//------------------------------// // Mission to Outer Space! Galaxy Master's Weakness // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Hoenn. Ranger Union. Ranger HQ Personel. Afternoon. The Ranger Union. The main headquarters and organization of the Pokemon Rangers. There were many Ranger Bases, most of them could be found around Hoenn. Located in the northwest of the Hoenn Region, This ranger base was already receiving calls, mainly about the ongoings across the various regions. On each of these screens, an abundance of problems popped up. The emergence of Desires, the recent appearance of vampires from the Dread League, a large drop in Rift Energy thanks to Galaxy Master and so much more. Right now, a new situation had propped up for them via a call from the other world. This one would match some of their biggest calls and problems undoubtedly. "Ranger Union. Hoenn Region. What's your report?" One of the Operators spoke, answering the call. The one speaking on this phone was a fellow member of justice. Officer Jenny. "Hello. This is Officer Jenny from Unova. We have a problem. One that's out of this world." Officer Jenny spoke with urgency in her voice. "Out of this world? The other world or space?" "Both. I'm here with the King and Queen of Pegalysium. They've shown me what's going up there thanks to this...magic mural? It's magic so I don't have to think too hard about it." Right now, Officer Jenny was in the same presence as the Royal Family from Pegalysium. The best way to get help from the Pokemon Rangers would be from another force of the law. And the only existing one in this world was the ludicrous abundance of Officer Jennys and their own police forces. This was the closest region with a gateway connecting to the Faye Mountains, after all, leading the Royal Family and their guards here. "Either way. Listen. Right now, up in space in their world, there's a predicament going on. It involves Princess Celestia and many others such as Cynthia and Bertha in some sort of structure that's in space. From what this magic mural shows, there's a battle going up there and if it continues, the end result could be dangerous considering where they currently are. No one else has the capability to reach it though since it's in space. Do you think the Pokemon Rangers are equipped to handle this?" "A problem in space involving Princess Celestia. We have great connections with Princess Celestia and the entirety of Equestria after that invasion. Any potential harm done to her will have our utmost attention. Don't worry. Outer space isn't out of our reach either." "That's great to hear. How soon can you get up there?" "Well, it's still space, so we need some time. We'll send one of our best rangers to handle this. He's already experienced with Outer Space. Isn't that right, Jackie?" In this room currently was Pokemon Ranger Jack Walker. The best of the best. Most put their trust in Jackie and he certainly had the biggest experience with Equestria compared to any other Pokemon Ranger. "True, but you could always ask her." Jackie then revealed a book containing a certain woman in it. "Kidd Summers. She's been to space too, after all." The book showed the multi-record-breaking adventurer Kidd Summers who also explored space before among many other things. "But, I can still head up there. But what exactly are they facing in that structure exactly?" "According to what they shared with me, there's a battle going on. That's far too dangerous to have in space since at any point, one move from a certain Pokemon could expose a hole that leads to the vacuum of space. So, before anyone suffers out there, we should get you ready. There should be a ship in Equestria that is under that nation's protection. The Rocketship, right?" "The one from Team Rocket. Strange that they're helping out Equestria. I'll pay them a visit." Jackie then revealed a Travel Sphere in his hand. It would be the quickest way to reach Equestria. "It'll take too long for us to get one started in this world, so let's make it easy on ourselves. But uh...I'll still need that space gear." "Alright. Good luck, Jackie. Get everyone home safe." "Okay!" Jackie gave an optimistic thumbs up. "Just leave it to me." Equestria. Canterlot. The Pokemon Festival. Afternoon. "What?! Princess Celestia's in space?!" Naturally, news about this spread to Equestria and especially the place where Celestia originally lives at. And the one responsible for this was Queen Chrysalis, knowing that she could inform everyone whilst Paramount and Luminary informed the authorities. "Exactly. Someone should be heading up to grab them." Chrysalis, alongside some Changeling Guards, spoke to the Canterlot Guards and the residents of Canterlot, shocking them with this galactic news. "But don't panic, alright? I have full faith they'll be fine. But, if any of you have any ideas of what to do about this, they would be greatly appreciated." "What? Going into space? We can't do that. Not even sure we can breathe up there." A pony replied swiftly. "We can't. Neither do we know much about space." Fleur-de-lis. "It's called the Final Frontier for a reason." "Wait. What about those stairs? The golden stairs that are meant to reach Jirachi." An idea propped up in one of the guards. The golden stairway that was made out of various sources of power was incomplete. "Could we use that?" "Even if we did, it has a stopping point and it isn't complete yet." Raven Inkwell, Celestia's secretary shook her head. "And even if we didn't we still can't breathe in space." "What about Reshiram and Zekrom? Can they breathe in space? I mean, they are Legendary Pokemon so..." "They-" Raven was ready to throw another answer in, only to scrunch her face. "Hmm...That's a good point. Can they breathe in space? Where are Reshiram and Zekrom now?" "Reshiram went along with her majesty but from the sounds of this story, Reshiram never went to the structure. Probably because of his size." A Canterlot Guard added. "So, he should be at the Unova Region right now. As for Zekrom, we're not sure where he is." "Then go and speak to Reshiram before it's too late. And find the other Princess Flurry Heart. Her Giratina could-" Raven began throwing orders, fixating on the Legendary Pokemon. "I have an extra idea that could help." Just then, interrupting Raven was a mysterious unicorn who was wearing a hood with a hole that could help fit her horn. All attention was drawn towards her as any idea would do right now for the sake of their Princesses. "You do? And who may you be?" Already, Chrysalis grew suspicious of this hooded figure. She certainly wasn't going to ignore the fact that this unicorn was hiding her identity. "There's always Mewtwo. That's a Pokemon that can actually breathe in space. You'll find that Ash Ketchum and Pinkie Pie are friends with them. At least, one of them is. If you can find Mewtwo, that would be very useful. But the other Legendaries could work out, especially Giratina." "Mewtwo? Oh, right." Raven agreed with that idea as it was too good to argue about. "If we can reach Mewtwo that is...But thank you for the suggestion either way." "It'll be fine. After all, there's one pony with that group who can breathe in space. And so can I." "You can breathe in space? How so?" Chrysalis questioned. "It's a mother and daughter thing." The unicorn revealed that somepony up at the Galaxy Tower could breathe was related to her. "We don't have to worry about the vacuum space. But don't worry about it. I have a ship that we can use. Team Rocket won't mind if we take it." "The Rocketship? Oh, excellent!" Raven exclaimed. "That's the only good thing those invaders left behind. I-If we could pilot it, that is." "I can pilot it." This mysterious unicorn unveiled more of herself except her true name and identity. The only thing they had to go off of was a sky-blue unicorn horn. "I have some experience." "You-" "Works for us!" Raven Inkwell cut Chrysalis off as any semblance of hope was a positive in her eyes, no matter how mysterious this unicorn was. "Come on, guards! We can't just stand around while our princess is in trouble!" The guards saluted as they would be off to the Pokemon House in Ponyville just to commandeer this one ship. After all, Team Rocket wasn't using it considering they were piloting Food Stand Van instead. But Chrysalis kept her eye on this unicorn, wanting to know who she was. Having knowledge about piloting that ship that originally came from Empress Twilight's Universe and knowing which pony could breathe in space despite not mentioning a name was too mysterious to simply ignore. Ponyville. Fluttershy's Cottage. The Pokemon House. Afternoon. The Royal Guards of Canterlot were approaching Ponyille. And at the same time, other guards were sent to find Reshiram, Zekrom and Princess Flurry Heart. Since Celestia and Luna were up there, this was a nationwide issue that required full-force attempts. The Rocketship sat there, still having that giant Team Rocket R plastered on to signify who owned this ship, even if the entirety of Team Rocket had no idea that their least known goons owned such a vessel. However, when arriving here, Chrysalis and the others saw that they weren't the only ones fixated on the vessel. Of course, Jackie's mission to reach space would involve a ship as he could be seen standing next to it. "Hey there!" Jackie greeted them whilst surrounded by Pokemon. "I don't suppose any of you could contact Team Rocket? Having some trouble getting in here." "Jackie, right? Great timing!" Raven zoomed over, shaking Jackie's hand with her hoof. "All the help we can get is needed with this predicament. You had the same idea as us?" "Clearly. This is my newest mission. Reaching space and seeing if your ruler and everyone is doing alright up there. If I was going to head up to the final frontier, I would use this ship since it's already available to the public. I would be up there by now but it's locked so..." The Pokemon Ranger chuckled. "If I could the original owners, that'd be great." "I'm afraid we can't d that." Raven sighed. "We should really be thinking about getting in touch with them for situations such as these now that I think about it." "You don't have to worry about it." The mysterious unicorn responded, walking past Jackie and Raven before standing before the ship. With just a tap on the vessel, it opened up. There wasn't the usage of a single key or anything like that. Just a tap is all she needed, stunning everyone and only raising Chrysalis' suspicions. The door was wide open and the ship was free to use. Not that Team Rocket would know about this. "That works." Jackie certainly wasn't questioning it and neither was anypony else. All they cared about was reaching space to protect the Royal Family. "Hold on. Who are you exactly?" Chrysalis needed to know, putting the unicorn on the spot. "How can you do something like that to this specific object?" "Good point. You'd have to be someone who already knows how this thing works." A Canterlot Guard added. "You've already been inside?" "I've been in one of these before. The way to open it is just natural knowledge I have about this ship. I'd rather not stand around any longer. Not when somepony important is up there facing trouble." But again, she didn't reveal herself to everyone here. "We can worry about identities later." Jackie hopped inside the ship. "Right now, let's get up to those stars and sort everything out before the worst can happen." "He's right. But um..." Raven stepped back, scrunching her face as her hooves could be seen shaking. "You can all go ahead...I'd rather not be around a place such as space. But good luck up there." "Have it your way." Chrysalis shrugged before entering with her troops. "Oh! Almost forgot! I'd suggest keeping an eye on her. I wouldn't want my child up in space either." Before leaving, Chrysalis used her magic to pass Anthophilia over to Raven Inkwell. "Me? Uh...alright then." Raven would take that job while everyone else would be up in the stars. "It's just a baby. I can handle it. Safe travels." "Before that, Pegalysium has also promised to assist us. When we reach space, stop near Pegalysium to bring them along, understood?" Chrysalis ordered. "Gotcha, bug lady. All of that will be done as soon as possible. Well, time to go." Jackie bid farewell before witnessing the door close via the control of this mysterious unicorn. "Ah, hold on...you'll all probably need protection since we're in space. Don't want you suffocating. Unless you have a spell for that." "We wish." Chrysalis and the guards all said. Alas, they didn't have a spell for that. But if they did, it would be incredibly useful in so many ways. "Oh well. Let me take charge of this thing." Instead of the mysterious unicorn piloting this ship, Jackie offered to do so. The Mysterious Unicorn said nothing in response to this. She just let Jackie do so, choosing not to pilot it anymore. Jackie was dependable enough to do so. The unicorn would walk off, leaving the pilot room where everyone else was, prompting Chrysalis to follow her. If now was a good time to find out who she was, this was that moment. A moment where it was just these two. Outer Space. Galaxy Tower. An unpleasant sight had shot into Ash's eyes, as well as Fluttershy's and Twilight's. When moving through the tower in space, they came across a sight that was caused by the Rift. Unconscious ponies could be seen on the floor, next to all the rubble caused by this conflict. They all lay there, each defeated by Galaxy Master and the power of the Rift controlling his body. "Guys! Are you alright?!" Ash rushed over to them. "They don't look injured at all." But Fluttershy was the first to notice how none of them had injuries. Despite all the rubble and their current status, not a scratch, tatter or bruise could be fine. If anything, they were all completely fine, just unable to move. "Whatever attacked them must've not been that serious if that's the case," said Twilight. "Either way, we should get them somewhere safe. But where is safe at this point?" "I don't know." Ash picked some of them up. He placed one pony on his back and held the other in his arms. "Let's try finding Hoopa first to send them all home. Wherever Hoopa is..." Ash had yet to know about the cosmic veil around the tower and the fact that they were all in space. All he focused on was finding the source and getting those who had been harmed back to health as Twilight and Fluttershy carried the rest. Meanwhile, the Rift had currently been frozen and paralyzed by Bertha and Sci-Twi. However, it did not spell defeat. If anything this only held it back as within the body of Galaxy Master, absurd durability was one of the benefits. "Is that your best?" Galaxy Master taunted as this entire time, Bertha has been trying to knock him out, using Mamoswine's Earthquake while he was frozen. Alas, that didn't happen. "Nothing?!" Sci-Twi gasped. "How can that be? Don't tell me Ash made this character indestructible too..." That would be terrifying to think about but not impossible. It wasn't uncommon for children to make their characters so strong to the point where they could not be harmed or even taken out. "I told you. This character is unbeatable." The Rift cackled. "Hit me as many times as you want, it won't amount to anything. And besides...nothing's stopping me from using all this burning cosmic energy to free myself or the Pokemon I've summoned." "Tch." Bertha scoffed. "What do we do now, Ms Bertha?" Sci-Twi asked. "How do we deal with this?" "There's always a way, Twilight. We just have to find it. For now, let's get this frozen body to the authorities." "That's impossible. Very impossible." But the Rift knew why this was most likely never going to happen. "You have yet to realize where we are right now. Or even what's surrounding this area. Or even...what's approaching this tower!" Right on cue, a roar managed to pass through the vacuum of space, being audible to various ears. Bertha and Sci-Twi wondered where that roar came from. It would only make sense for it to be from the outside. Alas, they had no idea what was truly outside. They certainly weren't under Equestria right now. "That roar..." Bertha gasped, recognizing the sound of that roar. A second one came through that was also incredibly familiar. Sci-Twi on the hand had no idea who this roar belonged to. But Bertha knew exactly which individuals possessed these two roars. After all, she comes from that very region where the roar was recognizable. Soon, Fluttershy and Audino would hear it. They heard it with the most clarity thanks to their hearing. It prompted them to stop in their tracks along with Ash and Twilight. They both recognized these roars. It was all too familiar to them as not only did it belong to beings that they've met before, but also, the alternate variation of them from another realm. "Isn't that...Dialga and Palkia?" Fluttershy managed to recognize those roars as Dialga and Palkia. "It's not just Dialga and Palkia." Twilight shuddered as her pupil shrunk. "They've been summoned here to the tower...It's their Rift counterparts." "Rift Counterparts?!" shouted Fluttershy. She was already told about Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia before. But now, there was a chance she'd get to see them in physical form. Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia had broken through the unknown realm where the Cosmic Wall could be found, forming a crack through space. Applejack witnessed this for herself before then seeing these two Rift Variants of the Time and Space Creators burst out. There was now a gaping hole in space and out of them came these Rift-Pokemon from another dimension. They responded to the Rift's call as they had half of its power within it with the other half being Arceus' power. The tower was their target but there was still the veil of Rift Energy in the way. Of course, the Rift wouldn't call them if it knew that one of them could get through. And one of them could. That would be Rift-Palkia and its power to warp space. By using its massive wings, it flapped them once to warp space. Twisting and turning, the veil of Rift energy was warped via this cosmic power, opening a way for the Rift Duo. Of course, there was another issue. These two were as large as the real Dialga and Palkia, completely ineligible to fit inside. But Rift-Palkia even had an answer for that, being sentient and smart enough to see when there's a problem that needs to be sorted out. The same went for Dialga as there was a semblance of Arceus in both of them after all. Once there was a way into the tower, it used its power once more to shrink itself and Rift-Dialga down. Only to a manageable size that allowed them to enter. Everything was sorted out as they then phased through the Galaxy Tower without needing to use the entrance. Applejack still couldn't believe what she witnessed. She recognized them as Dialga and Palkia, wanting to believe they were there to help. But judging by their alternate appearances, a bad feeling entered Applejack's heart. That bad feeling would be correct. After phasing through, Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia appeared before the Rift, Bertha and Sci-Twi, having a manageable size that still made them look absolutely intimidating in every way, mainly for their otherworldly appearances. "Mamo?!" Bertha's Mamoswine was the first target. He was so occupied with keeping the Rift frozen via repeated Ice Beams, he wasn't prepared for what came from the side. Rift-Dialga entered, bashing its body against the Ice-Ground-Type, ending the continuous Ice Beam and any potential Earthquakes. "Mamoswine!" Bertha gasped as Mamoswine was knocked her way. There was a quick save on Sci-Twi's part, pulling the Elite 4 Member away before she was potentially struck by her own Pokemon. But poor Mamoswine was forced to be knocked back, tumbling on the floor. As for Rift-Palkia, it did the honour of freeing Galaxy Master from his icy prison. By using its spear weapon, the ice shattered with a singular stab that was filled with Arceus' light and Rift Energy. "See?" Galaxy Master melted away all the ice via cosmic heat. "It didn't last long. One way or another, I would've freed myself. That's the kind of character Galaxy Master is. So you two can just forget about your odds." Rift-Dialga and Rift-Palkia then stood next to Galaxy Master as his bodyguards. It was a truly imposing sight. Seeing a cosmic entity working alongside two larger cosmic entities. One controls time and the other controls space. "Dialga and Palkia? No." Bertha said. "Are these the Pokemon Ash and Twilight saw in that dimension?" "Exactly. These are my Pokemon! And also Arceus' creations." The Rift boasted while giving some credit to Arceus. "You see, time and space will always be under my control, somehow, someway, even if I'm weakened. Dare to carry on?" "I dare." Bertha showed no fear in front of them, holding out the rest of her Poke Balls, ready to truly go all out. In the face of Legendary Pokemon, going all out is always the correct option. "As to be expected from an Elite 4 Member. You don't know the meaning of the word 'Fear'. Unfortunately, you've already stood in my way and wasted too much time already. I need you to just go down and lie there as soon as possible. And thanks to these two, that can be made possible." "We'll see! Go, Hi-" Just as Bertha was ready to unleash her Pokemon, Rift-Dialga took action. And in the best way it could to stop Bertha's movements. With a flash of its eyes, it stopped time. Just like the original, it had the power to stop time, albeit briefly. This time stop wouldn't last long, forcing the Rift to act quickly. And so it did. By using its power, it flicked its fingers once, pulling the Poke Balls away from Bertha's hold. The time stop lasted for 3 seconds. And once it ended, Bertha soon felt nothing in her hands. Only emptiness as her Poke Balls had been snatched. "Looking for these?" Taunting here, Galaxy Master revealed that all five of her Poke Balls, excluding Mamoswine's Poke Ball, were within his grasp just from that 3-second time-stop. "These are my Pokemon now. But don't worry. Once this is all over, you'll have them back." "I still have my Poke Balls!" However, Sci-Ti still had hrs as the Rift couldn't get those out in time. "Pikachu. Can you carry on?" "Pikachu!" Alpha Pikachu still had some energy in him. And if he were to fall, the rest of his teammates would take care of the rest, especially since two of them are stronger and faster than him. "That won't be happening. Palkia! Now!" By the command of Galaxy Master, Palkia would once again manipulate space. Much like Rift-Dialga, there was a limit as these two were merely just variants of the Creation Trio with weaker powers. But they were still efficient. Rift-Dialga could only stop time for about 3 seconds while Rift-Palkia could warp space to a minimal level. But even this minimal level in this area would beneficial as immediately, Sci-Twi and Pikachu were being pulled away by a strange gravitational shift. "Huh?!" Unable to control their own movements, the space around them was split in half by Rift-Palkia. And just as the Rift wanted, it was away from Bertha. Bertha felt her gravity change but this one only pulled her closer to Galaxy Master while away from Sci-Twi. "Ms Bertha!" "Don't worry about me, Twilight." But even without the rest of her Pokemon, Bertha remained calm. She still had Mamoswine too, so all was not truly lost. However, Sci-Twi was getting further. "You can use this opportunity to do something else. I can handle things from here." "But-" Just as Twilight wanted to say more, the doors automatically opened for her, cutting her off from this room and into the next. Bertha faced the two Rift-Legendaries, only having her Mamoswine left. "Still want to go down like this? Good grief...Perhaps, your old age is getting to you, Bertha." Galaxy Master shrugged, seeing Bertha as hopeless and even pitiful. "What a shame..." "Think that as much as you want, Rift. Besides...I've yet to tell you why I do not see you as unbeatable in that body. It's best that I say it now." "And why is that? Going to bring up Luna and Darkrai once more?" "But it makes too much sense when you think about it. It also makes sense as to why you've yet to stop me. Galaxy Master isn't quite unbeatable, is he? Not when he's tied with Princess Luna. I may be in the same boat as her if I'm being honest. But without the rest of my Pokemon, even I have to admit when the odds are stacked against me." "They are, aren't they?" "But...your weakness is that you can't quite stop those who are on your level." Bertha then revealed the major weakness. "Or at least close to it." "Hm?!" This made the Rift shoot up. Bertha was on to something. "The outcome of this battle would've probably ended the same way with you and Luna. But not anymore. However, it confirmed what I believed. There are limits. And on this tower, there are Pokemon Trainers who have what it takes to defeat you. I'm already from a generation that is only hanging around and sharing stories and wisdom. But this generation exceeds mine and possesses trainers of greater strength. Cynthia is even a trainer of this generation too to an extent. What will you do when facing her? Or worse..." "That's enough out of you!" The Rift didn't directly respond to that statement. And that was enough for Bertha to feel that she was correct. "Dialga! Palkia!" "Everyone has a weakness somewhere. It just takes time to fully take advantage of that weakness. I trust in everyone else to do what they can to defeat you." Bertha thought to herself before then commanding Mamoswine. "Earthquake!" "Mamo!" Mamoswine was faced with three different cosmic beams. Each of them from these cosmic beings. With a stomp on the floor, the biggest Earthquake yet had been unleashed as two different lights clashed against each other. "Bertha!" Sci-Twi was dragged far away thanks to Rift-Palkia, ending up in an entirely different room. At this point, she had no idea which area she was previously in. All she remembered was the fact that the battle took place in a hallway. But this place already had enough hallways. "Ms Bertha!" Running around, Sci-Twi tried finding a way back to the Elite 4 Member, running through as many doors as she could, screaming out her name. "What do I do now...?" She took a moment to ponder her next move. What was next? At any moment, she could run into one of the opposing Pokemon but there was a chance for her to run into a familiar friend. Sci-Twi only had Pikachu, Zorua and Spike with her at this point. Plus, the size of this tower wasn't helping at all. But with so many individuals in this tower, one of them was bound to encounter Sci-Twi. Footsteps were heard. These footsteps came closer to Sci-Twi's vicinity. Ready to protect her as always was Alpha Pikachu while Zorua would just continue to hide. It worked out for her during all of this after all. And who exactly arrived? Friend or foe? It was a friend. Running through those doors was Arcanine. Princess Celestia's Arcanine to be exact. And joining the Legendary Pokemon was Cynthia, who was set to try and find Ash or even Applejack. Solace came to Sci-Twi's heart after seeing them. "Hah...it's just you two." She sat down, completely relieved. "Good to see another familiar face." "Are you alright, Twilight? Are you hurt anywhere?" Coming to her aid was Cynthia, seeing if there was anything wrong with Sci-Twi at the moment. "No...but I think I'm getting a migraine from all of this noise. I wish I was home right now or at least in one of these comfy beds that the Pokemon Hotels have." "I'm afraid we won't be able to reach home at this rate, Twilight." Cynthia knew the truth, ready to reveal it to Twilight Sparkle." You see...right now, we're in outer space." "Outer space?!" There it was. Now Twilight knew where the tower was currently at. Going home wouldn't be possible in this instance. Just as she screamed with disbelief, another rumble went off just to match it in unison. The conflict raged on but so far, the odds were in the favour of the Rift. Vengeance against Ash was only growingfrom this point. Now that it summoned two Rift Variants of the Creation Trio, the tower may not survive at all. But help was on the way in the form of more Canterlot Guards, Chrysalis and her Changelings plus Jackie. If the mural was anything to go by, the potential outcome appeared grim. But much like the current Pegasus of Destiny, that mural can change. It was only a matter of who does what and what happens next as the journey continues. Chapter 911 End.
