After listening to the message that their father had left for them, and retrieving their necklaces so they could be returned to their proper resting places, Ratchet and Rivet joined Autumn, Starswirl, and Clank as they rested from their ordeals, due to the fact that they had no idea what was coming up next, and, sure enough, Autumn had a new toy to show off, thanks to her talk with Ms. Zurkon.
"The RYNO 8, the most powerful weapon in our arsenal... well, mine anyway." Autumn said, where they stared at the three pronged weapon that looked like it was definitely based off the Dimensionator and her studies of dimensionality, so she understood how to make something that wouldn't tear the fabric of the universe apart, "I could only make one, given that the core is a shard of a Phase Quartz and there aren't that many left in our dimension, but don't worry, this won't rip the fabric of the dimensions apart, rather it will carefully open rifts, pulls in something from another one, and uses it as ammo for a blast that will rock our enemies... and the item will return to it's dimension as if nothing had happened to it."
"Geez sis, is there anything you can't turn into a weapon?" Rivet asked, because the weapon was impressive, in fact it looked more like something one would see in a holofilm or an Old Earth movie, but it told her that Autumn was capable of turning just about anything into a powerful weapon, which explained why Clank was worried when he told her about the other weapons in this particular series.
Autumn was unable to say anything as Quantum spoke up, saying that he had an idea on how they could take down the Emperor and his counterpart, though as he claimed that it was an undercover job, with someone going in as a robot to find him, the lights went dark and the screens switched to the Emperor's feed, which was dark right now.
"Do you know what that sound is? Listen 'closely'... is it fear? Hope? The slow inevitability of death? No, it's the sound of me. Winning!" the Emperor said, where the scene cut to him standing on what seemed to be the exterior of a warship, like the one above Savali that Rivet and Autumn infiltrated to retrieve the Dimensional Map, which was resting near Corson V, and the robot looked extremely pleased right now, while his counterpart held the Dimensionator, "You might be saying 'What else is new', and to that I say your quite right... however, 'you' are only a part of 'one' dimension, one universe to be more exact. 'What about the rest', you might be wondering... well, maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I think 'everyone' deserves a little subjugation."
The screen zoomed out to show that they were surrounded by an armada of ships, no doubt containing hundreds, if not thousands, of Troopers and hundreds of Juggernauts, an army beyond anything the siblings had seen so far, before the camera returned to the Emperor's side, who had some wine glasses in his hands.
"So to celebrate such a momentous occasion, I would like to honor the good Doctor who inspired this journey in the first place," the Emperor continued, where he handed one to his counterpart and they actually toasted each other, showing that Doctor Nefarious knew exactly what was coming and was keeping his excitement contained, before downing their drinks as he refocused on the topic at hand as the Dimensionator was handed to him with a bow, "by invading his home dimension 'personally'. Our first stop: Megalopolis... or, as I like to think of it, New Nefarious City!"
In that moment the two insane robots laughed as the Emperor wound up the Dimensionator before blasting the space in front of the planet, breaking open a massive dimensional rift, more like a dimensional portal, that lead right to Ratchet's dimension, which his fleet was heading through as the imagine finally cut out.
"When do we leave?" Rivet asked, because her brother had said that he would stand beside her and clear her home of the Emperor's taint, even if it would take them some time to do so, and now, with his own dimension falling under siege, she could repay his gesture by helping him save his home.
Ratchet, Autumn, and Starswirl found that everyone in the gastropub, no matter who they were, stepped forward as soon as the message was over, showing the siblings that this wasn't a war they had to fight alone, those they had helped were here to help them save the dimensions, causing them to smile.
"Right now." Ratchet stated, where he returned Clank to his backside as he, Rivet, Autumn, and Starswirl headed outside, making sure to collect their collective arsenals from the desk robot, while their new allies marched out behind them, the leaders of the various groups issuing orders to get ready to leave.
A few moments later the group, having restocked their weapons beforehand, left Zurkie's, as it looked like the Goons had found Ratchet's ship on Savali and returned it, allowing him and Starswirl to take one as Rivet and Autumn took another, with everyone else using their ships to follow after them. It took some time for them to return to Corson V, where it was far too easy for them to find that the massive dimensional rift was still open, as if the Emperor was taunting them in his own sick way, like he was welcoming them to challenge him so he could crush them. With that in mind the siblings quickly flew through the rift and Ratchet lead Rivet down to his version of the planet, finding that the warships were already in the middle of their attack, with parts of the city having collapsed already while parts of the Emperor's version of the planet were in the middle of merging with this reality. It was a shocking sight, though it confirmed that their foes were insane, as none of this was fine and if things progressed too much more all of creation was going to suffer, though as they and their allies moved out he opened a line of communication with the city's defenders.
Sure enough Angela and the others were holding back the army that was laying siege to the planet, and more heroes were on their way to the planet to aid them since this seemed to be the only target right now, so he quickly sent the others all the contact information he had on the other allied ships, that way the defenders didn't attack them.
"Hey, Angela, you might want to call my parents as well... Rivet's home!" Ratchet remarked, as that was the one light in this entire dark event that was going on, he had found and had been reunited with his long lost twin sister, which would make his parents overjoyed when they heard the news.
Angela was happy for him, she really was, but she had to ask him what he and his siblings were planning, which right now was tracking down both the Emperor and the Doctor so they could recover the reforged Dimensionator they had stolen, because as long as it was in their hands reality was in jeopardy. After that he and Starswirl climbed out of their ship as he landed it near the area that one of their scanners indicated that the Emperor was in, blasting open more rifts to allow more of his Troopers to enter this dimension, where they readied their weapons before charging into battle. This time they had allies backing them up, as Goons and Pirates joined the fray without wasting time, blasting the Troopers while the majority of their forces went elsewhere, as there were more battles happening and they needed to stem the tide of the Emperor's army, least he overwhelm everyone. Rivet, however, had her own idea to grab the Dimensionator and Autumn was helping her do it, so for now they had to focus on wiping out the Troopers and the annoying sniper cannons that were with them, while at the same time Pierre and Quantum were meeting up with Qwark to discuss what to do next.
Fortunately with the aid of the other heroes of their dimension, combined with their new allies from Rivet's, the brothers were able to overcome the Troopers and the Juggernaut they brought in to take them down, allowing them to march up to the area that several civilians had been trapped in, who rejoiced as they fled to safety, a fact that caused the insane robots to stop what they had been doing.
"You know, I just remembered what you told me earlier: that these two, along with their sister, were the best heroes of this dimension," the Emperor remarked, though while he clearly wasn't impressed by what they had to offer, since he had been able to overcome Starswirl and Autumn with the additions he made to his body, he was overjoyed that they were here to see his victory as he primed the Dimensionator, "You know, this calls for a SPECIAL sort of annihilation! I've been looking for an excuse to wear my new suit, and you've just given it to me!"
Sure enough he used the device and both he and the Doctor were sucked into the rift, which was seconds before Rivet flew overhead on one of the flying lizards, as she had intended on swooping in to grab the Dimensionator, but now they had no idea where their foe was located. Autumn flew nearby on a hoverboard, again of her own design, as they searched for their foe, while at the same time Ratchet and Starswirl regrouped with Qwark's group, who happened to be headed right for the middle of the massive city, which had been turned into a battlefield. As they did that, however, Rivet quickly spotted what looked like a massive dimensional anomaly, though that was before she discovered the truth, it was more like a massive rift that was about to open, which is what happened as a massive battle mech, easily a hundred stories tall, burst out of it and let out a mechanical roar. Such a thing seemed to effect the barrier between dimensions as Rivet was bucked off her mount and sent through one, which placed her on a restaurant terrace, due to the tables around her, before the robot turned to face her as Autumn tracked her down and landed beside her.
The Emperor displayed his newfound control over the Dimensionator by somehow integrating it's powers into the mech, as he was able to send the arms and even the head through rifts so they could fire down on where the sisters were standing, just to show them that he didn't need to be near them to fight them. At the same time they discovered that the pincer hands had screens on the palms, which happened to be what fired purple beams of destructive power, that did some damage to the mech whenever they were struck, same as the glass of the head's eyes, but it wasn't enough to actually do anything, no doubt because it was made of Raritanium. While that happened the Emperor taunted them, mostly Rivet actually, by saying things about how she was no longer in exile and that she was finally home in her true dimension, just in time to watch it be conquered as well, but they weren't the only ones attacking the mech, as Rivet found three older Lombaxes, two males and one female, hitting it with their own empowered weapons. Autumn, upon seeing them, informed her sister that two of them, the ones in the more civilian attire, despite it being armored, were Kaden and Millie, her parents, while the warrior Lombax was Alister Azimuth, a close friend of the family since he was her father's best friend.
Rivet smiled at that, as she knew from Clank's memories that they were alive and had been hoping to meet them, though for the time being they needed to topple the mech and save the multiverse before that happened, and even when they did a lot of damage the sisters could just hear the Emperor taunting them.
"Rivet, Autumn, come!" Pierre stated, as he rode in on one of the smaller Pirate vessels, just in time to see the damage done to the Emperor's foul machine, before he beckoned for the sisters to join him and his crew on their ship, while another was flying nearby, causing them to make up their minds, "There is a battle to be won!"
As they started to move she found that Ratchet and Starswirl had stacked the other small ship, which Quantum was piloting right now, with enough explosives to tear apart any other ship in existence, meaning it was a bomb they were going to push straight into the mech's metallic face. Quantum had some words for the Emperor, saying that his 'campaign of destruction, cruelty, and wanton snobbery was over', even though it seemed like he had gotten a few lessons from Qwark and Ratchet just before they blasted off, no doubt so he could say something epic before this happened. With everything aligned Rivet understood why there were two ships, the two Captains jumped over to where she and Autumn were standing as Ratchet and Starswirl remained behind to direct it right into the mech's face. In fact Pierre had them move to the left and the mech head followed them, only to turn back as the Emperor realized he had been tricked, which was when the brothers jumped off the ship and fell into another rift, allowing them to avoid being caught in the explosion that rocked the mech, though it only did enough to damage the gem in the middle of it's forehead.
Fortunately they landed on an area that held a number of Pirates that were fighting more Troopers, though they found that he repeated the exact same attacks on them, using rifts to attack them from afar with the head and the pincer hands, so the brothers only had to repeat what their sisters had done previously.
When they did enough damage, this time looking like the shoulders of the mech were breaking, they were pulled through two more rifts, one dragging them to the upper reaches of where the massive machine was walking while the second just pulled them to safety, some rock platforms that formed a path that lead towards the mech. Such a thing allowed them to see that they had done more than they thought, the mech's eyes were broken as well, though as they ran across several of the platforms Rivet called, informing them that Gary had an idea to help them out. He and his Monks were going to open a rift that would allow them to enter the very core of the mech, the heart chamber, which should allow them to take it down, so the brothers dodged the incoming attacks and made their way to where the Monks were gathered, on some floating bits of rock at the end of their path. Sure enough another rift opened and they had to use Autumn's Hurlshot to get inside, in fact Gary even provided a target for them to use since they didn't exist in Ratchet's dimension, but the plan worked like a charm, they were able to get inside the heart chamber in no time.
At the same time Gary told Starswirl to go crazy, because with the threat of reality collapsing there was no reason for any of them to hold back, he even called Autumn to tell her the same thing, where lightning danced around his arms without delay as Ratchet took care of the guardians inside the chamber. He tore through the beating heart of the mech, using his power to shatter and break anything that looked important, where blue lightning danced around each side of the area as his brother made sure he was out of the way, since power like this could be dangerous to allies. The shell shattered not a few moments later, revealing the more important core that powered everything, where he switched to hurling powerful fireballs at it, dealing damage to everything around them as even the Troopers fled before they were caught up in what was coming their way. By the time the Emperor and his ally noticed was what going on it was far too late for them to take action, where Starswirl's fine attack caused a surge of destruction as several major systems were damaged, and Ratchet quickly called for Gary to help them, where a rift to the outside opened and they rushed through it before they were caught by the explosion.
As that happened Rivet, who ended up in a circular area that could serve as a arena, watched as the mech's chest blew up and it toppled before her eyes, collapsing with it's head resting a fair distance in front of her while an arm landed nearby, but after that she found that the Doctor climbed out and handed the Dimensionator to his foul master, who turned and glared down at her.
"You think YOU can defeat ME?!" Emperor Nefarious shouted, his tone revealing that he was annoyed, in fact he had to be outraged by the fact that he was failing to take over a single planet in Ratchet's dimension, while Rivet stared up at him as her sister got ready to deal with her version of the insane robot, "I will bring in ALL of my armies, All of my followers... you WILL bow before ME!"
In the next moment the unthinkable happened, the Emperor turned the Dimensionator on the skies above them and just let loose with it, blasting dozens upon dozens of rifts into the space above Megalopolis, something that caused the sisters to pause for a moment as they took it in.
"He's going to destroy the dimensions..." Rivet commented, though as she said that it literally rained Troopers on the area they were in, all of them laughing with their sick sinister laughter as their master called upon them to lay waste to those who opposed him.
Even with Autumn and Starswirl being allowed to use their magic again Rivet suspected that this army would be the end of them all, but even then she held her hammer at the ready, showing their enemies that she wasn't going to bow before the Emperor or his madness, and when one moved forward a bunch of energy bursts rained down on them, causing them to look up and find Kit, in her warbot form, as she crushed a Juggernaut with a first to the face.
"You were right, I can not run away anymore." Kit stated, showing Rivet that she had thought about what they had talked about on Viceron and came to a conclusion, in fact it had come at the best time possible since it meant their army had one more fighter to throw at the insane Emperor.
Rivet wanted to say something, in fact she was going to, though before she could actually open her mouth the air shook and she watched as a silver crack appeared beyond where the new rifts had been opened, causing her to realize what was going on, as it confirmed what her father said. There was a barrier beyond the barrier between dimensions, the Liminal Barrier as her father called it, and the Emperor's recent actions had just cracked it, meaning if they failed to retrieve the Dimensionator there was a chance that he'd destroy all of reality. As that happened more rifts burst open in another part of the city and they found that more versions of Nefarious, all evil by the looks of them, were marching out with their dark armies, where Rivet started to realize that things were quickly getting worse, the barrier was getting thinner as time went by and rifts were opening at an alarming rate. It was hard to tell whether or not all of the different versions of Nefarious were allied with the Emperor or if they were against him, though right now it seemed like they shared one goal, destroying the city and it's defenders, and one even had a mech that wiped out an entire chunk of the city, creating a flat ground for people to fight in.
As they took in just how many foes were standing before them, even surprising the Emperor to some degree, more rifts opened on the other side of the battlefield and near where she and Ratchet were standing, where she found a new army walking out, one that consisted of dragons, humanoid dragons, alien creatures she had never seen before, and several people like Starswirl and Autumn stood among them.
"Someone is threatening reality... how nostalgic." a voice said, where Rivet found a heavily armed person that looked a lot like Starswirl, only she had a long horn and a pair of majestic feathered wings that looked like they belonged to someone who was allied with death, especially since her armor, helm, and greatsword seemed to radiate death energy.
Rivet barely had time to figure out what was going on as the figure spread her wings and took off, flying down to the army that was gathering to face the Nefarious Coalition, where she noticed a few oddballs that stood out among the good guys, or at least she hoped they were on their side. Three of them were anthropomorphic dragons, two with purple scales and different colored chests while the other was a blue dragon, who seemed to be the leaders of the entire force, one looking like they were a mage, another a warrior, and the last one a aviator, before they were joined by a female black dragon, making it two males and two females, and two warriors as well. They were joined by an array of races, from fauns to what looked like anthropomorphic cheetahs with bows, along with anthro birds and slugs, even a rabbit girl who seemed to be a mage, as she wore an open robe and carried a trident into battle. In addition to all of them, including others that simply surprised her, Rivet found a female figure who seemed to be half faun and half dragon, wearing some great metallic gear to protect herself in battle, as she fought like a warrior based on what she was seeing.
After that she noticed another figure that looked demonic, a female goddess of demons she guessed, while another one, who looked like her hair and tail were identical to flames, stood beside her with six different colored wings, though both seemed to be the leaders of their own forces. Their army consisted of blue skinned creatures with hooves for feet, wolf people that seemed ferocious in battle, what seemed to be elves of all varieties, humans, dwarves, shorter people that had to be gnomes, and all sorts of other races that would make someone's head hurt. In addition to all of that she found large dragons, who walked on four legs and had large wings, and anthropomorphic dragons fighting beside the figures and their forces, blasting foes with potent energy blasts and bursts of fire, while even healing their wounded allies so that none of them fell in battle. That group, in her mind, seemed to be the most used to war, especially when she found large bulky figures, orcs she guessed, who were working alongside the humans, like a red and blue faction working together, all while their foes fell before their might.
Rivet also discovered another pair, one looking like a bipedal pegasus while the other looked like a bipedal unicorn, who had six small furred creatures near them, which seemed to be a cross between a weasel and an otter, only each had their own color, like a rainbow of sorts. Near them fought people with red, blue, and yellow armor on, in addition to people who looked like they lived in the wilderness of a desert, all who seemed to be very skilled in the art of battle, along with a fair number of odd creatures who had glowing gems in their foreheads. Their leader seemed to be a young man with pointed ears and hair that almost looked like flames, at least design wise, while he carried a gunstaff, as in a weapon that doubled as a gun and a staff, and wore some pretty decent armor and seemed to control the same powers as the six odd critters off to the side, with one riding on his shoulder. Not only that, but he carried a sword into battle as well, so in case some of his enemies got close to him he could deal with them accordingly, all while the critters held no weapons as they beat down their opponents, showing that they weren't to be underestimated.
In addition to that she found all sorts of other figures joining the battle, like a large robotic owl, a deadly one at that, who had an anthropomorphic pegasus flying near it, who had pink hair and seemed to be dressed like a thief, though a male racoon, with the same body as her, who carried a cane was using a jetpack to fly with them. After that were two more of Autumn and Starswirl's kind, who didn't have wings or horns, that wore some interesting black clothing and fought near a group of four high school students, one who had a blue energy bow, another who had some sort of odd fist weapons, a girl with energy shields, and a orange haired boy with a large sword on his shoulder. She also discovered a being who had no shirt on, showing off his abs for some reason, who wore black pants and whose hair and tail were pure flames, even if it didn't hurt those around him, with a pair of curved horns on his head, like he was a demon of some kind. That one had a pair of golden gauntlets on his hands, which looked like they would be painful to be hit with, though the left one had six indents that were filled by six different colored stones, which radiated power, and those who stood before him fell before his terribly might.
In addition to all of them she spotted a figure who seemed to be half human and half elf, carrying a sword that seemed unlike anything she had seen so far, a being who fought in another part of the city and ignored everyone else, though she had a feeling there was something off about him.
With all of this going on Rivet turned her attention to her own Nefarious, blasting him with her weapons while Kit took to the air, though she and the newcomers weren't alone as more Lombaxes joined the battle, no doubt their machines had sensed the disturbance and they were returning to set things right. Her foe, however, zipped around where his mech had crashed and did his best to actually avoid fighting her, even though he did use the Dimensionator to pull rocks out of one of the other dimensions and hurled it towards wherever she was standing, causing her to avoid them. She also dodged his energy punches, as there were instances where he actually did attack her on his own, though this confirmed that he was a coward and she even told him that everyone could finally see his true persona, a coward who refused to accept the reality of the situation, especially with the multiverse's safety on the line. What worked to their advantage was that he was angry with how everything seemed to be failing, almost as if Ratchet's dimension was where villains lost no matter what, though she didn't believe in that sort of thing as she blasted him repeatedly, doing everything in her power to bring him down, all while making sure not to damage the Dimensionator.
The Emperor, however, was still quick to anger and that meant if things went south for him, past a certain point, he was bound to do something stupid, hence why she was looking for a way to get the device from her foe before it happened, and she was able to knock him backwards, causing several of his counterparts to jump in and place themselves between them.
"While I have enjoyed this game, Rivet, my true prize awaits: the seat of power that will make me a god, to rule over all of creation!" Emperor Nefarious stated, where he tapped a few buttons and Rivet could see that he was started to overclock the Dimensionator, though at the same time the other versions of him paused for a moment as he said that, causing him to sigh for a few seconds, "One must stand above the others, though you who have come to secure my victory shall be rewarded with your own empires... my Lordlings, who only answer to my decrees... an All-Father surrounded by the other major gods that serve them."
"Please, don't listen to him! If he breaks the barrier between the multiverses, everyone will be doomed!" Rivet said, as this was the last thing they needed right now, the other versions of Nefarious to be bought by promises of power, since each of them seemed to have the same goals as her foe did.
They had no time to react as the Emperor, at the height of his annoyance with this dimension, did the dumbest thing he could have done, he spun around and loosed a powerful blast of dimensional energy at the silver crack, where Rivet and all of the Lombaxes called for everyone to brace as they anticipated what would happen next. For a moment nothing bad happened, it was as if the crack had simply absorbed all of the energy fired at it, but as the blast ended more cracks, all of which smaller than the main one, started to branch out from the massive crack before surging outwards, like a window being shattered by a rock. The following explosion caused her and everyone else to watch as space itself was torn asunder before their eyes, fragments falling like fractured pieces of a window, while a void rested beyond those pieces, meaning they were at reality's end, and everyone was forced to their knees with the pressure that was unleashed. The strangest part about it was that there was something on the other side of the open silver rift, what appeared to be a house shaped in the Kanji for 'All', which happened to be floating above the flat head of a massive blue jellyfish, though the area around it was flat and held nineteen floating stones, each with a blue orb above their heads.
As they stared at it, however, a burst of silver energy landed nearby, where her and her siblings found another pony figure standing nearby, who wore baggy pants, a sash and a collar, the latter having the All symbol while resting over an orange shirt, while she had an amber coat, cyan colored eyes, and whose hair and tail were red and yellow colored. Standing near her was a sky blue skinned male, who was shorter than her, wore some sort of dark blue cloth attire and had a light blue halo floating behind his head, and his white slicked back hair, and his attire was complete with a red sash and white boots, though his hands were behind his back. Rivet had no idea who the figures were, though the female did nothing and they felt that the pressure stopped, in fact she was sure that the Dimensional Cataclysm had stopped in it's tracks, allowing all of them to stand, though the Emperor, as she expected, was displeased with her presence. The lady barely turned, in fact she stood still, as something struck him in the chest and crashed him into the side of the mech's head, though she did lift her hand and showed them that, somehow, she had taken the Dimensionator from him.
"Of course, I should have known... the Dimensionator. Grand Priest, make a note for me to take the one in my multiverse when we get back." the lady said, where it was hard to tell if she was disappointed or annoyed, though she did seem sad that someone was threatening reality by doing something stupid like this, like she was some sort of creator god that was displeased by how people were treating their dimensions, much less their entire multiverse.
"As you wish, Lady Sunset." the male, the 'Grand Priest', replied, though at the same time he noticed that several of the insane robots seemed ready to do battle with them, a mistake in Rivet's mind since she could tell that the magic users she knew couldn't sense either of their powers, based on their expressions.
Sure enough several of them attacked Sunset, who simply handed the Dimensionator over to her servant before turning her head, where the blasts and rockets veered off course on their own and blasted the attackers, where Rivet realized that the figure must be moving at incredible speeds, to the point where she couldn't see her move. As that happened, and the other versions of the insane robot were knocked backwards, Sunset shifted her left hand and those who were hit by their own attacks were sent flying through the fragmented rifts they had emerged from, while their armies followed, much to the surprise of everyone watching this scene. She was capable of seeing which reality they came from and sent them back with ease, without wasting time or even moving her body to indicate that something was happening, which made Rivet wonder what else she was capable of, while at the same time her servant just stood there, letting her work with a smile on his face. There was some history between them, that much she could tell, though the attacking robots suffered losses as each and every version of Nefarious was sent packing in no time at all, until only two remained, Doctor Nefarious and the Emperor who nearly destroyed reality.
Doctor Nefarious, as they discovered, was captured by Ratchet and their allies, while Sunset captured the Emperor within a spherical prison that he couldn't escape from, though that was before she whispered something to herself and a purple aura surrounded the Emperor, who broke apart like he was disintegrating, until nothing of him was left.
"The threat has been neutralized." Sunset said, though at the same time she lifted her left hand and white energy started to gather above it, in the form of an orb, showing them that there was something else she had to do before they left and returned to their own multiverse, "Now then, a multiverse like this must be corrected!"
For a moment Rivet worried that she was going to destroy this multiverse for endangering all of creation, and even if that was the case there was nothing they could do to stop her, before she released a wave of white energy that washed over everything and everyone watched as they remained untouched, rather the energy touched the fragments and reversed all the damage that had been done to the multiverse, all in the span of a few seconds.
"With that much damage a universe had to be sacrificed to save this multiverse... fortunately, many of it's planets could be moved to a new home." Rivet said nothing as the Dimensionator was handed to her and the pair surged into the air, disappearing as quickly as she and her servant had appeared, before finding that the rifts, true to what the lady had said, were closed, reality was fixed in the blink of an eye, leaving her and the others to clean up the mess before worrying about what the immediate future held for them.
