Spike faced Sunset Shimmer. He sighed and got ready to tell her.
"Before I tell you, do you promise to not freak out?" Spike asked
Sunset Shimmer nodded her head and said "I promise."
Spike, readying himself and his mind, began to tell her everything. From the origin of his evil future self to the way he tried to destroy Equestria and make Spike turn into him. After Spike told her everything, Sunset Shimmer was shocked.
"Oh my Spike, I didn't know you went through so much with Twilight. I can't believe she and her friends would do that to you." Sunset said in an appalled tone.
"It's ok Sunset, After me and the girls stopped him, I left Equestria to here and wanted to make sure I have a better chance at life again. I was scared of him achieving his goal of destroying Equestria, but I realize that Twilight and the girls are also in a way, at fault since THEY caused my dark self to exist." Spike further revealed
Sunset gasped and said "That explains why he said those things to Twilight and the others in your memories."
Spike nodded and said "Look, I don't want to burden you, I should just go and-"
However, just as Spike stood up to leave, Sunset stopped him and grabbed his hand.
"Spike, listen to me. Your future self may have been the one who caused all that destruction, but Twilight is just as much to blame for making you and him suffer that fate in Equestria. I know that you would never do that, and seeing you now shows that your scared and that's understandable. But please, don't blame yourself for the future you didn't want or cause to happen."
Spike only gave a small smile at Sunset Shimmer, who returned his smile and said "Thanks Sunset, you really did change."
Sunset replied "Friendship isn't based on one kind. It grows to everyone as long as they choose it."
Spike nodded and said "So...now what do we do?"
"Well, I-"
"Sunset?!"
The two looked and saw it was the other Rainbooms. They went over to the duo as Rainbow said
"What happened?"
"And more importantly, Who is that?" Applejack asked, pointing at Spike.
Sunset replied with a smile "Girls, it's ok. This is a friend of mine from Equestria."
Spike turned to look at them and looked at Sunset, who said at him "Tell them."
"Hey girls, I know this is weird, but I need you to follow me clearly." Spike said
The 6 girls nodded as Fluttershy asked "No offense, but who are you exactly?"
"....Do you all remember when MY Twilight Sparkle came here?" Spike asked
"There's another version of me in your dimension?!" Sci-Twi asked surprised
"Yeah, about that....well....I'm....her...." Spike said, until Pinkie Pie said in an quick tone and manner
"Your actually the dragon that she travelled here with here as a dog while she was a pony princess and the first time you met us and stopped Sunset Shimmer and you turned into a human because in your dimension you had to stop an evil you from a mean, bad future twice and during the second time you two met you managed to stop him you had an ancient evil artifact fused in your body that hasn't corrupted you because of the love you feel for us in your home and after you stopped him you came here because those versions of us in your dimension caused your meanie pants evil self to exist in his timeline by acting like mean meanie pants to him to begin with!"
With a toothy smile and SQUEE!, Spike only let his jaw fall down along with Sunset Shimmer.
"How did she-?" Spike asked, until Sunset pointed out.
"Remember it's Pinkie being Pinkie."
Spike nodded and Applejack further said in confusion.
"Wait a minute, let me get this straight, your the dog we met before? With the other Twilight?"
Spike nodded and said "If you don't believe me, here's a bit of proof."
Spike showed something on his left hand and it was the collar with a heart emblem on it, which he had as a dog.
"Wait, I recognize that from anywhere! You are that puppy!" Fluttershy said in surprise.
Spike only nodded and gave a sheepish smile, while Sci-Twi asked
"But if you were a dog like my Spike, how come you became a human like us?
"And why did you have bruises all over you? And why are they all gone so fast?" Rarity asked also
"As Pinkie mentioned, my dark self fused an artifact called the Alicorn Amulet inside my body."
"The Alicorn Amulet?!" Sunset said in shock.
"Yeah. The reason I'm not corrupted by it is because the the Elements made me realize who I am and the love I had for my friends in Equestria."
Sunset gave a look of surprise and said "Wow, but then if your future self did it, won't you fulfill his future like he said?"
"Technically no since he not only fused with the amulet, but also he didn't see the good in his friends back in Equestria with the Elements of Harmony. They helped me realize what I would do was wrong and purified it's evil from me." Spike responded
Sunset was only left surprised once more as Sci-Twi asked
"But how does that answer my question?"
"The amulet inside my body has began to help my body heal slowly with it's dark power and give me other forms of magic like fire, shapeshifting and umbrakinesis. Mainly because since both my future self and now me have the Amulet's from our timelines fused into us. Only I didn't let it corrupt me." Spike explained
This left the girls intrigued as Spike gave a look of worry as Rainbow Dash said
"So...your not going to likely plan anything evil or something?"
"Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy scolded
"No, she's not wrong and I don't intend to hurt you or anyone else here in your home either. And even i myself don't trust my own abilities or life with such things." Spike said with regret and dismay.
The girls only gave a look of pity at the boy as he asked "So, do you want to know anything else?"
The Rainbooms decided to not pry Spike a bit for now and shook their heads no. Spike then said
"Ok...So...now what?"
"Well, since your here, I guess I can take you to Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna." Sunset said
Spike nodded and followed her out the library, with his wounds fully regenerated.
(In the Principal's office)
Spike followed Sunset to the principal's office and entered. Inside were the two adult woman Spike knew from his previous encounters with Twilight.
"Hello Ms. Shimmer." Principal Celestia greeted
"Hi Principal Celestia, I'm here because I need something." Sunset asked
"What would that be?" Vice Principal Luna said
"Well, I have this new student here and he kind of needs some help." Sunset said
Spike came forth and waved his hand and said "Hi Prince- I mean Principal Celestia."
This made Spike scratch his head nervously as Sunset and the two principals looked at Spike, but they decided not to pry on it and they continued.
"Who is this young man?" Vice Principal Luna asked.
"My name is Spike your majes- I mean ma 'me" Spike said correcting himself again.
"Ok then Spike, you wish to join Canterlot High?" Celestia asked.
Spike nodded his head and Sunset began to help him through it. From where he was from to where he came from was an understatement, as Spike didn't feel comfortable telling them or the Rainbooms about his events in Equestria. After a few hours, Celestia said
"Congratulations Spike, you are now part of CHS. Welcome Aboard."
"Thanks."
"Here is your schedule." Luna said, handing him a paper.
"Ms. Shimmer, can you please escort him to his classes?" Celestia asked
Sunset nodded and said to Spike "Follow me."
Spike complied and said "The first class says Math."
"Huh, that's my first class too." Sunset said with a grin.
Spike gave a smile back and followed Sunset to the class.
(In Equestria)
Twilight was sleeping in her bed and she had some tears in her eyes. As she slept, she said in her sleep.
"Spike..I'm sorry....don't go."
Twilight began to slowly wake up more and only cried at the fact Spike wasn't with her anymore.
"Starting tomorrow, I'm looking for Spike." The lavender alicorn said in determination
However, she was unaware a familiar figure was watching her through the window, and the figure said simply.
"Good luck with that phoney."
The figure disappeared in shadowy mist, with no trace left.
