Before the events:
After taking a shower I quickly got out of the bathroom and headed straight toward my room to change because I didn't want to be late. I had promised my mom that I would visit her today to celebrate Christmas with her and the rest of the family. I was currently studying on becoming a nurse in the big city and my parents were in the countryside of Cebu meaning I had to leave immediately since usually, it takes about 3 hours to reach where they were living and I had to be there exactly 12:00 and it was already 9:35. Nevertheless, I began locking the house I was staying at. my roommate had a spare key so I had nothing to worry. he had to work a night shift at Mcdonald's and was going to come home anytime soon. I then walked my way towards the car that my father gave to me when I turned 19 as a birthday gift. This old gal had been part of the family since I was 12 and she still works like a charm. with that my 3-hour journey to the countryside had begun.
During the trip to the countryside, I was blasting music from my car and even sang along with the lyrics of the songs. And you might be wondering what I'm listening to right now. Well it's none other than PrinceWhatever’s music of course, I love his music and I can't even get over them. My personal favorites are frailty, shrouded integrity, false crown, and solidarity! And yes I am indeed a brony, or rather a closet brony since I wouldn't even dare show my love for the show in front of my friends and family. that thought alone would be embarrassing. In fact, I think most of the Filipinos that enjoy my little pony are closet bronies just like me. I had never seen an actual Filipino brony walking around the streets wearing mlp stuff on him and if their were, well many eyes will be on them. Putting those thoughts aside I remembered when I first got into the show. sadly I wasn't there for the entirety, I joined the fandom around 2020 just a year after G4’s last episode aired on television. But the fan animations are what really got me into the show in the first place. Who knew a show for girls would be so dramatic and dark.
Around 12:50 in the afternoon, I finally arrived at my family’s farm. A two-story tall building with a balcony overlooking the farm side. The house was painted white mixing with a bit of pink and the roof was colored red. I was currently standing right in front of the doorway, knocking on the door I was greeted by my mom a large smile came across her face.
“Anak dumating ka!”(Son you came!) she says hugging me tightly.
I chuckled a bit. “Yes mom I did just like I said yesterday,” I said hugging her back.
She let go of the hug and looked at me. “oh akala ko nagbibiro ka lang,”(oh I thought you were only joking.)she said giving me a sad look which I gave her a deadpan look for the false thinking.
“Ma, why would I joke something about that?” I said still giving her a deadpanned look.
“oh di bale pumasok na ang iba sa pamilya matutuwa silang makita ka,”(oh never mind the rest of the family has come in they will be happy to see you.) She says returning her smile and gesturing to me inside her house.
After 4 hours of non-stop helping around the farm, I finally had some time to get some rest. I sat on a wooden bench with a herd of chickens just right beside me as I had a perfect view of the sun setting down for the moon to shine. It's times like these that I genuinely enjoy the most, just relaxing on a wooden bench under neat a tree watching the sunset while feeding some chickens that are free-roaming around the grassy fields of land my parents bought. they built a net fence so that they won't try to run or try to fly away. It's also these times where I am left with my thoughts and I…..was thinking about my future. During my college years, I spent time learning and studying to be the good nurse that I wanted myself to be but also had times were I would play video games especially valorant to keep me entertained among other things. Now graduation is just around the corner and when that comes I don't think I would have time to play games anymore, more likely anything that I do for fun I won't be able to do much anymore. I'm gonna miss being a kid believe it or not everyone misses being young but now I am about to be a part of society just like my eldest sister that is a firefighter. Taking a deep breath I continued to stare at the sun still setting over the horizon . “My life had just begun.” I thought to myself just then I heard my eldest sister call out my name from the house.
“Justin! Halika sa loob at tulungan mo ako dito!”(Justin! Come inside and help me out here!) My sister shouted.
“Papunta na ako!”(I'm Coming!) I shouted back.
Realizing I was lost in thought, I wasted a hand full of chicken feeds. I quickly scooped up the feeds on the ground and placed them back into the bucket. the chickens were long gone now so I didn't want to waste them. At that moment was when I had been ripped apart from my own world and into another as I turned and started walking back, I was greeted by a white light and next a loud bang rang into my ears, then I was unconscious.
Present:
“Who are you?!” I shouted at the figure.
The figure continued to stare at me with his red eyes of his that I could have wet my pants if I wanted to just by staring at them. After clearing its throat it began to speak.
“I am…..” He paused probably trying to think of a name for himself. “a friend.” he finally said.
Aw hell no, with that deep and dark voice of his along with that black smoke coming around his body and with those red glowing eyes would say he was a friend of mine? I wasn't falling for it but I had to think of something fast. The last thing I want is for this guy to kill me where I was standing.
“Ok….that's reassuring,” I said trying to hide the nervousness in my voice then I continued. “where am I and how did I get here?” I said to him waving my hands around the forest we were in.
“I summoned you here, you are currently in the land of Equestria and this is the Everfree forest.” he said crossing his arms.
It was then that the moonlight shone before us and I could properly take a look at this “friend” of mine. He was wearing a black hoodie with white stripes in it and jeans that seemed to be torn apart. It was another human.
That was when I also realized what he had just said and my eyes shot wide open as I began to stand up. “WE ARE IN WHAT?!!” I shouted again taking a few steps closer to him. I didn't want to believe where I thought I was.
“I suggest you ready yourself for what's about to happen,” He said taking a few steps back and leaning himself against a tree.
“What?” Just then howls were heard that echoed throughout the forest we were in and shortly after I then see green glowing eyes coming from the left side of the forest and then more to my right. timberwolves.
“Oh, right Everfree forest hehe.” I said chuckling nervously realizing we were both screwed.
