The Omnitrix Hero

Season 2, Episode 2: New Alien On the Block

It was another busy day in Canterlot and at the city's junkyard, Shining, Trixie and six of the Rainbooms were sitting around waiting for something.

Twilight was working on some kind of video camera, whilst Pinkie was painting a line on the ground and Sunset was looking at a tablet. On said app, two dots were moving quickly along a map of the town. One was blue and the other was orange, the dots appearing side by side as they zoomed up the street. "They're almost here."

"Great," Twilight smirked, "camera's ready. Everyone get prepared." They all rushed to the side, the only one not looking excited being Rarity.

The posh girl was sitting inside a plastic bubble, using a fan to keep herself cool in the heat of the plastic. Applejack turned to her and sighed, "do ya'h really need to be in that thing?" Rarity looked shocked.

"If I am to be in this filthy scrapyard, I'm taking proper precautions. Besides, we all know what's going to happen when they get here."

"We do?" Pinkie asked, "I don't." She suddenly looked excited. "OOW! Are there going to be party cannons that explode with confetti? Or fireworks? Or maybe a banner? Ooow, this is gonna be fun!" Before anyone could say anything to correct her, they heard a sound and looked up the street to see something moving towards them quickly.

In fact, it was two somethings. Rainbow and XLR8, both running at their max speed side by side. They were heading straight towards them and once Twilight made sure the camera wasn't going to go flying, they rushed to the sides and stayed as far away from them as possible. And sure enough, the pair exploded past them so quickly that they kicked a cloud of dust straight into the air.

Everyone coughed at this and as the cloud vanished, a very smug Rarity continued to keep herself cooled. "And you doubted me." The others rolled their eyes as XLR8 and Rainbow came out of the cloud at normal speed, the lot of them moving over to the camera.

"Well?" Rainbow asked as they gave Sunset back their tracking devices, "who won?"

"Give me a minute," she told them as she rewound the footage. She stopped it right at the point before the pair crossed the line, everyone gathering around her as she pressed play. The footage started in super, super, super, super slow motion. The image showed the pair moving closer to the red line, being a bunch of still frames.

After a few moments, one of them passed the finish line first and that one cheered. "VICTORY!" XLR8 cheered, jumping up and down whilst Rainbow looked horrified that she had actually been beaten.

"No way," she gasped whilst the others patted her on the shoulder.

"Don't sweat it, partner. He's only a little faster than you."

"Yeah," Twilight checked the time she crossed the finish line. "Like...point zero, zero, zero one seconds faster. That's hardly anything."

"I gotta get faster," Rainbow frowned as she looked over the clothing she had been wearing. Said clothing was her normal getup minus her jacket, which Fluttershy handed to her. "Maybe if I wore shorts and shaved my legs."

"I wouldn't worry about it," Shining told her. "Even if XLR8 is faster than you, you've got him beaten in other areas."

"Like what?"

"Like-" The Omnitrix suddenly beeped and XLR8 reverted back to Flash Sentry, who was still celebrating his victory. "You can run a lot longer than he can. He has you beat in speed, but you've got distance over him." Rainbow seemed to accept this, whilst Flash looked down at the watch. "Either way, this is good info to know."

"Didn't we do this before?" Rarity asked, as she left her bubble and moved over to them.

"Yes," Twilight nodded, "but that got interrupted. We still haven't fully gauged the limits of what Flash can do with his aliens."

"I can tell you one limit he has," Trixie told them as she leaned against a car. "Water." That confused them, "none of Flash's aliens look like they'd be much use in water. Do you know if any of them can even float, let alone swim?" Flash realised she was right. He had never actually needed to go near any water, so this limit hadn't occurred to him before.

"You have a point," Shining nodded. "We should test out which of your aliens are water resistant. But we'll have to wait for another day to do that. For now, we'll focus on testing your abilities against the girls to try and figure out a base limit you have."

"Got it," Flash nodded. "But Trixie does have a point. Too bad the Omnitrix only has ten aliens. I could really use one like Majester Glug. He looked like he'd do well in water." The others nodded as they wondered why Flash only had those ten aliens in the watch. But it was likely a question they would never get the answer to.

Meanwhile, in an apartment building next to a river in the city, a young girl was sitting in her room.

That girl was Fleur De Lis, who was currently wearing a pink shirt and green shorts along with a beret. She smiled as she sat at the round window with a big book she had just gotten on her lap.

Said book was on myths and legends from her parent's home country, Prance. She loved that country as much as America and was always interested in its culture. She smiled as she looked at the book, ready to start reading. But before she did, she got up and headed to her room's mini-fridge.

But as she got a soda out, something appeared outside the window. Equestrian Magic.

The energy flowed through the glass and swirled around without Fleur knowing, until it flew into her book and caused it to glow. That glow lasted a few seconds before it died down, right as Fleur returned with her drink.

Soda in hand, she sat back down and opened the book. Doing so revealed a page with an interesting image on it. That of a creature that looked human, but had red skin and a long pointed nose. Its fingers were long with sharp claws on the end of it. It had a scraggly black beard on its chin and a streak of black hair running from the back of its bald head down its neck and spreading out to cover its back all the way to just above the waist. The only clothing it wore was a brown loincloth.

Fleur grimaced at the creature's appearance and read the creature's name. "Nain Rouge," she spoke aloud before she ready about its history and the myths surrounding these creatures. What she didn't realise was as she read, the book was giving out a light from beneath that flowed under her before flying out the window.

The light flew down to the street and swirled into a cloud of energy, in which a figure slowly appeared before jumping out to reveal a creature that looked exactly like the monster Fleur was currently reading about.

It was only two feet tall and laughed as it ran away from the magic cloud, which was forming another figure that leapt out to reveal a second nain rouge. Another was then created, then another and another and they all ran away from the building laughing. Eventually, an army of the creatures was created before the light vanished. An army that was looking to make a lot of trouble.

Flash laughed as he finished off his drink, Pinkie having said something to the group that made them all bust a gut. As he did, the Omnitrix turned green and they all smirked.

"Alright," Applejack stood up, "time ta see who's stronger. Me or Riot-Horn." Flash smirked as he stood up and activated the watch, dialing in the alien of his choice.

"Get ready to lose this contest," he smirked before slamming the dial down. But as he did, something felt wrong. In a flash of light, his body was different but not the type of different he was used too. He suddenly couldn't feel his legs and he cried out as he fell backwards, letting out a roar using a voice he didn't recognise.

The others were blinded for a moment but as the light faded, they looked towards him and gasped.

Flash's head was starting to focus and as he lifted his arms, he found they were covered in gray fur with long white claws. "Guys...what am I?" The others weren't sure how to answer that question.

Laying on the ground was a large creature that looked like a mix of multiple animals, which was covered in grey fur. Its head was that of a wolf, with the ears of a bat and large tusk-like fangs coming out of its mouth along with long white horns on its head. Its body was that of a bear's, with fur-less upper arms whilst its furred forearms ended in four long white claws. The rest of its body was that of a furry snake, for it had a long tail that was as long as its head and body. From the tip of its snout to the tip of its tail, the alien was around thirteen or so feet. Running along its back and tail were a series of round brown spikes, whilst the Omnitrix was on its chest.

Applejack and Shining reached down to grab his arms, being careful of his claws, then pulled him up. But doing so just caused him to fall forwards, as he didn't have any feet to stand on. He managed to land on his long arms as Trixie took out her phone, snapping a picture of him to show the new alien.

"Wow," Flash looked the picture over, "I guess I look kind of cool."

"But what the heck are you?" Rainbow asked.

"He's an alien," Shining pointed out. "It's not like they're all gonna be something we recognise." As he said that, Spike let out a hum and seemed to recognise him somehow.

"He looks like a hodgepodge of different animals," Rarity stated.

"I think he looks cute," Fluttershy smiled before Spike snapped his paws.

"He's a dragon!" The others turned to him in confusion, "what?"

"Spike," Trixie scratched her head, "in what way does he look like a dragon? He's got no wings, no scales and I doubt he could breathe fire."

"Fine," Spike sighed, "he's not your typical dragon. But they don't all look like that, you know."

"What makes you the expert?" Rainbow asked, as Twilight laughed.

"Ever since he learned he was a dragon in Equestria, he's been studying them in his spare time. He's quite the dragon expert now." Spike nodded with pride.

"And I'll have you know that in some European countries, dragon was the name they gave to monsters that were a mix of different animals. It eventually fell out of use when the scaly winged creatures started getting more popular and the term chimera was used to replace it."

"So Flash is a chimera?" Sunset asked, as they looked him over and Spike kept talking.

"He's body actually resembles that of a norse dragon, which had no wings and a serpent-like body with a pair of upper arms and no feet. They were called lindworms."

"Lindworm?" Flash pushed himself up, using his tail to balance. "Alright, but what can it do?" He lost balance and fell back, crying out as he hit the ground. The others rushed to help him but as he did, Fluttershy's hand rubbed against part of his fur.

"OW!" She pulled back and looked at her hand, seeing a cut on her palm. The others rushed to her side and Flash realised he had hurt her, gasping.

"Sorry."

"it wasn't your fault," she assured him. "But your fur is sharp." That surprised them and they each carefully tested his fur, realising it was quite sharp. And hard.

As Applejack used Shining's first aid kit to bandage Fluttershy up, Rarity took out a pair of tweezers from her bag. "Hold still, darling." She grabbed a hair and pulled it out, making Flash flinch as she held the hair up and took out some scissors. She tried to cut it, but the hair refused to snap. She eventually gave up, fearing she'd damage her favourite work scissors. "My word, this fur is like metal."

"It's like you're covered in a suit of carbon fibre," Twilight smirked.

"I guess that's cool," Flash nodded as he tried to pick himself up. His tail suddenly flipped around and as it drew close to his face, something inside Flash told him to bite onto it. When he did, everyone looked at him in disgust.

"Ew," Trixie stuck her tongue out, "what are you doing?" Flash didn't reply and simply continued to move around with his tail in his mouth, doing so causing him to start rolling like a wheel.

"Okay," Rainbow looked at him in confusion as he slammed into a car stack and knocked it over. He then pushed off a car and rolled the other way, heading straight for them and rolling in their direction.

"Look out!" Sunset cried, the lot of them leaping out of the way as the lindworm shot passed them.

"Watch it!" Pinkie cried, as the alien rolled around out of control. He was heading towards another stack of cars and they all expected to see another crash, but he managed to pull himself out of the way just in time.

"I think he's getting the hang of it," Twilight smiled before Flash suddenly turned again and crashed into another stack of cars. "Or not." They all rushed over to him as the car piled up on top of him, all hoping his hard fur was protecting him. And as they got closer, one of the cars was suddenly lifted off the pile and thrown away before Flash pulled himself out of it.

"Looks like ya'h pretty strong," Applejack told him.

"Strength's useless if I can't move around properly," Flash growled as he got out of the pile and slowly managed to balance himself onto his tail. He was getting the hang of it, using his arms to stabilize himself. But he knew one tiny impact would likely knock him onto his back. He planned on staying perfectly still until he was back in his human body.

However, it was in that moment Shining's phone received a police alert. Taking it out, he hit play and got a message sent to all officers. "Attention all officers. Multiple Code Z-six-threes in town." Shining's eyes went wide at that.

"Z-six-three?" Twilight looked confused, "what's that?"

"New code. It's for creatures of unknown origins. It was brought in after...well, you know." They did and Shining rushed towards his car, the others following after him.

"Hey!" Flash cried as he fell onto his front and pulled himself along, "wait for me!" However, he wasn't very fast with his manor of movement.

"Sorry Flash," Shining told him. "But you won't fit in any of our vehicles. You'll have to wait until you change back and go XLR8 or something." Flash frowned, knowing that would take forever.

Instead, he curled himself up and grabbed his tail. They gasped as they watched him begin to roll away, still completely out of control but at least he was going in the right direction. The rest got in their own vehicles, Trixie grabbing Flash's keys out of his bag before they all drove off.

They followed Flash as he clumsily rolled towards the city, hoping nobody saw this new alien form as a threat. "Why do you think Flash suddenly has a new alien?" Trixie asked the others, the lot of them going onto a group call.

"Who knows," Shining told her. "Maybe he did something and unlocked this new form. Or maybe it's just another glitch that happened to have a fortunate outcome." Twilight thought about this and suddenly had an idea.

"Maybe it's an after effect of the power surge."

"What power surge?" Sunset asked.

"The one from Vilgax's ship. Maybe it did more than force Flash to switch through his aliens. Maybe it removed something that was keeping Flash from obtaining new aliens."

"You really think that's possible?" Rarity asked, Twilight shrugging.

"It's just a theory. But if it's true, it's possible Flash could start unlocking other new aliens aside from the ten he has. Well...eleven." They turned back to Flash as he rolled forward, wondering if he could even see. At this point, they reached the city and found the street the report talked about was almost deserted.

Flash finally chose to come to a stop, uncurling himself and almost managing to do so without falling over. "Wow!" He hit the ground and groaned, pushing himself up as he looked around and found the normally busy street was deserted.

The others pulled their vehicles to a stop and got out, Shining taking out his badge as they did so. "It's quiet," Shining stated. "Too quiet." They continued to looked around, "where is everybody?"

They suddenly got an answer when an electrical sign connected to the side of a building suddenly exploded, shocking them all as they looked up at the sign and saw something. The red creature ."What the heck is that?" Pinkie asked, as the creature stared at them.

Suddenly, it leapt off the sign and flew towards them with its claws and teeth primed. Fluttershy screamed but before it could reach them, Rarity put up a shield. It bounced off the shield and hit the ground, Shining pulling out his gun and pointing it at the creature.

"What are you?" Shining asked. "If you can understand me, stop before I'm forced to hurt you." The creature growled as it picked itself up and charged again, Shining firing at it. He hit it in the chest and its eyes went wide before it suddenly exploded into a rain of light.

"What was that?" Trixie cried, as Sunset moved closer and felt one of the light specks as it fell on her. As soon as she touched it, she knew what it was.

"Equestrian Magic." Everyone's eyes went wide at this.

"That was Equestrian Magic?" Twilight asked.

"I was made from it," Sunset nodded. "My guess is it was some kind of solid illusion. It must have been created using whatever's been enchanted by it."

"Well we'd better find it before it makes anything else," Shining stated. But as he said that, Spike heard something an looked up before his eyes went wide.

"Yeah...might be a little too late for that." The others looked confused before following his gaze, their eyes going wide when they saw what looked to be a hundred or so of that red creature. They were all staring down at them, looking just as blood hungry as their destroyed brother.

Flash sighed. "Oh, great." With that, the little gremlins leapt down and attack. Rarity tried to shield them all, but Flash was way too big. Instead, he pulled himself away from the others as the creatures leapt down towards them. He then started slashing at them, managing to get a few of them and making them go puff. However, there were just too many of them.

"Flash!" Twilight cried when several landed on his back, making him fall onto his front. Shining took this moment to take out his badge, throwing his gun to Trixie before putting it on and activating his suit.

Trixie took the gun and fired out of a hole Rarity made for her, hitting several of the gremlins on Flash and making them pop. Shining then took out his weapon and turned it into a gun, firing lasers at more of the creatures and blasting them off Flash. This allowed him to slash at the rest around him until the Omnitrix started beeping.

"Great!" He leapt towards the shield and rolled himself up, crushing a pair of gremlins beneath him before he transformed back. "WOW!" He was sent flying towards the shield, Rarity making an opening for him to fall through and be caught by Applejack.

As he did, Trixie, Shining and Pinkie continue to make the creatures go pop. Twilight even started picking them up off the ground and throwing them against the walls, popping them as Trixie emptied the gun's clip. "I'm out." Shining continued to blast them as Flash recovered, watching as more and more of the creatures were blasted into non-existence.

"Rarity," Pinkie took out a large pot of sprinkles, "ready?" She nodded and dropped the shield as Pinkie ran around the lot of them, throwing the sprinkles outwards towards the gremlins. Once she formed a full circle, Rarity put the dome up again. The remaining gremlins stared at the sprinkles as they glowed, Twilight grabbing them in her magic before pulling them towards the sprinkle cloud.

They then exploded and the gremlins screamed as they were consumed, the explosion destroying them. When the multi-coloured cloud faded away, not a single gremlin could be seen. Rarity dropped the shield and the lot of them carefully stepped around the street, seeing if any of those creatures remained.

"Any sign of them?" Sunset asked, but they all shook their heads.

"I think we got rid of them all," Twilight sighed as Shining retracted his suit. "But we still need to find what caused them to appear." The others nodded as Shining told them to split up. Shining, Sunset and Pinkie got in his car whilst Flash, Trixie and Twilight got in his. Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy climbed into Applejack's truck and they all drove off, Rainbow running off using her magic.

"I hope we can find the Equestrian Magic before it creates anything worse than those creatures," Trixie stated as she looked out the window.

Flash just nodded and Twilight saw he looked upset about something. "What's wrong?" Flash frowned, But Twilight gave him a look that told him she wouldn't let up until he told them.

"I'm just annoyed," he told her. "This watch gives me a brand new alien out of the blue and it's practically useless."

"I'd hardly call it useless," Trixie told him. "It's strong, practically indestructible, has sharp claws and teeth and I bet when it gets up to speed, can do some serious damage."

"But I can barely control myself," Flash pointed out. "I can only go in a straight light and when I'm not spinning, I keep tripping over myself."

"You just need practise," Twilight assured him. "I mean, were you instantly a master with your other aliens?"

"At least I was able to stand up as them without any issue. And you all saw how quickly I was able to figure out Diamondhead."

"Well you'll just have to keep trying. You'll figure out how to use that alien." Flash smiled at her, glad he had her and the rest of his friends in on his secret now. Not only could they help him actually fight now, but they could be there for moral support. Something Flash felt he was gonna need a lot of in the future.

Fleur continued to read from her book, though none of them seemed as impressive as the nain rouge she had red about before.

But then she flipped the page and found herself staring at what looked like the Loch Ness Monster, but with a body that was entirely covered in large hedgehog quills. "Ooh," she was intrigued and read its name allowed, "The Peluda." Saying it out loud made the book unleash more magic that she didn't see. And before she could, it flew out of the window and down into the street.

The magic instantly did a beeline for the river, diving down into it before taking shape and forming something. Unlike before, the thing remained in cloud until the magic entirely faded. When it faded, the underwater creature was revealed to be the same spine covered plesiosaur that Fleur had been reading about.

The creature remained under the water, being roughly forty feet in length. Twenty-five foot of it of that length was made up of its neck and tail, which swerved through the water to propel it away from the house that held its maker. Nobody noticed it at first, but they would.

Back with Flash and his friends, he, Twilight and Trixie had parked near a river as they called the others. "Find anything?" Twilight asked over her phone.

"Nothing," Shining sighed.

"Same here," Rainbow told them.

"They've gotta be somewhere," Applejack pointed out.

"Maybe," Sunset agreed, "but they might not be using it right now. Until we can figure out more about how this magic works, we're playing a guessing game on where they'll strike next." But as soon as she said that, Spike heard something.

"What was that?"

"What was what?" Twilight asked, Spike looking down in the direction of the river.

"I think I heard a scream." He listened, his dog hearing allowing him to hear far better than human ears. And sure enough, he heard another scream coming from up river. "There. Someone's in trouble." That was all Flash needed to hear, the teen jumping into his car and starting it up as the others did the same.

They rushed down the road, following the river through the town. And as they got closer, they started hearing the screams themselves. And they soon saw why people were screaming. "Wow," Trixie gasped when they saw the large creature in the water, its long head attempting to grab people in its mouth.

"What is that thing?" Spike asked.

Flash stopped the car. "Whatever it is, it's dangerous." He jumped out of the car and activated the Omnitrix, praying he wouldn't turn into something else that was useless. Once he was sure that nobody was looking, he slapped the watch down and transformed into Volt-Edge.

The electrical alien ran towards the creature, the peluda turning to glare at him as it raised its spiny body out of the water before firing several quills towards him.

"Wow!" Volt-Edge leapt to the side to avoid the attack, as he summoned as much lightning as possible. He then shot it into the water, hoping to deep fry the beast before it could cause any problems. The lightning surged into the water and electrified it, flying over to the beast and into its body.

It roared out as it was electrocuted, but it didn't seem to be in as much pain as Volt-Edge had been hoping for. The others noticed this as well and Twilight had a feeling this creature might be resistant to electrical energy. She didn't get to say this though, as the peluda launched several more quills towards them.

She and Trixie had to jump out of range, whilst Volt-Edge swung his claws around and deflected the tiny spears. "This thing's tough!"

"It's resistant to your electrical attacks," Twilight told him. "But I don't think it's immune. Keep blasting it and it might eventually reach its limit." Volt-Edge nodded and summoned more lightning, which he fired at the creature.

The peluda did its best to avoid the lightning, swinging its long neck around to avoid the lightning. It then started swimming towards the shore and pulled itself up onto the land, its flippers not being very useful but still strong enough to get it out of the water. As it did, Volt-Edge kept firing bolts at it and it replied by firing its quills.

Volt-Edge deflected them as best he could, but at one point he needed to backflip away from them. "Alright Nessy," he landed and started charging power. "Let's see how you like this." He built up as much power as he could, then had it all explode out of him towards the beast.

It struck the peluda and the monster screamed at the top of its lungs, making Volt-Edge smirk. But then, the monster stared firing its quills in every direction. Each of the quills were electrofied and they all gasped before Volt-Edge jumped in front of the girls and created an electrical forcefield. The wave struck the quills and the force managed to stop them in midair before they fell to the ground, Volt-Edge panting from overuse of his power.

And the beast didn't even seem hurt, as it shrugged off the lightning and began pulling itself further and further up the shore. "Oh geez. How the heck do I stop this thing." As he said that, a pair of engines made him look around to see two vehicles racing towards them.

A blur also shot forwards and as the peluda thrust its head down to try and take a bite out of Volt-Edge, Rainbow leapt up and threw a kick into the side of its head. The impact made the monster roar and pull away, Rainbow landing on the ground with a smirk.

"Alright!" He heard Sunset cry, seeing her and the rest of the Rainbooms running towards them. "Let's take care of this." The others all nodded and activated their Geodes, transforming them into their humanoid pony forms. The girls all grabbed each others hands and started channelling their magic together, allowing them all to float into the air.

The peluda glared at them and hissed, as it seemed like it was going to shoot the last of the quill on its body. But Volt-Edge saw this and knew he had to give the girls an opening, so rushed forward and built up as much power as he could before leaping at it.

The lightning exploded off his body and morphed him into an electric bullet, which slammed into the monster with enough force to knock it back as it was electrocuted. Volt-Edge held on tight as it roared, trying not to give it a moment to recover until the girls were finished powering up.

"Flash, now!" Sunset cried before the girls launched the rainbow of doom towards the peluda, Volt-Edge jumping off it seconds before it struck. He landed next to the shoreline as the laser caused the beast to scream and explode, the Equestrian Magic that created it dissipating.

The light from the rainbow died down and sure enough, the beast was gone.

The Rainbooms landed on the ground as Trixie rushed over to Volt-Edge, who was picking himself up and brushing himself off. "You okay?"

"Yeah," he nodded, "but that thing was strong. Way tougher than those gremlin things."

"Why do you think that was?" Shining asked the Rainbooms, hoping their knowledge of magic would give them some answers. They all frowned as they tried to think, with Twilight having a theory.

"It's possible the magic that created those gremlin things was divided into multiple bodies, so it wasn't as powerful. Or...it might be growing stronger."

"So every time it makes somethin, it'll be stronger than da'h last one?" Applejack asked, with Twilight shrugging unsure. They all frowned at this, but Sunset seemed to have her own theory.

"I think whatever's making these creatures is close to the river." The others looked confused by this, as Sunset explained. "The magic that's forming these creatures must not be able to travel far from the source before losing its power. Which means the source had to have been close to the river, or that thing would have been noticed a lot sooner." As she said that, the Omnitrix beeped and Flash returned to normal.

"Then let's comb the area near the river," he suggested. They all nodded in agreement and got back in their cars, Rainbow rushing off on her own. As they did, they hoped they could find the source of these creatures before it created something too big to handle.

Fleur had just had her lunch, which had caused her to take a break from reading her book.

But now that she had fed herself, she was ready to continue reading and returned to her room. Her book remained open on the last creature she read about, so she picked it up and moved back over to the window as she flipped the page.

When she did, she was greeted to the sight of a giant looking creature whose head was that of a lion, whilst its body was that of an ox with a spiked turtle shell on its back. It had six legs that looked like they belonged to a bear and a tail that appeared to be that of a scorpion, making it look incredible to her.

"The Tarrasque," she read allowed. And that was when it happened.

The book suddenly burst into light, making Fleur gasp and drop the book. As it hit the ground, the light exploded off of it and shot into the air. Fleur's eyes went wide and she stepped backwards, the girl having a feeling she knew what this was.

Outside, Rainbow was zipping around the streets looking for any sign of the magical creatures that were appearing.

She came to a stop and caught her breath, still a little winded after using her magic to blast the peluda. But as she rested, something caught her attention and see looked over at a building further down the street. That building was unleashing a bright light, which flew out a round window and shot down the street. Rainbow knew then she had found the source of her magic, but feared what it was gonna make.

The others were close by and saw the light fly into the air, the magic growing larger and brighter by the moment. "What now?" Trixie asked as Flash, Shining and Applejack pulled their vehicles to a stop. They watched as the light started taking shape, whilst Sunset's phone rang.

She didn't take her eyes off the light, as the answered the call.

The light grew until it was almost thirty meters tall and the shape it was forming was something terrifying to look at. And soon, something appeared within the light and completely filled it. "What...is that?" Applejack asked, as the lion-headed, turtle-backed, scorpion-tailed, six bear legged monstrosity appeared and let out a mighty roar that shook everything around it.

"It's a tarrasque!" Spike cried, surprising them. "What, it's one of those dragon creatures I told you about." As he said that, the beast started stomping away and knocked down several building as it did.

"We've gotta stop that thing!" Trixie cried.

"But Rainbow's found the magic," Sunset explained. "Rainbow's found it and if we don't stop it first, it could create something even more dangerous."

"What could be more dangerous than that?" Flash asked, as the tarrasque crushed a building just by pushing it with one of its bear paws.

"We'll split up," Shining stated. "Flash, Trixie and I will try and stop that thing. You girls stop the magic and then meet up with us if we can't stop it." They nodded and all rushed off in different directions, Shining once again activating his suit whilst Flash dialed in one of his aliens.

"Time to send this thing back to the zoo!" Flash slammed his watch down and transformed into Firefly, who blasted himself into the air whilst Shining created his hard-light vehicle and zoomed off. Trixie frowned, left to watch as everyone else got to do all the cool stuff...again.

Firefly shot through the air like a rocket, flying towards the tarrasque with fire in his eyes. But the beast seemed to hear him and turned towards the alien, letting out a mighty roar as it did. The roar was so powerful, it knocked Firefly backwards and required some serious maneuvering to regain control.

"Alright," Firefly told him, "you like to make noise. Let's see how loud you cry when I burn your mane off!" He pointed his arms at the creature and unleashed a blast of fire, which struck the tarrasque's head and pushed against its mane. But to the insect's surprise, the flames wouldn't catch. "Huh?" The tarrasque then swung its tail around to try and sting him, "wow!" He dived down to avoid it and shot more flames, but the tail appeared just as fireproof as its mane.

Shining drove up to the beast and took out his blaster weapon before firing it, hoping the laser would do more to the creature then Flash's flames. But the laser struck its centre bear legs and whilst the beast did some to feel it, it didn't cut into the flesh.

"WOW!" Shining had to stop firing and pull away, as the tarrasque tried to crush him under its foot. "Okay, clearly you didn't like that." But when he looked at the leg he hit, he didn't even see a singe. "You don't like it, but it's not enough to hurt you."

He looked up at Firefly, who continued to launch fire blast after fire blast in an attempt to hurt it. But nothing he did was anything more than an annoyance to the beast, Shining seeing he was beginning to tire himself out. And as he dodged another attempt by the tarrasque, he got an idea but one that would require him to talk to Flash.

But with him so high up, he probably wouldn't be able to hear him. "Ah, I really wish Flash's aliens came with a phone." But as if the badge was reading his mind, it suddenly brought something up on his visor's screen. "Communicator function?" He pressed the app and this caused two lists to come up. One was his own phone contact list and another was a plumber contact list, with only one number on this list. "I wonder..."

He selected that number and it started ringing.

Up above him, Firefly continued to launch flames until he heard a sound coming from the Omnitrix. "Already?" He asked, but realised it wasn't the time out sound. The green part of the dial was flashing blue. "What now?" He asked before touching it, causing the beeping and flashing to stop.

"Flash?" He hadn't been expecting that.

"Shining?"

"Yes, it worked. Looks like the Omnitrix has an inbuilt communicator we didn't know about. My badge is linking us up."

"Good to know. But I'm kind of in the middle of something here." He dodged another tail swipe, launching some fireballs towards it.

"I have an idea. You ever see that really old movie with the metal camels on the snow planet?" Firefly had and he knew exactly what Shining was getting at. So after avoiding another tail swipe, he dived down and shot towards the front legs. As soon as he was close enough, he spat out some silk and hit it just below the knee. He then fired his rockets and propelled himself forward before curing around.

This caused the thread to go tight and Firefly managed to circle around its other leg before making it back to the first. This made the tarrasque stop in place and look down to see its front feet get tied up, Firefly rocketing around him three more times to get the string wrapped up tight.

"Ha!" Firefly cut the rope and stuck the end of a leg before rocketing away, looking the beast right in the eyes. "How'd you like that. Come and get me, I dare you!" The tarrasque stared at him for a moment before doing something he and Shining hadn't been expecting.

The creature lifted both its front legs and continued moving forward, the pair's eyes going wide whilst its front legs pulled at the strings.

"You gotta be kidding me." Firefly launched a few more fireballs at it, but they had the same effect. It then roared at him, knocking him flying backwards before he could ignite his flames. He shot through the air and crashed through a building before slamming into the ground, where he ended up rolling down the street for several meters before finally stopping. "Ow."

He laid there for a moment to recover, as Shining raced into the street and headed towards him. "You alright?"

"I've been better," Firefly picked himself up as the tarrasque managed to rip his threading off its paws. "But I don't think you plan's gonna work." The Omnitrix beeped and in a flash, he reverted back to normal. "Aw man!" The tarrasque turned to glare at them and Shining grabbed Flash, pulling him onto his vehicle before racing off "Now what?"

"Now we hope Twilight and the others have found whatever's making this thing."

Back with the Rainbooms, they had driven over to Rainbow's location in Applejack's truck. They spotted Rainbow outside a building, with Fleur right next to her holding the book.

"Twilight," the Shadowbolt cried as she saw he former classmate. "I don't know what happened. Your friend said I've been creating monsters. Is that true?"

"Is that what you used to create that thing?" Twilight asked, pointing at the tarrasque.

"I don't know," she cried before opening it to the page on the creature that was stomping around the town. "I just read this out loud and the next thing I know, this book was blasting out light that turned into that thing." Twilight grabbed the book and flipped through it, finding the Loch Ness Hedgehog and tiny red demons on other pages. She was sure now, that whatever those things were came from this book.

As she did that, she noticed the book was starting to glow again. She dropped it on the ground as the Rainbooms stepped around it, forming a circle around the book. They all grabbed hands as their geodes activated, once again ponying them up. And as the book started to glow brighter, their power hit its peak and they fired the seven beams into the book.

The book was fighting against them, forcing the girls to put as much energy as they could into their magic and overpower it. Then, the rainbow finally managed to push the magic back into the book and surround it. The rainbow orb floated for a moment before completely consumbing the Equestrian Magic, causing a blinding flash of light.

When the light faded, the book fell to the ground and they could no longer sense any magic coming from it. They all sighed in relief, but another roar made them look around to see the tarrasque was still there.

"What happened?" Spike asked. "You got rid of the magic, so why is that thing still there?"

Sunset frowned, "the book might have created it, but once it was made the magic became completely independent somehow." She didn't that theory. Magic had never done anything like that before, so the fact this was happening could mean the magic in this world was changing.

"That's fine," Applejack told her. "We'll just blast it like we did the last one." But just as she said that, a sudden wave of exhaustion washed over them all. They all staggered back, almost falling over as they did so. "Wow. What happened?"

"We're tired," Rarity stated. "I don't know about the rest of you, but cleansing that book took a lot out of me."

"Me too," Fluttershy sighed.

"And me," Pinkie nodded. They all felt tired, since they had not only cleansed the book, but destroyed the sea monster and had been using their abilities non-stop all day. They were completely out of juice.

"This isn't good," Twilight gulped as her phone went off. She answered it and found it was Shining, wondering how he's calling when he should be in his plumber suit. "Shiny?"

"Twilight," Shining called out to her, "please tell me you've found what's causing this thing. Flash and I tried, but we just couldn't stop this thing."

"Yeah," Twilight gulped, "about that..."

"Seriously?" Shining asked once she explained, whilst Flash remained on the back of his bike.

"What's wrong?" Flash asked, as the tarrasque continued to march through the streets causing serious mayhem. Luckily, the area had been evacuated. But if they didn't stop this thing soon, it was gonna move on to another location and destroy it and whoever was in it.

The tarrasque raised its tail and slammed it into the ground, doing so causing a small earthquake that caused the bike to lose control. "WOW!" Shining cried, as they barely managed to keep upright. "We've gotta find a way to stop this thing or it's gonna level the entire city."

Flash agreed and was trying to think of which alien to use once the Omnitrix powered up.

"Riot-Horn?" He thought. "No, I don't even think him fully charged up could do any damage to that thing. And even if he could, he's way too slow. He'll get batted away before he could throw a single punch. Same problem with Diamondhead."

"Volt-Edge might not be any good either," Shining sighed. "You didn't do much against that water creature and since this thing is fireproof, it's probably electricity proof to."

Flash nodded. "Bushwhacker, Chamalien, Goop and Molestache wouldn't stand a chance against that thing. XLR8 and Vapaw could get in close without issue, but they wouldn't even be able to cut that thing." As he said that, Shining turned into a street and they saw Trixie running towards them.

"Guys!" She cried, "what's going on? Don't tell me the others haven't found what's causing this thing."

"They found it," Shining assured her. "And they took care of the Equestrian Magic. But for some reason, that thing's still around and the girls are too exhausted to stop it."

"That's not good," Trixie gulped as a beep made them see the Omnitrix turn green. "Great, go take that thing down."

"How?" Flash cried, "none of my aliens stand a chance against that thing. The ones that could probably do any damage are too slow to get in close and the ones that can get in close would be like mosquitoes to that thing. None of them have enough speed or power to beat it."

"Speed and power?" Trixie repeated, slowly thinking of all ten of Flash's aliens. But then, she remembered Flash didn't have ten aliens anymore. "Have you really considered all your aliens?" She asked, "even that...what did Spike call it? Lindwhirl?"

"The lindworm?" Shining asked, as the tarrasque suddenly sneezed and broke every pain of glass in a building next to it. "Hey," Shining turned to Flash, "she might be onto something."

"You want me to turn into that thing again?" Flash asked, "it's totally useless."

"Are you kidding?" Trixie asked, "remember what Twilight said. It's super durable and when it picks up speed, practically nothing could stop it. It's perfect."

"But I couldn't control it," Flash told her. "Besides, I'm not even sure I could use it if I wanted to. What if it was just a one time thing." The tarrasque was getting closer and Shining revved up his vehicle.

"It's worth a try," he told Flash. "And if you still can't beat that thing, there'll be nothing to be ashamed of. But doing nothing is even worse than doing something that's useless. With that, he drove off as fast as he could towards the creature. As he drove, he looked through all his possible weapon choices to try and see if there was anything with enough power to hurt it.

Then, he noticed one section filed as 'heavy duty', which he had a feeling would give him something big.

So he quickly changed direction and shot straight up the side of a building, loving that his vehicle could actually do that. Once the vehicle shot off the edge, he deactivated it and landed on the roof. He then held out his weapon, selecting the most powerful one he could find.

In a flash of light, the weapon transformed into a giant bazooka-like device. One so large it needed its own legs to keep from crushing Shining. The plumber panted as he raised the weapon and pointed it at the tarrasque. As he prepared to fire, his helmet showed a warning that firing it would deplete all his weapon's power.

"This better work." He got the beast in his crosshairs and pulled the trigger, the bazooka firing a massive blast of energy. The blast roceted across the city towards the tarrasque, who turned to see it second before it collided with its head.

The city rocked from the large explosion that flew off the tarrasque's head. The beast roared in pair and Shining smirked at the sight, though his weapon returned to its base form and would need three hours to charge back up. Hopefully, this would be worth it.

But when the smoke cleared, the tarrasque was still standing. "What? No way!" The beast wasn't unharmed by the attack. The explosion had destroyed half its face and blinded it in one eye. But it could still stand and turned to glare at Shining.

The plumber gulped at the angry look in its eyes and turned to run, taking out his vehicle and selecting a powered hang glider form it had. He leapt into the air and activated the vehicle, allowing him to take to the air and fly away. But as he did, the tarrasque swung its tail around and smashed a building.

This sent rubble flying everywhere in Shining's direction, the plumber blinking as he tried his best to avoid the debris. He managed this for a few seconds, but one rock struck his glider's rocket and caused it to lose power. Then another one hit the wing and caused it to bend, sending him falling off course.

He cried out as he fell, about to crash into the ground. But before he could, he suddenly started glowing purple and stopped. "Wow." He looked around, wondering what had happened until Twilight and her friends ran into the scene.

"Shiny!" She cried, dropping him carefully onto the ground. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Shining deactivated his glider. "But I don't think I'm gonna be much more help right now." They turned to the tarrasque, as it continued to stomp around.

"I can't believe that big explosion did so little" Rainbow groaned.

"Is there any way to stop that thing now?" Fluttershy asked.

"Only one," Shining sighed. "And I hope Flash can figure it out."

Flash had seen Shining go down and worried he was hurt, having had enough of this thing.

But when he activated the watch and found the silhouette he was looking for, he hesitated before turning to Trixie. "You really think I can use this thing?" Trixie turned to him and smiled.

"It doesn't matter what I think. What matters is what you think. If you don't think you can use it to stop that thing, then you can't. But you know this is your best shot at doing it, don't you."

Flash took a deep breath, thinking about what he was able to do as this alien. He nodded and raised his hand up, "here goes nothing." He slammed the watch down and in a flash, he was once again the strange hybrid serpent alien. Looking himself over, he smirked. "I did it!" But then the tarrasque shook the ground and cause him to fall on his back. "Now what?"

"I don't know," Trixie frowned as the creature swung its tail around and slashed its way through a building. "Roll." Flash took a deep breath and swung his tail around, biting down on it and rolling backwards until he was right side up before stopping and rolling forwards.

This allowed him to pick up speed and he shot towards the tarrasque, actually managing to have some level of control. He spun as fast as he could, the creature appearing to sense his approach and turning towards it. The beast then roared before it rose its foot to try and step on him.

But Flash had an idea and released his tail, using it as a spring to leapt into the air. He then curled himself up and spun in midair, slamming into the paw as hard as he could. This allowed him to grind against the paw and make the creature roar our as he cut into its flesh. His steel hard fur was like sandpaper to it, making the beast pull its leg back as Flash fell.

He landed on the ground, his tail managing to curl up and absorb most of the impact. Flash then leapt backwards and grabbed his tail to return to his wheel form, hitting the ground spinning and finding the more he did it, the more control he had over his movements.

Trixie also saw this and cheered as Flash managed to perfectly turn whilst spinning and head towards her, then stop right next to her by using his claws to slow himself down. "That was awesome!" She told him, "you're like a buzzsaw."

"Yeah," Flash looked himself over, "guess this thing's not so useless after all." They looked up at the tarrasque, who was now limping along due to one of its feet being hurt. It swung its tail around, slamming into several buildings and make many people still in the area scream.

Luckily, a blue blur began to shoot around the place and pull the people to safety. That blur was soon followed by the rest of her friends, the Rainbooms seeing Flash was his new alien. "Flash," Twilight cried, "what are you doing in that form?"

"Kicking butt!" Flash smirked before he leapt forward and curled into his wheel form. He shot towards the beast as it noticed his approach and swung its tail at him. But this time, Flash leapt into the air and managed to grab the tail. He spun around it as it smashed into the ground, then dug his claws into it and actually cut into the tail.

This made the beast roar and fling its tail into the air, Flash managing to hold on until it reached the top of its swing. He then let go and flew down the tail, curling up and using it as a ramp to build up speed before smashing into the spiked shell and creating a large grove inside of it.

"No way," Rainbow whispered. The lot of them now had a lot more respect for his new alien, whilst Flash leapt up and grabbed onto a spike. The tarrasque roared again and tried to crush him by flattening him between the shell and a building, the others gasping. However, Flash had seen this coming and leapt off the shell. He smashed through a building's window and rolled up, smashing through the walls in order to outrun the shell.

When the shell stopped following him, he spun around as the tarrasque pulled away. He then leapt out of another window, having built up enough speed to go flying towards the beast's face. The tarrasque saw this, but couldn't react in time to stop Flash before he slammed into its one remaining eye.

It roared in agony, as it was completely blinded and Flash leapt away. He grabbed onto its mane, the chimera alien pulling himself up the hair. The tarrasque tried to pull him off, clawing at him with its bear claws, but not being able to get him before he reached the top of its head.

The beast swung its head around, trying to dislodge him with little success. It then charged forward, unaway that another large building was right in front of it. But right as it was about to, Flash swung around of its mane hair and slammed his tail into its head before extending it. This propelled him up into the air, right before the tarrasque smashed into the building.

He shot over the roof and curled himself up, rolling forwards as he did so. The building exploded and sent debris flying everywhere, Flash slamming into these pieces of rubble and using them to slow himself down until he reached the ground. He rolled long it and created a small trench before jumping into the air, landing and skidding to a stop before spinning back towards the tarrasque.

The beast appeared dazed from the sudden impact, but it still didn't look ready to go pop. "It's still too tough," he growled as the others rushed into this area and watched them stare one another down. "If I wanna take it out before I run out of time, I've gotta hit it where it isn't so well defended." He knew where that was, but the idea of doing it didn't sit well with him. "Time to suck it up!" He charged forward and picked up as much speed as he could before leaping up and curling into the wheel.

The others saw this and knew he was going to do something, but the tarrasque raised its claw to attack as well. But it didn't reach him, as Twilight's magic wrapped around the limb and held it in place. The girl grunted as she struggles to keep it in place, but couldn't grab the other front claw as it lifted up to attack. However, when it swung towards him, a large wall of Rarity's shields appeared and blocked it. Rarity also grunted as she did her best to keep the shields up long enough.

"Go Flash!" Trixie cried, "whatever you're gonna do, do it now!"

"FLASH!" Shining and the rest of the girls yelled, as the tarrasque let out a roar. And that was exactly what Flash wanted, as he sprung into the air and shot straight towards it.

"Here comes the birdy!" He roared before disappearing into the beast's mouth, shocking his friends as the tarrasque suddenly swallowed.

Twilight and Rarity dropped their magic, as they watched the tarrasque stand there. Clearly, it thought the enemy was finished and it began to continue its rampage. But before it could, it suddenly clutched its chest as a sick look appeared on its face. It then roared in pain, as it felt a terrible tearing in its insides.

"What's happening?" Fluttershy asked, as the creature stomped around in agony. Shining then smirked.

"Hazard a guess, it ate something that didn't agree with it." Suddenly, the tarrasque lost its balance and fell to the ground. It rolled onto its back and clutched its stomach, roaring more and more with every shot of pain that occurred. And eventually, its stomach exploded as something shot out of it.

They all gasped seeing the slime covered wheel shoot into the air and crash through a billboard before slamming into the ground, forming a trench as it slid to a stop. As they rushed towards it, they saw the tarrasque begin to turn into specks of light like the rest of the monsters. It vanished, leaving a large trail of destruction in its wake.

Meanwhile, they reached the crater and found the lindworm alien pulling himself out of a puddle of the beast's insides. "Flash!" Twilight looked worried, "are you okay?"

Flash groaned as he tried to brush the slime off of him, "I will be after about twenty showers." The others laughed at this, whilst the last of the beast disappeared. "Did I get it?"

"Oh yeah," Shining nodded. "You got it alright." Flash sighed in relief before looking himself over.

"Alright, this alien's good. In fact, it's freaking awesome." The others smiled at this, as the Omnitrix beeped. Flash was almost sad to see his new hero go, as he disappeared in a flash of light and reverted back to human. He was still covered in slime and the others all took a step back when he tried to get closer. "What?" He tried to move closer and they all stepped away, "what?"

"You're not coming anywhere near us covered in that," Trixie told him as Rarity put up a shield.

"Oh don't be such babies," Flash told them before smirking. He then scooped some up and threw it into the air over Rarity's shield, making them all cry out as it fell to the floor and went splat. They all gave Flash a death glare as he scooped up some more and prepared to throw it, the lot of them turning to run as he did so. The ten of them all broke out into laughter, as they ran away from Flash whilst he threw slimeball after slimeball at them.

It had certainly been a trying day for them all, with many unexpected twists and turns. A new alien, monster invasions and a freaking kaiju attack were sure to make it a day none of them would forget. And Flash would certainly not forget the lesson he had learned, that every creature in the universe had something that made them special. And if Flash ever got himself another new alien, he wouldn't be so quick to judge it.
