Snow was slowly dripping from the sky as the Ponyville was getting ready for all the traditional winter, the Pegasus were putting up the winter light up all over the town and they we’re getting help from the most fastest and a co-captain of the wonderbolts and that Pegasus came to a stop in front of town hall and said.
“Whew, that was a sweat and a half, can’t wait to head over to Twilight’s castle and have some of that warm delicious cider”
“Well now Rainbow we must finished the decorations before doing anything right”.
The second voice snap her out of her thought and turns around to see where it can from and it was non other than the fashion pony of the town Rarity who was right behind Rainbow dash was was still wearing her wonderbolts outfit, and Rarity was wearing her winter outfit, fluffy white hat and her coat was purple in the middle and white fluffs around the neck and her hooves. Rainbow then added.
“Yeah , yeah I hear yea and Hearth warming eve isn’t far away now so everything is almost done so I’m going to get change before heading to Twilight castle and getting gifts ready for everypony“
With that Rainbow left to her cloud house to get change and while she was doing that Rarity was now making her way to twilight castle although while she was walking she started to wonder what would the princess be doing on this fine holiday, are they going to the crystal empire to celebrate it with Princess Cadence and Captain Shining armour or are they just going to be in the castle as usual.
Meanwhile in Canterlot Castle
Princess Celestia was in her throne room dealing with the last of the noble paperwork and was hoping that it would be the last thing of the day cause she is looking forward to doing her family tradition with her little sister, when the paperwork was complete, she inhaled and breathed out to relax now cause she was done for the day and can’t wait to leave the castle and go to the place she is looking forward to.
After a while she left the throne room and was now on her way to her sister room and soon enough she was outside of her sister room was wondering something to herself ‘I hope Luna is ready cause I can’t wait to leave the castle, and travel to our home’. She raise her hoof and knocks on the door that has a sigh on it, it says ‘‘Luna room’ and has a a crescent moon at the bottom but there wasn’t a response and she try’s again but nothing.
Eventually she opens the door with a little sweat cause it seems that it was lock from the inside, but when she go in the room was dark and that she couldn’t find her sister when she enters she wasn’t sure where to start but then she hear a whimper she turn to where it came from and heard it again and it seems to be coming from the crescent moon shape bed. Celestia was now making her way to the bed shape and when was at the base, her horn was glowing yellow and lifted the covers off.
When the covers were off Celestia could see that Luna was cuddling her pillow and there were tears coming down her mussel, when she couldn’t feel her covers she then looks up and saw her big sister looking over her and says.
“I’m sorry sister, I was getting ready but then I became about being Nightmare Moon and how much our family’s is going to be disappointed in me in becoming her?.”
Celestia was surprised at that and she had thought about was she was saving this when she sees her family about it and she said with a warm motherly smile.
“Luna I know you think that they would hate you but you know I will defend you cause I’m you sister and sisters don’t leave each other, I was weak trying to save you from transforming but I wish I was a better sister than a ruler to you and I want to see a smile rather than you depressed about your history, and no matter what I’ll try changing their minds and I’ll always love you “.
Luna was looking at her sister with admiration eyes of hope of what she had just heard from her dear sister she then lung towards Celestia and wrap her in a tight hug and Celestia hug back, she was going to ask about the gifts but she said nothing cause she doesn’t want to ruin the moment she is having with her sister after what feels like 15 minutes they let go of each other and then they heard the Canterlot bells ringing, they both got a bit of a fright and then Luna started to realise that she hasn’t finished wrapping the gifts and so she rush to her desk where the gift were and starts to wrap them, Celestia saw this and walks towards her and asks.
“Do you want some help, and you can show mother and father that you picked the best gifts for them???” With a helping hoof out and with a gentle smile.
Luna wasn’t sure to ask for help cause she likes to do things on her own even as a child she even wanted to show no only her parents, ever sister but to all of pony kind that she can do anything if she wanted but when she was free from Nightmare Moon and was try to fit into the new world of Equestria and was trying to find something that she can show everypony what she can do but with such luck nothing was working in her favour so in the end she just went with being Princess of the night and the second princess of Equestria. So she turns around and smiles at Celestia and says.
“Yes please I would like to show mother and father that we are getting along well”
And so the two of them wrapped up all the gifts that they had, and now they we’re putting the gifts in bags and was now getting ready to leave so they made their way outside of the castle grounds and what shock them was a carriage that was sparkling white and in front of the carriage were two alicorns one has a blue coated with blonde mane and red eyes and was wearing a red sweater with bells on and a dragon shield for a cutie mark the other is a white coated wearing a green dress with a red hat on it, her eyes were aqua and tidal wave for a cute mark both of them were looking at the two girl (mostly at Luna) and then the male alicorn said something to brake the silence.
“Well are you two going to get your flanks in gear”
“Yes father we are on our way” both of them had said at the same time and they made their way into the carriage and sat down and then the other two came in and sat at the opposite of them. The two alicorn sisters weren’t sure what to say cause usually they were the ones that came to them not the other way but then they heard a woman voice meaning it was their mother’s they heard.
“So I heard you two have been busy especially when I heard that one of my daughters did something bad”
Both were tense up now at that question cause they were trying to no tell or even wait for the right moment about that so after a while the carriage came to a stop cause they have arrived at their destination all of got out and looks around it was a country village that has lots of site seeing especially ruins and hot springs so when they go in the house it was decorations everywhere from the floor to the ceiling when they got in the door was close a bit hard and so the conversation continued.
And so the girls explained about how it all turned out to be from innocent Luna to becoming Nightmare Moon and how she was free but their parents had their faces covered by there manes when the lifting there heads to show that they were crying and rush over and hugged Luna and they were apologising to her that they weren’t there when she needed them and they wanted nothing more than to see her happy, and Luna was also apologising as well for what she has done.
Celestia was looking at the scene and was smiling she thought that she was going to step in and fight in for Luna to be forgiven but it looks like it was going to happen because she was forgiven and she left to the kitchen to make some warm hot chocolate.
“Warm hot chocolate was always your favourite while you were growing up Tia”
Celestia turns around and saw her father with a smile and starts to walk towards her and says “it’s great to hear that your sister is settling in well, and you have made things better for everypony”
“Now now now, Iron armour this is a holiday and should be celebrating with our family than what’s going on with work with both of them”.
“Yes sunny shores and Luna you still remember what we usual do” Iron had said while looking at his wife and daughter smiled and nodded. And so everypony was in the living room having a warm drink and chatting about what’s been happening and looking forward to something new and so the clock above the mantle was ringing and so everypony went out side, it was pitch black after a moment and then they saw the northern light sky and the light up theirs horns and shot beams at the lights and it join in the lights in the shine more brighter than and it crosses all over the place and no matter how many times they have done this it never gets old and so they all smiles at each other it was the best gift they can give not just for themselves but for every being in equestria to look at and enjoy it.
