//------------------------------// // Reunion in the Stars! Decisive Fate-Changing Attack! // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. "Tini..." Alone in the hallways with only Phione being held by him was Victini. He lost sight of his friends after the Dragonite attack, having no clue as to what they've been through and where they were. Victini was slightly behind on everything. All he could do was follow the trail of destruction. "Phione..." Phione had enough time to rest without much interruption. He woke up to see all the rubble and smoke, rubbing his eyes. Even after recovering energy, he felt like clocking out once more. It was hard to tell if it was Day or Night considering they were in space. In space, it is always day and night. "Tini?!" Suddenly, Victini heard something. There was something similar to a bump in the night that went off. In this case, it was a bump in the endless dark starry skies that alerted him and Phione. At this point, Victini was on high alert. After Hoopa and Meloetta went missing, he had to be careful no matter what. That bump could very well be the sound of an enemy approaching, according to Victini's perception. For safety measures, the V on Victini's head sparked up, preparing for a V-Create if the moment calls for it. Thankfully it didn't. The cause of this noise was a friendly face. Meeting with Victini and Phione was none other than Hilda. She made her appearance after having a run-in with the Rift. Thrilled to see a friendly face after wandering for a while, Victini, whilst dragging Phione along, zoomed over with glee. "Victini!" "P-Phione!" Phione was still waking up so this sudden rush of speed certainly woke him up for good. "Hey, Victini." Hilda greeted, holding onto her cap which had tatters on it. "How long has it been since I've seen a friendly face? It's always dark in space." "Tini! Tini-Tini!" Victini babbled on, explaining everything he could to Hilda while Phione was currently being tortured via Victini's rapid movements. On the plus side, at least Victini was such a good friend to the point where he would never let go. Of course, Hilda couldn't understand a word he was saying, but she could make out from Victini's expression that it involved the Rift's actions. "Okay, okay. As long as you're fine. I'm fine myself. I had a battle with the Rift and it got pretty destructive." Hilda thought back to her battle. "Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my battle since we got separated in the scuffle. Finding the Rift's been tough. But when I do, it's due for a full payback! And for once, I won't let Hilbert take all the glory!" She proudly pumped her fist into the air. "Victini!" "But...finding the Rift is priority number one, obviously." Hilda scratched her hair. "Plus, everyone's suddenly hard to find as well. Did they ghost the place or something?" Suddenly, that's when it happened. That flash of light that brought silence. Caused by the collision of Bayleef and the Rift, this Cosmic Energy was spreading at the speed of a wildfire. Possibly even faster. This rapid yet silent light closed in on various parts of the hallway, consuming them in mere seconds. Hilda and Victini shielded their eyes while Phione was too overwhelmed to do so. However, this eclipsing light did not reach them. Instead, it stopped eventually, reaching a limit. Although, it did come close. "W-What was that all about?" Hilda wondered. "Victini..." Victini gawked as the light would then fade away. Once it faded away, despite not seeming destructive, it left a foreboding feeling in the air. Sinnoh. Chocovine Town. The Pokemon Festival. Late Afternoon. "What?! Our ship!" James yelled. Back on Earth, news about Princess Celestia's whereabouts spread rapidly, especially across the Pokemon World. All thanks to Chrysalis' plan. This was to get everyone aware of her current location and scenario so that anyone else in that tower wouldn't be ignored. But Team Rocket cared more about their Rocketship than whoever could be inside. Recently, they learned that their ship had been taken to try and recuse Celestia and her group. It was without their permission, of course. "They can't just steal what we stole!" Jessie roared. "That's our role!" "Luna's up there...?" Meanwhile, Nightmare Moon, who was currently the newest Team Rocket Member, observed the news, learning about how Princess Luna was also up there. She still had Luna's Pokemon in her possession even at this moment. Darkrai and the rest of Luna's Pokemon muttered with worried tones. Right now, at this very moment, they were unable to help their trainer at all. Because of recent events, they were stuck here while Luna faced off against a cosmic threat that was feeling a full-throttle spirit of vengeance. "I wish I could be up there right now..." Darkrai growled, furious that he couldn't get up to space and assist Luna. He could only imagine what was happening up there. "Well now that I think about it, they might bring it back, right? They're only borrowing it." James added. "Maybe...but it won't be in the best shape." Meowth shook his head. "Since the twerp's involved, there's a big chance when it gets back down to Earth, it'll be done for. Or worse...it could come crashing down!" "Don't say that!" Jessie and James roared. "I see this as an opportunity." Nightmare Moon stepped forward. "They'll have to come down eventually. That involves Luna. So...I suggest we do something about this. Wherever that ship might end up, we will meet with it." "The Pokemon House!" Jessie raised her arm. "Duh! We should be heading back there right now!" "No, no, no." Nightmare Moon shook her head, rejecting Jessie's answer. "Judging by what this newspaper has shared with us, that battle will send the ship elsewhere. It won't be guaranteed that it lands back there. Therefore, we must anticipate where it could fall." "Where and how though? We're not astrologists." James asked. "Where? You three are geniuses!" Nightmare Moon raised her voice, starting them each. "You are some of the smartest crafters I have ever seen! The mechanisms you create are truly special and, if used properly, could guarantee absolute world domination or something smaller scale but still efficient and lucrative. It's honestly surprising that you've failed to catch one Pokemon all these years..." "Way to rub it in." Jessie sighed. "By my order, you shall build something. Build something that will help us cover more ground. Or at least, something for the eventual descent of that ship." Nightmare Moon ordered. "Those riches are still up for grabs and will likely go past whatever value your ship has." "She's right!" Meowth exclaimed. "We'll just make something for when that ship comes down from wherever." "Good." Nightmare Moon nodded in approval. The rest of you Strange and Wonderful creatures can sit tight and not worry about a thing. You might meet up with Luna very soon. Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. After a bursting Boomburst from Jackie's Chatot AKA Casey, everyone nearby couldn't ignore it. Especially since it was a positive sound despite how ear-bursting it was. Jackie, King Paramount, Queen Luminary, Queen Chrysalis and each of their respective guards plus Canterlot Guards arrived at this room to meet with Celestia and everyone else. "There you are." Jackie waved as the group was starting to expand with this reunion. Seeing friendly faces yet again brought warmth to their hearts. "You look to be safe despite everything around you," Paramount spoke. "Thank goodness." "Maybe we did show up in time," Luminary added. "I would've thought something horrible happened with all the destruction here." "We survived. Whatever happened here wasn't enough to stop us all." Luna added. "The Rift is truly weaker." "And I knew you'd show up eventually." Celestia bowed to them. "You showed up at a calmer time though. At least for us. Right now, Ash has probably met with the Rift. It's why it even started attacking up here. So...it's not too late." "Oh. That's good to know." Scootaloo stepped forward, appearing in her older form while also having Apple Bloom next to her. Only Scootaloo appeared older, throwing Rainbow Dash off guard. "Ash has got this." "W-Who are you?!" Rainbow Dash pulled back. "Scootaloo's mom?!" "Huh? Oh, right!" Scootaloo stood tall once she looked familiar to everyone else. "Uh...it looks like Rift-Dialga caught me off guard and did this to me. The same goes for my Rapidash and Quilava...Now they're just Ponyta and Quilava, and I don't know how to fix it. But hey! On the bright side, I'm older now! Isn't that neat?!" "Not for me..." Apple Bloom wept. "We won't match now. Glad Sweetie Belle ain't here to see this." "Wait. Does this mean I'm gonna have to retrain Pontya and Cynadquil?" The older Scootaloo twirled her mane. "Hm...It could be easier now that I'm older and know a lot more!" "Oh...Um, sister. You fixed Rainbow Dash. Do you suppose you could fix Rainbow Dash too?" Luna asked as Celestia was the one to fix Rainbow Dash's separation problem. "Um...No. Not really." Unfortunately, time was out of Celestia's power for this one. "This might require another method. Such as finding Rift-Dialga and reversing it. That's all I can think of." "Well, a lot happened here." Jackie chuckled. "A shame we aren't done yet. But I guess all we have to do is find the Rift and close this book once and for all." While everyone else reunited and mostly spoke about Scootaloo's older form and the final blockade that was the Rift, one voice called out to Premium Polish. Premium Polish was the only one to hear this voice as it sounded like it had a mechanical sound to it. That was a strikingly familiar sound as the young android was drawn to it. Hiding behind one of the many destroyed walls was a familiar unicorn. Someone dear to Premium Polish. Her mother, Skyblue Shine. Chrysalis already knew that Skyblue Shine was here as she helped ensure that no one on the ship would find out about her. And so far, no one in the tower had seen her except for her daughter, who Skyblue Shine wanted to make sure was safe and sound. Without screaming her name, Premium Polish pranced over to reunite with her mother. She looked back to see if anyone was watching but she was completely in the clear with everyone else focused on more pressing matters "Mom!" Once she was alone with her mother, that's when she could cry her name out. "You're here!" "I am. It's wonderful to see you once more, my daughter." Skyblue Shine responded, showing a smile, which was fairly rare for her to show. "And it's even more wonderful to see that you're alright. I came here just to see if you were safe after learning about your current position." "I'm totally safe. Princess Celestia and everyone's got my back after all. She's done a great job of taking care of me." The young android grinned. "Splendid. Though I'm terrified to show my face in front of her, I'm glad that such a pony is taking good care of you. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that she takes care of you more than me." "Huh? That's not true." "Why wouldn't it be? Even after resolving things with you, I was absent from your life once more, heading to other universes. Princess Celestia has done a better job at taking care of you than I ever had. She is your best bodyguard without a doubt. But one day, I wish to return and remain by your side as always." "You can do that now. You showed up, right? So why not stay behind? I can talk with Princess Celestia and-" "Because my work isn't done. I want to help this universe and make amends for what I did. And that means doing what I can from other universes, especially those belonging to the Empress. This Universe is crucially important and a massive target, my child. Since this is your home, I'm doing everything in my power to try and keep it safe. So until that happens, I won't be around for a while yet again." "Aww..." Disappointed, Premium Polish whimpered before having an oil tear appear on her eyes, only for Skyblue Shine to wipe it away. "But..." "Don't be sad. Expect another Hearth's Warming Gift from me. And if you are ever in grave danger, I will be there to save and help you. Especially with everything involving those vampires. I'll never be truly absent, Premium." Skyblue Shine brought a ray of hope back to her. "O-Okay! Just...don't leave yet. It's still dangerous in here." "I don't intend to. Not until you're home safe." Premium Polish hugged her daughter as if she would stick around longer just for her and of course, her safety. "Now, if we're to get home, the Rocketship is one way to do so. The Rift is still active though and there is another one of its creations outside. So, let's-" Abruptly, her sentence was interrupted, along with everyone else's words. This room, other rooms and practically every room in this tower started to shake without any warning. There wasn't the sound of an attack going off to prompt this. It just suddenly happened. "Ough!" Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo bumped into each other, finally having matching sizes to do so in symmetry. Celestia and a few others kept themselves steady as it felt like the tower was starting to move with all this shaking. "What was that?!" Applejack bellowed with Sceptile holding onto her and Apple Bloom. For safety measures, Sceptile would prepare his vines as a means to keep everyone still and balanced. "The tower...it feels like it's moving!" Celestia felt the shift in the tower's actions. "Something's moving the tower from the outside!" "Is it Rift-Giratina?!" Queen Chrysalis gasped before grabbing everyone's attention. They couldn't just ignore that sentence. "Rift-Giratina?!" Many of them exclaimed, stunned to hear that name. Especially those who already encountered the Rift Creations. There was indeed a third one currently outside, confronting the real Giratina and an older Flurry Heart. "Let me see!" Jackie had the object to check it out. His Rift Goggles. By using one of his many Rift-Based gadgets, he quickly propped the goggles on to observe the outside. These goggles were obviously made out of Rift Energy, giving them special properties. And for these goggles, they granted the wearer the ability to see through things, especially walls, similar to Luxio's X-Ray ability but without any bones being involved. And by doing so, he saw that it wasn't Rift-Giratina doing this. Right now, Rift-Giratina was wrestling with its real variant in a head-to-head draconic clash with the real Giratina pushing the Rift Variant back with Iron Head. "It's not Rift-Giratina that's doing this..." Jackie shook his head before turning his head along with the goggles to continue finding the source. He noticed that there was a red aura around the tower that didn't come from Rift-Giratina. It was coming from somewhere else. And once he saw where the red aura started, it pointed to Earth. "It's a red aura...no. A red beam! It's coming from the Earth!" "Red beam...?" Paramount and Luminary said before looking at themselves and later at the seven Unown that were with them. They had only one answer as they blurted it out in unison. "SECOND WIND!" Pinnaculum Pegalysium. Late Afternoon. Indeed. Second Wind spotted a flare of Rift Energy constantly coming from that tower earlier. After staring t the structure in the sky for a while, she decided on the most obvious solution. Take all the Rift Energy from the tower. The Grand Queen hadn't given up on that kind of cosmic power after what it felt like to use it all. She already had multiple Unown with her and this would only add to her power. And to bring that extra power to her, involved using her Unown to use their amazing Hidden Power in unison, sending a combined red beam the size of a large bridge to reach the cosmos. And once it reached space, the beam started pulling the tower away. The combined might of these Unown worked well enough to do so. "Good! That's it!" Premium Polish cackled. "Bring it all down! I know what to do with that power and that tower will especially serve some sort of purpose. I won't let Daybreaker and the others have more than me after all. Keep going, Unown!" The Unown intensified their power, increasing the speed and strength of their beam. This would only force the tower down some more, but also, cause trouble from without and on the outside. This much strength threatened the tower which had already taken massive amounts of damage. At this rate, Meowth's prediction could come true. But it wouldn't be a ship that falls and neither would it be Ah's actions that result in it. Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. The very top of the tower. Aside from all of that, the most crucial moment finally came to pass. The result of that bright cosmic flash ended. Though it caused no destruction, the collision warped the dimensions of this entire area. Twilight had a carrier up, fearing that massive destruction would come from this. But it didn't happen. Instead, all it resulted in was floating platforms. She and Fluttershy found themselves on these platforms that were starting to float thanks to the sudden burst of cosmic power. Ash could also be seen with his Pokemon, standing on these platforms. He held onto his hat, keeping it steady as everyone was finally starting to calm down. As for Bayleef and Galaxy Master, their bodies were also spotted as they were the ones who caused this. One had the power to change fate while the other would always have fate on its side. These two law-defying powers clashed, but which one of the two emerged victorious? Galaxy Master, who was still possessed by the Rift, stood there stunned as Bayleef's Leaf touched its chest with a faint amount of Rift Energy around the tip of her leaf. "Did it work?" Fluttershy gawked, wondering if that meant Bayleef overwrote the fate of Galaxy Master. They were still stuck in that same position while having cosmic auras around them. Right now, the two of them found themselves locked via a cosmic power. "They both can't move!" Twilight gasped. "Did the Rift freeze itself and Bayleef for this?! Or was it a volatile result from that reaction?" "I...can't....lose!" The Rift spoke before beginning to break out of this cosmic hold. Its arms were starting to move while Bayleef was still stuck, unable to move. "B-Bay!" Bayleef suddenly growled before then feeling a chill rush through her body. The Leaf Pokemon shuddered as her body turned chilly. Not just her, but Ash, Pikachu and everyone else, even Ninetales and Raboot, felt this horrific chill. "W-What is this...?! It's so cold!" Fluttershy got down, wrapping her feathers around her. In seconds, she began freezing up slowly. "This...feels familiar!" Ash would know what this feeling was. He's been into space a few times and this feeling wasn't abnormal at all. "Feel it...! The coldness of space!" The Rift cackled as it had unleashed the chilling atmosphere of space onto Ash and the others. "Not even Fire-Types can resist this! This cold is unlike anything you've ever felt before!" "P-Pika...!" "Sol...! A-Absol!" "Audino...!" Everyone felt the harsh chill of space while Ash slowly got up, holding onto one arm while trying to resist the cold. Others were doing their best to resist it too, especially Ninetales, who tried warming himself up to sustain some heat. "Give it up!" Galaxy Master yelled. "Space is the one thing you can't get past...It's the final frontier after all...Though, I'm running low on power after that flash here. I'll end it now while I have the chance!" The Rift would do a last-ditch attack while it had the chance. With weak arms, it began gathering power for a cosmic blast. Simple but effective, especially against those who couldn't move. "It's over! Victory is right before my eyes!" "No...it's not!" Ash protested, still keeping onto the spark of hope. Whether it was in space or whatever bizarre location there may be, he always saw the positive outcome. "Because...we haven't shown our ace-in-the-hole yet." "Your Z-Move? You can't reach the crystals in your state!" Galaxy Master's legs were now beginning to move as he was slowly starting to break out of the Cosmic Lock. "Not that." The Alola Champion grinned. It was something else that could potentially do the trick. "Now Twilight!" "Got it! Take it all, Bayleef!" The ace-in-the-hoe revealed itself to be seemingly Twilight. Except, it wasn't. From out of Twilight's horn, a burst of Rift Magic came flying out with every ounce of her strength she could exude. Bayleef was still the ace in the hole. All the Rift energy Twilight possessed was sent towards the Leaf Pokemon, embedding her power in an abundance of it. Bayleef's eyes flashed white before then feeling a familiar surge of Cosmic ENergy within her. "BAY...!" Her voice echoed out with the same level of intensity as the Royal Canterlot Voice. Her body unleashed a great flash of cosmic aura that was so hot, it overpowered the chill of space. Twilight gave out all she could before nearly passing out. Thankfully, the intense aura around Bayleef warmed up this entire room. all the chilling tensions were melted away by her passionate aura. "No way!" Galaxy Master gasped as the chill of space could no longer be felt. Now it was the heat of a star tht existed around this area. But it was to a level bearable for her friends. "Yes, way!" Fluttershy cheered. "You can do it Bayleef! Do what you do best and change fate!" "I don't think so!" The Rift then gained the strength to fully move before thrusting both its hand forward, unleashing a cosmic blast up close at Bayleef's body. "Here goes! Lucario! Aura Sphere!" "Lucario!" Lucario would strike while he had the chance. This was the one chance for his Aura to be at its most powerful. It was when Bayleef's power skyrocketed. The Aura Pokemon threw one last Aura Sphere that was as big as his head. The sphere travelled at great speeds, picking up the heat of the stars along the way before meeting with the wide cosmic blast. It intercepted the attack right as it expanded, getting in front of Bayleef. The power of Aura clashed with it, tearing through this astral power while Bayleef was still stuck there. But not for long. The heat of her Aura melted it all way, giving the Leaf Pokemon a chance to move. "BAYLEEF!" And now that she could move, Bayleef used this opportunity to jump over Galaxy Master's head. At this moment, that was when the full power of her leaf had been used. With nothing to hold her back, Bayleef unleashed a chunk of her leaves that let out streaks of cosmic stardust. With just one touch on Galaxy Master's head. Fate had changed. If the Rift had eyes, they would probably shrink by now as the Cosmic Blast had been eradicated. Aura Sphere hit its mark, breaking through the attack and crashing into the Rift's stomach for a second time. This time with a greater impact than before. "Y-You can't do this to me...!" The Rift ranted before then being pushed back by the Aura Sphere, unable to hold still against this power. "I-I won't go down here! I refuse to-" But it was immediately cut off once the Aura Sphere expanded, covering it in a giant gale of Aura that dazzled so beautifully, it could fit well in the cosmos. "I-I am actually about to lose...Well played. Ash. All of you. But...I won't let this be my final moment at all. This won't be the place where it all ends!" Just like that, Galaxy Master's body pulsated from the shock and outburst with the Rift finally being forced out of its body. The rest of this room had been blown apart to smithereens by the final effect of Aura Sphere. Out of the azure explosion, Galaxy Master could be seen dropping. That was the sign. The sign that it was all over now. The winner of this battle up in the stars was Ash Ketchum, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy and their Pokemon. With victory finally on their side, Ash grasped his fist before taking a deep breath and spouting out those words in a tired voice. "We win." As the journey continues. Chapter 924 End.
