//------------------------------// // Parasitic Steal // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Alola. Poni Island. Poni Plains. Resolution Cave. Day. The Dread League was attacking once again. Across different regions and that involved Poni Island. Led by Opal Vivacity, four demons from the Box of 100 Demons had been unleashed, attacking those that were enjoying a jolly and lively moment at Poni Meadow during the Pokemon Festival. A Typhon Demon that caused a destructive hurricane, a Bandage Demon that could control anyone that was caught up in its bandages and a third and fourth demon that had yet to be seen. But while they attacked everyone, the main individual exempt from this was Fluttershy, who to the vampires was a secret vampire thanks to a past experience at Sweet Apple Acres. Two of her Pokemon had been caught by the Bandage Demon, now under its control. Audino and Raboot. Only Bayleef remained as she was cornered by her own Pokemon, the vampires and the two demons that were most active right now. "So. If we assess things, the best option is to submit, if you ask me," Opal commented. "You can live like a vampire. How fun is that? All the advantages are there. Late night events, faster flight, specialized magic and so on. "Sorry. But I still greatly refuse. Even if I still have some of it in me, I don't want to become a vampire ever again. And I don't want to join you." Fluttershy was still rejecting this offer from her heart. But of course, she showed her kindness in this instance as well. "B-But that doesn't mean I think living as one is bad. Everything you said sounds nice from the magic, the events and everything. I'm sure it'd be fun to lurk around, take deep bites and say things like bleh, bleh, bleh." "Vampires do not say that! We don't say bleh, bleh, bleh!" Aggravated by that, Opal raised her voice, smashing her hoof against the wall as everyone, including the demons, had been startled and intimidated by her. She panted with aggression in her voice before calming down. "Excuse me. Anyway...by force it is. Get her." This was to be expected as the Typhoon Demon with its Gecko appearance suddenly held its seemingly average-sized lizard arms out, only to discover that they could expand. This Typhoon Demon was hard to describe, making it all the more arcane as the bandages would move in as well. "Bayleef!" But then there was Bayleef, the only Pokemon who would protect Fluttershy. Though Fluttershy's life wasn't in danger, Bayleef still felt the urge to use her Fate-Changing Leaf. She jumped in front of Fluttershy, unleashing her leaf. And for the first time, Opal would witness just how it works. The second the arms of this Typhoon Demon and the bandages reached Fluttershy, one of the leaves from Bayleef's neck came flying out. With just a single tap on her nose, not even a lengthy or impactful touch, the abilities of her leaf kicked in. In the blink of an eye, a silver flash went off, eclipsing the entire part of this cave. Reality had been altered via Bayleef's own will but just for one purpose. Everything was warped, starting from the direction of the bandages and where the Typhoon Demon was looking. It was all so fast but in the eyes of Opal, she saw a glimpse of just how this leaf functioned. And just like that, Bayleef saved Fluttershy from being caught. In a flash, they were both gone from this area, causing the bandages and the Typhoon to connect with nothing. "Wait, what just happened?" The other vampires couldn't catch a glimpse at all. The silver flash went by them so fast but only Opal saw it. "That's exactly why I need that power. To have the power to change Fate itself is just too good to pass on...This is why we have this demon to help us." Opal smirked, not in the slightest worried about Fluttershy escaping with Bayleef. That's when it appeared. The third demon that was in hiding. This entire time, it was concealed on the top of the cave walls before dropping. This demon came in the form of a red blob. Once the blob dropped onto Opal's head, that's when it spread. This demon had a parasitic spread, red lines that entered Opal's head instead of staying outside. The only visible on the outside was the blob on the outside. "This Parasite Demon will let me absorb any ability I so wish. And I think I'll start with...you!" Opal had her first target. Before she can go after Bayleef, she went straight for Audino. The red lines revealed themselves, instantly latching onto Audino's bandaged body. Audino couldn't resist at all. The bandages wouldn't let her. Thus, the Parasite Demon was free to feast on her unique ability. And of course, that would be her stupendous sense of hearing. The red lines pulsated, showing bulges as if they were a mosquito sucking blood. "Hoooh...!" There was a slight adrenaline rush within Opal's boy thanks to this. Now, she had access to Audino's advanced hearing. "Hoh. This'll do. Let's hurry. The Parasite will take control of my body if we're not quick." Using Audino's unique ability, Opal could hear so much. The sounds of the wind, the other conflict happening elsewhere within the cave and even sounds that she wouldn't hear from this vicinity at all. Audino's hearing abilities were truly wonderful. And thanks to them, she was able to hear wingbeats. The wingbeats of Fluttershy to be exact. She knew where to go thanks to those wingbeats. As for Applejack and Sceptile, they managed to rip apart some of the bandages that attacked them. Haxorus and Sceptile freed the victims held by the bandages with their cooperation. The main counter to this Bandage Demon was Sceptile's Frenzy Plants. All these large roots could intercept the bandages and fight back against them. "Ya'll doing okay?" Applejack spoke to some children who were just freed. Being under the control of the bandages left them bewildered once they were free. "Head on out of this cave as quick as you can." "Thank you!" The children thanked Applejack as well as Spike. The victims in this part of the cave had been freed by Applejack and Spike, legging it to escape as fast as they could. As for the bandages here, they had dropped in quantity vastly. Seeing the tides changing, the bandages slithered away retreating. "Nice. We scared it off." Spike said. "At least, I hope so." "It might be back. I've seen animals that act just like those bandages. Right now, let's find Fluttershy before anything else. But, we might have an easier time with you on the lead. Go, Riolu!" Applejack would make things easier for her friends. Finding Fluttershy could prove to be troublesome but there was the Pokemon for it. Delta Riolu. "Riolu!" "Riolu. We need you to look for Fluttershy's Aura. Can you do that?" The farmer asked. "Rio!" Riolu was on it. Now that they were finished with this area, Applejack and Spike could leave to find Fluttershy, who they were separated from. Haxorus and Sceptile would watch their backs in case any sneak attacks were made. Those bandages were scattered everywhere after all. They witnessed a trail of destruction made by the bandages and more recently the Typhoon Demon. Even as a regional variant, Delta Riolu could sense multiple auras. Most were innocent but the vicious ones were ever-present. All he had to was track one specific Aura and he would be golden. However, something prompted Riolu to stop. The Embalming Pokemon gasped as a sinister Aura was nearby. So sinister it made his heart jump, resulting in a screeching halt. "R-Rio!" "What's up, Riolu?! What'cha feeling?!" Applejack asked, knowing that whatever Riolu sensed did not warrant anything good. The sinister Aura was getting closer, approaching this very spot. A rumble in the blackness, a clouding of breath, and suddenly they were met with an enormous soul of flame and fury. Two fiery eyes stared at them with a harrowing excitement and another rumble raged in their direction. Two gigantic wings extend themselves fully on the back of this Fiery Entity. It was another one of the 100 Demons. "What is that thing?! A Pokemon?" Spike shuddered, holding out his Pokedex to see what Pokemon this could be. But of course, upon holding it up, the Pokedex did not react at all. "M-Maybe not." But very soon, it would appear as a Pokemon. The creature continues to glare at them, specifically Applejack as a vicious smile appeared on its face. By looking at Applejack, it was assessing her. And right after looking at the earth pony, that's when this entity of Flame and Fury changed its shape. Much like the intensity of the fire, it could move around frantically and with its haphazard body, this demon was taking on a specific appearance. The appearance of a Machamp. Four arms that were still made out of flames emerged as the physique of the Superpower Pokemon emerged. The demon got all of that from just looking at Applejack. "Machamp?" Applejack and Spike said in unison. "Machamp!" It even possessed the cry of a Machamp. And right after taking on the appearance of the Superpower Pokemon, it rushed towards them with its two legs steadily carrying its wicked body with maniacal energy "Haxorus!" Haxorus got in front of them, being the first to react. He quickly put his arms up to defend against the incoming arms of Machamp. Two of them. However, though this may be a strange apparition and replication of Machamp, once those fiery fists collided with Haxorus' arms, the impact felt very authentic to being hit by an actual Machamp. "H-Hax!" Haxorus staggered and growled from this blow. Not only that but there was also the fire to consider as the weight of this strike was nothing to ignore. The Axe Jaw Pokemon was launched via this singular double-handed blow. He passed by Applejack and the others, rolling and tumbling along the way. "H-Haxorus! Are you alright?!" Spike gasped. "You're in our way! Sceptile, Thunder Punch!" "Sceptile!" They couldn't waste any time on this demon. Fluttershy was still in peril. By sparking both his hands with lots of electricity, the Forest Pokemon would do his best to end this as soon as he could regardless of who or what he was facing. "Ma!" However, not only did this demon borrow Machamp's strength but its speed as well. In a blur, its arms moved up, grabbing Sceptile by the face with just one of them, stopping its attack. The two arms of Sceptile had easily been restrained by the usage of the other three arms. "S-Scep!" Right after he was restrained, the grip on his face was starting to tighten, causing immediate pain. If he was ever curious about what it felt like to be in the grip of a Machamp, now he would know. And it was not pleasant at all. These mountain-crushing hands were devastating to who was unlucky enough to be held by them. To make matters worse, the flames were sensitive to Sceptile's body, slowly burning his face. "Sceptile, no!" Applejack cried out before witnessing Sceptile cry out. "Let him go! Riolu, use Power-up!" "Rio!" Coming to the rescue of his senior was Riolu. The Delta Variant lunged in with a flow of orange energy, going for the demon's sides. He managed to land a strong hit on the demon's face, however, the impact was minuscule. There was a slight shockwave but he only managed to budge the head of the Machamp. "Rio?!" "Ma...Machamp!" By releasing one of its arms, it immediately swung at the Embalming Pokemon, delivering a bigger and harder hit than he could ever achieve right now. Riolu's eyes expanded as Machamp's entire bicep and arm were bigger than his body, sending the Dark-Fighting-Type flying. "Riolu!" Applejack quickly used her lasso to catch Riolu in midair. She made a quick save, pulling Riolu towards her before the results could be catastrophic. But there was still the issue of Sceptile being restrained. Applejack held Riolu in her hooves as enough time has been wasted at this point. They weren't getting to Fluttershy anytime sooner. "Haxorus! Head in there and use Close Combat!" But Spike would change that. "Xorus!" Along came Haxorus, finally recovering. He was going to get up close and personal with this Fiery Apparition of Haxorus. This approach forced the demon to use the rest of Machamp's arms as it read just what Haxorus was about to do. Finally letting go of Sceptile, he tossed the Forest Pokemon away before readying for the Equestrian Variant. "Hax!" Haxorus and Machamp collided. Both their fists met. They then exchanged a close quarter scuffle while Sceptile lay on the ground. He needed some time to recover as his face was burning from that tremendous grip. "Sceptile Hang in there!" Applejack rushed over. Both her Pokemon received some crucial damage to them in a matter of moments. She looked up to see Haxorus struggling against this demon. Machamp had the advantage of four arms and being able to punch at blistering speeds Haxorus tried keeping up as best as he could. The only advantage Haxorus had was that he was a Dragon-Psychic-Type in his Equestrian form. They did manage to trade blows as Haxorus wasn't going down so easily. Much like how the flames were dangerous to Sceptile, thanks to his Dragon-Typing, Haxorus could resist them, though the heat was still tremendous enough to affect him. "Applejack! Uh, I think it's best if you go on ahead and find Fluttershy." Spike suggested. "Better to do that than stay here and deal with whatever this thing is." "Thanks, Spike. Can you keep going, Riolu?" "Rio!" Riolu could continue searching for Fluttershy's Aura. Nothing was stopping him from doing so. Sceptile, while receiving a bad burn on his face, could still stand and continue. Everything would be left up to Spike and Haxorus. "Good luck, Spike!" Applejack gave her last words before departing from this area. Spike would do his best to keep this demon at bay and give Applejack all the time she needed to find Fluttershy. "I got this. Maybe some extra help will do. Go, Goodra!" Spike saw that Haxorus was having a hard time against this demon that simply copied the appearance of a Machamp. Assistance was required. With the launch of the Poke Ball, Goodra had emerged. "Goodra!" "Help Haxorus out! Surf!" "Goo...Dra!" By taking advantage of the fact that this demon was made out of fire, Goodra conjured a wave of water from his bare hands. He then smashed the water into the ground, expanding its size tremendously. It went from being the size of his hands to become the size of a wave, crashing toward the enemy. "Ma?!" The demon, during his exchange with Haxorus, noticed the incoming wave. Even the demon was aware that despite what it was, the elements were still a massive factor. Sceptile was weak to Fire, Haxorus resisted it and this demon was weak to Water as to be expected. Haxorus jumped back, allowing the bulk of the wave to meet with the demon. The waves crashed into the Fiery Apparition Demon, already affecting its flames just from the intensity. "Yes!" Spike cheered as it was a direct hit. Even the demon had to acknowledge how crucial this was. But alas, if only it were that easy. Immediately after having the wave crash into it, the demon changed it up. It looked at Spike next the same way it looked at Applejack. With that same grin, much like before, the haphazard flames around its body altered itself. In a flash, another change occurred. The flames were still being affected by the water but the massive wave had been blown back via the emergence of another Pokemon that the demon had copied. This time it turned out to be Haxorus. The demon directly copied Haxorus' appearance, specifically the Equestrian Variant, throwing Spike and the others off guard. But that wasn't the shocking part. It kept the four arms of Machamp as they were now covered in Haxorus' scales. "Huh?!" Meanwhile, Fluttershy was still on the run. She and Bayleef ran far enough in the cave to witness some light. And where there was light, there was a way out. However, this light was minuscule as the sun's rays were minimal thanks to the darkened clouds. "It looks like a way out, Bayleef!" Fluttershy cried out. "We'll be out and-" However, it wasn't as easy as she was hoping. There was one problem. The Typhoon Demon. Appearing right at the entrance was the Typhoon Demon, creating a vicious wind pressure that not only stopped them both in their tracks but knocked Fluttershy out of the air. With such a massive demon that could match the size of a hurricane, it was hard to try and conceal herself. And it was worse considering what Opal now possesses. After Fluttershy was knocked to the ground, along came Opal and the other vampires. Thanks to the power of Audino's hearing that was borrowed by the Parasite Demon, Fluttershy was easier to find. Not only that but the actual Audino was still under her control, making this search ten times easier with two effective senses of hearing. "Bay!" Bayleef was Fluttershy's only form of defence. The pegasus stood close to Bayleef, shuddering at what she was faced with. Typhoons, Vampires, Vicious Bandages and her own Pokemon. "Are you surprised by how fast we found you? This parasite has so many advantages you sometimes forget the disadvantages it brings along. You forget that it has a mind of its own." Opal VIvacity commented as Fluttershy had no more pathways she could take. The final pathway which was the entrance was blocked off by the Typhoon demon while the one she came through was blocked by the vampires and the bandages. "Oh, that's another advantage. You get to use the Box of 100 Demons when you're in the Dread League." Opal added. "Such as this Parasite. Once it's on your head, it can take any ability you so wish, such as the amazing sense of hearing I took from your Audino. Which is exactly what I'm also going to do to that Bayleef of yours." "Bay...!" "The only problem is that...this Parasite gets too excited a lot of the time. No one can control it when it's out for too long. But the time it does give you is amazing." "I still won't ever give up what I have! You're not taking Bayleef's power or me!" Fluttershy held Bayleef's hoof. "Besides, there's a limit to that Parasite, right? So you can't have her power forever." "If I have the time," Opal smirked. "If I'm quick enough before this Parasite loses it, I can permanently have the power to change fate by my own will instead of this demon. I just have to be quick about it, that's the only issue. So...You know what's coming next! Get her!" "Ra!" The controlled Raboot, the bandages, the vampires and the Typhoon advanced on Fluttershy. All of these forces were overwhelming and the only thing that could stop it was the leaf. But Fluttershy took another route first. "Let's try the Counter Shield, Bayleef! It has to work! Spin with Magical Leaf!" "Bay! The Counter Shield was the perfect alternative. By getting on her back, Bayleef conjured mystical leaves that had a vibrant pinkish glow to them. And with her body swivelling about, a frenzy of leaves started flying frantically. Counter Shield was always an amazing defence as it ended up hitting back the bandages, Raboot and the vampires. But not so much the Typhoon. The Typhoon simply unleashed a powerful gust of wind that blew the leaves way, abruptly ending the Counter Shield. After doing so, the Typhoon Demon entered the cave by transforming into a snake, slithering with whirling fangs. "Bayleef! Please, use Ancient Power!" "Bay!" Bayleef jumped back up, quickly using the cave itself to her advantage. By harnessing the power of fossils, she summoned ancient rocks from the ground, unleashing them at the Typhoon Demon. The demon and its serpentine body had crashed into the rocks head-first, resulting in some pushback. There was one advantage the Pokemon had over many. Infinity Energy. The Typhoon Demon counted as an embodiment of the skies and thus anything Rock-Related could work. This was only possible because of the Infinity Energy, otherwise, any other rock would've phased through or have been carried away. "Great! Now use-" But before Fluttershy could say anything else, Opal made her next move. She flew in, grabbing Fluttershy from behind via a wrap-around on her mouth. "Mmm!" "We don't need any of that." Opal menacingly commented as the bandages joined her, wrapping around Bayleef's legs. "How about I use my magic to mess with one of your senses? Maybe your sense of-" "Bay!" Seeing her trainer in that position gave Bayleef extra strength. She used brute force alone to rip off the bandages with her teeth. Instead of using her leaf, Bayleef would attack Opal Vivacity directly. But the bandages and the other demons would get in her way. "Sorry, no can do. There's such thing as a...forcefield." One of the vampires said as right on cue, a forcefield had been summoned. By all six of them. Bayleef crashed into this forcefield that blocked off this part of the cave, preventing her from reaching Fluttershy. On the other side, Bayleef was left with the Typhoon Demon while Fluttershy was left with the bandages and the vampires. The Typhoon Demon continued its assault, attacking Bayleef while she was backed up in a forcefield wall. It sent a ferocious gust of wind that pushed her into the forcefield. Bayleef was bombarded by this crushing gust of wind, dealing continuous damage to her in the process. "Raboot!" Then, along came Raboot, using Flame Charge. While Bayleef was on the forcefield, unable to do much, Raboot joined in by crashing his flame-cloaked body into Bayleef, dealing super-effective damage. "B-Bay!" "We just need to find a way to bring the vampire out of you, Fluttershy." Opal continued while Bayleef was being bombarded by the Typhoon Demon. Audino walked up to Fluttershy, looking down at her trainer with only her azure eyes which couldn't move at all. Fluttershy was distraught to see her best friend in such a controlled state thanks to these bandages. There was also Raboot who was on the other side, continuously bashing into Bayleef. Fluttershy hated what was becoming of all of this. She was too outnumbered to do much. "B-Bay...!" But there was still the ace-in-the-hole. Bayleef's leaf. No matter how great the numerical odds are, that Fate Changing Leaf can change the tides. Bayleef couldn't use it on Fluttershy since she was blocked by a forcefield. But it could be used on herself. A leaf left Bayleef's head, touching her legs. The wind did almost blow it off course but it was close enough just to work. With just one touch, the other part of Bayleef's fate-changing power had been revealed. Not only could she alter space and reality but time itself. She suddenly reversed everything that has happened so far. That silver flash went off as Garnet saw it again. A glimpse of what the leaf could do. Everything had been reversed. The conjuration of the forcefield, Raboot's Flame Charge, the Typhoon Demon's assault, Fluttershy's restraints and so on. But it wasn't by much. It was only by a few seconds based on what has occurred. But to guarantee Fluttershy's safety, Bayleef would warp space as well, having the power to mess with each important force in the universe, albeit with the risk of her leaves. In a flash, the scenario had been changed. Opal gasped as she was no longer holding Fluttershy. The bandages were no longer around her hooves either. Instead, by warping Time and Space, fate had been changed to the point where Fluttershy and Bayleef managed to exit the cave. One minute, they were within Resolution Cave and the next, they were out of it. Opal gasped, spotting the outside as if this entire scuffle never happened. "All the more reason I need that power!" Now, this drove Opal further. Warping Time and Space was too good to pass on. "B-Bay..." And as always, Bayleef's weakness was showing. This power may be amazing but it came with a cost. Bayleef's leaves. The leaf on her head and some of the leaves around her neck had been removed after she changed fate twice. A massive chunk of Bayleef's head leaf had been taken off just to make that change possible, bringing harm to the Leaf Pokemon. "Oh, no! Bayleef!" Fluttershy hugged Bayleef who was already groaning through the pain. She looked up, seeing that the Sun wouldn't help heal Bayleef at this point. Not when it was blocked off. So as long as the skies were blocked by the Typhoon Demon, Bayleef couldn't regenerate her leaf. To make matters worse, Opal and the others were still approaching. The vampires didn't have to worry about the outside at all thanks to the dark clouds. If anything, things haven't gotten easier for her at all. Bayleef would still fight, however. Though she was in pain, it didn't render her immobile. "Bay...!" Bayleef was ready to take on what was coming her way. And it was quite a lot. Whether she has the attack necessary to stop this or risk another leaf loss, she would do anything to protect Fluttershy. "Figures...there's a weakness to it. Oh, well. Everything has a weakness. Meaning, you can't keep it up forever!" Opal chuckled. "You're mine now!" "Gotcha!" Alas, that wasn't the case. A third party had joined the game. Large vines came flying in, intercepting the bandages. Those vines smacked the bandages away while the remaining ones went for Fluttershy and Bayleef. And instead of sensing danger, Bayleef sensed something friendly. That was to be expected as Sceptile was the cause of this. Applejack, Riolu and Sceptile had arrived. Arguably on time since Bayleef changed time itself around that one area. "Tile!" Sceptile pulled them both away right before the other bandages could approach. Bayleef's leaves weren't needed this time. "Applejack! Sceptile! Riolu! Oh...Thank Celestia." A relieved Fluttershy said before being held by Sceptile. "Tch." Annoyed, Opal scoffed and kissed her teeth at Applejack. "I would've thought those bandages dealt with her and e everyone else by now." "Bayleef ain't looking so hot. You've been having trouble with these two." Applejack observed Bayleef's torn leaves. "No need to worry. Spike and I are already handling this." "Thank you, Applejack. But...they've already got Audi and Raboot. And I don't know what to do." Fluttershy whimpered and shuddered, glancing over at her two friends that were fully in control of those bandages which seemed endless at this point. "We do." Applejack and her Pokemon stood tall. "They're bandages at the end of the day. Nothing a good cut can't solve." "Really..." Fluttershy gawked before pondering. "But why don't Raboot's flames burn up the bandages? Unless the bandages don't allow that from Raboot. Then maybe..." "Move aside, cowgirl! You don't have anything that I'd want!" Opal bellowed. "Vampires...I hate vampires." Applejack scowled. She has some experience with Vampires much like Fluttershy. Specifically, the Vampire Fruit Bats from a few years back. So this was personal. Very personal. Applejack already had a large reason to show hostility towards them since they attacked Fluttershy. But now that reason has been doubled. Her drive to defeat these vampires was at an all-time high. The Dread League weren't done yet. Not until the biggest goal here was achieved. Retrieving Bayleef's power. The conflict at Poni Plains wasn't over yet as the journey continues. Chapter 889 End.
