//------------------------------// // Episode 16: Demons Rise Again // Story: Ultraman Scorn Season 1 // by SuperSamYoshi //------------------------------// "Auntie?" "S? you should be asleep." "I couldn't get to sleep." "Can't stop thinking what happened?" "No." "Oh Sweetheart. Come here for a hug." In a Canterlot City building construction site, a capsule made from a mysterious metal was discovered. Along with the authorities on Space and Time archaeology, Professor Daiyamondo and his partner Professor Paru, CASS headed to the site. Daiyamondo and Peru were given the nicknames of Dialga and Palkia respectfully, after the mythical creature that were said to be the guardians of Time and Space. A truss crane was just lifting the capsule out of the ground as CASS showed up. Adagio had with her a Radiation detector with her to check if the capsule was radioactive. “No need to worry Commander,” she told Celestia, “There’s no radiation.” “Alright,” Celestia replied, “Aria, Sonata, help get the chains off.” “Yes ma’am,” the responded as the got to work cutting the chains off from when it was lifted out the ground. Once the chains were off, Applejack, and Rainbow lifted the heavy capsule closer to the Professors. “This was broken a long time ago,” Dialga said. “Professors, could have this come from space?” Commander Celestia asked. “Yes, well…” Dialga replied, “you know how we place various materials in capsules that we then bury and leave for future generations?” “You mean like a Time Capsule?” Celestia questioned. “Yes,” replied Dialga, “This may have been buried for the same purpose.” “Huh,” Rainbow remarked, “Then things from humanity thousands of years ago might be in it.” “The fossils stuck to this capsule are from much older than that,” Palkia stated as she gently pull one of the fossils off and look it over then giving it to her partner. “Yes, from about 300,005,000 years ago,” observed Dialga. “Well, let’s see what’ll come out,” Rainbow said eagerly. Rarity had look in through the broke hole, but she couldn’t see anything, “It looks empty,” she mentioned. “Open it up,” Celestia ordered. “Yes ma’am,” her team replied, Applejack, Aria and Rainbow set to work trying to open the capsule while Adagio, Sonata and Rarity watched with Celestia and help keep a distance for the capsule and the construction workers. They carefully opened the capsule and revealed a strange object holding some sort of blue liquid. “Oh? What is that?” Sonata asked, as Applejack pulled a bit of the mysterious metal out and handed to Palkia. “We’ll investigate at our lab,” Dialga said. “Please do,” Celestia replied. “Dear, could you analyse this blue liquid at our mineral testing lab?” Dialga asked mentioning to the object with the liquid inside, “you might find something there.” “I understand,” Palkia replied. Flash and Derpy came around with a pick-up truck, and Adagio, Rarity, Rainbow and Applejack lifted the capsule into the back of the truck. “Can we begin work?” asked the foreman. “Yes, go ahead,” Celestia told them, “sorry to interrupt.” As the Girl lifted the capsule onto the truck, something came to Sonata’s mind. “I wonder what else was inside,” she remarked, “maybe more will come up.” “No way,” Aria spoke up, “the earth’s crust has changed many times over the past 300,000,000 years. The capsule didn’t break that recently. It’ll be in the ocean over the bottom of the earth by now. Let’s go.” And she grabbed Sonata’s arm and pulled her to the car. But little did anyone knew, something did fall out of the hole in the capsule, as simple object to the one still in the capsule, but had red liquid in rather than blue. Without anyone knowing it was there, the construction workers went back to work. The truss crane scooped it up, along with the earth around it and dumped it into a truck. The truck then took off once it’s load was full and drove out of the construction site just as CASS were leaving the site as well in the opposite direction to the truck. The truck transported the dirt to the dump were the dirt from the excavation was taken, it dumped the earth, causing the object to roll out of the dirt and land just behind the pile of earth, on some grass. Back at base, the team were discussing the prehistoric time capsule, “Who buried this and for what purpose 300,005,000 years ago?” Applejack thought out load. “300,005,000 years ago was when dinosaurs ruled the earth,” Sunrise said, “Mankind was just like apes. You think such humans would use something fancy like a time capsule-” “Hold on, hold on, Sunrise,” Flash spoke up cutting him off, “Dinosaurs are from 100,005,000 years ago. Humans didn’t exist yet. 300,005,000 years ago was-” “300,005,000 years ago was before the Ice Age,” Fluttershy said, reading from a book, just as Commander Celestia and Luna came into the room, “Basically, the age said to have a humanity with an even more advanced civilization. The mysterious age.” “That seems pretty interesting,” Luna spoke up, making Flash and Fluttershy jump, “But for the CASS, rather than the kind of ape it was.” “The capsule contents are what’s important,” Celestia said. “Commanders,” called out Aria, “if they were more advanced than modern civilization, the blue liquid in that capsule could be more explosive that a hydrogen bomb.” “Hmm,” Celestia and Luna thought. “No, that’s being overly anxious,” Rainbow remarked, “Time capsules give future generations the legacy of a wonderful civilization-” “There’s no proof that that was a time capsule,” Applejack said butting into her sentence. “No, no,” Rainbow snapped back, “Professor Dialga said…” Suddenly the phone started to ring, Luna picked it up and answered it. “Yes, this is the CASS headquarters, Vice-Commander Luna speaking,” she responded, “Oh Professor Dialga. Huh. I understand.” She hung up the phone and turned to the team, “the metal plate you found is apparently some sort of document.” “So it’s a time capsule after all,” Celestia remarked, “Rainbow, Sunrise, Adagio.” “Yes Ma’am!” the three replied. “Head to Professor Dialga’s lab,” Celestia told them. “And help Professor Dialga and Palkia?” asked Rainbow asked, “yes, I understand. Work that requires big brain power for me after all.” “Dammit,” remarked Applejack. “The only thing big about her is her height,” Sunrise whispered the Adagio, “and she’s the shortest out of all of us.” Adagio snorted at that statement. “Rainbow, getting excited is fine,” Celestia told her, “but don’t get in their way.” “Yes ma’am,” Rainbow replied. Rainbow, Sunrise and Adagio drove up the Professor Dialga and Palkia’s Space and Time Research Laboratory. Professor Dialga was looking at the metal plate with the three CASS members looking at him. “Something is definitely written on this, but we can’t figure out what,” he said, handing it to Adagio, “it can’t be read with X-rays or microwaves.” “Huh, I see,” Adagio stated, “I can’t see anything.” “Let me have a look,” Rainbow asked, as Adagio gave it to her. Rainbow got up and tried something, but she ended up dropping it, “Oh! Whoops!” she exclaimed as she bent down to pick it up, but Sunrise then suddenly called out. “Wait Rainbow!” he cried, Rainbow turned and looked at Sunrise, “Professor look!” he then pointed to the wall. Dialga, Rainbow and Adagio looked to where Sunrise was pointing and were shocked to see it. In the light, the metal plate reflected on the wall some words. “That’s it. It just needed to be reflected,” Dialga remarked, “Palkia get in here! We’re un-covered the metal plate’s secret. “Coming honey!” came Palkia’s voice. “Thank you,” said Dialga, “this is thanks to you.” “Congrats Dash,” Adagio said. “Yeah you might have some brain in there after all,” Sunrise remarked. “Thanks… I mean hey!” Rainbow exclaimed. Just as Palkia came in. “Dialga, what is it?” she questioned. “Take a look at that,” Dialga said. “Oh!” Palkia commented. “Get a picture of that,” Dialga told her, “And slides too!” “Yes dear,” Palkia said. That night, the red capsule at the dump was started to react to the lightning storm that was coming over. Meanwhile, far away from the red capsule, the mineral testing lab was desperately attempting to open the ampule containing the blue liquid. They tried things like a saw to welding torch. “That writing is similar to that of the sunken land of the Myu Empire,” Dialga said to the three CASS members, “I swear I’ll decipher it.” Just then Palkia came back with the photo. “The photo is ready,” she said, giving it to Dialga. “Good work,” he replied, “let’s go.” “Right,” Palkia responded. “Oh Professors?” Sunrise called to them, “I believe the key to the capsule’s mystery is in this document.” “So do I,” Dialga said, “we’ll do our best.” “Oh shall I help?” Rainbow asked. “It’s fine,” Dialga replied, “Give us some time.” “Thank you,” Adagio said as the three bowed to them, as Dialga and Palkia left the room. The red capsule was reacting more to the lightning that had started to flash in the stormy sky. Dialga and Palkia started to get the slides ready. “Turn off the lights please,” Dialga requested. “Yes dear,” Palkia replied. Professor Dialga, Palkia and their staff, worked desperately on the mystery of the writing. Rainbow, Adagio, and Sunrise were waiting for them to finish, but it was rather boring, and Rainbow had started to drop off. “Can’t the read that yet, guys?” Rainbow asked them. “They’re trying to decipher writing they’ve never seen without a dictionary,” Adagio replied, “so it’s quite a task.” “Indeed, indeed,” Rainbow stated, “I guess it would be a problem for you. You being an alien and all.” “And what’s me being an alien got to do with anything?” Adagio asked. “Doesn’t that mean you can read any language?” Rainbow questioned. “NO!” Adagio exclaimed. Sunrise was just staring intensely into space, thinking about something. The lightning storm was getting worse as the lightning crackled down and stuck the red capsule. “Lightning storms are forming in northern Canterlot. There’s been damage,” Lyra reported. “The storm clouds are moving south,” Bon-Bon informed. “So, some unseasonal lightning is about to come to this area,” Flash stated. Another lightning bolt struck the red capsule, which caused it to break open, and a cloud of smoke erupted from the capsule. Once the smoke cleared, a red monster stood, it roared and started to make its way to somewhere. This monster was the Red Fire monster, Banila. Rainbow Dash now was so tired she fell out her seat and onto the floor. That woke her up as she clutched her head. “Adagio, try calling HQ,” Sunrise said. “Urm, okay,” she replied a little unsure. “Something seems off,” Sunrise remarked. The telephone rang at CASS headquarters, and Pinkie answered it. “Hello, this is CASS HQ,” she answered, “Huh? What? A monster? Yes. A bright red one? Yes. The location? Yes. Ok got it!” “Pinkie is it a case?” asked Celestia. “Yes, I’ll head out in the Pegasus,” Pinkie replied. “Do it,” Celestia told her. “Yes ma’am,” Pinkie saluted, “Come on Fluttershy, and AJ.” “Oh we’re coming too?” Fluttershy questioned. “Absolutely,” Pinkie responded as she grabbed Fluttershy and Applejack’s arms and pulled them with her. They soon took the skies in the Pegasus to find this red monster. “A red monster? Where?” Sunrise asked over his radio transmitter. “Near the Detrot Highway No. 4 Site,” Commander Celestia replied. “Commander, we’ll head to the site now!” Rainbow replied. “Whoa, hold on,” Celestia remarked, “Pinkie, Applejack and Fluttershy are already on their way in the Pegasus. Assist Professor Dialga and Palkia with that big brain of yours.” “Damn that Pinkie,” Rainbow remarked, “Now I’m mad that she’s using my jet.” Back at the mineral testing lab, they were still trying to open the blue capsule. “Alright, let’s try electric shocks,” said the head-scientist. They pointed a satellite like dish at capsule ready to fire, “Prepare shocks,” the head-scientist said. “Yes sir,” another responded, as he went of the control panel and activated the device, the dish fired electrical beams at the capsule. Meanwhile, Banila was making its way to somewhere, destroying anything that stood in its way. It just pulled a telegraph pole out the ground when Pinkie, Applejack and Fluttershy showed up in the Pegasus. “Commander, initiating attack,” Applejack said over the radio. “Okey,” Celestia replied, “don’t let it into Canterlot, no matter what.” “Roger,” Applejack responded, she nodded to Pinkie, and she then fired missiles at Banila’s head. The monster staggered as the Pegasus flew by and Banila chased after it. Back at the Space and Time laboratory, Sunrise, Rainbow, and Adagio were getting bored and anxious. Just then, their radio transmitters went off. Sunrise answered his. “This is Sunrise,” he replied. “Sunrise, the red monster is really powerful!” cried Vice-commander Luna, “are you all done with everything there yet?” “I’d like to stay until we have answers for the professors,” Sunrise responded. “Alright,” Luna spoke, “Rainbow!” “Yes, ma’am! Roger! I’ll be right there!” she stammered, “If you’ll excuse me!” And she ran off. “I best go with her, so she doesn’t do anything reckless,” Adagio said, Sunrise nodded as she ran off after Rainbow. Back at the mineral testing lab, they were still trying to open it with electric shocks. But they seemed to be getting somewhere with the Electric shocks. “Alright, let’s try doubling the voltage,” the head-scientist said. One of the scientist cracked the voltage up. “it’s at 100,000 volts,” he reported. The head-scientist nodded and the activated the device again shooting the beams of electricity at the capsule. The blue capsule started to react as flash blue. It was soon early in the morning, when Rainbow and Adagio arrived back at the base and flew in the Griffin with Celestia to help Pinkie, AJ, and Fluttershy in the Pegasus. "Prepare to fire a rocket,” Celestia told Rainbow. “Ready!” Rainbow replied. “Fire!” Celestia cried. Rainbow fired rockets at Banila, they seem to do more that missiles as Banila roared in pain not that much more. Next the Pegasus fired some rockets and they two seem to damage Banila as the monster covered its chest where it was hit. It started to walked forward, crushing buildings under its massive feet. The Griffin and Pegasus fired their missiles and rockets at Banila, who tried to swat them away as it continued its way. While back at the Mineral Testing Laboratory, the blue capsule was acting up, seemingly unstable from the electric shocks. At the same time, at the Space and Time research centre, Professor Dialga came out the room and spoke to Sunrise, who had dosed off waiting for them to reply. “Sunrise, your fears were confirmed,” he told him as he held up what they had translated, “this record is of something terrifying.” “Something terrifying?” Sunrise questioned. Dialga nodded and began to read what it said. “‘We have finally captured the demonic monsters, Banila the red and Aboras the blue, liquified them, and buried them deep underground. They must never be opened. If these monsters are given life again, humanity will surely perish.’” “I knew it,” Sunrise responded. Just then Palkia came running out the room in a panic. “It’s no good,” she cried, “the mineral testing lab isn’t responding!” “What?!” exclaimed Dialga, as he as Sunrise turned to look at each other. At that very moment, the roof of the mineral testing lab burst opened, as a blue monster head rose from the crumbling building. The monster pushed away the rubble and emerged from the wreck, the body of the monster resembled that of a Tyrannosaurus, with its tail akin to that of a tadpole. It was the Blue Acid monster Aboras. No sooner did Aboras got free, it started to spray a blue liquid from its mouth onto the surrounding buildings. Foam started to form on the buildings before then dissolving away. In the Griffin, Celestia started to get contacted by Sunrise who told her what the plate said. “What?! The blue monster Aboras and the red monster Banila?!” she exclaimed, “then we’ve resurrected demon that humans sealed away long ago?” “That’s right,” Sunrise replied, “the blue monster Aboras is currently on the move.” “Commander, we’re out of rockets,” Rainbow declared. “This is Fluttershy, we’re also out of rockets!” Fluttershy’s voice came on the radio. “Commander look!” Adagio exclaimed as she pointed out the window. Celestia looked and saw the military were flying in to stop the monsters. “Okay, let’s leave it to them and head back to HQ,” Celestia commanded. “Yes ma’am,” Rainbow replied. “Pinkie, Sunrise, gather as HQ,” Celestia told them over the radio. “Roger,” They replied. As the Pegasus and Griffin left, the military engaged the monsters. Some jets fired rockets at Banila’s face making the monster clutch it in pain. Just as more jets came flying in to attack, Banila let off a breath of fire at them, setting the jets on fire. Aboras started to make its way towards Banila, destroying buildings and bridges as it went. Celestia, Adagio, Rainbow, Applejack, Pinkie and Fluttershy had just returned to HQ, where Sunrise, Professor Dialga and Palkia were already there. “They’re tough opponents,” Celestia remarked. “Professor Dialga and Palkia, is there anything written about those monster’s weaknesses?” asked Luna. “No, there’s nothing about it,” Palkia replied sombrely. “One’s bad enough, but, against two at once, there’s nothing we can do,” Applejack responded. “We were careless,” Dialga stated, “If I had them open Aboras’ container after we’d deciphered the writing, we’d only be dealing with one monster.” “No it’s not your fault, Professors,” Celestia assured them. “More importantly, how do we save humanity from this threat?” Luna questioned. “Let’s focus on that,” Celestia declared. “I prey that their feral combative instinct will make them fight each other,” Dialga remarked. “Fight each other?” Celestia questioned. “There is a possibility,” Sunrise spoke up, “they’re both moving as though drawn together.” “But, it’s possible that they might work together against us,” Luna said. “We’ll use the Mars 133 this time,” Rainbow Dash declared, “I’m sure we’ll defeat the monsters.” “Commander, let’s move out!” Applejack exclaimed, just then the phone rang, and Rarity answered it. “Yes, this is CASS HQ. What?! Roger,” she said and hung up, “Banilla and Aboras are nearing the Olympic Stadium.” “All right,” Celestia announced, “move out!” “Yes ma’am,” the Rainbooms replied. “Let me go with you,” Dialga said. “But, should anything happen to you, it’d be a loss for Canterlot City,” Celestia said. “Please let me go,” Dialga insisted, “there must be some way in which I can help.” “I appreciate that,” Celestia said, “sister, take care of things here.” “Of course,” Luna replied. Celestia, Dialga, and the Rainbooms left the control room and drove off in the Earth Pony #1 and #2. Meanwhile, Aboras and Banila had arrived at the Olympics Stadium, and no sooner had they arrived they started to brawl with each other. Aboras charged towards Banila, and head butted the red fire monster in the chest. Banila didn’t seem to be phased by that as it tried to put the blue acid monster away, Aboras tried to bite Banila’s hand as it did so. The two scuffled a bit, and then Banila managed to push Aboras onto its back, crushing part of the stadium as well. Aboras tried to get up and get Banila off it, but Banila won’t as they continued fighting. The Rainbooms, Commander and Professor soon arrived at the stadium. As the got out the cars, Banila and Aboras had managed to get up and were now fighting in the stadium itself. Aboras tried to bite Banila’s arm, but the red fire monster grabbed its enemy’s horn and held back. The two the wrestled around with each other a bit and ended with Aboras throwing Banila to the ground. Aboras roared in victory and Banila squirm around trying to get up. But before it could, Aboras sprayed its acidic liquid at Banila, who narrowly dodged it, slamming its head into the spotlights. Banila rolled onto its back and sat up, letting off its fire breath. Aboras countered with its liquid acid, once the flames and acid made contact with each other, they exploded. Banila stood up and charged at Aboras, but the monster deflected it. The two the scuffled again, throwing slashes and scratches, Aboras managed to bite down on Banila’s arm, digging its teeth into the red fire monster’s skin. Banila cried in pain and tried to get Aboras to let go, Aboras soon let go and they continued to wrestle. Down on the ground, everyone looked up at saw them fighting. “All right, attack!” Celestia ordered. “I’ll take Aboras,” Sunrise said. “Sunset, Pinkie, Fluttershy, go with Sunrise,” Celestia told them. “Right,” the three replied. “Come on,” Sunrise exclaimed as they ran off. “Professor Dialga, stick with me, and the others,” Celestia said. “Yes,” Dialga replied. “Let’s go,” Celestia told the rest. “Right,” they replied as the ran off as well in a different direction. Celestia’s team got a good distance away, aimed their Alpha Pistols, or in Applejack’s case her Beta Rifle, very carefully and fired at Banila. The laser beams struck Banila in the back of the head, but it seemed to do nothing to harm it. Celestia and the others then ran to get a better angle as the two monsters continued to tussle. Sunrise and his team ran into the stands and saw Aboras push Banila back, the red monster stumbled backwards and fell back. All of them fired their weapons at Aboras, but its hide was incredibly strong, and it didn’t even phase it, as Banila squirmed around trying to get up. “Twilight, try hitting it with an atomic rocket!” Celestia called out. “You should target the eyes,” Dialga said. “Target the eyes,” Twilight said as she pulled out an atomic rocket and attached it to her Delta Sniper, “got it.” Twilight looked down the scope and aimed very carefully. As soon as Banila stood up, Twilight fired and it struck Banila in the face, making the monster to cry out in pain and fall back down. “We did it!” cried Twilight happily. Aboras turned around and saw Banila on the ground covering its face in pain where the rocket had struck it. Aboras opened its mouth and sprayed its acidic liquid onto Banila, who roared out in agony as its body burned from the liquid. Banila flailed its legs and tail in the air as foam started to form, covering the red monster completely. Banila’s struggle started to slow down as the red monster started to melt away, reduced to nothing. Banila was dead. Aboras, pleased that it killed its arch-enemy, turned to face where the rocket had came from. Twilight tried to fire her Alpha Pistol, but nothing happened. “Commander, I’m out of energy!” Twilight called out. “Twilight, back off! Back off!” Celestia ordered as she at the rest to safety. Sunrise’s team tried to fire their weapons, but nothing happened with theirs as well. “Sunrise, we’re out of energy,” Sunset said, “what should we do?!” “You three meet up with the Commander,” Sunrise told them. “But Sunrise…” Fluttershy tried to counter by Sunrise interrupted her. “It’s fine! Just go!” Sunrise told them. “Come on you two,” Sunset said as she pulled Pinkie and Fluttershy away. Sunrise ran a bit and then entered the starry nexus and pulled out his Ultra coins of Ultraman and Gaia. “Lend me your power, Ultraman!” {ULTRAMAN} “Lend me the will of the earth, Gaia!” {ULTRAMAN GAIA} “I shall bring peace and harmony to the universe!!” {RISE ULTRAMAN SCORN SPECIUM PHOTON!} Ultraman Scorn landed and struck a fighting pose, as Aboras roared out loud. Scorn waited for Aboras to make the first move, and it did, Aboras sprayed its liquid acid at Scorn, but the Ultra jumped to dodge it and kicked Aboras in the head, but Aboras seemed to unphased by the attack as Scorn fell to the ground. Aboras then charged at Scorn and tried to bite down on him, but Scorn held back the monster’s jaws. After a bit of a tussle, Scorn managed to push Aboras back enough and kick it in the stomach to get it away from Scorn as he got up. Scorn was about to fire a Specium Beam, but Aboras sprayed its acidic liquid at Scorn, covering the Ultra in the acid. Celestia, Dialga, and her team, managed to get to safety when they saw Ultraman Scorn. “Look, Ultraman Scorn is…” Rainbow pointed out, she didn’t finish her sentence as already Scorn was covered in foam, Scorn was holding in the urge to scream out in pain as the foam was burning him. “It got Ultraman?!” cried Pinkie as she, Sunset and Fluttershy met up with Celestia. Scorn shook himself, getting rid of most of the foam as his colour timer started to blink. Aboras roared as it charged forward, Scorn prepared for that and grabbed its horn and held the monster back, as Aboras tried to scratch Scorn. Ultraman Scorn was just strong enough to hold Aboras back from attacking him, but this made his colour timer flash faster. “You can do it, Scorn!” Celestia called out. Ultraman Scorn the started to chop at Aboras’ neck, but as the monster didn’t seem phased by the attack, Scorn then grabbed its head and threw Aboras into the stadium’s giant monitor, causing it to explode. Aboras sprayed its acidic liquid at Ultraman Scorn but the Ultra dodged it and fired a Specium Beam at the monster. It seemed to hurt Aboras, the monster sprayed its liquid again. Ultraman scorn dodged and then used Photon Edge at the Blue Acid monster. Aboras survived that blast as it sat up and spray its acid one more time. Scorn dodged it again and then fired his Nihonium Beam which finally caused Aboras to explode. “Ultraman Scorn Won!” cheered Pinkie, as Scorn stood triumphally. Everyone smiled, knowing the threat was no more as Scorn looked to the sky and took off. Hello dears, It's I, the wonderful Adagio Dazzle, and I'm here for this instalment of Wondercolt Monster Library. Today we will be looking at two monsters, Aboras and Banila. Aboras, the blue foam Monster. He stands at 60 meters tall and weighs at 20,000 tons. his home planet is Planet Earth. Banila, the red fire Monster. He stands at 55 meters tall and weighs at 20,000 tons. his home planet is Planet Earth. In the original screenplay, Banila was to team up with Aboras and battle with Ultraman. Another early concept was that Aboras was a liquid monster that could take a monstrous form and was controlled by people from the 19th century. Additionally, he would be able to hide inside of a water bottle. This plan was later kept and drafted for a Capsule Kaiju that eventually never came to fruition. You may have also notice that the monster designs in this episode, at that of their Ultraman Powered Designs and not their original. I was a little afraid I would have to fight both monsters, but thankfully it was just Aboras, though Aboras was still pretty powerful. Well I'm afraid that's all the time we got for. join us for the next instalment of Wondercolt Monster Library in the next episode, For 'Pressure on Scorn'. We hope we'll see you then. Goodbye everyone.
