Lighting Heaven Reincarnated

Chapter 23

Order or not order? That was the primary question going on inside my train of thoughts. What can I do to benefit both me and well, the Main 6?

Cuddling up in one of the slim corners, I pondered. My presence hasn't been made clear just yet, and everything seems to be normal, but how will I solve this dilemma? I can get rid of fading memories, but I can't get rid of an aching burnout, now can I?

So far, the only idea I have is to find another talented somepony to sew a dress for me, but it's not too realistic or easy. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saving future enemies of Equestria's domination or providing a pillow just when they're about to sleep. It's just that I urgently need a gown, and Rarity is one of the only options I know that I can easily go to right now.

But with my order, who knows which very fragile wall I'll be breaking next indirectly? Getting transported to Equestria after — which I'm not just over yet—dying, finding out there's a battle between literal gods going on and I'm very much involved, and more is very stressful, to say the least. I don't want to work my brain any more than I have to, and I have almost no ideas.

I glanced at the trio again. A thought suddenly forms inside my mind.

What if I don't work my brain, but myself instead?

I can help Rarity make the dresses, including mine, and avoid the burnout Rarity is going to have! And then I can just erase Rarity's memories and any bystanders, sweep the gala, then peace will finally return to my tense life. Soon as you know it, I'll be back to training and solving simple conflicts between side characters and the main six again.

But then, how am I going to make introductions and start the plan? Rarity will get suspicious...

"Any ideas for your dress, Lighting?"

My eyes darted to the side as Twilight asked me. The trio were staring at me as I silently stared back.

"Er, I think a simple trendy dress from Canterlot will do. Maybe from those royal noble mares." I answered. "If Rarity's confused, I can give a helping hoof. After all, I wouldn't want to take this favor for granted."

"That would be very appreciated, darling." Rarity commented with a smile. "I'm sure we can be able to know each other very well after this... exchange."

I nodded as I responded. "Just tell Twilight or Spike when you want me to come, and I'll be there in a moment's pause."

"Of course darling, and Applejack, we can work on those... duds of yours..."

Well, that went very well in my favor. You would think something bad-

"Look down below!" A raspy, very fast approaching pony alerted us. Before we all knew it, the roof came crashing down as a blue pegasus arose from the rubble. I rubbed my forehead in annoyance. There it is.

"Heh, sorry. New trick. Didn't quite work." Rainbow Dash apologized and explained. She didn't seem to glance my way, so maybe it's time to leave quietly as possible. There's no way I'm getting tangled with Rainbow Dash. But sadly, fate wanted to see me suffer.

"Idea~!" Rarity exclaimed as soon I took a single footstep. There goes my chance.

She then rapidly trotted towards Rainbow Dash, who was dusting herself off. "I'll make a dress for you, Twilight, and all of our friends! Then we'll storm the Gala, being the most fashionable ponies there! I'll go contact them right now, even."

Hey, wait, wait, I don't approve of this Rar-

But to my dismay, where Rarity walked was where I was, and Rainbow Dash turned to look eye to eye to me. I sighed as Rainbow gazed at me quite menacingly.

"What is... she doing here?" Rainbow Dash questioned Rarity as she rolled her eyes.

"Rainbow, she isn't going to bite you," Rarity said. "And her name is… “

Rarity turned to Twilight, which responded, “Lighting Heaven.”

“Besides, she's with Twilight. I'm sure that she's harmless." Rarity continued.

Rarity then turned to Twilight again, seeking reassurance.

"Yes, she's truly a sweetheart. I mean, she's so diligent in her studies, and such a nice student." Twilight complimented. "I'll be surprised if she did anything violent."

I mean, that one thug would disagree with you, but he's probably rotting away in a corner, so who cares?

"Alright..." Rainbow Dash gave in. "Maybe I'm overreacting. But maybe she can play with Sweetie Belle while the big ponies talk. I don't want her... snooping around where she doesn't need to be."

"Ah yes, our conversation would be pretty boring for such a young and pretty filly." Rarity agreed. "Now come on darling, follow me."

I inwardly shrugged. I mean, the worst thing that can happen is Sweetie Belle being a prick. I wanted to get out anyways, so all of this just went towards my favor. So, I stood up and followed Rarity, exiting the room. We left behind Rainbow Dash and Twilight, who started talking when Rarity and I left the vicinity.

"So, Twilight, how is it actually taking care of her?" Rainbow Dash inquired.

"Rainbow, I told you that she's a great filly." Twilight responded. "If you don't believe me, you should spend some time with Lighting to see she's great too."

"Surely she must be offering you something, right?" Rainbow Dash said, not backing down. "It's quite weird, how you don't show up for most of Pinkie's parties, spa days, or pretty much anything. And her cutie mark and the amulet she's wearing... is she important or am I wrong?"

"Rainbow, you have the wrong idea. You're just being too skeptical. She's just specialized in runes. Now please, if you excuse me, I'll like to wait for Rarity in silence." Twilight finally said, in a shunning voice. She sat in one of the spare guest sofas as Rainbow Dash sighed.

There's just this suffocating and stiff aura surrounding that filly that makes her so suspicious. Rainbow Dash would be a fool if she didn't notice. Sooner or later, she's going to get to the bottom of whatever is happening.
