."
Another miner drags him away and looks at those two. He asks. "Sorry. But I assume that you are not coming at the right time, the Great and Brave Spike."
"That's okay." Spike runs into the dungeon. "Come on, we came here to help Twilight and Shining Armor."
The miner is going to ask about Matt. As the swordsman runs with the purple dragon, the miner decides not to ask due to an emergency situation.
Twilight and Shining Armor have been trapped inside the dungeon for over an hour now. They are waiting for rescue. Once she realizes Shining Armor's wound is healing, Twilight gets up and heads to the door, but Shining stops her.
Shining asks. "You want to go inside?"
"These energies make me so anxious." Twilight shakes her head. "It is like some nightmare behind this door."
Shining knocks on the door. Blue smoke rises from it. Shining Armor sits down. "I can't come with you."
"You should rest here and wait." Twilight puts her front hooves against the door. "I have to finish this dungeon."
Shining looks into his sister's eyes as he sees a determined spirit inside her. The purple alicorn opens the door and heads inside without hesitation.
Inside the room, there are several large candles that are placed on either side, but no fire is lit. It is the candles that create the path leading to something significant. Twilight decides to follow this road to see what is at the end of it.
Five minutes later, she sees many colts and filles circling around a red magic circle. They are chanting something. Twilight decides to hide behind a large stone watch. After a while, a small earthquake rumbled around t
Several colts and fillies are transformed into light orbs. They fly into the magic circle.
The magic circle has exploded and is sparking electricity around it. It is surrounded by smoke. When the smoke is fading, Twilight feels some horror inside when she sees Nightmare Moon standing in the magic circle.
The dark blue alicorn laughs out loud. "Finally, I managed to go back to Equestria. Soon, Equestria will be mine."
"How... this can't be." Twilight holds her chest and whispers. "Okay, okay... this must be something related to Sunset's memory."
Nightmare Moon steps down the stairs and many ponies wearing armor suddenly appear on the ground. They bow to their queen. Twilight's horn is glowing and it is analyzing Nightmare Moon. She sees something sparking on her helmet. Twilight closes her eyes and creates a crossbow with an ice spell.
Nightmare Moon stops and commands. "My loyal subject, get that pony for me."
Twilight runs away as many arrows are coming towards her. An alicorn flies quickly to Nightmare Moon and prepares a sword to slash it, but it is blocked by a scythe. Nightmare Moon giggles and raises her scythe. The 'loyal subject' starts shooting arrows at her. Twilight raises an ice wall to block it.
Her soldiers stop when Nightmare Moon raises her hoof. The dark blue alicorn walks toward Twilight, then she cuts the ice wall in half. Twilight shoots her crossbow at the alicorn's helmet but one of her soldiers takes the arrow. He disappears after taking a shot
Twilight steps back and throws the crossbow at the dark blue alicorn. Another soldier blocks Nightmare Moon, then disappears. Twilight smiles as her horn shines brightly, but Nightmare Moon blasts it. Twilight's horn has now been covered in black crystals. She feels that mana can't get through to it.
Nightmare Moon drags the scythe and commands her soldiers to attack her. Suddenly, Twilight's front hooves lighten, creating a gust around her. Nightmare Moon, as well as the soldiers, step back. The dark blue alicorn and her soldiers fire at the purple alicorn, creating smoke around her.
The soldiers of Nightmare Moon surround the dark blue alicorn. After that, the purple alicorn is already on Nightmare Moon's back, taking off her helmet and revealing a crystal shard on her forehead. Nightmare Moon tries to shake off the purple alicorn, but she teleports back. This time she is in front of Nightmare Moon's head. Twilight quickly takes the crystal shard before Nightmare Moon can shake her off. Dark blue alicorns and their soldiers are fading away.
Twilight looks at the crystal shard and holds it. "Amelia will know more about this than that evil cat."
Twilight turns around and leaves the room. When she opens the door, a book falls on her head. Twilight picks it up. The book is titled "Nightmare Moon and Her Terror". Twilight sighs and throws it away.
Icey is training with her spear, but her wounds make her stop in the middle of the workout and sit down. The blue dragon huffs and turns to the black cat, who is watching the sky. She walks slowly toward the black cat, but a shadowy rope appears from her shadow and encircles her.
Icey is trying to get out of bounds but she starts falling. Luckily, Sunset catches her and puts her back on the chair. Sunset tries to release her but it's too strong. Sunset sighs. "Looks like Diana is quite... annoyed."
"Yep." Diana jumps on Icey's head. "And this adorable dragon is planning to pet me."
Icey tries to get away from the binding. "Can you get off me?"
Diana shakes her head. Sunset rubs her head. "Okay... so what will I do now? I have no work to do."
"Learn some spells." Diana tosses Sunset a book. The book slaps her face. Sunset gets up and glares at Diana. The black cat spins her paws. "How are you feeling right now?"
"Not so... I don't know." Sunset sighs. "I feel as if I am stealing a unicorn's memory."
"A unicorn? Are you seriously?" Icey huffs. "You literally claim my father in there."
Sunset denies. "Because first, you two are too tired. And second, you lost control."
"I'm not feeling well. Feeling a dragon rage inside me... makes me feel bad." Icey looks up at the cat. "Can you release me?"
Diana touches the rope and it disappears. "So, you wanna talk to your father?"
"I think not." Icey sighs. "First, you make him think that I am being mind controlled, and second, I hate him more than before."
"But... if you don't talk, then how can you and your father know each other?" Sunset rubs her head. "I mean, even if you hate him, he's still your father."
Icey sighs in frustration. "Fine. Just remove these red stripes." Then she stands up. "I think a talk will not hurt anyone."
Icey enters the airship. Diana shakes her head as she follows Icey to the airship.
Twilight comes out of the room and sees Shining Armor lying on the ground. Laughing, the purple alicorn sits beside the campfire. Shining Armor notices the black crystal on Twilight's horn. He runs to her and asks. "What's happening to your horn?"
Twilight says, "I just met Nightmare Moon. She did that to me." She puts her hooves on her horn and the black crystal disappears. "This is not helpful at all."
"What? Nightmare Moon?"
"She was created by this crystal shard." Twilight reveals the crystal shard. "But it seems like she was half real... like I am meeting a real Nightmare Moon."
"I see." Shining sighs. "You are very different from when you were staying at Canterlot."
"Oh, did I change?"
"A lot." Shining pokes the stick at the campfire. "When you were a filly, you would always stand on the chair in the library. Now..." Shining Armor turns to the purple alicorn. "You are now like a warrior. No fear or stay away from dangerous"
"Oh...maybe I am being brainwashed too." Twilight starts lying on the ground. "So... did you like me before or now?"
"I don't know through." Shining pats his sister's head. "But it's no matter, you will always be my little sister."
Twilight hugs her brother. "Thank you, you are my favorite brother."
Suddenly, the stones crack and a purple claw appears on the ground. After a while, Spike, Matt and the rest of the miners found them. Matt waves his arm. "Get out of here, this dungeon can only stay there for like five minutes."
Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle grasp each other. Spike takes both and runs away. Matt and the miners are also throwing away tools.
After they have all left the dungeon. The dungeon starts collapsing. Shining Armor gulps while Twilight squeezes Spike tight. The miners start counting the ponies to see if anyone is missing.
"Wow, that was good timing." Matt swings his left arm. "I wish there was only one left."
"Sure." Spike points at the miners. "Dueling with them first."
Matt turns around to see that many miners are glaring at him. Matt steps back and gulps. "Uh... can I have a break? It just is... I want it to be faster."
"Catch him. He is the one who has put us in danger."
The miners start chasing the swordsman. Shining won't ask, but it seems everything is fine. Now, the team will go back to the airship.
