//------------------------------// // Working Together // Story: Equestria Ninja Girls Shell Shocked // by Wildcard25 //------------------------------// Static and Gear lead their new friends to an abandoned gas station. “This is it,” Static pointed, “It ain’t the Hilton,” He paused as he opened the door, "Let’s face it. You’d all be better off staying at the Hilton.” The Turtles, April, Casey, and Rainbooms followed the two in the gas station. As they entered, they all looked around. “This isn’t so bad.” Sunset looked around. “I beg to differ,” Rarity huffed, “It’s so dusty!” She started to dust one of the chairs. As she did, she then noticed a rat scurry before she shrieked and jumped into Applejack’s arms. “How can you two stand it here?!” She gasped. “Get a grip, Rarity.” Applejack rolled her eyes as she dropped the fashion girl. “Can’t you see you scared the poor thing?” Fluttershy scolded as she pat the creature. “I SCARED IT?!” “Don’t mind Rarity. She’s always picky about cleanliness.” Rainbow told the hero duo. “It’s kinda like our lair if it was above ground.” Mikey guessed. “Not bad.” Raph shrugged. As they all gathered round, Static and Gear took off their masks. Richie’s backpack crawled off his back like a droid as Twilight noticed. “Wow! Your backpack is a droid, Richie?” she gasped. “Yep. Backpack here is a highly intelligent multipurpose device I can wear on my back. It’s capable of surveillance and other semi-independent activities.” Richie explained. “I gotta make me one of those.” Twilight awed. “I could show you my schematics.” Richie offered as he led her to a counter. “So, how long have you been operating here?” Casey asked. “Since Richie became Gear and started inventing stuff.” Virgil explained. “Aren’t you guys worried they might tear it down?” April worried. “Nah. Been like this for years. However, we had been thinking about getting a rendezvous place.” “Till then, this is our little base of operation,” Richie smiled as he sat down. “But enough about us. Since we know how you guys came to be, could you tell us the whole story?” “We would be honored.” Leo smiled. As Virgil passed around sodas to everyone, the Ninjas told the two the long version of their story. From the rivalry of Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki to their endless fights with the Foot and the Kraang as well as their adventures in space and how they met the Rainbooms. Sunset then told them about Equestria and the girls’ counterparts, as well as Princess Twilight. She felt sheepish telling of her dark past, but the others helped her not feel ashamed. After hearing the whole story, Virgil and Richie were both surprised and amazed. “A whole world of talking ponies?” Virgil asked. “Sounds amazing. Though some would think that would be girlish, but I find it awesome.” Richie stated. “And I’m sorry about Master Splinter,” Virgil bowed, “I… know what it’s like to lose a parent.” “Sorry, sugarcube.” Applejack patted his shoulder. “That’s okay. I know she’s in a better place.” Just then, the makeshift radio crackled to life, getting the groups attention, “Attention, all units! There’s a giant green blob attacking downtown! Send backup now!” “Sounds familiar.” Richie chimed in. “Duty calls.” Virgil added as the two donned their masks and Static turned to the group. “Guess we got a chance for us to work together.” “Guess so.” Leo nodded. “We’re ready to help.” Twilight stated. “Alright. Follow us!” Gear grinned as they all headed out. Static and Gear made sure they weren’t going too fast for the Ninjas and Rainbooms. They were even more surprised how well they kept up. Soon they all arrived at the top of a building nearby the scene and saw the overgrown green blob. “Goopzilla.” Static glared. “I would’ve SO named it that!” Mikey declared before Raph clonked his head. “Mikey likes to name every villain we encounter.” Donnie told the two hero. “I see,” Static pondered before turning to the party dude, “Tell you what, Mikey, first new villain we encounter, you get to name’em.” “Really?” Mikey gasped as his eyes lit up. “Oh, don’t encourage him!” Raph rolled his eyes. “Any who, what’s the story about that overgrown jello mold?” Applejack asked, trying to get everyone back on track. “It’s an overgrown amoeba affected by the Big Bang.” Gear explained. “That’s a big amoeba!” gasped Twilight. “And I thought mutagen did enough damage.” April added. “So how do we stop that thing?” Sunset asked. “Gear and I will draw its attention while you guys get civilians outta here. Once they’re safe, we’ll try to immobilize it. And above all, DON’T let it eat you!” “You heard Static. Let’s take it down!” Leo declared as they all drew their weapons and jumped into action. As Static and Gear got Goopzilla’s attention by firing electricity and explosives at it, The Ninjas and Rainbooms got people to evacuate the area, even though some ran at the sight of the Turtles. “You’re welcome!” Raph shouted. Leo and Twilight blocked one of the tendrils from grabbing a teenage girl with black hair, red shirt, and blue jeans. Hearing her gasped, Leo expected her to run like the others. “Yes, go ahead. It’s not like we saved your life or anything.” He sighed. However, the girl looked more curious than scared. “Are….you guys friends of Static?” she asked. “We are.” Twilight answered. “Thank you. Any friend of Static is a friend of mine. I’m Daisy.” And she took her leave. Once the people were evacuated, the Ninjas joined the battle. But no matter how much they slashed it, the amoeba kept regenerating and fought back, while Rarity mostly dodged for her complextion’s sake. One of the tendrils tried to grab Gear only to get smacked by Casey’s hockey stick. “Goongala!” “Nice swing, Jones!” Gears called, giving a thumbs up. Casey grinned giving a thumbs up back. Static descended to Leo, Raph, Sunset, and Twilight who recoiled from a hit. “It’s stronger than the last time.” He groaned. “How’d you beat it last time?” Sunset asked. “Well, it hated the cleaning water from the janitor’s mop bucket because of the disinfectant.” Mikey jumped over. “So…. We get a mop bucket?” “No!” Twilight scolded. “Just a mop?” Pinkie chimed in. “THE DISINFECANT!” Donnie shouted. “Where do we get disinfectant around here?” Applejack pondered. “On it!” Rainbow used her super speed and ran off, only to return seconds later with bags of disinfectant cleaners, “This enough?” “Hopefully.” Static breathed. “I got an idea.” Leo grinned. Shortly, the group went on top of the buildings, surrounding Goopzilla. Half of them sprayed disinfectant on the blob, causing it to shriek, while the rest threw shruiken, and Sunset with her kunai, piercing it. Leo looked towards Static. “Now, Static!” Static nodded and fired electricity that struck the shuriken and kunai that conducted it, causing it to hurt the giant amoeba so much it exploded. Rarity used her shield to protect everyone, while Mikey unfortunately had some splashed in his mouth. “Blech! Taste awful!” he cried in disgust. “So gotta say it,” Gear grinned before shouting, “Booyakasha!” Static landed next to Leo. “Looks like we’re gonna get along just fine.” Leo nodded as the two fist bumped. After Goopzilla was defeated, the group went back to the gas station. Static and Gear changed out of their costumes and were now wearing the clothes they had in school. “It’s getting late. My pops’ expecting me home for dinner.” Virgil said. “Same with my folks.” Richie added. “So, where are we gonna stay?” Fluttershy wondered. “I’m certainly not staying in there! Besides, there’s not enough room for all of us.” Rarity huffed. “Fraid you’re right, Rarity, so we wouldn’t dream of suggesting it,” Richie shrugged before pondering, “But there maybe a place for all you guys.” Soon, they arrive at an old rundown music store called Stonegas Records. “This used to be a music store until the owners became metahumans.” Virgil explained as the girls looked around. “Hmm. A little polish and paint could fix this place up.” Applejack stated. “I suppose it’s better than the gas station.” sighed Rarity. “Me and the girls will stay here.” April explained. “And there’s an old juvie hall not far from here where you fellas can stay.” Richie told Casey and the Turtles. “Okay. We’ll meet at the gas station first thing in the morning.” Leo instructed. “Sounds good.” Sunset agreed. “Sleep well.” Twilight wished as the guys made their leave. Not long after, Virgil and Richie showed the Turtles and Casey the old run-down juvie hall. “This was where Gear made his first appearance. I was held prisoner here.” Virgil shared. “I think we can make this work.” Leo looked around as Mikey jumped around claiming any he could get. “This room here? Mine! And where you’re standing. Also mine.” Finally, Raph clonked him on the head. “I could really tune this place up.” Donnie looked around. “Thank you for hooking us up with this.” Leo thanked the duo. “No problem. Well, we better get going.” Virgil nodded. “See you guys tomorrow.” Richie waved as the two headed home. “Alright. Time to get comfy.” Casey boasted as he picked a room and laid back. “It’s pizza time!” Mikey cheered as he searched the phonebook. “Think Subprime is making his move yet?” Raph asked his leading brother. “No doubt. But there’s not much we can do after fighting that giant amoeba.” Leo yawned. “Yeah I suppose you’re right.” Raph sighed, knowing he was beat as well. “We’ll start searching tomorrow.” Leo promised as they all got settled in “Can I pick’em? Or can I pick’em?” Armaggon returned to the warehouse, taking off bags off some former Bang Babies. Ebon wasted no time in gathering former members of his gang. Some joined willingly, like Carmendillo and Slipstream. Others, like Puff and Onyx, were brought by Bixolio and accepted the invite. The ones Armaggon kidnapped look around in fear. “Well done, Armaggon.” Ebon stepped in. “E-Ebon?” stuttered one of the boys. “W-what do you want from us?” “Don’t be nervous. I just wanted to restore what was lost to you.” Then, Ebon and Krang Subprime both grabbed a canister, opened them, and began to pour mutagen on the kidnapped kids, who struggled to get free. The warehouse was filled with the two’s laughter as Hotstreak glared, Shiv grinned, Kangor crossed his arms, and Talon turned away.
