It’s that time of the year were everypony is getting ready to celebrate the new year with friends and family, they were getting the drinks ready to celebrate, having a traditional meal to be thankful for and things have been quiet around since a certain pony moved to Canterlot after some point the legion of Doom was turned to stone.
Ponyville
Every year Mayor mare host a new year party at town hall, were pony’s can ring in the new year but it wasn’t being held at the town hall this year cause the roof was starting to come down due to the heavy snow they had for 2 days straight and so she wonders what to do but then a idea came to mind.
She was walking towards the crystal castle that a princess was living in, once she reached her destination, she then walks up the stairs and knocks on the doors, after a while the doors open revealing a unicorn mare who has a pinkish-purple coat, purple eyes, purple and mint streaked mane and tail and her cutie mark is compass with a swirl line and is wearing a white fluffy robe her name was Starlight Glimmer.
“Hello Starlight, how are you doing” said the Mayor
“I’m doing fine Mayor mare, how are things going with the new year at the hall” Starlight said to the Mayor
Mayor mare is a tan earth pony with a gray mane and tail, a white collar with a green fluffy around her neck, blue eyes and wearing glasses and is wearing a blue warm sweater.
She was a bit nervous to ask her about what she was going to tell her but seeing as it’s new year she closes her eyes and then opens then and says.
“If it’s no trouble at all can we held the new year tradition here at Twilight castle cause the twin hall has a hole and I won’t be able to fix it, till next year so please can we ?”.
Starlight was surprised about that, she put her left hood under her chin while she was thinking she then came to a condition that she shared with the mayor “Sure, but one condition”
The Mayor was surprised with a smile that Starlight had agreed to do it but she was sure what the condition was going to be she had just hope it was something so complicated or big she just hope it would bring everypony together, while she was lost in her thoughts Starlight put one of her hoof’s on the mayor and said.
“What’s the condition Starlight”
“I invite Princess Twilight Sparkle to join us to celebrate the new year with us, cause I believe she misses everypony here” Starlight had said with a warm smile on her face and hopping it works.
“Starlight Glimmer that is the …. best idea you have, let’s do it” the mayor responded with enthusiasm and cheers.
Meanwhile in Canterlot
Princess Twilight was in the throne room sitting in her chair looking out of her windows, and there in the distance there’s a little town that she was living in, she wishes that she was there cause she misses her friends there and celebrating it has been years since she took the throne and the 2 royal sisters retire, she was picturing of all the good memories she had made with them and all the lessons she had learned.
Her train of thoughts were interrupted when her royal doors were opening and what was coming in was a big mussel dragon that was wearing a blue and green stripe scarf, that has purple scales, green spikes on his back, and also green on his belly and has wings, has both his claws behind him and been with Twilight since the day he was hatch from his egg. He was non other than Spike the Dragon.
“Hey Twilight how was today court”
Twilight sighs and then looks into Spikes eyes and says “Just the same as ever dealing with politics and lots of paperwork tons of it, I just wish that I was with my friends to celebrate the new year with them”
Spike saw how upset Twilight is looking, but what he had behind him would make her feel better but he’s moment was put on hold when one of the doors was opening was a royal guard except it wasn’t a pony it was a griffin that has blue feathers plus pale amber on his chest, a beak, eagle claws, lion tail and his eye colour are azure blue. (His name is Gallus).
“Sorry to interrupt your talk your highness but there are some visitors here to see you”
Both of them were shock to hear that there are visitors coming it made Twilight give a small smile and then the other door opens wide and there were were 2 ponies that no pony had expected to drop by. The two ponies were the former rulers of Equestria Celestia and Luna both of them were smiling at Twilight and Spike and walks to them and give them the biggest hug ever.
After they had their hug’s they let go and Celestia spoke “How are you both doing”
Twilight responds are “Things have something like paperwork and just dealing with pony problems like who wants a holiday cabin with a beach view” ended with a sigh.
It was Luna turn to speak “Will at least we are here to make thing better for you and spike to make it enjoyable, cause our new year is always the same as ever, we just drink and just tell stories”
“Well you girls are in for a surprise cause I’ve got a surprise for you all” Spike had said with some excitement about what he’s going to do, then all 3 alicorn turns to where Spike is standing and saw that he pulls something from behind him, when he pulls out a scroll and starts to read it.

After reading what was on the scroll he looks at the the Alicons who has shocks on their faces and eyes as wide as plates but then Twilight says about loud
“LETS ALL GO TO PONYVILLE!!!”
After a trip to the train station they were in the carriage getting ready to celebrate with everypony of Ponyville especially Twilight after they got to ponyville they went to the castle that was covered in celebration in welcoming Twilight when the went in they saw that everypony, the elements of harmony were there, the wonderbolts in fact all the friends that Twilight had made came here even Tempest Shadow (Fizzled pop berry twist) came to join.
After the the welcoming was done they all just relies that the the former princess are with as well they all cheered louder and soon Pinkie came out and pass out cups of Cider and said “Come on pony’s it’s so pose to be a party for the new year” and so everypony start to chat with everypony all catching up on what’s been going on with there lives, even the the former princess were enjoying it as will.
When it was getting close to the bells they all got close they all rise ther cups and all said in unison
“HAPPY NEW YEAR YAY!!!”
