Princess Celestia started to raise her sun and in turn, Luna lowered her Moon. Down below from the top of her tower, she could see the very capital city that she once directed to be built. Princess Celestia was proud of her city's design. It is one of the largest cities on planet Equus, though not as big as Manehattan, that's on a whole 'nother level. The ponies of the United Kingdom of Equestria were beginning to wake from their slumber and start their morning routine. Celestia smiled at the blazing sun that is hers, she takes pride in her duties. Raising and lowering the sun and watching her subjects live in peace and harmony is something she herself would want forever. The United Kingdom of Equestria has enjoyed a millennia of relative peace. This has given the ponies the opportunity to thrive and prosper. Every decade, new technologies are developed, new spells are created, and her subject's well-being goes for the better. Because of this, the United Kingdom of Equestria is categorized as the most advanced Techno-Magic civilization and is internationally regarded as a Superpower in Equus. Also, with the rise of the magic of friendship, Princess Celestia believed that all of this would continue for a very long time. As she was about to turn back inside to ready herself for day court, a blinding flash of light engulfed her view. She yelped in surprise as she lost her vision for a few seconds before it returned. After a few seconds of regaining herself, she heard the door open behind her. She turned around to look who entered and saw a royal guardspony with a worried face. "Your Highness, are you all right?" "Yes, I'm fine, what happened?" She inquired. "We don't know, Your Highness, a sudden flash of light blinded us momentarily. We thought it was an attack so we immediately rushed to your room as soon as possible." Princess Celestia thought for a bit, her ponies had it as well? "So you've had it too... Go back to your post, lieutenant, and stay alert, I'll talk to my sister regarding this strange event." She dismissed. With a flash, Celestia disappeared from the room, leaving the guardspony alone in her chambers. The guardspony simply looked around before shrugging and headed back to his post. Seconds later, Princess Celestia reappeared in one of the other towers in the castle, more specifically, her sister's tower. It wasn't a long way off so she didn't need the use a lot of energy. As she looked around her sister's chamber, she spotted her sister and moved towards her. "Sister, are you all right?" Celestia asked with concern. Luna turned towards Celestia and answered back. "Yes, we-... I am fine. Though, I am a bit curious, what just happened? I was about to head off to sleep when a sudden flash of light engulfed our vision and blinded us for a moment. Tis' an experience I don't want to go through again." Luna said. "You're not alone, Luna, me and some other ponies experienced it as well. I don't know what it is, but let's go to the dining room and have breakfast first. We'll start talking about it." Celestia said. "Oh... all right, sister." Luna said, though a bit tiredly as she hadn't slept yet. The two Alicorn princesses started walking together towards the dining room. As they arrived, they were greeted by their usual, Celestia with pancakes and Luna with a cup of coffee to keep her awake. As they enjoyed their breakfast and their time together, they would discuss what caused the flash of light at a later time. =/// Washington D.C.\\\= In the Oval Office, there is a man in his 40s, his name is Adam Wright. Adam Wright was elected to be president of the United States in November of 2024 and inaugurated on January 20, 2025. His campaign was basically an 'I will fix all the problems the previous administration created and bring American pride back because that is what the American nation deserves'. Many of the American population didn't believe in his goals, having been recovering from recent administrations, they believed that he would be amateurish. Though, to their surprise, unlike some other presidents in the past, he upheld his words. He started repairing the American economy, improving America's relations with other countries, improving America's well-being slightly, and trying to make agreements with America's enemies. (Think of him as an alternative version of Donald Trump) President Adam Wright was at his desk, looking at some documents he was given by his secretary. He was reading the files on the Iran Nuclear Deal and other stuff when suddenly, a flash of light engulfed his office room. He was caught off guard by the lack of vision and promptly fell out of his chair in surprise. The flash of light disappeared just as it came, and Adam Wright was now on the floor. Moments later, as Adam Wright was getting back on his feet, Secret Service agents started rushing into the room and began aggressively checking the room. Some of them even went as far as to throw out some of the pillows to check for something. " Mr. President, are you all right?" An agent said. President Adam Wright turned towards the agent and answered. "Yes, I'm fine. Did someone throw a flashbang in my office? I don't remember a door being opened..." "We don't know Mr. President, the flash of light also happened to us as well." "So what was it then? Did Ben pull another prank again?" Adam Wright said, looking back at a recent memory in which he was covered with glitter. "Uh... no, sir, Mr. Ben was not at the White House at the time. We've got word that everyone in the White House has gone through the same thing, and reports are still coming in which people have reported of 'sudden flash of light' before being able to see again. We advise you to follow us to a secure location as this is a possible attempted attack." "Alright, if this is a possible attack, we'd better get going." Adam Wright said. "You heard the president, let's get a move on. Stay alert and take the president to a secured location." The agent ordered. President Adam Wright began to be escorted to a secured room while everyone else in the White House tried to find out what happened. Was it their imagination? Was it something else? No one knew what it was, but little did they know, that in a few hours, the history of not only the United States would change, but the whole world forever. =/// Canterlot \\\= Luna was enjoying her meal in the dining room with Celestia. She sipped on her coffee to stay awake for the next few hours, having been interrupted by the flash of light, she had already drank 4 cups already. Princess Celestia on the other hoof was thinking about the flash of light. Was it something to be concerned about? She really didn't know, but that didn't stop her from speculating. "Sister, you mustn't worry about the flash of light. Granted, it was sudden, but it was short, surely nothing could've happened within that time frame." Luna assured her sister. Celestia looked at Luna worriedly. "That's the thing, Luna, it was short, but it happened to everypony." Celestia replied. Before Luna could respond, a guardspony walked in, a look of uncertainty on his face. Celestia turned towards the guardspony before speaking to him. "Ah, sergeant, you're here. Is there any information regarding the flash of light?" Celestia asked. "Forgive me, Your Highness, but I didn't find anything relevant other than the fact that everypony in the nation was affected, but you already knew that." The guardspony answered. "Hmm, strange... Could this be the works of Discord? Luna speculated. "I don't think so, Luna. Discord may be mischievous at times, but he's reformed. I highly doubt that he would cause something that could result in a nationwide panic." Celestia replied. "Then who do you think did it? Could it be that maybe Twilight or Starlight accidentally overloaded a spell?" Before Celestia could answer, one of the Royal guards entered the dining room. It was the lieutenant that Celestia saw earlier in the morning. "My apologies your for disturbing you, Your Highness, but I have been ordered to bring you urgent news" The lieutenant said. "News about what, lieutenant?" Celestia asked. "Communication Station Unity reported that all contact is lost with other countries and kingdoms, Your Highness. We've also got reports that other communication stations, ranging from the Manehattan Communication Station, all the way to the Neighgerian Communications Outpost, lost contact with nearby nations." The lieutenant reported. Celestia stared at the lieutenant for a moment. Are communications all lost? Impossible. The information she was getting sounded like something out of a horror story. "That should be impossible, lieutenant. Surely there is a fault with our communications, correct? Celestia said. The lieutenant shifted nervously at his spot. The sergeant and Princess Luna could only look on as the news was dropped. "Unfortunately, that is not the case, Your Highness. Technicians stationed there have double-checked, no... quadruple checked for any faults with the communications, but they have found nothing." The lieutenant replied. Princess Celestia could only stare with shock as the information was given to her. The United Kingdom of Equestria established a line of communication with other countries and kingdoms that had diplomatic relations with Equestria. With this, the United Kingdom of Equestria gets constant information and can easily communicate with other nations and kingdoms on matters such as politics and trade. Information is very important to Equestria. Several decades ago, Equus began to globalize. Losing any form of easy communication with other countries and kingdoms could result in something dire, something that Princess Celestia might have to deal with in the future. "Lieutenant, sergeant, get my council and tell them to come to the castle immediately to attend an emergency meeting." Celestia ordered. Both the guard ponies saluted before heading out of the dining room. As the door behind them closed, Luna looked towards her sister with a worried face. "I have a bad feeling about this..." Luna said. "As do I, Luna. This is something we haven't prepared for yet." "So how do we tackle this sudden problem, sister?" "I'm not sure yet, Luna, but hopefully with enough time, we'll be able to figure it out..." Nopony has had ever managed to find out what caused the incident to happen. Some say this was a warning from Fasut herself, or a curse that befell their nation. Nopony knows, but one thing's for sure, this will change the course of history for not just the entire continent of Equestria, but for all those who are involved.
