//------------------------------// // Hilbert vs The Rift // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. "It stopped.." Cynthia, who was on the verge of falling asleep thanks to a melodic sound, was active and awake. The same couldn't be said for Sci-Twi, Spike and Alpha Pikachu, who were knocked out by that song. The source of it was originally from Meloetta, forced to sing it by the Rift. However, due t the interruption of Rainbow Dash's Altaria, the song had been upstaged. Cynthia was lucky to be barely awake during that moment. "Pikachu..." Pikachu grumbled in his sleep, completely out of commission. Even the sound of Altaria's Hyper Voice was unable to wake them up. Once Meloetta's beautiful song comes through, not much can wake the victims up. "This is getting harder by the minute." Cynthia then picked up Sci-Twi, giving the sleeping trainer a piggyback ride. Then there was the issue of picking up Arcanine, Pikachu and Spike. To make this easier on her, Roserade, Togekiss and Kommo-o were sent out. Cynthia wised to engage in fewer battles with her Pokemon from now on until this is all resolved, however, at this point, that might not be the case. With Togekiss, Roserade and Kommo-o carrying the rest of them, any opponent they come across would put the lives of Sci-Twi and the others in danger. She couldn't have Arcanine find Ash with his scent anymore since he was also asleep, so as it stands now, Cynthia was going in blind. During her venture, Cynthia passed by different rooms that each seemed to have bedrooms, similar to that of the Leisure Room. If only she found them earlier. However, around the corner on this higher part of the tower, there was one room that was still in one piece. Cynthia quickly entered this room which had only one bed there. Untouched and still tidy. It was the perfect place to stop, even if she was currently on the move and in search of her friends. Cynthia felt that even if she were to leave Twilight here, the risk of the Rift and any of its allies could get to her. But luckily, that's where her teammates came in. Cynthia, Roserade, Kommo-o and Togekiss placed each of them down, making sure to cover them with bed sheets. She could count on them but there were others she could count on to protect each of them. And they weren't her own Pokemon. She dug into Sci-Twi's bag, taking out the Poke Balls she possessed. Cynthia wanted full-force protection so the best way to do so was to have Sci-Twi's own Pokemon protect her. Cynthia summoned each of them as out came Luxio, Munchlax, Rapidash and Heracross. "I need you all to also take care of them," Cynthia said to them all. "I know you'll do your best. As for me, I have to get going. My top priority is finding Ash and getting rid of this veil. If we can at least get rid of it, then we can have Hoopa free us." "You won't leave me alone, right?" Just then, a voice came from somewhere. Cynthia looked back at Sci-Twi's bag before noticing a head pop out. This head belonged to Hisuian Zorua, who was still awake. "Zorua! You're awake? I would've thought you fell asleep as well. Seems like you have great resistance just like me." Cynthia kneeled to face her. "Or is it something else?" "That kind of music was too familiar to me. I've heard it before. It's something a Mismagius uses to lure others in. I fell for it once." Hisuian Zorua responded, revealing his reasoning for being awake. It was a moment from the far past. "But...you're leaving now?" "I can't stay behind and protect you all. Not with everything happening in the tower. You will have to protect Twilight as well, okay? Can you do that?" "I can." Zorua nodded in response. "I won't like it though..." "Don't worry. Roserade and everyone else will keep you safe as well. Now, good luck and protect them with all you have." Cynthia gave her parting words before then rushing off with only two Pokemon left in her party. The rest of them would stay behind. For Cynthia, if she ran into Galaxy Master, she would immediately choose to flee instead of engaging. Only Ash was on her mind. If she could find him, then an advantage could be made. "Just wait, Ash. I'll find you." Johto. Violet City. The Pokemon Festival. Afternoon. Violet City. The City of Nostalgic Scents. Located in Central Johto, this old village is still surrounded by trees and other scenery. Here at Violet City, the older Flurry Heart was present there. But at the moment, she wasn't enjoying the festival. Not with what she recently heard. "That's all happening in space?!" The young princess from another universe soon found out about the predicament happening up in the stars. From the Galaxy Tower, Galaxy Master, the Rift and so on. However, good news came her way. It was already a given that her Great Aunt Celestia and Luna along with everyone else on board wouldn't allow themselves to perish up there so easily. Help was already heading to the stars in the form of four groups. A Pokemon Ranger, Canterlot Guards, Changeling Guards plus Queen Chrysalis and Pegalysium's rulers were chiming in. "That's all too familiar to me." Indeed. Due to what she previously experienced prior to appearing here many months ago, Flurry Heart was already familiar with space thanks to her auntie Empress Twilight. "So, as you can see, we need ways to enter into space." A Canterlot Guard explained. "Some have already taken that ship to the stars. The rest of our guards should've told Reshiram by now and some are searching for Zekrom. We believe one other Pokemon that can travel into space is your Giratina." "Giratina, huh?" Flurry Heart held out Giratina's Pokemon, glancing at it with absolute silence filling the atmosphere seconds later. "Hmm...Yeah. Giratina does come from space, doesn't it? Plus it's a Legendary. Which way is the tower located? In space, I mean." "The exact destination isn't too clear but it should be visible if we simply arrived at space or even be near Pegalysium. But we recommend that only Giratina goes. You can't breathe in space either." "I can breathe in space." "YOU CAN?!" The guards each pulled back with absolute shock in their voices. Flurry Heart dropped such a stunning answer that was also simple at the same time. "Well, not normally. But when I was with Great Auntie, since she was so focused on conquering so many worlds, every moment involved space. She didn't take any chances so she found herself a spell from another universe that allowed her to breathe in space. A lot of her army were taught this. Ya know...in case something goes wrong inside of the ships. Plus they've got that armour to protect them from suffocating. And guess who's also got the same spell~!" She grinned. "Oh...well...That works too. Please, get yourself ready, princess." "I'm already ready! Let's do this, Giratina!" Wasting no time, Flurry Heart summoned Giratina into the fray. The Renegade Pokemon was unleashed into Violet City for many to see. Eyes bulged out, jaws dropped once Giratina was casually sent out. Flurry Heart didn't care too much for secrecy. She let Giratina out as if it was normal. The guards had no qualms with it. After all, this was one of Celestia's many wishes. A world where it didn't matter who someone was. Princess, Legendary, Champion, etc. They were all equal. Flurry Heart, ready to meet with her friends and family, hopped onto the Renegade Pokemon's back. Of course, she couldn't just reach space in this world. It was back home. "If you all need to breathe in space, you can count on me. I can cast it on others." Flurry Heart revealed that she could even cast this spell on others. Not just herself. There was no need to worry about breathing in space with both Flurry Heart and Giratina active. The guards even had the opportunity to get on Giratina's back just for this moment. It was back home and into the cosmos. The only thing they had to worry about was time itself. Would they be too late to help out? There was a chance that the tower could perish due to all the battles happening above. And if it does, two horrible endings could come from it. Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. Hilbert challenged Galaxy Master AKA the Rift after making his great appearance. Galaxy Master and his Dragonite were facing off against Hilbert and his Hydreigon. Elsewhere in the next room, it was Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo against Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia. Vowing to end this, Hilbert boasted as always, taking a big game without even slowing down for a bit, showing just how determined he was. "You and the Red are the closest to Ash now that I think about it..." The Rift said. "Both of you are substantial threats. But I doubt you have access to the same pool of Aura as Ash." "Bah! Who needs Aura when you're totally unstoppable like yours truly?" Hilbert grinned. "I'll beat you without Aura. That's a fact!" "You underestimate how useful Aura can be, Hilbert. For the theming of your world, I'll make you see nothing but black after this battle and you'll white out just like Hilda! Dragonite! Crush him with Dragon Claw!" "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say! Hydreigon! Dragon Pulse, let's go!" "Hy...Drei...Gon!" Out of all three Hydreigon's mouths, three beams of draconic energy, shaped like dragons were shot out. This would force Dragonite to try and close the gap. "Drago! Dragonite!" Dragonite swung his claws at the three pulses, but only managed to hit two of them with his claws. The third one struck his chest thanks to the slight numerical advantage. "D-Dra!" Struck by the third Dragon Pulse, Dragonite was forced back. "Use Stone Edge, Dragonite! Now!" "D-Dragonite!" Dragonite would shrug it off to keep powering through. It's what he did best as from his body, multiple crystals orbited him like a planet. Each of those crystals were then thrown in multiple directions, mainly facing Hydreigon. "Don't think so! Bash them away with Throat Chop!" "Drei! Hydreigon!" Hydreigon would retaliate, smashing his three heads against the stones to break them apart via a devastating barrage of chops. However, Galaxy Master would once again get involved, attacking as well and not fully abiding by the usual Pokemon Rules. He chimed in by using his cosmic power to blast Hydreigon, attacking alongside Dragonite. Hydreigon would have to focus on this cosmic wave as well, hitting it with his right head while the middle and left head dealt with the rest. "Hey! What gives?!" Hilbert growled after witnessing Galaxy Master attack with a cosmic wave. "I don't follow your traditional rules, boy! I do my own thing! Deal with it!" The Rift cackled. "This is how I'll win!" "H-Hydreigon!" Hydreigon was then knocked back by the barrage of stones and the expansion of the wave, causing him to fly in Hilbert's direction. "D-Drei!" However, the Brutal Pokemon managed to recover, preventing himself from crashing into Hilbert. "Even if you're playing a different game...I'm not gonna lose this!" "Are you sure? Go, Dragonite! Dragon Claw!" The Rift swiped its hands before then sending tendrils of Rift Energy to fly alongside the Dragon-Flying-Type. "I'm always sure! Even Hilda can vouch for that!" Hilbert thundered. "Throat Chop!" "Hydreigon!" Hydreigon would once again take on two targets at once. And this time, it would be up close and personal. First was Dragonite who ended up reaching Hydreigon before the tendrils could. He clashed with Dragonite directly via Dragon Claw and Throat Chop collision whilst the tendrils were still approaching. "Fly up, pal!" Hilbert pointed upwards, giving Hydreigon a sign. "Drei!" Right after colliding with Dragonite, Hydreigon ascended at the right time. Just as Dragonite went for another claw swipe, he missed along with the tendrils which were inches close to attacking the Brutal Pokemon. "Check out Hydreigon's speed! Go!" "Dreigon!" Just then, after ascending above Dragonite and the tendrils, Hydreigon closed in, accelerating in midair. In the blink of an eye, the Dark-Dragon-Type had performed a double hit. It started with him smashing the tendrils apart with his right claw and with his left claw hitting Dragonite. "D-Dragonite!" Dragonite growled as Hydreigon flew past him with that Throat Chop. Ironically, he didn't even go for the throat when he had the chance. "Hyper Beam!" "Dra!" Dragonite grizzled his teeth before erasing his stagger from Hydreigon's Throat Chop via pure power alone. He soon turned around to face Hydreigon, already building up enough energy to fire an instant Hyper Beam without much charge time. "Dragonite!" "Hydrei?!" Hydreigon was planning on going for a second Throat Chop, only for Hyper Beam to appear momentarily. The Brutal Pokemon put up his arm-heads to protect himself, having his entire body cloaked in the ferocious blast which tore apart some parts of the hallway. Hilbert held onto his ht from the aftershock f this combustion while the Rift leaned in, expecting Hydreigon to take a chunk of damage from that attack. It truly wanted to finish this as soon as possible so that it could reach Ash. "Dreigon!" But, once the smoke cleared, Hydreigon was still in that blocking stance, taking the entire attack while Dragonite took time to recover. "Haha! How's that?! I raised my Hydreigon's defence to the best it could be! Not even a Fairy-Type can knock him down so easily!" Hilbert chuckled, boasting about Hydreigon's defence. Hyreigon did the same, laughing alongside his trainer as they both shared that same exuberance. "Now, Dragon Pulse, let's go!" "Hydreigon!" Hydreigon took advantage of Dragonite's recharge time, attacking with Dragon Pulse while he had the chance. But of course, the Rift had to get in the way. A cosmic wormhole was summoned via the Rift's energy, appearing right in front of Dragonite. Instead of crashing into Dragonite, the pulse went through the wormhole., vanishing. "Oh, come on!" Hilbert yelled, furiously stomping his feet. Hydreigon would soon flail his arms around, also ranting about Galaxy Master's intrusion. "That's totally unfair! Fight like a true hero!" "How are you still not realizing I'm not the hero in this?" The Rift sighed. "Nevermind. You can still have the attack go through. Just not on Dragonite!" Just then, the wormhole reappeared. But this time, it was behind Hydreigon. The Rift re-summoned the wormhole while keeping Dragon Pulse as well. Once it was summoned back, the attack crashed out, instantly delivering a super-effective blow to Hydreigon's back. "H-Hydrei!" "Oh, no! Hydreigon!" Hilbert gasped. "Dragon Claw!" "Gonite!" Dragonite would follow up. Once Hydreigon was hit from the back, he was sent forward, giving Dragonite the chance to deliver a direct blow. When Hydreigon came flying this way, he was met with a devastating swipe from Dragonite's Dragon Claw, receiving another super-effective hit. "Dreigon!" Hydreigon was once again sent flying. This time, back to Hilbert's side as he slid onto the floor, face first. "Hmph! That should be the one to do it. I've seen more impressive Hydreigon after all." The Rift scoffed, believing that Hydreigon was done for. It was ready to soon get Hilbert out of the way and depart from this room. "Drei!" But just one second later, Hydreigon got back up, stunning Galaxy Master. He wasn't done yet. When getting back up, he merely shook his head, feeling a bit dazed. "Too bad my Hydreigon's in the top percentage of Hydreigon!" Hilbert laughed, putting up a peace sign to taunt Galaxy Master. "He's the most impressive Hydreigon you'll ever meet! Count on that Mr Cosmic!" "Hydrei! Hydrei!" Hydreigon was even mocking Dragonite, dancing about while singing a tune, riling the Dragon Pokemon up. "Tch! Pile of pebbles! You can't keep up that tough guy act forever! Dragon Claw!" The Rift continued to engage with Hilbert, commanding Dragonite once more. This battle wasn't over yet. "Why act tough when you are tough?!" Hilbert replied back with a powerful response before then commanding Hydreigon to retaliate. "Throat Chop!" Dragonite and Hydreigon clashed once more. It was another heavy collision for them as this hallway was beginning to give out from the battle between these two Dragons. Afterwards, Dragonite and Hydreigon engaged in a close-quarters exchange of hard-hitting physical attacks. Green and Black streams of energy continued to fly out of their arms as the two Dragons rushed each other. "Drei!" Hydreigon landed a successful hit in first within this exchange, striking Dragonite's chest. Dragonite staggered before once again rushing with his fellow Dragon-Type. This hit would soon be returned via Dragonite who also got a successful hit. "Drago!" Dragonite also struck Hydreigon, this time in his middle face. These two Dragons were truly fierce in their exchanges, getting every chance they could to hit each other. There was no strategy or skill. Just simply brute strength as Hydreigon then ended the clash with an upwards swing to Dragonite's neck, forcing the Dragon Pokemon upwards. And this time, when hitting the ceiling, their battle finally revealed other rooms that were upstairs. Rubble from above dropped, shaking the rest of the room as some of the rubble even went for Galaxy Master from how hard the ceiling had been cracked. "You two...!" The Rift was beginning to grow annoyed with Hilbert and Hydreigon before then focusing on Hilbert himself. If he could get Hilbert out of the way, that would change things. "Dragonite! Hyper Beam, once more!" "Dra!" From above, even in the upper room, Dragonite used Hyper Beam from above. Direct contact with this attack at this angle could result in the floor being the next major target for this draconic destruction. "Here goes! Dragon Pulse!" "Hydrei...!" Hydreigon was ready to meet with it. However, the second Hyper Beam got close to Hydreigon, that is when the Rift redirected it. "Drei?" Hyper Beam was redirected by the Rift to go after Hilbert instead, swerving over Hydreigon's head. Hilbert made a goofy face that also resembled absolute fear in the face of this destructive beam of Infinity Energy. The instinctive thing to do was flee from the beam. "Yikes!" "Gon!" But even with the attack being redirected, Hydreigon would try and stop it. He would attempt to intercept the attack while it was still active, only for those blasted tendrils from the Rift to grab his head arms. "This is it!" The Rift declared this battle to be over due to Hydreigon's current restraints and Hilbert's position. Hilbert faced the door to the next room before leaping with all of his might. The beam was right behind him as he triggered the automatic doors, allowing him to pass through. This was to Hilbert's benefit. The speed of the doors opening compared to the speed of Hyper Beam was vast as the beam struck the edges of the doors before they could fully open. An outburst of Infinity Energy came from this, launching Hilbert away along with his hat. He managed to barely save himself before tumbling to the floor. Pieces of the door came flying out, dropping everywhere as the Trainer from Unova was still here and active. "Phew...That was a close one." Hilbert took a deep breath. "I thought I was a goner there! But when you're the Number One Trainer in both worlds, nothing's gonna take you out! Hahahaha!" "What kind of luck is this?!" The Rift growled. Meanwhile, this put a smile on Hydreigon's face. He expected no less from his trainer. With this lucky save, Hydreigon then ripped apart the tendrils via Dragon Rush. He engulfed his body in a flare of draconic energy that soon gave him the strength to tear these Cosmic Creations. "Hydrei!" Hydreigon then went straight for Dragonite after breaking free. Dragonite, who was recharging, had nothing to defend himself with. The Rift was too late to protect Dragonite with a barrier thanks to his annoyance with Hilbert, resulting in Dragonite receiving a direct Dragon Rush. "D-Dra!" "Awesome! Now, g Hydreigon! Higher and higher!" "Hydreigon!" Hydreigon went higher, using all of his strength to continue carrying Dragonite. This resulted in the other upper levels of the tower being broken into. Ceiling after ceiling, floor after floor, Hydreigon began tearing the place down with his Dragon Rush. "Dragonite, no!" Galaxy Master yelled after seeing so many ceilings come apart. A storm of rubble dropped from above as Hydreigon's Dragon Rush finally came to an end. The end result was Dragonite falling from above. The Dragon Pokemon crashed into the rest of the rubble formed by the environmental destruction while Hydreigon stayed airborne. Once the smoke cleared from all this destruction, Dragonite didn't get back up at all. Seconds passed and the Dragon Pokemon didn't have his usual moment where he would suddenly emerge with a mighty comeback. That wasn't the case. The Mighty Dragonite was finally defeated. It had fainted. "Dragonite..." "M-My Dragonite...! But I poured so much power into it just for it to be so powerful...!" The Rift staggered back. "Oh yeah! That's how it's done!" Hilbert jumped for joy. "This victory is ours, Hydreigon! That's what it's like when you go up against Number One!" "Hydreigon!" Celebrating this victory, Hydreigon unleashed three Dragon Pulses into the air as a victory fanfare, cheering alongside Hilbert while descending. As for Dragonite, he fizzled into stardust, much like every other Pokemon from the Rift. "Well, Galaxy Master. Or Rift. That's the end of that. We win. You lose. And you're gonna be handing Meloetta and Hoopa back to us. Got that?" "Don't be ridiculous..." Annoyed, the Rift shook its fist before keeping its cool. "So what if you defeated my Dragonite? I'm still here and I have my options. You haven't won yet, Hilbert!" "Yeah. Guess not." Hilbert picked his hat back up, placing it on. "Let's fix that, shall we? Gonna run or gonna battle? What's it gonna be Rift? I and my Pokemon are always ready to throw down. Isn't that right, Hydreigon?" "Hydreigon!" "Yes...I would've chosen Hilbert's world after I was done with this world. The Pokemon WOrld hols too many possibilities, making any other world perfect for a crossover. But I suppose...much like the previous worlds, they always bring some form of trouble. Especially with those blasted counterparts." The Rift thought to itself before seeing Hilbert take out another Poke Ball, in case Hydreigon fainted. He juggled the Poke Ball, ready to continue this battle as if it were a 6v6 Battle. Hilbert was planning to go all the way despite also wanting to finish this battle soon enough to feast on something. "I still haven't found Ash despite my actions. And I'm afraid...Bertha might have been right. This body might not be the unbeatable force I expected it to be. I don't even have much time left with the power I've recovered. Unless I can absorb some power from Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia...I'll be out of time." "What's it gonna be?" Hilbert asked. "Come on, don't leave me hanging." "No...I don't have just those two. I have someone else that I can call for." That's when the Rift went for more of its options. It wasn't out of the game just yet. "I still don't want to have to deal with you! I need to find Ash at once!" But before that other option could arrive, the Rift took, running once again instead of staying behind. This agitated Hilbert once more as it irked him the wrong way to see someone in the body of a hero flee constantly. "Hey! Again?! After him, Hydreigon!" Hilbert pursued the fictional character with Hydreigon following suit. Galaxy Master entered the next room, triggering the automatic doors that were all around. "Hydreigon!" Hydreigon was clearly the faster force here, breaking the doors apart with brute force. Even after that powerful Dragon Rush and exchange with Dragonite, his durability allowed him to keep going. "Fine then! If you're not gonna battle...then we'll finish it here! Dragon Pulse!" "Drei!" While chasing him down, Dragonite used Dragon Pulse from all three heads. Hilbert chose to end this conflict once and for all. "No, it won't end here!" Galaxy Master held up his hand to put up a barrier. Three Dragon Pulses met with the barrier, immediately showing the Rift just how much power it used in this entire event. The barrier of cosmic energy trembled as the three pulses managed to break through it. "What?!" "Yes! Now, Dragon Rush!" "Hydreigon!" Hyreigon kicked into high gear, using Dragon Rush to accelerate at greater speeds. By boosting through the air, Galaxy Master showed visible signs of fear. The fear of losing was upon it. "You won't stop me! Not when I have these two!" That's when Galaxy Master held up Hoopa and Meloetta, using them as shields. This forced Hydreigon to come to a screeching halt in front of them each, preventing him from harming them. "Hydrei?!" "Meloetta! Hoopa! Gah...you would try that..." Hilbert grizzled his teeth, annoyed at the Rft's constant cheap actions. "It won't end until I have my vengeance. Even you won't prevent me from doing so, Hilbert." The Rift cackled. "Meloetta is also still under my control and that song of hers should've pulled Ash in even if it ended." "You're gonna keep going this far for revenge? Not a great idea if you ask me." Hilbert replied. "I can go as far as I want, Hilbert Blair. Because by the end of this, I'll make sure none of it ever happened. Everything will go back to normal. But at the same time, I'll make sure things are never normal for Ash ever again. I believe I found the best way to make him suffer for what he did to me." "Not happening!" Hilbert protested before being careful with what action he would take next, lest he risks the lives of Hoopa and Meloetta. Hydreigon especially considering how vicious his fangs were. "Hydreigon!" "I'm not out of options either...There's one more Pokemon from the Cosmic Wall that I can call for. Can you hear me?! Rift- Giratina?!" As the journey continues. Chapter 916 End.
