I was sneaking through the castle. I was heading towards the kitchens in hopes of raiding the fridges when all of a sudden I crashed into a pony. The pony was an orange unicorn mare with a red and yellow mane and a rad and yellow fiery sun as a cutie mark.
"Sunset what are you doing up at this time?" I asked suspiciously. Me and Sunset Shimmer never saw eye to eye, I thought she was a stuck up snob and she thought I wasn't 'worthy of being Princess Celestia's son'.
"I could say the same thing for you" she sneered.
"I am taking a midnight stroll.The last time I checked I lived here unlike you." I said while pointing at my mother's student.
She rolled her eyes and snorted "Sure you are. If you don't mind I have somewhere to be" she then barged pass me.
I shouted back to her retreating back "Your supposed to bow down to royalty!"
I then continued on my mission nick some of my mother's secret cake stash. I licked my lips at the thought.
Gazing into the dark and gloomy kitchen. Spying the gleaming, large, silver fridge, I looked around and tiphoofed to the fridge and opened it to reveal a large chocolate cake with smooth chocolate icing. My mouth started to water at the sprinkled covered cake. "Come to papa" I whispered while enveloping the delicious treat in my orange aura, my large, angelic wings rustled in excitement.
Not bothering with a knife, I started to grab pieces of cake with my magic and started to stuff my face very unroyal like. I sniggered at what my royal tutor, who teaches me how to act like a prince with etiquette, would say if she saw me eating like this.
My cake eating venture would have been perfect if it wasn't for the guards bursting the door down. I merely raised my eyebrow at them who looked very angry. It wouldn't surprise me as one of my hobbies was peeving the captain of the royal guard of as much as possible.
The guards parted ways for my mother and to say she was angry would be an understatement. "Oh Hi mum. I did not eat this cake er it was him" I said pointing at Captain Knife Edge.
Celestia didn't even smile "Why Solar, why did you betray me"
This made me laugh "Don't you think you're being a little overdramatic. It's only cake"
"I'm not talking about the cake!" She snarled, her words felt like knives cutting my laughter of.
"M mum what do you mean?" I asked nervously I have never seen my mother so angry before.
"Take us to your room NOW" she commanded.
I gulped and scampered in front while leading the way to my room. I had no idea why she was angry. Entering my room, she started to search it. pulling out drawers, emptying the closet and even flipping the bed. She then went over to a section of my wall, where I kept my secret stash of sweets, ripping the section of the wall. Revealing a small, purple chest that Ive never seen before. She opened the chest which shown five stone balls with different shapes etched into them.
She turned to look at me I knew that if looks could kill I would be six hoofs under "What did you do to them" she whispered dangerously.
"Did what. I didn't do anything. Mum you're scaring me" she then grabbed me by the scruff of my neck all the while I was begging her to see sense. She dragged me to the main doors that lead into the castle.
"Go. Leave Equestria and NEVER return!"
"But Mum"
"No you are no son of mine. I hate you". I couldn't believe it.
"Fine I'll I'll go princess" I said finally and flew of into the near by forest. The words I Hate You reverberating through my head. I found a cave and cried myself to sleep.

"Is he going to be ok?" An unknown voice asked with concern.
"He should be" a second voice replied. I woke up to see a teenage colt Pegasus and an older unicorn. The Pegasus had an orange coat with a scarlet mane and tale he had a cutie mark of a pair of rollerblades.
The unicorn had shimmering, grey coat with a purple mane, her cutie mark were three silver stars. "Where am I?" I asked after I noticed that I was in a small house.
The unicorn said while bowing "Your highness, we found you in a cave in the Everfree forest. We decided to bring you here to our house in Ponyville"
I recognized the name. Ponyville was a relatively small and new village just south of Canterlot. I then asked "If you don't mind me asking who are you?"
"My name is Twinkle Shine and this is my son Skater" she said gesturing to the Pegasus I raised my eyebrow. I've heard of ponies giving birth to foals who were of different breed.
All of a sudden there was a pounding on the door a voice, which I immediately recognised as Sharp Point, the captain of my personal guard, shout "ROYAL GUARD, OPEN UP!"
Twinkle Shine went to open the door while I mentally prepared to teleport away at a moment's notice. When she opened the door Sharp point along with six of my other personal guards burst in "Your highness. Your OK, I heard what happened I just want you to know that whatever happens we have your back."
"Thanks your a great stallion" I told him.
He then said "We need to get out of here if the princess finds out your here she'll send you to the dungeons."
After this another guard rushed in "There's a platoon of guards on the way"
Sharp Point whisked me of my hooves and gripped me in his aura. I was barely able to mutter my thanks to Twinkle Shine and Skater before we teleported to the train station. Using his Royal Guard powers he managed to score us free train tickets for each of us to the coastal city of Baltimare.
When we arrived Sharp immediately started leading us towards the port where he took us to a ship. He then explained "I've rented this vessel to take us to an island down in the south."
I didn't know what to think other than my life was just getting started...
