//------------------------------// // Chapter 22 // Story: Lighting Heaven Reincarnated // by A random pony oc //------------------------------// It's been a while. And I mean a long while. The Winter Wrap Up went successfully without any hiccups, as they all had their tussles and laughs long ago. If I have one complaint, it was the fact that I didn't get a good view of Twilight's interactions with the main six properly. I can't go strutting with Twilight all the way, as I'm quite suspicious in the eyes of her friends and a select few. But alas, that's in the past now, as there has been a lot more of episodes. Two weeks after the Winter Wrap Up, the next episode appeared, just as scheduled. I didn't need to do anything really, just send Twilight for some occasional strolls. After all, the "Call of the Cutie" episode was supposed to be when Applebloom was supposed to meet her new two best friends. But it seems like my existence struck again, and the episode was altered quite a bit. But it all ended well, so I'm not complaining. The next one would be the "Fall Weather Friends" episode, where Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash bond together as rivals and friends as one. Again, my assistance wasn't needed, in fact, I think it was for the greater good that I didn't show my face during those times. After all, Rainbow Dash is on my tail, and I don't want to get roasted alive. Of course, it's needless to say that I had been exercising, practicing, and more during between those episodes run times. My mastery increased over the necromancer's book, and my stamina is slowly but surely increasing too. And I have been planning out a new artifact for me, but it needs a bit more tweaks before I show it to Twilight. And I haven't been lazy either. I placed marks on all the main six with the tracking artifact, watching their every move. And there's another episode happening; therefore, I'm currently preparing and hustling. I'm pretty sure I can steamroll this season without a ton of variables ruining my plans. But you know what I worry about the most? The Canterlot Gala. Walking with Twilight to the Carousel boutique, I scrambled to put on my hood right. Not only are there so many things connected to the Gala, but the Gala itself is a hassle. Princess Celestia will be there, the main six will experience slight depression and stress while figuring out the Gala isn't all what it seems to be, and most importantly, Fluttershy terrorizing those poor animals. And I can't opt out of this, due to Twilight being the caring pony she is, and asking Princess Celestia to bring another ticket for me. And if I don't come, Princess Celestia might ask Twilight why she asked for an extra ticket in the first place, and it'll all spiral downwards. I couldn't stop her because I was out during those times exercising, so it really pains me. But it doesn't mean I'll suddenly go, 'ah heck this' and start ruining things. I haven't been so low key for nothing. Now you might be asking, 'what are you going to do now? It's not like you can suddenly disappear'. No, my friend, you're thinking way too inside the box. I'll instead be a side character, so inconspicuous that I'll put a rock to shame. And how you may ask too? By blending in the crowd! Most of the people will be snobbish uptight nobles, which I will camouflage into. But I need to fit into the role, so the first thing to do? Get the outfit! Therefore, why I came with Twilight. But this is quite reckless of me too, since there's many variables, like Rarity, Applejack, and many more knowing who I am. After all, Applejack was planning to meet with Twilight and I at the boutique, and there's Rainbow Dash crashing through the roof later. And in the first few weeks when I came here, Rarity literally tied me to a chair, so she's not out of the table at all. Plus, there's Sweetie Bell and her friends, Opal the cat, and lots more. But then my idiocy cleared from my brain, and I realized, why can't we just change the behavior of those ponies with the necromancer's book? Or simply erase their memories with it too, therefore avoiding the struggle? As the simple solutions popped into my mind, I facepalmed. Talk about thinking inside the box, I'm too stupid to do that. So, with that, Twilight met up with Applejack and we all went in the boutique. Applejack passed me a few suspicious glances here and there, but not bothering to mention who I am, so things are going well so far. After crossing a few hallways, we finally found the door to where Rarity sewed her dresses and entered. Silently heading towards the nearest corner to get out of sight, I sat down. I watched Rarity work on the hem of the dress while Twilight and Applejack sneaked up behind her curiously. So far, it seems like the episode hasn't been altered drastically, so I'll just wait until something feels weird, or I'm noticed. Say, what's the lesson for this episode anyways? All I remember is Rarity being burnt out by the requests the main six had... Wait, I'm an idiot! Not only will that probably happen, I'll also be adding to the fire with my order too! And if I go ahead, she might suffer even worse backlashes. But if I don't do it, I might get found out, and that won't be pretty either. So, what should I do? Just not order or simply ignore the consequences? I rubbed my head in frustration. Great, now when I have a grand master plan it already fails, what's next? A villain from Tartarus popping out from nowhere with a thirst for blood? With my luck streak, it’s possible.
