Shadow and Omega already destroyed all the robots shooting at them, as they both cleaned the dust from their bodies.

For the past 6 months, Team Dark - that is Shadow, Rouge and Omega - and Amy were collecting info around Mobius on Eggman's old basements about dimensional travel. If the info they needed wasn't on one basement, it surely was on the next one.

They assaulted pretty much every single one of his basements, and right now? Shadow and Omega were at the last of them. Having destroyed the security, they only had to sneak inside, collect the info for Rouge and then go back with her and Amy to finally get that portal working.

It was that easy... but Dr. Eggman has a backup plan for everything, even protecting his data and his basements.

"I think that's the last one" Shadow said, looking at the army of robots all defeated in the ground.

"Scanning area for any possible treats" Omega said, as he looked around and used his integrated scanner, moving his head on 360º since he's a robot.

"This basement is pretty empty, even for the doctor standards" Shadow pointed out with a frown. "Something's not right..." he pointed out with concern.

As Omega kept scanning the place, his sight stopped in a hidden platform. He turned his whole body in the same direction of his gaze and slowly walked towards said platform. This didn't passed unnoticed by Shadow, who decided to follow him quietly. Omega stopped and scanned the platform again.

"Scanning completed. Metallic life form detected. Warning: offensive maneuvers might be required" Omega informed.

"Offensive maneuvers?" Shadow asked concerned. "Perhaps we're not free from the doctor's creations yet..." he muttered with a frown.

And just like he expected, the platform started to open slowly, while a new machine came out of it. This one was very big; it's body was round, as well as its shoulders, and its legs were grey while the rest of the robot was red, although it had some yellow as well. The head was a replica of the Death Egg Robot one, just smaller and fully grey with a red right eye.

"Eggrobo" Shadow muttered in anger. "I read about this thing before. Guess we'll have to take it down before get the data for Rouge" he stated.

"Enemy detected" Omega informed. "Awaiting orders to proceed" he added.

"Offensive maneuvers allowed, Omega" Shadow instructed. "Let's take this thing down" he stated, now smirking with confidence as he roller skated towards the Eggrobo.

"Orders received. Initiating offensive maneuvers" Omega replied, as he boosted flying towards the Eggrobo as well.

As soon as they were face to face, Shadow teleported behind his back and kicked him several times. Then, Omega lunged forward and used his metallic claws to pierce through the robot. The robot took a while to react, but when it finally did, its arms spread apart and tried to crush Shadow and Omega alike. While Shadow managed to dodge the attack, Omega did take a hit, but managed to recover quickly and started shooting at the Eggrobo with everything he had.

The Eggrobo's hands moved around them and began to release green lasers. The two managed to dodge the attacks quickly, and Shadow took the opportunity to charge a homing attack against the machine and shoot towards the area where Eggman would be located, except for the fact that the Eggrobo is in automatic mode. After launching his attack, Omega took advantage and began shooting at the same site of the machine, which was already beginning to fail.

Taking advantage of this situation, Shadow began to charge up energy, while Omega continued to fire at the Eggrobo at full power. Finally, Shadow pointed one of his hands at the machine and let out all the charged energy. The energy went through the Eggrobo's chest, which began to slowly fade until it fell defeated to the ground.

"Enemy destroyed. No rival lifeforms detected. Conclusion: victory is ours" Omega informed.

"No" Shadow said with a frown. "The doctor may be a fool sometimes, But he wouldn't be this foolish" he stated with concern. "Something's not right..." he said, and then his eyes widened in realization.

Shadow quickly turned his gaze to a giant metallic door, the one that lead straight to the lab, were the main computer was with all the data Rouge needed.

"Omega, smash that door! NOW!" Shadow instructed to the robot, as they both ran towards it, while Omega launched himself to the door, taking it down immediately.

Shadow jumped over the broken door and Omega, and roller skated at top speed towards the lab.

Once he arrived said lab, he saw that the computer had a charge bar in blue, with a text saying 'Deleting data process: 96% complete' as it delated all the files on the computer. Shadow teleported in front of the computer and quickly pressed the space bar, which was casually selecting the cancel button. The screen now showed a text saying 'Deleting data process cancelled', just when the bar reached 99%. Shadow sighed in relief, as Omega entered the lab loudly because of his stomps.

"It seems that the Eggrobo was just a decoy" Shadow said with a frown. "A distraction to delate all of his data before anyone could get it. If it wasn't because of you taking down that door, we could have lost the info we need" he said.

Omega just stared blankly at Shadow, but the hedgehog knew that he could be smirking with pride.

Shadow sighed heavily, knowing what Omega wanted. "... Good job, Omega" he said with a bored expression, returning his gaze to the computer as he started to type on it.

Without knowing it, Omega just stroke a victory pose behind him, glad that he could make the quiet guy to compliment him.

Shadow typed on the computer fast enough, and then a new text box appeared on the computer screen. This one said 'Sending data. Addressee: Agent Rouge the Bat', and Shadow nodded with a determinate look.

"This is Shadow the Hedgehog to Agent Rouge from G.U.N." Shadow called on his communicator. "Rouge, we're on the last basement of Dr. Eggman. I already hacked the data, and it should reach your mail in a few minutes" he reported.

"At last!" Rouge said on a teasing tone from the other side. "I was starting to think you couldn't made it" she confessed, still with her teasing tone.

"I won't deny we had difficulties" Shadow confessed. "Eggman tried to delate the data, but... I admit that, without Omega, I wouldn't had be able to save the data and send it to you" he added with a little smirk.

"Now look at that!" Rouge said with a small chuckle. "Who could ever think that Shadow the Hedgehog could know how to work in a team?" she said teasingly.

"I may rather work alone sometimes, but even a loner like me knows how to work as a team" Shadow replied. "Besides, Omega needed some action after you and Amy left him behind on Stardust Speedway last week" he pointed out on a mocking tone.

"Ugh! I'm never hearing the end of this, am I?!" Rouge groaned. "It was an accident!" she pointed out with annoyance.

"Uh-huh" Shadow replied with an eye roll and a smirk. "Anyways, moving back to the important matter. I sent the last data the doctor had on his cloud" he stated, getting a serious posture again. "Would it be enough to make a new portal work out?" he asked.

"After 6 months of research, we finally have everything" Rouge replied. "I'll call Amy so we can meet at the place were everything began in 2 hours" she stated.

"Omega and I are heading there right now. We'll stay in contact in case anything else shows up" Shadow replied with confidence.

"Don't be late~" Rouge said with a teasing tone.

"Same to you" Shadow replied with a smirk. He finished his call with Rouge and turned to see Omega. "We're heading to Angel Island" he instructed to him. "Let's get out of here and reach the place before either Rouge or Amy use our heads as a trophy or something. I hate to admit it, but they give me chills whenever they get mad" he confessed.

And just like that, the Ultimate Life form and the robot boosted towards Angel Island to meet with Rouge and Amy and finally get a portal to reach Team Sonic and Eggman.





Angel Island was almost the same.

Despite Knuckles absence, the island was still floating since no one went to claim the Master Emerald. However, the gem itself was loosing its special connection with the echidna, and the more time he went absent, the more distant the Master Emerald grew from Knuckles.

The Egg Fleet stood on the exact same place this whole time. Knuckles didn't knew how to pilot the thing away from the Island, and back then, Tails was mad at him, so he refused to help. It was a big advantage for Amy and Team Dark, tho, because the remains of Eggman's original portal were still there, and that's what they were going to use to create one themselves to reach Team Sonic and the doctor himself.

After two weeks of work, they managed to finally complete the portal, all thanks Rouge guidance on both how to build it up properly and how to made it work.

"Are you sure it's going to work?" Amy asked, both worried and afraid.

"It should" Rouge stated. "It should at least open a portal long enough for us to cross it" she pointed out.

"The chances for a successful opening process is of 73.4%" Omega informed. "That is, if the portal doesn't blows up" he added.

"Geez, thanks for the vote of confidence" Rouge told the robot with a bored expression and an annoyed tone.

"Statistics aside..." Shadow decided to spoke. "The portal is ready. At least the machine, we still need to be sure that it works" he stated.

"The more time we stay here, the more time we waste on not looking for them!" Amy cried out with both anger and worry.

"Amy, I get you're worried about Sonic, but this things need time" Rouge pointed out. "We cannot just cross the first portal that comes out and hope to appear on this 'Equestria' Dr. Eggman was trying to reach" she explained.

"There's also a small chance to cross to the other side on vegetative state" Omega added. "We must proceed carefully" he pointed out.

"It's not Sonic that I'm worried about" Amy said, for both Shadow's and Rouge's surprise. "I know he can take care of himself. It's Tails and Knuckles that I'm worried about. They were not in the best of terms before disappearing..." she explained with concern. "I hope they're okay, that's it..." she added.

"You say it yourself, Amy" Shadow said with his arms crossed. "Sonic has tricked death too many times to count. And Tails and Knuckles probably solved things out already, wether they are with Sonic or not" he stated with confidence. "But I agree that we should not waste more time. Not only we loose time not looking for them, but also we gave Eggman more time to do... whatever he's been up to on that parallel world" he pointed out.

"Still, we should test this thing out before making––" Rouge tried to say.

However, Omega moved himself to the control panel of the machine and pulled a lever. After hearing Shadow saying that they should not waste anymore time, he decided to open the portal once and for all. The other three looked at Omega with widened eyes, while the robot just turned at them and raised his thumbs up at them.

"... rash decisions..." Rouge finished with a bored expression.

"I guess the testing time train already got lost" Shadow said with a frown.

"We need to stable the portal before it blows! Shadow..." Rouge called out with worry.

"Chaos Control!" Shadow shouted, pointing his palm at the portal and using his Chaos Energy to stable it.

"Portal 85.4% stable" Omega informed.

However, Shadow started to struggle as he kept his hand pointing, and his feet suddenly started to move on their own. That last thing happened... because the portal was taking him. Omega quickly acted and grabbed his hand, but the robot wasn't heavy enough to keep holding him, so both Rouge and Amy joined, with Amy using her Piko Piko Hammer as a stand to keep themselves on the ground.

But that didn't lasted so long, because the portal started to swallow them with more strength, and the next thing they knew? They were all passing through a white portal.





On the snowy parts of Equestria, during a blizzard, a white portal appeared suddenly.

From this portal, Team Dark and Amy Rose appeared and landed on the snow. Shadow was the first one to quickly stand up and look around. But he saw nothing but a snowy storm around.

"W-Where are we?!" Amy asked, as she started shivering from the cold.

"No idea" Shadow replied casually. He was also shivering, but he wanted to stay calm to 'not loose his cool'.

"O-Omega... S-Scan the area a-and report" Rouge said, also shivering from the cold.

Omega stood up and scanned the place. "Current location: unknown" he informed.

"G-Great... Now what?" Amy said with frustration.

"... I think we're in the right place" Shadow said suddenly with his arms crossed and his eyes closed.

"H-How can you tell?!" Rouge asked in concern and anger.

"Because I haven't feel the energy of the Chaos Emeralds ever since they disappeared with Sonic" Shadow explained, opening his eyes again and looking at Rouge. "But right now... I can feel it again" he added.

"... T-Then... t-that means..." Amy tried to say in excitement.

"We did it" Shadow said in her place. "We arrived to Equestria" he stated.
