//------------------------------// // Long Over // Story: Its All So Bittersweet, But That Doesn't Mean It Wasn't Worthwhile // by sourrisk //------------------------------// “Your majesty, you have a letter.” “Hm. Let me see.” Responded Twilight, taking the letter from Spike using her horn. It was from Pinkie-Pie. She had sent letters before, telling her of her adventures. It had been many, many moons since Pinkie-Pie had left that fateful day, but Twilight still had a piece of the other pony glued to her heart. Stuck to her heart with rainbow frosting and confetti. She read the letter, it saying typical things Pinkie-Pie was up to. Throwing a party, making a huge cake. She seemed to be having fun. The next paragraph made Twilight feel a pull on her heart. And guess what? I’ve met somepony! Well, I already knew him, but we’ve been going on dates for a few moons! It’s Cheese Sandwich, remember him? He’s really cool and really nice. You taught me a lot about relationships, and I hope I can use what I learned! “Twilight? Are you alright?” Asked Spike. Twilight realized she had a few tears running down her face. She wasn’t sad, she was smiling. Cheese Sandwich, he matched Pinkie perfectly. Pinkie-Pie must be so happy. How wonderful. “My apologies, Spike. All good news, I’m just getting emotional over how far my friends have gone.” Responded Twilight, continuing to smile lightly. Spike still seemed concerned, but didn’t question further, “Alright.” Pinkie-Pie must be so happy. She hopes Cheese Sandwich treats her well and the relationship lasts. Good for Pinkie. She read the rest of the letter, continuing to smile. She would write back later, Twilight wanted to sit with her thoughts for a moment. The time she had with Pinkie-Pie is long over, but she will never forget what they had, what it felt like. One chapter in the long book that is her life has passed. And she can’t wait to see what happens next.
