After Danger Dean got beaten by Apple Lauda, he wants revenge. He pulls up with his Dodge Tomahawk (Group 1) on the Nordschleife. A few hours prior, Apple Lauda destroyed his usual victims during a 2 lap race in the group 4 category.
However, Apple Lauda has a secret weapon.
He is going to drive the 919 Hybrid LMP1 car, but there's a twist. This car is not restricted... And yes it is the car you think it is. It's the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo. That car is an absolute beast!!! During it's record run, the car hit 369 km/h on the Döttinger Höhe. However due to safety reasons, the two racers are not allowed to go on the track at the same time, which means that true racing is impossible.
"I saw what you did to all of them..." Danger mumbles. "For Celestia's sake, can you please let those people be? They want to have fun and not getting obliterated by somepony like you"
"pffftt... someone cracked my lap time but now I have the record back. There's no escape from me once you're on the Nordschleife" Apple Lauda scoffed.
"We'll see about that... this is the Tomahawk group 1... I have made many researches about this car and I should be able to beat you" Danger said.
"you know that the 919 Evo is faster than any other car on the planet, right?" Apple Lauda said.
"yes... in fact, I know how the car handles. I hope you're prepared because I managed to replicate the performance of your 919 Evo" Danger explains. "Anyways, what's the fastest time you've done with this car?"
"5:17.641" Apple Lauda responds. "I managed to get the 919 Evo about 10-15 km/h faster"
"anyways, let's start this battle..." Danger says and goes on the track. After he did his out lap, he starts his fast lap. He blasts through all of the corners like it's nothing. At Flugplatz, Danger's Dodge Tomahawk jumps at the crest and lands smoothly again.
Going towards Schwedenkreuz, Danger hits a top speed of 355 km/h but he has to brake for the fast left hander because in the corner, there's a little crest in the middle of the corner. But Danger has everything under control. The second intermediate time is shown on the display of the steering wheel.
He blasts with full speed through Fuchsröhre (fox hole in english), peaking at 320 km/h. After a few minutes, Danger reaches the Döttinger Höhe. He peakes at 365 km/h and after going through the final corners, Danger crosses the line in 5:16.472 minutes.
Apple Lauda gulps. He knows that he has to surpass his limits in order to win this battle. However, this isn't going into the daily race statistics because there has never been an group 1 race on the Nordschleife before. After a final system check, Apple Lauda starts his outlap and warms up his tyres.
During his out lap, the Nürburgring God takes calm breaths and enjoys the slow lap around the Nordschleife and asks the Eifel Gods for maximum protection because Apple Lauda has never driven the 919 Evo in this state before. He managed to maximize the gearbox, resulting in a 10 km/h top speed increasement.
After some 6 and a half minutes later, Apple Lauda starts his flying lap. As he exits the Nordkehre, the hybrid boost immediately kicks in hard, causing the car to accelerate so fast that Apple Lauda hits the rev limiter. This causes Apple Lauda's pace to shrink quite drastically compared to a perfect run.
At the Karussell, Apple Lauda faces another problem. He can't use the banking because the car would bottom out, which means that Danger Dean has good chances of winning this battle. Going through Hohe Acht and Hedwigshöhe, the Nürburgring God finds his old rhythm again and blasts through the corners, gaining a bit on Danger Dean. Everything until the Döttinger Höhe goes flawless and Apple Lauda is by 1 second up on the British Speedfreak. Apple Lauda knows that he might lose this one.
"I stalemated in a game of chess even though I had 3 queens but I'm not going to stalemate this one!!" Apple Lauda says to himself in confidence. But then, a major blunder happens in T13 which is the final corner of the Nordschleife. Apple Lauda presses the boost button and gets a bit too hard on the throttle, causing the car to fishtail and Apple Lauda crosses the line in 5:16.473 minutes. Apple Lauda screams in rage.
"HUGE BLUNDER!!!! HUGE BLUNDER!!!! AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!" Apple Lauda yells.
"OH MY GOSH ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! NO WAY I JUST TOOK DOWN THE NÜRBURGRING GOD!!!!" Danger Dean cheers.
"EVERYPONY LISTEN!!!! THE NÜRBURGRING GOD HAS FALLEN IN THE GROUP 1 CATEGORY!!!"
The crowd bursts out in cheers, celebrating the victory of the British Speedfreak. Apple Lauda returns to the pits and congratulates Danger Dean to his victory.
"that was the biggest blunder I've ever done in my entire career..." Apple Lauda says. "but hey... can't win 'em all"
"that was really close though" Danger Dean says.
"Indeed" Apple Lauda says. "I know what I'm going to do next: I will improve my 6:59.863 because I'm bored" the Nürburgring God adds
Danger Dean has done it, he has defeated Apple Lauda, the Nürburgring God. The british speedfreak heads home in relief. "I'm so glad he didn't want to take revenge, which is very odd... Maybe he is tired of winning all the time" Danger Dean says.
Apple Lauda heads home as well. "man what a day it was. I'm happy for Danger that he won. It was about time someone else wins. I was getting tired of winning all the time. But I will leave it be like that. Whatever, there are some nerds I have to destroy" Apple Lauda says as he looks over to a group of 6 mares and another group of ponies. "Alright who wants to get destroyed?" Apple Lauda says as he walks back towards the Nordschleife.
