One starry night in the magical land of Equestria, right near the famous princess palace in downtown Canterlot, two new pegasus colts were added to the population. Their journeys began in Canterlot General Hospital, with their father, Comet Flash Wind and mother, Scarlet Shadow Wind.
The older of the two twins had a light blue mane and light blue tail, both straight and pointy at the ends, coupled with a bright violet coat. He was given the name Blue Storm Wind. Whereas his twin, born just two minutes later, was medium green on his body and dark pink on his wavy mane and tail. This little colt’s name was Puzzle Piece Wind.
Upon arriving home, the foals were placed together in their wooden brown crib, with their mother still smiling as hard as ever. This is the most beautiful day of my life, she thought. I wonder what these two will grow up to become.

One week later, after those seven rather monotonous days of nothing but bottle-feeding and other classic baby stuff, the now four-member family were paid their first visit during the twins’ lives. Here was the Sparkle family, whom the Winds had met during a festival in Canterlot bringing together a bunch of ponies who work with the princesses. The twins’ father being a Canterlot royal guard, he had those kinds of connections, and he and his wife were there when they met another pair of soon-to-be parents.
On this day, the Sparkles decided to just show up at their door in a surprise visit, along with their son, Shining Armor, who was also recently born, only about a month earlier than the Wind twins.
The three babies took kindly to each other right off the bat, with the twins giving Shining a pair of smiles right when they noticed him. Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle placed Shining inside their playpen, and yep, lots of happy babbling came along. The parents sat down together in the living room to talk about their current experiences with their new children, as well as their ideas for future possibilities. Who knows what could happen next?
