Knuckles and Nyx were flying to the coldest region of Equestria to see if Applejack and Rarity were there.
"Are you sure this is where Applejack and Rarity are Knuckles?" Asked Nyx.
"Well this is where that pony said they would be so we have no choice but to trust him." Said Knuckles.
"I hope that they are here it's freezing here." Said Nyx
Just then they came upon a big rock that had Applejack and Rarity's cutie make on it.
"Look Knuckles that rock has Applejack and Rarity's cutie marks on it, that must be where Applejack and Rarity are being held." Said Nyx.
"Yeah, you could be right Nyx. Come on let's go and check it out." Said Knuckles.
But before they could get close to the rock a magic blast stopped them in there tracks.
"Whoa, what in the world was that?" Asked Knuckles.
I think I know Knuckles."
But before Knuckles could say anything the ground split apart and a creature rose from it.
"What the, who are you?" Knuckles , asked.
The creature laughed and said.
"I am Terik and I'm here to make sure that you don't get your friends back."
"Oh yeah? Well we'll see about that." Said Knuckles, as he started to attack Terik.
(Trust theme of skill from the Ronin Warriors starts to play)
"Alright Terik, let's see if you can handle this." Said Knuckles, as he attempted to punch him.
But then Terik blocked it with his hand with no problem.
"Huh, what the?" Said Knuckles , as he did fury punches to try and hit Terik, but Terik just blocked every single one of Knuckles punches.
"No way, no one has ever stopped my fury punches before." Said Knuckles, in shock.
" Well to bad for you, you little red rodent, now take this."
Just as Terik said that his horns glowed and then he fired an energy blast right at Knuckles.
"KNUCKLES, WATCH OUT!!!!" Shouted Nyx.
Knuckles was able to move out of the way just in time before the attack could hit him.
"Knuckles, are you alright?" Asked Nyx.
"Yeah, I'm fine but man he is more powerful then I thought." Said Knuckles.
"You have got to save Applejack and Rarity, maybe they can help us out here with Tirek." Said Nyx.
"Good idea Nyx, alright let's do it." Said Knuckles, as he put on his metal gloves and was heading towards the rock.
"My metal knuckles will crack this rock like an egg. Come on Applejack and Rarity, I need you guy's help out here." He said as his metal knuckles made contact with the rock but nothing happened.
"What the, it didn't work?" Said Knuckles, shocked.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, too bad so sad my friend but I will still give you an A for Effort. And now watch this as I kill your friends in that rock." Said Tirek, as he created a sword out of magic and plunged it into the rock.
"What, no please don't." Cried Nyx, but it was to late as the sword started to go into the rock.
"Aw would look at that, my magical sword is looking for their hearts and when it does goodbye elements of generosity and honesty HAHAHAHAHAHAHA."
"You won't get away with this Tirek." Said Knuckles , as he changed right at Tirek, but then Tirek blasted Knuckles with his magic and it knocked him and Nyx off the mountain.
(Music ends)
"Now that it's over all I have to do now is wait until the elements of generosity and honesty are dead and I can leave this place and go after the rest of the elements of harmony." Said Tirek, as he vanished.
Meanwhile at the bottom of the cliff Knuckles and Nyx were unconscious on the ground, just then the pony from before appeared and spoke.
"Knuckles the Echidna, there is a power deep within you it's called the hand of fate. But to acquire this power you must first achieve the concentration of both mind and spirit. You must believe that the power is inside you now, you must conquer the demons within before battling the ones outside."
After that the pony vanished and then Knuckles and Nyx started to wake up.
"Oh man was that real or did I just imagine it? No it wasn't I can feel the power within me." Said Knuckles, to himself.
Just then Nyx woke up.
"Hey Knuckles, was I dreaming or was that voice that I heard real." Nyx, asked.
"No Nyx, you weren't I heard it too and it said that I have a power called the hand of fate and that it could help Applejack and Rarity." Said Knuckles.
"Do you believe what the voice said Knux." Asked Nyx.
"Yes I do Nyx, and I know it's the only way to help our friends." Said Knuckles.
Then Knuckles saw Nyx climbing up the mountain and then she turned to him and said.
"Knuckles, do what you have to do. But do it now, the only way your going to get a shot is if I lead Tirek away from that rock. Knuckles, we have to do it this way."
"Your nuts Nyx, there is no way I'm going to let you do this."
But Nyx Just shook her head at Knuckles and said to him.
"You know I'm not Knuckles, I have to do it, and don't forget that I can still transform myself into a grown up version of myself. And anyway this is the only way we can save Applejack and Rarity, so please Knuckles let me do this for my aunties please."
Knuckles looked at Nyx and then agreed.
"Thanks Knuckles, you won't regret this." Said Nyx, as she walked away to find Tirek.
"I just hope I'm not making a mistake here Twilight wouldn't forgive me if something were to happen to Nyx." Said Knuckles to himself.
As Knuckles began to meditate to awake his new power Nyx began to look for Tirek, and it wasn't long until she find him guarding the rock that Applejack and Rarity were in.
"Hey Tirek, over here." Said Nyx.
Tirek heard Nyx and turned around.
"Ah the daughter of Twilight Sparkle, how fun will it be to kill the daughter of a princess."
"If you think you are going to kill me you've got another thing coming Tirek." Said Nyx, as she transformed into her grown-up self and charged at Tirek.
(The game by Disturbed starts to play)
As Nyx charged at Tirek, she fired a magic blast right at him but he was quickly able to block her attack.
"Ha, nice try girl but your gonna have to do better then that." Said Tirek, as he changed right at Nyx.
Nyx tried to put up a shielding spell to protect herself but Tirek managed to shatter it to a million pieces. Meanwhile Knuckles, was meditating to try to awaken his hidden power.
"I must draw all of my energy together."
Back with Tirek and Nyx, Tirek was hurting Nyx pretty badly With every attack he had until he grabbed Nyx by her throat and started to choke her.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, I have to give you credit girl you are strong but not strong enough to stop me now to lure Knuckles from hidding so I can kill you both." Said Tirek as he continued to strangle Nyx, who was grasping for air.
As Nyx, was struggling to free herself from Tirek, Knuckles meanwhile was having a vision of her in struggle.
"What the? Is this real? Oh on Nyx is in trouble."
"I know your out there somewhere Knuckles, show yourself or the girl dies."
"Please don't answer Knuckles, Applejack and Rarity, you must save Applejack and Rarity." Cried Nyx.
After hearing Nyx, Knuckles knew he had no choice so he continued to meditate to unlock his new power. As Knuckles continued to meditate Tired looked at the rock where he plunge the sword in to kill Applejack and Rarity and said.
"Um, those poines in the rock should be dead by now. Knuckles hear me now only the girl is left to save."
"No they are not Knuckles, I know they are still alive you can still save them just forget about me and think about Applejack, Rarity, and the rest of the elements of harmony." Said Nyx, as she was gasping for air.
As Knuckles, heard Nyx say that he felt his new power awake inside of him.
"I, I can feel my new power it's now in me. Alright just hold on just a little longer Nyx, cause here I come."
(Song ends and Wildfire swords - sou en zan [Stardust eyes] from the Ronin warriors starts to play)
After Knuckles said that he jumped up out of the water where he was hidding and used his power to free Nyx from Tirek's magic. And when he did he felt different and stronger then ever before.
"Wow, this power. I've never felt this kind of power in me before." Said Knuckles.
Then Knuckles put Nyx, who was unconscious down and turned to face Tirek, who was smiling evilly at him.
"Now that you are here you fool I'm going to tear your flesh from your bones." Said Tirek, as he charged at Knuckles and fired a beam of magic at him. But Knuckles, was able t block it and then he jumped up into the air and shouted.
"HAND....OF....FATE...."
As Knuckles said those words his hand started to glow red and then he started towards the rock where Applejack and Rarity were in and then he gave the rock a hard punch.
"Hanusty and generosity now."
When Knuckles said that the energy from his fist went inside the rock and when it did Tirek's magical sword vanished and Applejack and Rarity started to wake up.
Meanwhile Knuckles then moved back from the rock and waited to see if his power was able to wake up Applejack and Rarity. But when nothing happened Tirek just laughed at Knuckles and said to him.
"Ha, your resurrection failed you fool. Applejack and Rarity don't want to come back to life. But you all will meet again in the land of the dead."
But before Tirek could attack Knuckles the ground started to shake.
"What the? It can't be."
Just then the rock started to split open.
"But, but how?"
Then Tirek jumped up into the air and then Applejack and Rarity came out of the rock.
"No this can't be, you two suppose to be dead." Said Tirek, as he charged at the two.
But Applejack and Rarity used their elements and then they fired their elements' power and when they did Tirek got hit by the elements' power and then he vanished while screaming. As the smoke cleared Applejack and Rarity turned around to see Knuckles who was happy to see them.
"Applejack, Rarity, oh thank goodness you two are safe."
"Yeah, thanks to you Knux." Said Applejack.
"Yeah, that's fine for you Applejack but Knuckles, what did you have to wake me up? I mean I was having this great dream." Said Rarity.
Knuckles chuckled at Rarity and said to her.
"Yeah, and you need your beauty sleep."
At this Applejack laughed while Rarity just chuckled just then they saw Nyx starting to wake up.
"Oh man what happened?" Nyx, said while she was getting up.
Then she saw Applejack and Rarity standing next to Knuckles and they were all smiling.
"Applejack, Rarity, oh thank goodness you two are safe." Said Nyx, as she came up to them to hug them.
"Yeah, thanks to Knux we are just fine Nyx." Said Applejack.
"Oh it was nothing Applejack." Said Knuckles.
"Well what do you say we go home everypony." Said Rarity.
They all nodded in agreement and with her magic Rarity transported them back to Canterlot Castle. Meanwhile at the castle everyone and everypony were waiting for the rest of the rescue team with rest of the elements of harmony. Then suddenly a flash of light filed the room and when it comes they saw Knuckles and Nyx with Applejack and Rarity.
"Knuckles, Nyx, your back and you rescued Applejack and Rarity." Said Celestia.
"Yes we did your majesty and that's not all I've got a new power." Said Knuckles.
"Really that's great Knuckle head." Said Sonic, as he hit Knuckles on the back.
"Watch it Sonic or I'll use my new power on you next." Said Knuckles.
"Know we just have to wait for Sunset and Tails hopefully they will find Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy." Said Luna.
"Don't worry sister they will find them." Said Celestia.
Back at Nightmare Amy's castle Nightmare Amy was watching the Sonic heroes in her looking glass and shouted.
"So you fools think you are so smart huh? Well no matter your other friends won't get past my next guard who is guarding your last two friends." Said Nightmare Amy, as she turned to a dark figure in the dark corner of the palace.
"Are you ready Discord?" She asked.
Discord smile evilly and started out of the palace.
