//------------------------------// // Pegalysium's Secret Weapon // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Pegalysium. Pegalysium Capital. Sky Monarch. The Pokemon Festival. Afternoon. Up in the skies, further below the Galaxy Tower which was in outer space, the Rocketship was approaching the Pegalysium Captial. Previously, the ship managed to come close to the Galaxy Tower, but there was one problem. The Rif Veil was blocking any entrance to the tower. King Paramount and Queen Luminary were already waiting for them this entire time, continuing to chime in just to repay the favour to Princess Celestia and Equestria. Applejack could finally feel the fresh air of the Earth itself. No longer would she be confined in a ship and an orb of cosmic energy. The beautiful Earth was hers to breathe on again. Though it was somewhat humorous for an Earth Pony to fully take in the air of a Pegasus-Based location. "Sweet, sweet air!" Applejack kissed the ground, relieved to be back on Planet Earth. But even with this happiness, the rest of her friends weren't here to experience this with her. "Did you succeed?" King Paramount asked as Chrysalis approached, shaking her head with disappointing news. "No. There is a Rift Veil around the tower, preventing us from entering it. That veil is too massive for any of us to handle. If Applejack were to try something, she would pass out without a doubt." The Changeling Queen explained. "That is why we've come to you." "Oh, right. Dear, you have some Rift Magic inside of you even to this day." Luminary brought up Paramount's possession of Rift Magic. "I do. Thanks to my Cutie Mark, I can grow the magic as if it were a plant." Paramount added. "I will see what I can do with this veil. But, could you possibly tell me what is occurring up in that structure?" "It's a tower. Named the Galaxy Tower." Jackie answered. "And judging by what Applejack told us, that Galaxy Master character's been taken over by the Rift. That explains the veil of Cosmic Energy around it. Right now, there's most likely a large brawl happening in that tower. If it goes on, then there's a good chance that the tower could come down or even leave holes. In space, that's the biggest accident that could ever happen." "The Rift is most likely there to exact revenge on Ash," Chrysalis added. "And by doing so, it would want Ash to suffer. It already brought that tower from the underground to outer space just as an advantage. The Rift itself is exceedingly powerful, so now that it's taken action, who knows what it could be doing up there?" "Oh my. I knew it was serious, but I didn't think it was that serious." A stunned Queen Luminary responded, finding out the stakes were higher than expected. "The only problem is that veil that's in the way. Applejack encountered the Rift and it wasn't at full strength yet. All of its power is still missing a good chunk. If we can just get past that veil, we could be golden." Jackie continued. "So, your majesty. Think that you can do it?" "I can. But in case I can't succeed...There's something we have that could break that veil. But it would be extremely powerful." Paramount closed his eyes as Luminary gasped, knowing exactly what he was referring to. "What would that be?" Chrysalis questioned. "Follow us." Paramount would lead them all to the room of the specific thing that held extreme power. They had to wonder what it could possibly be. It certainly wasn't the Clock Door that can alter time in this nation. It was only exclusive to Pegalysium's time. Sky Moarch. Lower level. The lower levels. This thing was located deep within the palace and seemed to possess a great sense of security and privacy for where it could be located. It wasn't like the Clock Door which was out in the open for many to see when arriving at the Pegalysium Capital. However, there were no stairs to be found. Instead, they all moved down a slope to reach the lower levels. "Ya don't have stairs?" Applejack questioned. "We have wings. There is no need for stairs." Luminary answered, giving the most simple reason as to why there were no stairs in this castle. "Anyway, we keep this object greatly hidden so that not even Second Wind of her Indigo Union knows where it is despite searching hard to prove its existence. If they were to know where it was located...the results could disastrous." "How strong is this object then? It must be a weapon." Chrysalis wondered as the further they went down, the hotter it became. Everyone felt the sudden heat increase in the atmosphere. "Is it getting hot in here too?" "It's only natural with what's up ahead." Paramount referred to the massive door that stood before them. With his magic, he opened the door from afar. Multiple doors actually. Each of them were made out of Dynasite with over 10 layers of Dynasite doors that would be impossible for someone to open physically unless they were Legendaries of possessed a great ordeal of Aura. Upon opening all those doors, everyone was smacked in the face by what was within this room. The room itself was lit up with a perplexing light, bewildering Applejack and the others. After their eyes were hit by this light, they took the time to witness just what was hiding beyond those doors. And their eyes couldn't believe it. Pegalysium had yet another special force exclusive to them and harboured uniqueness all around. First, it was Dynasite, then it was the mysterious magma crystals, A Dynasite Pegasus Weapon, the tears that could turn ponies into mindless zombie-like attacks, then, a clock door that could alter time itself, Destiny Pegasi, Giant Pegasi, Meteors that could speak with those from beyond and now this. A Colossal Thunderbolt. Locked inside a gigantic transparent container of Dynasite, a force of lightning was the secret weapon that Pegalysium harboured. It sat there in the container, constantly crackling but not emanating the same sound a usual thunderbolt makes in the cloudy skies. "Woah nelly..." Applejack gawked. If she had her hat right now, she would be holding it up to her chest, no doubt. Chrysalis and her Changelings had seen a lot but this one was up there with the most fantastical things they have ever witnessed. "Nice..." Jackie whistled at this bolt of lightning as he had seen his fair share of wild objects but this one wasn't something to scoff at so easily. "So, this is your secret weapon. A Giant Thunderbolt that's constantly here." "Not just any Giant Thunderbolt." Paramount walked up to it. "We call this the Master Bolt. It is the Symbol of Power for Pegalysium. It was originally made by the 4th Pegasus of Destiny and with help from the Pegalysium Giants." "It would make sense for a giant to be responsible behind this..." Chrysalis added with a quieter tone. "One day, a terrible storm came that threatened to destroy our beautiful land but with their combined strength, the 4th Destiny Pegasus and the giants worked together to form billions of lightning bolts to form this. A weapon from the heavenly endless sky itself." "You never used it against Second Wind?" Chrysalis asked, wondering why such a weapon wasn't used during Second Wind's criminal actions. "Surprised she hasn't even bothered to look into something like this." Applejack even pondered how someone like Second Wind, who constantly snoops around behind the backs of others, would've never found out about this weapon's location or possibly even existence. "There's a reason why it's been locked in here for so long. The destructive power this bolt holds is unreal. If it were ever to be unleashed, the mass destruction would be akin to what threatened Pegalysium in the past. If we even take a few pieces out of it out, those few bolts will be enough to crush an entire city. My family was entrusted to keep this bolt safe for many years." "Second Wind has been trying everything to gain something from each Pegasus of Destiny. As you already know, Windkiss, the first Destiny Pegasus, made the Clock Door and the Avus-Pegasus that lives inside of it. Each Pegasus of Destiny left behind something of great power and value that the Indigo Union have been trying to achieve for so long. My husband's family have done their best to keep them all hidden." "Well, this could work. If it's as powerful as you say it is, then let's use one piece to get rid of that veil." Jackie suggested. "Unless that's still risky." "We will only use one bolt." Luminary suggested. "One bolt to try and break that veil. And just in case, a second bolt. But any more than that could endanger their lives. We need to be exceedingly careful with this weapon." "As long as it gets them out." Applejack sighed. It was official. This powerful weapon would be used but only in small portions. But there was one issue that had to be addressed. And Jackie was the one to bring it up. "So uh...how do we grab it?" Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. "Hmm...How can this tower appear so small on the outside but so large on the inside." Galaxy Master, AKA the Rift, was still searching for Ash, going through the entirety of the tower just to hunt him down. Alongside him was Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia, becoming his ultimate bodyguards. "Palkia." By hearing the Rift call its name, Rift-Palkia knew what to do. By warping space, it began reshaping parts of this tower just to make things easier for its trainer. Rooms were readjusted via Rift-Palkia's power, moving them to another part of the tower while also changing the locations for others. Right now, the tower received swapped locations, but only to minimal level thanks to the limitations of Rift-Palkia. But these powers were still enough to confuse everyone who were in certain locations and now found themselves elsewhere. But the Rift was annoyed that it might still not be enough to find Ash, wherever he may be, "There are still more of his annoying friends that we could run into before we even find him. But...if I waste any more time, I suppose I can do this." The Rift wanted to speed things up immediately. But with this level of power, doing whatever it wanted would be difficult. But that is where Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia came in. By placing his hands on both of them, Galaxy Master began absorbing the Rift Energy within them. Since these creations had half of the Rift's Power, portions of them were absorbed back into the Rift, strengthening it. But that wasn't the only power the Rift was getting back. Approaching the Rift with two Mythical Pokemon at its disposal was none other than Galaxy Master's Dragonite. It had two Pokemon that had been defeated. Hoopa, who took massive damage from protecting Meloetta and Meloetta herself, who was ultimately defeated by Dragonite's absurd strength. Even when unconscious, Meloetta was tearing up after what Hoopa had done. "Well done, Dragonite." Galaxy Master said before being handed over both Mythicals. "But...Victini isn't with them. What a shame...if I had Victini's power, things would be different. Even with my cosmic power, I will admit that if Victini was to share its infinite energy with me, I could regain so much in so little time. These two will work either way." "Meloetta..." "Meloetta. You aren't too useful aside from your singing. But it's not singing that I need right now." Galaxy Master shook his head. "What I need is something else from you. Perhaps, you can serve a different purpose." He had different plans for Meloetta that went past what she was originally capable of. By using the regained power from Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia, Galaxy Master ended up changing Meloetta. Strings appeared around the Melody Pokemon's arms before raising them. He then held his hands out as the strings were connected to his fingertips. At this point, she became a puppet but only for one reason. "You love Ash a lot, don't you? Well then. You'll be the one to bring him to me." Meloetta would be the Rift's ticket to finding Ash. By using her as a puppet, the Rift capitalized on the one person that was near and dear to Meloetta. Ash. And this was where her singing came into play. By using her as a puppet, Galaxy Master forced Meloetta to start singing, even when unconscious. He forced her to sing a specific song. A song that would draw Ash in. "Meloetta~" Meloetta's beautiful song flowed through the hallways with an alluring sound. Her singing would be audible for many to hear, especially those with exceptional hearing. Galaxy Master knew that if there was one individual who could hear it, it would be Audino. Plus, Fluttershy. Ash was currently with those two specifically, making a song the best way to try and reach him. But everyone else would hear this song. Neither would be attracted to it. It was beautiful sure, but it was only meant for Ash and no one else. Even so, the song had another effect. That effect made others feel drowsy. Meloetta's singing voice was enough to tire some of them out on the spot even from a great distance. Even the thin hallways weren't exempt from and they especially were at their best in the wider hallways. Pinkie Pie and Mew heard it along with Thunderlane and his little brother Rumble. When reading the hordes of Pokemon, they found themselves falling weak to this song, stopping in their tracks. "Oh boy...I guess in space, it's always nighttime..." Pinkie then dropped to the floor, flat on her face too. "Mew..." Mew yawned, soon falling as drowsy as the others. "This song..." Cynthia held her head. "Meloetta wouldn't be doing this for no reason...did the Rift get her?" Cynthia already caught on to what this could be. Meloetta certainly wouldn't just perform a sleeping song that affected even her friends. "I don't know...but it's so...good..." Sci-Twi was slumped onto the wall. "Don't fall asleep, Twilight..." Cynthia was fighting to stay up, getting on one knee to try and resist it. But Meloetta's singing was just another level, barely rivalled by other Pokemon that can also sing beautifully. One by one, ponies and Pokemon were dropping to the floor, unable to resist this melodic song. Fighting against it was seemingly pointless. Even when unconscious, Meloetta's voice was absolutely beautiful. The Rift chuckled, knowing that this song was taking effect as it started walking while controlling Meloetta like a puppet. Whoever would stand in its way would just be down on the floor, tired. As to be expected, when entering another room, the Rift found many ponies asleep from the song. It took its effect flawlessly. And its main effect of pulling Ash in was still in motion. This sound was specifically a cry for help in the ears of Ash while everyone else heard it as a calming goodnight song. "Good...Keep going." The Rift said before looking at Hoopa. "As for you, Hoopa. I know what I will do with you." "Hyper Voice!" But, a voice quickly boomed through the hallway, grabbing the Rift's attention. There was someone who ignored this sound. "Altaria!" And an even louder sound countered Meloetta's singing with another beautiful song. But this song was more upbeat compared to Meloetta's calming song. Galaxy Master felt a shockwave from this Hyper Voice as it came from Altaria. "What?!" Not just any, Altaria. Rainbow Dash's Altaria. The Alaria species were already great singers so Rainbow Dash's Altaria was no exception. With the doors ahead opening, Altaria could be seen flying next to Rainbow Dash and Castform. But it wasn't just those two. Hilbert was there, also awake and active thanks to Altaria's energetic song. He had his arms crossed, donning that signature confident smirk that he always brings with him while Scootaloo was behind him, also awake. "Nice work, my student!" Hilbert boasted. "Told ya it was a good idea to have Altaria do that! We can't be falling asleep here of all places." "I'm not your student...and I was gonna bring Altaria out anyway." Rainbow Dash grumbled. "So. You're Galaxy Master, huh?" Hilbert faced the fictional character. "Yeah. That's a Superhero, alright." "Hmph. Refer to me as the Rift. I'm not too surprised you're active. You're a rambunctious one. That's only natural for someone from Unova." The Rift scoffed. "Rift huh? Taking control of someone's body is no good." Hilbert shook his head, less surprised that the Rift had Galaxy Master's body. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo were certainly surprised and even more surprised that Hilbert found it out so quickly. "But, it ain't the first time I've seen someone get their body taken over." "Whatever. You're not Ash. But it would do me a great service if I saw you defeated, just for Ash to witness." The Rift replied. "Tsk, tsk. That's not happening, pal." Hilbert wagged his finger, denying the Rift's statement. "Are you blind? I've already beaten so many trainers now. You should've at least seen many of them along the way. It's only natural. Because I have the body of an unbeatable force!" The Rift exclaimed. "Yeah, no. You're not unbeatable." Hilbert denied it once more, wagging his finger yet again. "What makes you say that? I already proved Bertha wrong by defeating her. Many trainers have yet to take me down. Including Cynthia, who was the best of everyone here, making me the best now! What can you prove?" "I'd say you're the second-best trainer here if that's the case. Because the true best trainer is standing right there." Hilbert was up to his cocky nature once more. "You can't be unbeatable when the Number One Trainer in the world, no, both worlds, is standing right here! Hilbert Blair!" "You think you can be at me?" "I don't think so. I know so. You're looking for Ash, right? Bah! Toss that aside, okay? Listen! Let yours truly be the one to take you on. Besides, those funny-looking robots said that I'm apparently another Ash, so consider this a technicality okay? Just don't start crying stardust when I beat you. Or whatever it is cosmic beings cry. If you do cry stardust, let me collect those tears after the battle's over! Then, I'll sell 'em and make a fortune!" "He's cocky but he talks a good game." Rainbow Dash nodded, impressed by Hilbert's absolute bravado in front of whoever he faces. "Just like me." "Yeah..." Scootaloo agreed before receiving a glance from Rainbow Dash. "I'll take you on. Even with those uh...funny-looking Dialga and Palkia you've got with you. Of course, this is where you lose. Let me be the first to beat the unbeatable, okay? I'll be setting another record that many will tell for years and consider the final chapter in Galaxy Master's story to be published on this day! Co-written by Hilbert Blair!" "Hmph. You're amusing. Very amusing. You are technically a counterpart to Ash from another world, but not the one I want. I'd rather not waste any time with you though. So...I'll leave it up to them." Galaxy Master backed up as Dragonite, Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia walked forward. They would take care of things from here. Galaxy Master still wanted to use Meloetta to draw Ash in after all. "Hey! You're chickening out?!" Hilbert growled, grizzling his teeth. "Come on! That's totally Un-Hero-like, ya know! Face me!" "Pass! I'm looking for the real Ash. But these two will deal with you nuisances." Galaxy Master responded. "No, they won't. It'd be cool to battle them, but personally, I'm getting hungry and wanna end this soon so...let's have a stage to ourselves!" Hilbert then suddenly took off running despite the two giants that stood before him. "Huh! Hey, wait! Hilbert!" Rainbow Dash yelled out after seeing him head in with bold action. "Oh, that guy...!" "Scuse me!" Hilbert slid under Rift-Dialga's legs before the two Pokemon could try and stand in his way. Rift-Palkia attempted warping space, only to miss Hilbert after he slid. Rift-Dialga was too late to stop time thanks to Hilbert's risky movements. It expected to crush Hilbert first with its feet but to no avail. "Persistent, little! Dragonite!" Galaxy Master called for Dragonite. "Dragonite!" Dragonite took flight, immediately chasing after Hilbert. He was already close to Galaxy Master after taking off but Dragonite was even closer thanks to his flying speed. The two other Dragons would also take action against Hilbert as now Rift-Dialga was ready to stop time. "Weather Ball! Dragon Pulse!" "Castform!" But then there was Castform, shooting a Weather Ball at Rift-Dialga's back. The Creation of Arceus and the Rift's power turned its attention elsewhere, focusing on the one who attacked it. So did Palkia who was hit by Altaria's Dragon Pulse. "If he wants to do it by himself, fine. But how about you two stay here with me?" Rainbow Dash offered to take these two on while Hilbert does his own thing. "Wait, me too?" Scootaloo certainly didn't go ahead with Hilbert, leaving her to be with Rainbow Dash. "Neat!" She wasn't complaining at all. "Dragonite!" Dragonite already reached Hilbert, forcing him to face the Dragon Pokemon. Their presence each triggered the door to the next room but Hilbert may not reach the next room if he didn't act fast. "Yikes! Hydreigon, go for it!" Digging into his pocket, he picked out Hydreigon's Poke Ball. As fast as he could throw it, the Poke Ball nearly came in contact with Dragonite's face. Out of it, someone blocked Dragonite's path as the Dragon-Flying-Type ended up bumping into the other Dragon that slumbered inside. Hydreigon. "D-Dra!" It was a hard bump too thanks to the velocity Dragonite was moving at. Hydreigon even felt one too from the collision. "Hydreigon!" "Gotcha!" As for Hilbert, when Galaxy Master tried running off, there was one attribute that led to Hilbert keeping him behind. The cape. "Cape's too long buddy! Be glad it ain't stuck in that door!" "You brat!" The Rift roared as Hilbert pulled him back, preventing him from going further and into the next room. The length of the cape ended up being a drawback that the Rift didn't expect at all. "There. Much better. Now, I've got you to myself. And you're gonna be dropping Meloetta and Hoopa with you two." Hilber smirked before facing the fictional character. Hydreigon backed away, returning to Hilbert's side while Dragonite was still on the other side away from its trainer. "I generally don't have time for you...but if you're wishing for utter defeat, so be it. My Dragonite is more than enough for you!" "Dragonite!" Dragonite flew over Hydreigon and Hilbert entirely just to reach its trainer. This is what Hilbert wanted and he got his wish eventually. It was fulfilled by his enemy, making it all the more better for him. That confident smirk on his face was even familiar to the Rift's eyes. As to be expected, it was similar to Ash's smile but with some cockiness sprinkled in it. Hilbert would now face off against Galaxy Master, set on doing two things. Achieving victory and defeating the seemingly unbeatable. force before him as the journey continues. Chapter 915 End.
