//------------------------------// // Chapter 17 // Story: Lighting Heaven Reincarnated // by A random pony oc //------------------------------// If I had to be honest, I think I got PTSD from Rae. From going to mysterious pony, to my 'originator', which I think is a total lie, she's made an impression of an uncanny person I should avoid at all costs. I don't even know her at all, you can't blame me. Though with how she's acting right now, I think I must reconsider her position in my heart. She was currently sitting casually reading 'The Tale of the Cursed Necromancer'. The parasprites I had with me were flocking towards her, despite her imposing aura. And most importantly, she looks like me without being goofy. With her also being a bookworm just like me, the indistinguishable resemblance is there, barely. "So, uh, you must be wondering why I'm here, right?" Rea suddenly asked. I suddenly had shivers as soon she started to speak. Gosh darn it, if I knew you were here, I would've gone somewhere else, like Manehatten or something. "I'm here to talk to you about a few things, like two or three. I been brief since our last meeting because I was in a rush, so you must be very confused." Rae added. "I'll be also answering any questions, so feel free to ask." I mustered up my courage, and said, "Then I have a question for you." "What is it?" "Who are you exactly?" I said in a hesitant tone. "Ah, I should've expected that." she said. She put the necromancer book down, then pointed at it. "You see the pony right there? The one with a blindfold?" "Yea?" "That's me." she said with a smile. "Huh?" I'm confused. I read the book in my free time, and it mentioned the necromancer being blind due to being cursed. She can clearly see, I bet. Though, I can see the semblance... "Actually, your wrong, I can't see." she spoke up. Ah, she can read my thoughts. Cliché. "Then how do you know I'm the one you’re looking for? I could be the two sisters, aka, the princesses for all you know." I spoke. If she was really me, she would have more caution, right? "Who's the princesses again?" she said, avoiding my question. Acting clueless, huh? "You're telling me that you don't know them." I said in a deadpan tone. "Princess Celestia and Luna? The sisters, and alicorns?" "Ah, I think I saw them when R. was attacking me." she said. "They're nice. Though we didn't meet on the best of terms." Okay, I think she's just either bluffing or she's bragging. Besides, who even is R.? "Quite rude to doubt me." Rae said while leaning back on the chair. She started to read the necromancer book again while swatting away the parasprites that came close to her. "Besides, I can't say who they are. They might come again." "Eh...?" I said in a confused manner. Who were they that made Rae pause? "Just know that they're stronger than me." she said nonchalantly. "And I still haven't got to my point, did I?" I sank into my chair as I waited for their explanation. "So, I have been observing you for a while-" "Stalker." I immediately said. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps. "Ahem." she gave me a side stare as she continued. "Hate to break it to you like this, but, uh, I realized that you're, well..." she said hesitantly. "You're weak." she finally admitted. Getting my hopes up for something good, god damnit. "No kidding, sherlock." I said, holding back my urge to cuss. "But there's a solution! A pretty good one too." she said. "I can train you to stand up to the princesses!" She started to walk around the room, seemingly going nowhere. "Oh, so now you're all knowing." I said. "You don't even seem that strong. I can't believe everything you say-" I said before one of the parasprites came at me at the speed of light. After it collided against me, it dropped to the floor, dead. "Ow." I said, slightly unsettled. "I just flicked that with only about 0.001 of power, believe me now?" she said as she sat on the bed. "But either way, I'm staying here to help." The first thing that comes into mind is, ‘how do you even flick with your hooves’, but there’s something else that comes to my attention as quick as that. "Wait, wait, wait, back up a bit." I spoke. "Who said that you're staying?" "Of course, I'm staying, how else am I suppose to be your sensei?" she said while levitating the book back to her. "I'm not even sure I have enough room for you, and what about the others, like Twilight and Spike? Wait no, especially Twilight and Spike?" "You'll see when it happens." she said as she got comfy. Is this how I act too? "So, uh... what's the last thing you're going to tell me?" I asked what I leaned to get a better view of her. Why am so short... "Oh, it’s-" she uttered a few words but suddenly paused and thought. "Actually, it's better if you don't know for now." she said. I rolled my eyes as she continued. "So, what are you going to do now?" "Hm... actually, I don't know. I guess I will study more but, I don't really have any long-term goals." "Guess that means we start day one of our training." she said as she closed the book. She levitated me in the air as she hopped from the bed and started to walk to the door. "Wait, wait, wait! I'm not ready though!" I said as I tried to pull out of her grasp. "You'll never be ready when someone attacks you directly or indirectly, so this is the perfect time to familiarize yourself with the cruel, sad, world." she responded as she opened the door and walked downstairs. "But it's a hecking TV show for kids!" I retorted as I noticed that Twilight and Spike ignored us, like we were air. "Doesn't stop people who are older than the intended audience from loving it, does it? Besides, you already know that this 'timeline' of MLP isn't exactly the same." Getting defeated by Rae, we headed outside towards the Everfree forest.
