“So, They wanna get tough, eh?”

Applejack was then thrown onto Rainbow Dash. “I think that was a huge giveaway, Rainbow.”

What started as a usual visit where the Rainbooms visited their friends from New York had turned to a battle against old enemies. They had received word from Bishop of the Utrom that their bounty hunter enemy, Armaggon, had escaped prison along with the renegade Utrom, Bixolio, as well as some Kraang droids that had not been rehabilitated yet. They tracked the renegades at a warehouse in New York. Before long, both sides were fighting again.

“You twerps aren’t gonna get the best of me this time!” Armaggon declared as he fired missiles from his suit.

“Give it up, Armaggon! You’ll never beat us!” Leo cried.

“You’ve always underestimated us!” Twilight added.

“Well, this time, Armaggon’s gonna have the victory!”

Bixolio added, “And I still owe you brats fer ruinin my scam in Moo Mesa!”

“Would it help that we weren’t there for that?” Casey asked before dodging a swing.

“Apparently not.” Raph dodged another swing from Armaggon.

“Anyone who helps our enemies is our enemy!” Bixolio declared.

“Even with you two together, you won’t be able to beat us!” April stated.

“That’s why I freed them myself!”

Everyone looked and, to their shock, saw Kraang Subprime emerged from the corner. His Shredder exosuit was damaged but still functional.

“Kraang Subprime?!” Everyone gasped.

“Why can’t you stay beaten?” Rarity groaned.

“Because Kraang Subprime CAN’T be beaten!” Subprime declared, “After Rainbow Bum kicked me into the portal, I was able to make my way back to Dimension X! There I found these two imprisoned and released them under the condition that we team up against you girls and freaks! And when I’m done with you, I’m gonna pay your Bat Buddy a visit!”

“Never gonna happen!” Raph cried.

“Time to crack some shell!” Armaggon licked his lips.

“Not yet!” Subprime opened a portal, “We still got stuff to do before we have our revenge!”

“And where we headin', Subprime?” Bixolio asked as Kraang droids entered the portal.

“We’re going to a place where a big bang happened.”

Twilight overhearing perked up.

“See ya round, losers!” Subprime smirked as he, Armaggon, and Bixolio hurried to the portal.

“Stop Them!” Leo ordered.

But they ended up piling on each other as the portal closed.

“Well that’s embarrassing.” April muttered as they all picked themselves.

“Great! Now how do we find them?” Raph huffed.

“Big bang.” Twilight repeated.

“Do you know something, Twilight?” Sunset asked.

The group headed back to the lair in Donnie’s lab where Twilight explained her thought.

“Remember when we were stuck in Gotham?” she asked.

“Where we met Batman and his team?” Fluttershy asked.

“Ah yes,” Fugitoid said. “It was a doozy to find you all. At least this Batman helped you all.”

“Yeah. And Raph and AJ didn’t like him at all.” Mikey chuckled before Raph clonked him on his head.

“Look! In our defense, we were worried about getting home!” he shouted.

“Still, I ain’t too proud of giving him the cold shoulder when he agreed to help us.” sighed Applejack.

“Well, I was no better myself.” April pointed out, recalling how she got jealous when Donnie eyed Batgirl.

“The important thing is you all learned, and we left Batman and his crew on good terms.” Sunset assured her friends, who smiled knowing it is true.

“Anyway,” continued Twilight, “During some of our downtime in the Batcave, I read about an article on the bat computer,” She then held up a flash drive, “Luckily, Mr. Pennyworth was nice enough to let me copy the file on this flash drive.”

“Gotta love Alfred.” Casey grinned.

Twilight gave Donnie the flash drive, who hooked the flash drive on his computer and brought up the file as everyone gathered.

“The Dakota City Big Bang.” The smart turtle read.

“That’s the one.” Twilight confirmed before Donnie continued.

“According to this, the police were testing this new tear gas on some gang members at a chemical facility. Gun shots were fired, resulting in chemicals being released and combining with the tear gas, resulting in a couple of the punks gaining powers and mutating. The event was called the Big Bang.”

“Meta-humans?” April and Sunset gasped.

“Precisely.”

“Metahumans? That’s what everyone called us in Gotham.” Rainbow pointed out.

“Wait. There’s more,” Donnie continued, “One of these metahumans became Dakota City’s local hero.”

He pulled up a picture of an African American teenage boy with black locks. He wore a dark blue trentchcoat over a black shirt and pants, blue gloves, and had a white mask and blue goggles over his eyes. He was riding a circular board glowing with electricity.

“His name is Virgil Hawkins. When he was affected by the gas, he discovered he could manipulate electricity. He then made himself an outfit and called himself Static.”

“I would’ve called him that!” Mikey boasted, “Either that or ‘Shocker’.”

“I think that last one is taken.” Rainbow stated.

“Robin told me that Static had helped Batman a couple times.” Twilight added.

“So, it’s safe to say he’s a friend.” Sunset confirmed.

Casey looked at Donnie’s computer to notice another picture of Static. He was joined by another teenage boy who wore a green jumpsuit and a blue helmet with a green visor. On his back was a mechanical backpack.

“Hey, D! who’s that? His sidekick?” he pointed.

“According to the info, He’s Richie Osgood Foley, Virgil’s best friend and confidant. He was the first to know about Virgil’s secret. Passive exposure to the Bang Gas gave him super-intelligence, which enabled him to easily invent rocket-powered boots and "Backpack", a highly intelligent multipurpose device worn on the back capable of surveillance and other semi-independent activities. With this equipment, he became a superhero named "Gear" and became Static's full-time partner in crime-fighting.”

“Impressive.” Twilight admitted.

“Even so, I don’t think they’ll stand a chance against Subprime, Armaggon, and Bixolio.” Raph stated.

“Raph’s right. We have to stop those three before they do anymore damage in any dimension!” Leo agreed.

Donnie walked to his shelf and pulled out his portal projector. He also grabbed a couple other things and put them in a bag. Some of the others did a little packing themselves, or in Rarity’s case, some ‘essentials’. Soon, everyone was ready to head out.

Leo turned to the Fugitoid. “Professor, could you let Karai know that we’ll be gone to another world?”

“I will let Bishop know as well,” The robot saluted, “You all just be careful out there.”

“Everyone ready?” Donnie looked to the group.

“Ready when you are, D.” April answered.

Fluttershy noticed something and asked Twilight, “Um Twilight? Where’s Spike?”

“Oh, he’s just asleep in my bag. He’ll probably wake up when we get there.” Twilight said.

Fugitoid turned a couple nobs on the portal projector, then gave it back to Donnie. “These are the coordinates Pawn and I used to find find you in Gotham. This should get you to Dakota City.”

“Thanks, Professor.” Donnie pointed the projector and shot opened a portal, “Next stop. Dakota City!”

The Turtles, April, Casey, and Rainbooms all entered the portal. Sunset was the last to enter and waved goodbye to Fugitoid before entering the closing portal.

“Good luck to you all.” He whispered.
