//------------------------------// // The Perfect Wielder for the Master Bolt! A new Rift Approaches // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Pegalysium. Pegalysium Capital. The Pokemon Festival. Afternoon. Over at Pegalysium, a massive container of Dynasite was being pulled. And within it was the Master Bolt. A gigantic Thunderbolt that required this large Dynasite Container to withstand its absurd power. Thankfully, while Dynasite itself was absurdly durable, it wasn't too heavy for it to be an issue. The container was being dragged along by the guards with the Rocketship waiting for the object to be delivered. But of course, this had to be a secret delivery. Right now, the Rocketship was placed behind the castle for one reason. This mighty weapon could alert the eyes of the Indigo Union. More specifically, Second Wind. The case was being pushed sideways due to its absurd length. But even when it eventually enters the ship, the weapon inside was highly volatile. There was a reason it was kept in one room for so long. "Make sure nopony from the Indigo Union is watching," Paramount said to his guards. "And be careful. We kept the weapon in that room just for its fragility." "How fragile exactly?" Jackie asked while helping the guards get the weapon inside. "It's a mass of electricity so it can't be that fragile." "Oh but it is. This transparent Dynasite is the only thing keeping it controlled. Should something erratic happen with it, well...you already know what could happen." Luminary added. "Gotcha. But how are gonna hold one of those bolts? That's what I'm still wondering about. Unless one of us isn't afraid of being zapped." Jackie replied. "Lightning bolts are said to be 5 times hotter than the surface of the Sun when unleashed. This entire lightning bolt is far beyond the heat of the sun if it were to ever be used in one. Even so, using our magic on it is just as fragile." Luminary answered, continuing to reveal more about this overwhelming weapon. "Goodness...The more I talk about it, the more terrifying it appears to be. How did your family manage to keep this thing hidden for so long, dear?" "A titanic drive of restraint. My family swore to never use the many forces that the Destiny Pegasi left behind. Only when necessary. We never used the Reanimate Tears, even if the child within me wanted to use it on my parents. And we certainly didn't plan on using the Clock Door until Second Wind's second invasion. These forces are highly tempting, so, it helps that my family lineage always had a strong sense of restraint." "Lucky. I can't say the same about my family." Luminary chuckled. "Before I met you, dear, I was just a village girl, scooping up as many valuable items as I could. It helped though. Made me eligible to get into school and pay for my family." "You were terrifyingly eager with so many things." Paramount closed his eyes before shuddering in fear. "It's hard to forget what impact you've left over the years." "Anyway, about the lightning bolt. Who's gonna be the one to hurl 'em? Not sure the Ranger Union has any gloves that can withstand that." Jackie asked. "Oh! I got it!" That's when it hit Applejack. It was so obvious. Everyone else would put themselves at risk by interacting with the bolt. And they knew it, just from what was described by it and the sheer size of it. Even someone with great heaps of magic such as Paramount and Luminary had to be cautious. But Applejack knew one individual, or rather two individuals, who could hold them without any issues whatsoever. She had the numbers for it. "Golett can hold 'em. All 10 of the little fellas." Applejack suggested that her Golett should hold them. "Golett? Those small automatons?" Luminary pictured the Golett, remembering their minuscule appearance. "Oh, sorry, Applejack. But I think they're too small to hold such a powerful weapon. It's too dangerous." "No, no. She's got a point." Jackie saw the advantage before anyone else. "Queen Luminary. Golett will be fine. You see, since it's a Ground-Type, all manner of electricity isn't a problem for it. Totally immune with nothing to fear." "Completely immune?!" Luminary gasped. "I thought that whole immunity thing from the Pokedex was a bluff...something like that exists?" "They'll be fine." Applejack hopped back into the ship once the weapon was finally inside. Everyone made way for this behemoth of a weapon as the ship was already feeling a slight weight increase. "When we get to that tower, count on Golett throwing those bolts without needing to worry about a thing." "Can they breathe in space?" Paramount asked the vital question. This would be pointless if Golett couldn't breathe in space. "On top of being immune to electricity, Golett's artificial. It doesn't have to worry about breathing in space since it's similar to a robot. Plus it's also a Ghost, so there's that." Jackie added. It was only fair that he revealed more about Golett since information about the Master Bolt had been revealed. "My little Goletts are just something special, ain't they?" Applejack felt like a proud mother, hearing the many advantages that the Golett possessed. "Now that we've got that figured out, let's get back up there already." The time for talking was over. The ship had closed but with very few ponies to see it close. The ship was cleverly placed at the back end of the castle, masked by a flurry of clouds. This helped to conceal the Master Bolt and the Dynasite Container, safely bringing it aboard. Of course, bringing the Master Bolt would also require stealth. It was off to outer space once more. And this time, with a powerful weapon to try and pierce through that cosmic veil. And the wielders would surprisingly be the miniature Golett. Whichever one of the 10 Golett it may be. Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. "So. What now, Hilbert?" The Rift was currently at a standstill with Hilbert. Or rather, it placed Hilbert in a position where he and his Hydreigon had to stand still. Right now, in both of the Rift's hands, it had Meloetta and Hoopa. "What's stopping Hydreigon and me from charging at you and grabbing them?" Hilbert replied, holding two Poke Balls out. "Good point. And then there is the rest of your Pokemon to worry about. But...it's a good thing these strings for Meloetta serve another purpose!" Galaxy Master then used Meloetta via the cosmic strings that were on her. She truly was a puppet as her body was manipulated by just the flick of Galaxy Master's fingers. And by controlling her, Meloetta's vocal cords went active yet again. This time, instead of a quiet and sombre sound, Galaxy Master made it so that her singing was destructive. Though his mighty Dragonite had fainted, he was not out of options at all. The soundwave from Meloetta shook the room with the force of an earthquake, attacking Hilbert and Hydreigon's ears. "Geeez...!" Hilbert closed his ears as the soundwave was even strong enough to bring a gust of wind. Hydreigon's ears weren't as visible but he was certainly being pushed back by this. "Hydrei!" "Did you really think the defeat of my Dragonite was all that was necessary?! I wasn't even trying to waste so much time with you! But thanks to your meddling, I'm forced to stick around your vicinity yet again, Hilbert!" "Heh! When you're number one, everyone's gotta be around you!" As always, Hilbert looked confident and cocky even when his eardrums were being attacked. "Enough with that number one talk!" Agitated, Galaxy Master amped the sound of Meloetta's singing even further. This level of singing started cracking the walls themselves. And right above Hilbert and Hydreigon, the ceiling came falling apart too. This involved the floor as the Rift truly didn't want Hilbert to be around its vicinity any longer. With the floor giving out, Hilbert would head to the lower levels while Hydreigon would handle the falling rubble. Some of it already struck the Brutal Pokemon's heads. "This won't stop us!" Hilbert cried out before struggling to keep his balance. Hydreigon quickly rushed to his side, knowing Hilbert would suffer severe damage from this height. These long hallways also meant long heights as well. He smashed aside the rubble with his arms, approaching Hilbert once he went to the lower levels. "But it will give me time!" Galaxy Master focused on fleeing rather than further engaging with Hilbert. This gave him time to flee while still having Meloetta and Hoopa in his grasp. Charging through the falling rubble, Hydreigon grabbed Hilbert's hood with his fangs, saving him. But he only managed to save him momentarily. There was still the remaining rubble to get through as Galaxy Master used this opportunity to run while the abundance of rubble masked his figure. "You won't get away from us!" Hilbert exclaimed. "Hydreigon! Dragon Rush!" "Hydrei...!" Hydreigon cloaked himself in a flare of draconic energy before then taking a few rubbles to the face. All three faces and even in his eyes. But that wouldn't stop him as the best way to get out of all the rubble was to perform a full-force charge. Hydreigon did just that while also carrying Hilbert, moving at his best speed. "Gon!" "Oh! Woaaaah!" Hilbert screamed as Dragon Rush blew away all the falling rubble as if it was a domino effect. Any rubble that came close would be engulfed and scorched by Hydreigon's energy. Once all the crashing rubble from above and below came to an end, Hydreigon successfully save Hilbert from any more harm within this vicinity. Hydreigon suffered mild damage from all of that. Rubble wasn't enough to stop this Dragon-Type at all. Even with the previous fierce battle he had with Dragonite, he was still active and raring to find the Rift. "Nice work, Hydreigon..." Hilbert adjusted his hat once he was out of that mess. "Now, let's keep going. He couldn't have gotten far!" "Hydreigon!" Placing Hilbert on his back, Hydreigon began the hunt for Galaxy Master. Having such a terrifying Pokemon hunt someone down would be intimidating in every way, but for the Rift, it was already being hunted by a few individuals just to put an end to this conflict. As for the Rift, once Hilbert and Hydreigon entered the next room, the Rift was already hidden at this point. The doors closed as secretly, it used its power to cloak its entire body, including Hoopa and Meloetta's body, blending it in with the walls to make them look flat. It was successful as Hilbert and Hydreigon had no clue at all. Once they were gone, the Rift could continue on its way. "That was close...any more and I could've been stuck with him for hours...That Hilbert talks a big game but he can truly back it up." "Meloetta..." Meloetta groaned while unconscious. Eventually, she would wake up. "Don't worry, Meloetta. You'll reunite with Ash soon enough. As soon as I find him and decide what to do with Hoopa over-" But before Galaxy Master could finish his sentence, his body trembled. Or rather, the Rift trembled, emanating cosmic waves that were wobbly and slow. "Ngh!" Something was wrong. This is what the Rift feared. Hours have gone by now. And with a majority of its power still missing, the drawbacks were rearing their ugly heads. "I haven't recovered in a while. The best I did was take some energy from Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia. If I keep this up, I may not be able to control this body forever...then my opportunity to take revenge will be gone until next time. No. I have to do something..." The Rift refused to lose power here and now. Just when it was winning at the start, now the tables were starting to turn. All thanks to Hilbert and a few other powerful trainers who kept the Rift occupied. But, the Rift didn't lose hope. It glanced over at one other Pokemon it held in its hands. Hoopa. "Of course...You're the answer to my problems." The Rift quietly chuckled, finally deciding what to do with Hoopa. "I wonder if I can utilize the full extent of your power. Let's see if that's the case." "Ash!" Running into Ash, at last, was Cynthia. She had been searching for him for a while now. And finally, the Sinnoh Champion managed to encounter the Alola Champion. She found them carrying other ponies and Pokemon who had been knocked unconscious. Dragonite and Audino were also carrying them for being the biggest Pokemon that could alongside the slightly smaller but still big, Ninetales. "Oh, finally. I found you." "Cynthia! Is everything okay?!" Ash asked as his group have been moving around just as much as everyone else in this tower. Whether it was fleeing or searching. "I am. I can say the same to all of you. You're all still healthy without any scratches on you at all." Cynthia noticed how Ash's group looked completely fine with not a single scratch or tatter. "I assume you all know what's going on?" "It's the Rift, isn't it? It has to be." Twilight replied. "All that stardust that leaves the Pokemon when they're defeated and the fact that so many of them are showing up just to attack us." "You're right. But right now, I'm afraid the Rift is within the body of Galaxy Master. It's launched an attack on everyone here...but it's mainly after you, Ash. It's here for revenge." "It picked now of all times to take revenge on Ash? I would've thought the Rift would plan it longer," said Twilight. "It's here for me? In Galaxy Master's body?" Ash answered before looking down. "The Rift has already encountered many trainers by now, gradually trying to find you. We've all been doing our best against the Rift and its Pokemon. But it won't stop unless you're found." "Then...should we head elsewhere?" Fluttershy asked. "Maybe being in here isn't safe at all. All this noise makes it feel like it could come crashing down." "I'm afraid that won't be possible at the moment." Cynthia shook her head as she had to reveal the shocking truth to Fluttershy and the others. "We can't leave since we're in Outer Space." "Outer Space?!" Fluttershy and the Pokemon all blurted out. Anyone who was unaware of their current location would reasonably shout out the location once it's been revealed. And there was no location as stunning as the vast expanse of Outer Space. "Amazing!" Twilight had a different reaction compared to Fluttershy and the Pokemon. She loved this. Space was right up her alley, even during this event. "We can't leave. Not with a gigantic Rift Veil covering the place. Our main bet is to defeat the Rift and remove that veil. Of course...getting back to Earth is a top priority as well if we can." Cynthia continued. "Ash. Your Aura is large enough to potentially do so." "..." Ash stayed silent, still keeping his head down. He didn't even have a big reaction when Cynthia mentioned outer space. "Ash?" Cynthia called for his name, wondering why he wasn't responding. "What's wrong?" "Sorry. But...before that, there's something I gotta do. I'll meet with the Rift and I'll force it out of Galaxy Master's body no doubt." Ash spoke. "But I also gotta apologize." "Apologize? For what?" Twilight wondered. "Cynthia. Where's the Rift?" Ash immediately asked for the Rift's location. "Not sure. It could be anywhere. I suppose the best thing to do is keep moving until you find it. As for me, I need to get everyone healed up at once. You already have some unconscious ponies and Pokemon with you. Bring them with me. There's one room here that hasn't been trashed yet." "I'll help!" Fluttershy raised her hoof. "In fact, I'll start a small healing spot just for everyone else. Audi's getting tired of carrying everyone else. Not sure about Dragonite though." "Thank you, Fluttershy. Ash. If you're going directly to the Rift, be careful with how you expend your Aura. We still need to get rid of this veil and find a way back down. The only way that could work is we either free Galaxy Master from the Rift or have Hoopa help. Wherever he may be." "I got it, Cynthia. Leave it to me. We'll close this story off for good. Right, buddy?" "Pikachu!" "You said you wanted to apologize. Why's that, Ash?" Twilight asked. "The Rift's taking revenge on me for what happened back in that dimension at Holon. It's only because of how I spread my Aura and messed it up for so long. It already wanted to take revenge a few months later with Sombra warning me about incoming danger." Ash explained. "Truth is, I'm not keeping my word that way." "Your word?" Twilight wondered before then clicking to what it might be. It made so much sense as to why Ash would suddenly feel like apologising. And she knew exactly what he wanted to apologize for. "Let's keep in touch with each, Cynthia. Fluttershy. Audino. If you wanna find us again, I'll have Pikachu let out a signature cry to alert you." "Mmm. We'll make sure that sound doesn't miss us." Fluttershy used her wings to give a thumbs-up, guaranteeing her promise to Ash. "Audino!" "Time to go!" Ash and Pikachu went ahead. Ninetales and Dragonite entrusted the safety of the other ponies and Pokemon to Cynthia's group. It was off to the Rift. But while all of this was going on inside the tower, something else was approaching. It wasn't just the Rocketship, here to save everyone. Not at all. The cracks in space left behind by Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia were still there, leading to that other dimension where the Cosmic Wall was resting. It wasn't like the cracks in space could just heal themselves after all. But because of this visible crack, something else was starting to emerge. At the same time, the Rocketship was heading this way with the Master Bolt. Already, Applejack had 10 of her Golett out and ready to utilize their Type Advantage to the fullest. "Alright, ya'll. Here's what we're gonna do. You're gonna grab some of those bolts right over there and launch em at that veil. As long as that thing's up, our friends are trapped." Applejack instructed her 10 Golett. "Golett!" "Your little workers can do it. I believe in you." Luminary said before gushing at the Golett. "Um...but be careful. You may be immune but the weapon should be held with care. Only the giants could carefully wield these bolts but they still needed protection to do so. You aren't quite their size." "They're my little giants." Applejack patted one of the Golett on the head. "And they'll pull it off. Just gotta get the right range." "Once that veil breaks, we're finding the entrance. Leaving a hole in the tower isn't the best idea. Applejack. You know where it is, right?" Chrysalis questioned. "Sure do. We've been only facing the back this entire time. Let's go for the front. Once we get there, there'll be a lot of rooms and hallways to choose from. Just follow the trail of destruction though. That'll be easy." "You should also use small portions of the bolt. The fact that their amazing power is about to be unleashed now means that we must use them with absolute care." Paramount ordered. "I suggest three or four." "And if four bolts don't work?" Jackie asked. "What then?" "We will have to increase the number. But not by much. I trust in the bolts and their stupendous power to break the veil. They're just that powerful. Ten bolts might put your friends at risk if you plan to have every Golett throw some." But just as they were having a conversation about breaking the veil with the Master Bolt, the cracks in space started expanding. Jackie had already seen this when going to save Applejack but there was not much he could do about it except report it to the Ranger Union. Once those cracks expanded, everyone then heard a roar. A bone-chilling yet familiar roar passed out of the crack, loud enough to even go through space for many to hear. Synchronized gasps came from everyone as Applejack already knew what this meant after witnessing Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkiaemerge from it. Someone new was coming through those walls. A black and red shockwave in the air and what sounds like a background choir mark the coming of someone otherworldly. These shockwaves then became bursts of energy. Not light, but something darker yet just as powerful as light. After shooting out of the crack in space like a comet, a terrifying but also gorgeous being with piercing red eyes hovered in space, taking on a familiar form. It filled Applejack and everyone with an immense sense of awe once those eyes flashed in the dark expanse of space. This form resembled that of a certain Dragon but with new additions. Made up of Arceus' Power and the Rift's Power. Radiant wings of dripping light cast a shimmering light on the cosmos. The figure of this entity was four-legged, greatly resembling that of Giratina. In fact, the face and the wings even looked like Giratina's wings. Two large orbs were next to this entity, floating constantly as Applejack's fear came true. It was exactly what she expected. All of that energy was Anti-matter. The one thing associated with Giratina. And now there was another one that possessed Anti-Matter, appearing to this world. Rift-Giratina was here. As the journey continues. Chapter 917 End.
