My Little Pokémon

The Zenith of all Dragons

Unova. Kyurem's Castle. Full Court. Afternoon.

Within Kyurem's Ice Castle, a raid against the Boundary Pokemon was occurring. Lance, Drake, Drayden and Spike all challenged Kyurem, starting off strong by bringing an unrelenting assault to the Boundary Pokemon. Alas, the World's Strongest Dragon wouldn't let himself be overwhelmed as he barely looked like he took any damage. Despite how disgustingly powerful Kyurem was and the fact that Drake's Kingdra was the first to go down, the four Dragon Specialists were not out yet, lasting a long time against the Ice-Dragon-Type.

"Haxorus looks pretty bad right now," Spike observed his Equestrian Haxorus who was battling since the beginning. He put up a good fight, but he looked like he could give out fairly soon. Haxorus breathed in and out as that previous assault took a lot out of him. "Return, for now, Haxorus! Transform back!"

"Hax? Haxorus." Haxorus was glad to hear that. He immediately reverted to his Equestrian Axew state. Relieved he could rest up, Axew took a seat behind everyone, waiting for his time to battle again.

"You should rest as well, Hydreigon." Drayden would also return his Hydreigon, quickly grabbing the next Poke Ball.

"Now, it's your turn! Salamence!" Spike's next Pokemon was his Salamence.

"Come, Salamence!" And so did Drayden. But he wasn't the only one who would send out a Salamence. Drake would choose his own Salamence which was his ace Pokemon.

"Salamence!" There were currently three different Salamences out on the battlefield, each with varying levels of skill. Elite 4, Gym Leader and Standard Trainer respectively. Lance was the only one with Gyarados and no one else.

"Three Salamences all at once? I don't know about this..." Iris was unsure about this decision, nervously holding Cetoddle. Three Salamences meant that each of them would be highly vulnerable to the ice.

"Is this a joke?" Even Kyurem found this t be ridiculous. These Salamences were just asking for heavy super-effective attacks, especially since the World's Strongest Dragon just so happened to be an Ice-Type. The greatest weakness of most Dragons out there.

"Our previous assault didn't work. Overwhelming him didn't pan out properly. So, let's go with our second assault. The skies will be our friend for this one." Drayden said.

"Indeed. "Drake nodded in response. "Prepare yourself, Kyurem."

"Begin! Gyarados! Stone Edge!" Lance roared.

"Go now, Salamence! Flamethrower!" Drake started by having his Salamence use Flamethrower.

"You as well, Salamence! Fire Blast!" So did Drayden who had his Salamence use Fire Blast.

"Use Dragon Pulse!" As for Spike, he would go for Dragon Pulse instead of a fiery option.

"Salamence!" All three Salamences took flight, breathing in with different energies building up in their mouth. All of them would fly in different directions, forcing Salamence to focus on one of them. He swiped away at the stones from Stone Edge with Dragon Claw, only to then be struck by a Fire Blast from the side. Kyurem growled, shifting his attention to Drayden's Salamence, who was ready to throw another Fire Blast.

But he couldn't ignore the other two Salamences. Dragon Pulse and Flamethrower hit their marks, distracting Kyurem once more. It was difficult to focus on multiple moments since none of them were getting close and could easily keep their distance while attacking.

He tried getting in close, approaching Spike's Salamence with his claws being pulled back, only for Gyarados' Stone Edge to smack him in the face, giving Spike's Salamence enough time to fly away, continuing the Dragon Pulse barrage. The more these attacks kept coming, the harder it was to focus on one Pokemon because each of these attacks packed a punch. Some more than others.

Not only that, but Kyurem still had the paralysis effect from Hydreigon's Tri Attack, making him slightly slower. He even had moments where he would stagger from the paralysis, unable to move for a while. His opponents certainly set him up for potential disaster.

"Nice! Kyurem can't do much about this!" Iris leaned in. "If they keep attacking from all sides without staying in one place, they could maybe pull this off."

"Don't get too ahead of yourself!" But Kyurem always had a response. In this case, it was his signature move that could also be used by his other half, Zekrom. Since he was the originator of the Twin Dragons, Kyurem used Fusion Bolt, summoning a gigantic thunderbolt that came in the shape of a sphere. He used this to protect himself from the other incoming attacks but it served another purpose. The lighting from the sphere crackled violently spreading everywhere as a means to fight back.

Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Flamethrower and Stone Edge were all intercepted by the violent whips of lightning that came from Fusion Bolt. This barrage of attacks could only be stopped by another barrage. Not only were these lightning bolts enough to protect him but they even managed to hit his opponents. Gyarados was shocked by this as well as Drayden's Salamence. Both cried out but one took the worst of this. The electricity knocked them out of the sky, causing the two Flying-Types to tumble.

But only one of them recovered properly. Gyarados, after lasting longer than the others, had finally fainted, falling unconscious from that highly super-effective attack. "Gyarados..."

"Return, Gyarados. For a job well done, get some rest." Lance returned his Gyarados at last. He looked up to see all the destructive lightning bolts flying around constantly. Kyurem had a response for even this kind of scenario. An offensive barrier of lightning that was too versatile to have any flaws.

And the scary part was that Kyurem had yet to use his White Form and the destructive flames that they bring. The lightning was already destructive enough after all.

"Go, Hydreigon!" Out came his own Hydreigon, ready to get into this sweet dragon action.

"Hydreigon!"

"Keep your distance and use Dark Pulse!"

"Drei!" Hydreigon would also stay back and attack from afar, unleashing three beams of darkness that would try and fight back against the Fusion Bolt.

Now, Kyurem was the one who was hard to reach thanks to this barrier. Their attacks were pointless if they couldn't get past it. Not only that, but the lightning bolts were frantically moving around, proving to be a bigger issue.

"We can't get anywhere else if that barrier of his stays up," Drayden growled. "Is there any way to get past it?"

"There is maybe one way. We can try and cut the barrier." Drake narrowed his eyes before then looking at Spike. He then nodded at the Baby Dragon, knowing what needed to be done. "Spike."

"Aye-aye I get what you mean, captain!" Spike understood what Drake meant by them. Both of them had the means to cut anything. And all it would take was a step further in evolution.

Mega Evolution.

Drake and Spike would reveal their Mega Rings as the time for Mega Evolution had come. In unison both of them touched the Keystones within their rings, beginning the evolution process. The stone responded to the hearts of Drake and Spike, unleashing that signature golden glow that flew out as if multiple clothes were being unleashed.

"Salamence! Mega Evolve!" The duo cried out as blue lights raced out of both Salamences'. The blue and golden lights connected, forming a DNA pattern before then enveloping the Pokemon. Out of this burst of energy came the evolved form of Salamence. Mega Salamence.

"Salamence!"

"Double Mega Salamence!" Iris' eyes lit up in amazement. This elevate the battle to a new level now that Mega Evolution was being brought into the fray. "I'm the luckiest Dragon Trainer right now!"

"Salamence! Cut through that barrier!" Drake bellowed. "Use Steel Wing!"

"Go for it, Salamence! Get in there with Zen Headbutt!"

"Sala!" Both Salamences would take off in unison. Spike's Salamence would create mental energy around his head via willpower alone while Drayden's Salamence gained hard-metal wings. In this state, both Salamences could cut through anything with just their wings alone.

And this was proven by how Steel Wing cleaved through the incoming bolts of lightning, splitting it apart. Spike's Salamence would even need to use an attack that involved his wings. He would just casually fly by, showing the strength of these wings. This showcase of strength was only elevated once they reached Kyurem so easily.

However, getting through the barrier wasn't as easy as it seemed. Despite breaking through the lighting bolts, when crashing into the barrier of Fusion Bolt, they couldn't effortlessly cut through it. The two Salamences put everything they had into their wing muscles, trying their best to slice Kyurem's barrier.

Kyurem was even forced to put more effort into his strength just to prevent them from cutting it. The tips of the wings would poke through the barrier, proving they had the potential to do so. Alas, only one of the lacked the breakthrough to do so. That would be Spike's Salamence who was viciously electrocuted and blown back by the expansion of Fusion Bolt's power. "Mence!"

"Oh, no! Salamence!"

But Drake's Salamence was already at the best potential it could reach. It went further and further, digging its wings even deeper than what Kyurem expected. Refusing to let Mega Salamence get the better of him, Kyurem transformed Fusion Bolt into Freeze Shock, using it as a barrier instead, causing it to explode in front of Salamence. The Dragon Pokemon was at the front of this chilling and electrifying explosion while Hydreigon and the others barely managed to fly away.

"S-Sala!" Drake's Salamence was blown away. On the bright side, the barrier was no more and they now knew of a way to cut through it as Drake's Salamence would quickly recover midair.

"Go for it, Salamence! This time, use Dragon Claw!"

"Hydreigon! Dragon Pulse!"

"Stone Edge, Salamence!"

"Mence!" Spike's Salamence would fly back in while accompanied by a Dragon Pulse from Hydreigon and a Stone Edge from Drayden's Salamence. Kyurem would casually look at these incoming attacks before then showing off more of his strength.

Not only did he tank the attacks by simply flexing his body, causing Stone Edge and Dragon Pulse to shatter upon contact, but just to be a showoff, he grabbed Salamence's claw, stopping his attacks. The impact of Dragon Claw meeting with Kyurem's claw was heavy, causing a shockwave to emerge while also blowing away the debris. It had some weight to it, alas, it wasn't enough.

"An impressive hit. You've certainly gotten stronger since last time. I can tell." Kyurem complimented Salamence who was stuck in place. "But...it's not enough!" Kyurem would then hit back with his own Dragon Claw, slashing Mega Salamence with such force that not only did it make the Dragon Pokemon cough by the sheer magnitude of it, but it even devolved Salamence.

"S-Sala...!" Salamence's eyes widened as he was sent back into his standard form, causing Spike to gasp. This didn't happen the last time they battled. Kyurem truly had gotten stronger as Salamence was then thrown away. This easily meant that Salamence had fainted as he dropped to the ground. Just like that, Spike's Salamence was taken out so quickly.

"No way...Salamence..." Spike was in disbelief to see Mega Salamence down so fast. But there was one more Mega Salamence left in the fray. Drake's Mega Salamence.

"Now! Hyper Beam!" Together, Salamence and Hydreigon would use a dual Hyper Beam, going for the biggest damage possible. Two gigantic beams came racing out of their mouths before coming into an even larger Hyper Beam. How would Kyurem respond to this?

Simple. By channelling all of his strength into one Dragon Claw. All he had to do was swing at the Hyper Beam once. At first, it looked like there would be a struggle between Dragon Claw and this unified Hyper Beam. Alas, that was not the outcome. Instead, Kyurem absolutely overpowered the combined Hyper Beam, splitting them back into two. The force of the Dragon Claw caused their own attacks to backfire on them.

The Hyper Beams bounced back, hitting their original users before then punishing them with a violent paroxysm of Infinity Energy. It was stupendous to watch how Kyurem could so easily turn the tides. He barely looked like he was trying in certain instances.

Hydreigon and Drake's Salamence fell. Only Lance's Hydreigon fainted. Drake's Salamence was still in this. The number of Pokemon they could call out was dropping. And Kyurem certainly wasn't slowing down.

"Kyurem still looks fine. And if this continues, they'll all be down before Kyurem can even look tired." Iris gawked before noticing a hole in the castle. The afternoon Sun was moving, showings signs of an eventual nightfall. Possibly, this battle could end before the moon even rises.

Lance and Spike returned their Pokemon after they were taken out. Not even a double Mega Evolution from Pokemon that were almost comparable to Legendary Pokemon was enough to take down the World's Strongest Pokemon. However, something was off. The sight of Drayden's Salamence.

The moment Kyurem took a single step, he felt something on his back. Masked within all the mist and destruction was Drayden's Salamence who snuck up on Kyurem without him noticing.

"What?!"

"You let your guard down, unfortunately," said Drayden. "Salamence!"

"Salamence!" Salamence had used an up close Dragon Pulse. The attack was so direct that it ended up knocking Kyurem forward. Kyurem, thrown off guard by this, nearly fell over. Drayden's Salamence was the only one to successfully pull this off, but alas, it still wasn't enough.

"Awesome!" Spike cheered. "That was a great hit!"

Alas, that didn't last long as Kyurem regained his balance, immediately initiating a counterattack with Dragon Tail. Dragon Tail smacked Salamence directly, making the Dragon Pokemon roll as if he was a ragdoll. Just like that, a singular Dragon Tail was all it took to knock out Drayden's Salamence.

Meanwhile, the mysterious pony who was standing far from the battle would then leave, galloping away. Iris couldn't help but eye this pony down, wondering where the foal could be headed to. What could be more exciting than this?

"Alright...It's been made very clear to us." Lance closed his eyes. "Out of all the Dragons I've battled, Kyurem truly is the strongest by a margin. It was worth coming here."

"Indeed. But I'm afraid we won't beat him." Drayden shook his head. "We should know when we're beaten."

"I didn't think he'd grow stronger. I thought he was already as strong as he needed to be." Spike replied. Now that he knew Kyurem could improve, it was hopeless. He could never catch up to Kyurem at this rate. The Boundary Pokemon would forever leave him in the dust. If Spike would grow, Kyurem would grow even faster.

"Don't you dare give up." Kyurem suddenly spoke to Spike, seeing how he was lowering his head. "You came all this way to prove yourself. Compared to how you were previously, your growth is nothing to scoff at. So what if I'm growing stronger? What's stopping you from trying to overcome that?"

"But you're so strong, Kyurem. My Mega Evolution didn't even last that long against you. Even after all my hard work, you're still so tough to get past even when I'm teaming up with someone else."

"And? The world is vast, boy. You have yet to fully comprehend the kind of Pokemon that exist out there. There are Pokemon with so many levels of strength that would crush you in an instant. You've already met some of them, haven't you? And you haven't given up when facing them, have you?"

"No. But I look up to you, Kyurem. You too, Lance. Drayden. Drake. Oh, and Iris too. When I learned about Dragon Masters, I wanted to be one myself so badly. So, if I'm falling behind when around you guys, it kinda stings."

"I understand what you mean," Lance replied. "You wouldn't want to look bad in front of your idols. I get that. But, don't let that drown out your skills. If you want to truly grow, look to those who are staggeringly strong and imagine yourself overcoming them."

"Imagine?"

"If you can imagine it, you can believe it to be possible. Even those who are at the top can be overthrown. It's all a matter of getting there." Drake encouraged.

"So stand up proud then." Drayden chimed in. "You've come this far and you've proven to us that you have the makings of a great trainer. Don't let a few missteps discourage you. You know you can't win but that didn't stop you from having a rematch just to prove yourself to Kyurem."

"Yes sir!" Spike got a confidence boost from his three idols. Technically four. Kyurem was one as well. "I can do this!"

"Good. But...I'll make sure this is the final assault you all get." This was where Kyurem would turn things up to the next level. His body would then flash with a crimson aura that unleashed a flare of flames. Everyone squinted as Kyurem was entering his other form that was reminiscent of Reshiram.

The flare of flames melted away parts of the ice within this castle. But eventually, Kyurem will just regrow it with his own ice. Out of this destructive orb of flames was White Kyurem. And judging by those words, he was aiming to end this battle as soon as possible.

"Then, we'll do the same!" Lance adjusted his cape as he was about to get as serious as Kyurem. So was everyone else. That would mean sending out their strongest Pokemon. Spike had a few that could classify as his strongest but one of these was down and out and the other was exhausted. There was one last contender for that role. "Dragonite!"

"Go, Druddigon!" Drayden would bring out his ace. Druddigon.

"Come out, Goodra!" And for Spike, Goodra was his choice. Drake's Mega Salamence was still active as this was his strongest Pokemon undoubtedly. It would all come down to this.

The pony from before returned, this time, something was being carried. It looked to be a box of pencils along with a book. The silhouette of these objects could be made out within the ice. Not only did the foal show up with some objects, but alongside this mysterious pony was a Pokemon. A Pokemon that greatly resembled a Vulpix.

"Here we go...Goodra! Use Surf!"

"Goo!" Goodra would go first, slamming the ground with a torrent of water. This water would then expand, turning into a tidal wave that was tall enough to reach Kyurem. Kyurem would causally use Dragon Claw to cut the tidal wave in half, but that was only a distraction.

"Dragon Claw!" At the same time, three Dragon Claws were spouted out from the mouths of Drake, Drayden and Lance. Their Pokemon instantly flew through the remains of the tidal wave, using it to mask themselves. Kyurem was then hit by all three claws after Goodra successfully distracted him. He staggered from the triple slash, only to regain his footing. Kyurem would retaliate with his own Dragon Claw, entering a close-quarters exchange with his fellow Dragon-Types. Sparks flew everywhere from their clash as the three of them started putting pressure on Kyurem. At least, they tried to.

Kyurem would then overpower Druddigon and Salamence, pushing them away before then engaging with Dragonite. Now it was Dragonite and Kyurem having an intense clash.

"Use Flash Cannon, Druddigon!"

"Dru!" Druddigon would bring some payback by using Flash Cannon while flying back. Kyurem's clash with Dragonite was interrupted by this super-effective impact, allowing Dragonite to get his licks in. When trying to slash back at Dragonite, the paralysis kicked in again, slowing him down.

"Now, use Twister!"

"Dragonite!" Dragonite would then switch to Twister, flapping his wings to bring out a vicious draconic tornado. This tornado had enough power to even lift Kyurem off the ground while damaging him.

"Salamence! Stone Edge!"

"Sala!" Following up with that super-effective blow, Salamence would use Stone Edge which would work well with the twister. The stones were pulled in by the aggressive tornado, rapidly beating Kyurem's body.

"Now, Goodra! Dragon Pulse!"

"Goodra!" To make it worse, Goodra would use Dragon Pulse. And by adding that extra attack, Kyurem would be bombarded and punished from all sides before then being consumed by the eventual outburst. The Boundary Pokemon would fly out of the smoke as if nothing happened. It didn't even make him take a breather or recover. He casually flew out of the explosion, going for his own Hyper Beam.

"Hyper Beam, Dragonite!"

"Dragonite!" It would be a Hyper Beam clash. These two powerful attacks would collide, initiating a beam struggle. The two beams would move back and forth, trying to 1UP each other. The outcome was a tie. But Kyurem would use this to his advantage. Once the smoke rose, he would use another signature move. Ice Burn. He didn't even need to recharge after using Hyper Beam. Kyurem could swap to the next attack is if it was nothing.

White Kyurem's body glowed orange as he created a circular reddish-purple aura around himself. The Boundary Pokemon then released multiple reddish-purple beams of energy at Dragonite as they flew through the smoke.

"Intercept with Steel Wing!"

"Sala!" Salamence flew in, knocking Dragonite out of the way to save him. But this would backfire on Salamence as he failed to cut through all of them. There were far too many of these beams for his wings to fight back against. Thus, Salamence's body froze over once the beams relentlessly pummeled him. The Dragon Pokemon found himself being forced back to the ground after saving Dragonite. "Salamence..."

That was another Pokemon down as Salamence devolved from his Mega Evolved state. But Kyurem wasn't slowing down. He would then use Kyurem's Fusion Flare, releasing another ranged attack in a matter of seconds. This time, the main target was Dragonite. Thanks to Salamence, Dragonite had enough time to recharge after using Hyper Beam.

"I don't think so! Hyper Beam!"

"Goodra! Dragon Pulse!"

"Druddigon, Flash Cannon!"

Goodra!" The remaining Dragons would try and push back this attack with Hyper Beam, Dragon and Flash Cannon. Another struggle was initiated. Three attacks against one. All three beams were struggling to hold back the large flare. The court was starting to heat up as Iris could no longer feel the chill within Full Court. All of these attacks being constantly smashed against each other changed the atmosphere greatly. The ceiling of the castle was starting to come down with shards of ice dropping along with the ground cracking apart. This battle was truly enough to level everything here.

Dragonite, Druddigon and Goodra did everything they could to try and stop this. Unfortunately, Kyurem would make it worse. He would then use Ice Burn, adding it to his Fusion Flare. The second attack combined with Fusion Flare, making it stronger than ever. That was the final nail in the coffin. All three attacks were taken out as each of the opposing Dragons were consumed by the light.

Spike and the Dragon Trainers closed their eyes as the status of the Ice Castle was still intact even after this fierce battle. The heat vanished once the attacks went through, bringing the chill back to the atmosphere.

Afterwards, everything could finally calm down. Iris opened her eyes, gently placing Cetoddle, who wasn't bothered by this at all. She saw what become of her fellow Dragon Trainers.

For starters, Dragonite, Druddigon and Goodra had been frozen thanks to Ice Burn's effect. Not only that, but even the Dragon Trainers received ice all over them. The opposing Pokemon had fainted while Kyurem was still sitting pretty, slowly descending. The Boundary Pokemon would then return to his standard form, taking a deep breath.

"That's that. Victory is mine."

"Oh my gosh! Are you guys okay?!" Iris gasped.

"We are...but we can barely move..." Drayden groaned as Kyurem rendered them immobile. They couldn't even reach their Poke Balls.

"Hold on...!" Lance growled. "This battle isn't over yet! Not when I have more Pokemon to battle with!"

"I declare this battle over. I've seen all I needed to see. And besides...you don't plan on battling like that, do you?"

"Fine..." Lance sighed. "I concede. Kyurem. He truly is the strongest Dragon. And here I thought Leon was the only one I had to try and overcome. Clearly not

"C-C-C-C-Cold!" At least, Spike could finally feel the harsh chill affect his cold-blooded body. It only took this one moment for that to happen. "So cold!"

"Apologies." Kyurem would free them at once with Flamethrower. This entire time, he had other moves that he had yet to use. Clearly, he was holding back the true extent of his power. Then again, without his true form, the true extent of his power had yet to be revealed.

Once freed, all three Dragons fainted. Lance kneeled, taking some time to breathe. It was clear that he was outmatched, even for a champion. Iris' eyes trembled, knowing that even if she joined in, the result most likely wouldn't change. Kyurem was just too strong.

But not impossible to surpass. This battle was proof that Kyurem could be put on the back foot and overwhelmed. But, the day to defeat Kyurem was not today.

"Yeah. You're too strong, Kyurem." Spike laughed. "But that's why I've gotta be better than you one day."

"That was a fine battle." Drake nodded in agreement. "Coming here was worth it all, I must say.

"Indeed," Drayden added. "We all have ways to go."

Suddenly, applause came through. The mysterious foal and the Vulpix applauded this battle. Who wouldn't? Everyone would soon hear the echoes of this applause before then facing the icy mist.

"Ah. So you were listening to this battle too, weren't you?" Kyurem spoke to the pony up there. "Did you draw all the best moments then?"

"Who's that?" Iris asked, wondering if Kyurem knew who that pony was. "Also...what's up with that tiny room? Are you using it or is it for Cetoddle here?"

"That room you saw is for her." Kyurem would then manipulate the mist, making it vanish. This would reveal the mysterious filly and the Vulpix next to her. It was an Alolan Vulpix upon seeing it and as for the pony herself, she blended in perfectly with the ice and snow "Snowdrop."

As the journey continues.

Chapter 861 End.
