Chapter 1, Scare-School is in Session

Lemony Snicket was walking with Sunset through the dark hallways of the empty school.

“So, you’re human huh,” Sunset said. “This school’s never had a human come here before, maybe your like Twilight in some ways.”

“Twilight, what do you mean,” Lemon asked.

“Oh, Twilight Frankenstein,” Sunset said. “She’s in a family of mad scientists.”

“Oh, really,” Lemon said with curiosity. “Are there other monsters that will be here?”

“Yes,” Sunset replied. “The first day is about to begin and the School Ghost should awaken at any minute now.”

Sunset then looked back at Lemon, and her eyes started glowing red as if she could see inside of him.

“But enough about that,” Sunset said. Let’s have a look at that juicy…Blood.”

“Wait, what,” Lemon shrieked as Sunset looked like she was prepared to strike, but she stopped herself before she could cause any damage.

“No, keep it together Sunset, you have blood pouches,” Sunset murmured to herself. “You don’t want to have a repeat of what happened at the Fright Festival.”

“Ok, I’m going to be polite by not asking what happened,” Lemon said.

“I’m sorry, I have a problem showing a distinction between blood from my pouches and the blood of a living being,” Sunset said with a shy look.

Suddenly, Lemon felt a cold chill run through his body, and he then saw a white vapor flying to the left of him.

“Ah, that must be the School Ghost,” Sunset said as the vapor then took on a form that looked like a traditional ghost.

“SCHOOL IS NOW IN SESSION,” The School Ghost shrieked as it flew through the many hallways.

“Welp now, the other students should be here any minute now,” Sunset said.

Suddenly, Lemon could hear a car move as if it was parking from outside the school.
This car was known as the Frakenwagon, where Doctor Twilight Frankenstein's parents were parking to drop her off.

“Alright Twilight, be sure to have a good semester and try not to experiment on anyone,” Twilight’s father said.

“Ok, Dad, I’ll try not to,” Twilight said as she got her backpack and various scientific instruments out from the car’s trunk and then walked towards the school entrance. 

“C’mon Spike,” Twilight said as a little dog with stitches all over its body followed her.

The doors then opened by themselves as Twilight then entered the school grounds.

“Hello Twilight,” Sunset said. “How was your summer vacation.”

“Eh, could’ve been better,” Twilight said as she put her backpack in her locker. “It would’ve been great if my neighbor didn’t fly off the handle at me for putting her dog's brain into an ape body.”

“You really need to stop experimenting on the neighbors' animals,” Sunset said. “You’ll attract the attention of Monster Hunters, or worse, Van Hellsing.”

“I know, but I’m running short on test subjects,” Twilight said.

“Oh, Twi, this is Lemon Snicket,” Sunset said.

“Nice to meet you,” Twilight said. “Wait, are you human, just like me, this is so exciting.

Then Lemon saw a severed arm crawling into the school and into a closet. Then a girl with Rainbow hair ran into the entrance.

“Did anyone see an arm crawl in here,” Rainbow-Dash asked frantically? Lemon pointed to the closet as Rainbow raced into the cramped space. 

Rainbow came out of the closet as she was putting the arm back in her socket. 


“I’m sorry, this thing sometimes has a mind of its own,” Rainbow said.

“Is Rainbow a Zombie,” Lemon asked? “Like a real Zombie?”

“Yes,” Sunset and Twilight said.

Suddenly, Twilight saw a dead rat on the floor.

“PERFECT,” Twilight shouted as she picked up the rat and ran into one of the rooms.

Then the other students started to show up.

First, Three Witches with flying broomsticks appeared. Their names were Adagio, Aria, and Sonata.

Then came a Mummy named Rarity Belle, she had a lot of Egyptian-looking attire and even though she was supposed to be an animated corpse, she looked beautiful.

“Hello Darling,” Rarity said. “Don’t you look absolutely precious?”

Then two other girls appeared, one looked like a Clown you would see in a circus, and the other looked like the fish man monster you would normally see in a movie like Tales for the Black Lagoon.

“Well, ain’t this a fun little surprise,” Pinkie said as she eyed Lemony Snicket. 

“I hope we can be good friends human,” Fluttershy said to Lemony Snicket as she and Pinkie walked past him

Soon more students would be entering the school hallways, and each one was more different than the last. One named Flash Sentry looked like some kind of mix between a human and an alligator. Another was named Wallflower Blush, which looked like a walking tree as Lemon saw that there were branches all over her face.

Then even more students started entering the school grounds and once all the students were inside the school building, the doors closed on their own.

“THE DOORS ARE NOW CLOSED,” The School Ghost screeched. “ANYONE WHO HAS ARRIVED AFTER CLOSING WILL BE CLASSIFIED AS TARDY AND WILL BE SENT TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE FOR AN IMMEDIATE LECTURE FOR THEIR TARDINESS!”

Zephyr Breeze, Snips, Snails, and Trixie had just arrived just as the School Ghost said that.

“Well shit,” Trixie said as she and the other Tardy students were escorted to the principal’s office by two possessed Suits of Armor.

Then the School Ghost flew to the west hallway where it vanished from sight.

“Well, what are we supposed to do today,” Lemony asked Sunset.

“Well, orientation starts tomorrow so for today, we just have to find our dorm rooms and get situated on campus grounds.

Suddenly Lemony Snicket heard a high-pitched snarl from one of the hallways and saw that the once-dead rat was brought back to life and was wreaking havoc on a box full of cheese.

“IT’S ALIVE, ALLLIIIIVVVEEE, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA,” Twilight cheered as she let out maniacal laughter. “They all laughed at me, They all said I could never bring an animal back to life, they all called me crazy, well WHOSE LAUGHING NOW!”

“Well, this is going to be one ghoulish semester,” Sunset said as she helped Lemony Snicket find a vacant dorm room.

And so, the 1st  Spooky semester at Hallows Eve High School Begins now, and what will happen in the future will on get even more creepy.
