//------------------------------// // Secret Vampire // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Alola. Poni Island. Poni Plains. Poni Meadow. The Pokemon Festival. Day. "She's a vampire?!" The vampires who were hiding in the bushes bellowed after what Opal Vivacity revealed to them. The secret vampire that Opal discovered was none other than Fluttershy. Apparently. "Not so loud...! That one Pokemon has incredible hearing." Opal hushed them, referring to Audino. They were lucky that there was already a massive crowd to distract Audino's hearing. "But yes. That yellowish-looking pony. I can sense it from her." "Hmm...Not us." The vampires had to disagree, collectively shaking their heads. "She doesn't look like a vampire at all. Doesn't even give off those vibes." "Obviously you all can't sense it. I can. But I can see your point. She has no fangs." Opal responded as when seeing Fluttershy speak and chuckle, her teeth were normal. "Those wings are the same as her coat." The same with her wings. There was nothing vampiric about her. "She's just an average pony with a Pokemon that has the same palette as her." "So...Why did you sense a vampire within her?" "Because it's dormant within her. She definitely doesn't know but she's a hybrid. Most likely not by birth but by some circumstance. So since she's probably one by circumstance, that explains why there aren't any vampire qualities noticeable on her. The only other vampire species I can think of...would be a Vampire Fruit Bat." "Vampire Fruit Bat? Those troublesome guys" A vampire groaned as that name was familiar to them, unsurprisingly. "Why do we even consider them vampires? They're not even at Magehold." "A vampire's a vampire. And if I'm being honest, I think we can add a new one to Magehold. And she doesn't even have to be from there." Opal had another motive. Add Fluttershy to Magehold and to an extension the Dread League. "Queen Rosa won't mind." "Alright then. So, what do we do about this? Which demon from the box are we going to use?" "That pony I've talked about so far is known as Fluttershy. Fairly popular thanks to certain events. And that green dinosaur Pokemon of hers has the ability to change fate thanks to those leaves. It's a useful ability for her friends but oh, is it just downright annoying for anyone having to face it." Opal rubbed her hooves, already having something in mind. "We'll send out a few demons. But there's one demon I want to try. And that one will steal that Pokemon's ability for us. The ability to change fate." Now was the time to strike. Opal was ready to unleash some of the 100 Demons and the vampires would assist in whatever way they could. By opening the box, four malefic streams were unleashed. As for the vampires, Alola was the sunniest region by a mile so changing those clouds upon their arrival was a good call on their part. But even if they were free to roam around without many issues, the demons would do most of the work for them, "Oh. Is it about to rain?" Meanwhile, Fluttershy looked up, spotting how the clouds had darkened, hiding away the Sun completely. This was all for the vampires since Alola was so sunny. "Here in Alola? Might be considered rare." Applejack added. "But Tapu Fini exists so..." "Where do you wanna go after this? I was thinking maybe Kanto." Spike, who was still being carried by the Oricorio suggested another region for them to venture. "We don't visit Kanto that much except for when we go and visit Ash." "Hm-hm. Kanto. Sure!" Fluttershy was all for it. Their next destination would be set in stone. That is until Applejack says something then that decision was only slightly pressed into the stone at the moment. "Kanto sounds-" Applejack was just about to do it but something drastic interrupted her. Unexpectedly, the winds had intensified. But it wasn't a gradual shift in pressure, instead, an instant burst of wind emerged, unleashing a loud howl that startled everyone. "Oh!" Applejack held onto her hat as it was almost blown away. A typhoon had been birthed once those clouds gathered. The winds blew ferociously to the south, interrupting this jolly moment as the typhoon already formed. "A typhoon?! Right now?!" Spike gasped as everyone, including the chipper Oricorio, started departing from Poni Meadow. No one was risking being caught up in this typhoon that soon summoned a destructive hurricane, picking up the flowers. "M-Maybe now is a good time to go!" Fluttershy picked up Raboot as her friends followed the crowd. The hurricane was mainly focused on the south and to an extent the north. East and West were the only clear places. At least, for now. As for the vampires, they scattered. Opal focused on Fluttershy, aiming to find her in a secluded spot. And this typhoon was definitely the way to go. Mainly because it wasn't an average typhoon. Jet-black eyes formed within the clouds themselves as well as the hurricane. A wicked smile with crimson-red fangs appeared as this was one of the 100 Demons. Opal was casually walking next to the hurricane, unphased and not even budging for a moment, similar to how some Pokemon such as Rapidash can choose what their flames can do to certain individuals. Resolution Cave was South from here as the caves were flooded by the crowd. However, even here, they weren't safe. One of the 100 Demons had appeared within the cave, making a striking entrance. Breaking through the cave walls were bandages all of a sudden. Large bandages burst out of the walls in massive droves, startling everyone as this was the last thing they expected to see. The first group to witness these bandages were snatched by them. The size was enough for people, ponies and Pokemon alike, wrapping around them. Not only that but the strength of these bandages were enough to bring down parts of the caves, only amplifying that risk. Spike was met with one of these bandages which frantically moved across each pathway. "Gaha!" Spike came to a screeching halt as his face was almost grazed by it. Soon, multiple of them showed where Applejack and Fluttershy were located. "What's going?! Bandages?!" Applejack backed up. "Someone must've been injured terribly for them to appear," Fluttershy added as she wasn't too intimidated by them, making Applejack lower her eyes. "The only ones who'll be injured are us!" Applejack pulled Spike out of the way as the bandages came zooming in. After saving Spike they smashed into the ground, missing their target completely. These bandages were not soft at all. They were as hard as rocks from the power they exhibited. But the moment Spike was saved, right in the middle, another bandage appeared. Specifically, it ripped through the ground below, appearing in this part of the cave. The strength of its ripping in the middle of the ground split the cave in half. It was another close call as Applejack and Fluttershy were almost caught in the middle of it. But that was just the distraction. More bandages showed up just to blindside Applejack, Spike and their Pokemon. They wrapped around their hooves, tails and legs, having Applejack, Spike, Equestrian Axew and Sceptile where they wanted them. The objective was to get them away from Fluttershy as the bandages pulled them each away while wrapping their bodies from bottom to top. "Wait!" Fluttershy exclaimed as she wasn't grabbed by the bandages at all. Instead, she was spared. They had yet to attack as her friends were pulled into different pathways. Fluttershy, Audino, Bayleef and Raboot attempted to after them, only for a mass of bandages to block out the pathway, standing in her way. "Raboot...!" Raboot took action. He knew one thing. Bandages were very sensitive to fire so this was the right opportunity to fight back. He used Flame Charge, igniting his body in a burst of scarlet flames before taking off. With brute force, Raboot would smash into the bandages. While the bandages seemingly avoided Fluttershy, they didn't hesitate when it came to the rest. Raboot was one of them. The bandages opened up the pathway, causing Raboot to miss his Flame Charge. Once they juked him out, the bandages grabbed Raboot by his legs, waiting for when the flames disappeared. "R-Ra?!" "Raboot! Bayleef, quick! Use Magical Leaf to cut them up!" "Bay!" Bayleef 's body illuminated green as she jumped into the air. Then, light-green leaves quickly circled her body, flying out in droves. Bandages intercepted those leaves, deflecting them. It looked like the bandages would've gone straight for Bayleef, startling the Grass-Type. "Bay?!" But that wasn't the case. The bandages understood that Opal Vivacity needed Bayleef as well. They completely passed the Leaf Pokemon, going for Audino instead. "A-Audino!" Audino was hit by a barrage of bandages before being knocked back. "A-Audino!" The Hearing Pokemon wailed before tumbling on the rock-solid ground. Raboot's entire body had been encased in bandages thanks to the attempts to stop the rest of Fluttershy's Pokemon. The same would soon be said for Audino. "Audi!" Fluttershy gasped as now she had to deal with two of her Pokemon being in danger except for her and Bayleef. "Bayleef! Please, try and use your leaf here!" "Bay! Bay...!" The best thing to do was to try and use her leaf to change fate. This did seem threatening to warrant the usage of her Fate-Changing Leaves. However, that's where Raboot came in. Or rather, a bandage-wrapped Raboot. "Boot!" Interrupting Bayleef by kicking her in the back of the head was Raboot. He used High Jump Kick to make his entrance, knocking the Leaf Pokemon over and interrupting her special ability. "B-Bay!" Bayleef slid on the ground, eating the rocks, unfortunately. Fluttershy couldn't believe what she just witnessed. With her very own eyes, she saw Raboot strike Bayleef and especially at a time like this. "Raboot?!" A stunned Fluttershy cried out before seeing what became of Raboot. He still had his signature and recognizable figure and shape but the rest of his body was covered in these bandages. The only thing from his body that could be seen were his eyes. Other than that, Raboot was essentially a Mummy. A Mummy that was under the control of this Bandage Demon. "Ra...!" Raboot groaned while within the bandages. It wasn't just him though. Standing up behind Fluttershy was a larger figure, casting a shadow over her. Fluttershy's pupils shrunk, knowing who was large enough to cast this shadow. "A-Audino...!" Audino was now under the control of these bandages as they captured her body too. To make matters worse, the bandages also managed to grab rocks, controlling them as extra weapons just in case. Fluttershy's own friends were the main weapons of the bandages, leaving the pegasus and Bayleef to an unprecedented and unexpected scenario. A few seconds ago, the same was happening to Spike and the others whilst they were being dragged across the cave. Their bodies hadn't been trapped yet but if something wasn't one, they would be soon. "Only one thing left to do...Axew! Grow!" "Axew!" Axew was the ace-in-the-hole for this one. His small body was already close to being captured by the bandages. As the bandages were about to wrap around Axew's head, that's when it happened. A flash and outburst of Infinity Energy, Rift Magic and Equestrian Magic had emerged as a golden light, blowing away the bandages from Axew's body. Or rather, Haxorus. His body grew in seconds, breaking the bandages with his imminent height and weight increase. "Haxorus!" Haxorus was here. And upon arriving, he gripped onto the remaining bandages around his surroundings. Spike was on the verge, only for Haxorus to slice them apart with his bare claws. "Hax!" Haxorus didn't stop there. He started swinging his claws frantically by using Close Combat. Applejack and Sceptile were saved at the last second thanks to Haxorus. A successful save on Haxorus' par. Little did all of them know that these bandages had a controlling force on them. "Thanks, Haxorus..." Spike sighed. "Fluttershy! She's still there!" Applejack stood, adjusting her hat without taking the time to catch her breath. "Where are we even?" "I don't know. But do you think those bandages are connected to that typhoon?" Spike asked. "This all seems awfully too intense all of a sudden." "Maybe. I don't know, Spike. We'll figure it out after we find Fluttershy." There was no time for questions. Not when there was a typhoon and bandages roaming around. They had been split up from Fluttershy, making this a full-blown search and also a way out of Resolution Cave. However, the four of them would come to realize just what these bandages were capable of. The people, ponies and Pokemon who had first encountered these bandages had appeared. When trying to find the right pathway to reach Fluttershy, that's when they appeared. Covered in bandages and completely under the control of this Bandage Demon were the victims. Just like Raboot and Audino, their bodies were restrained with only their eyes being completely visible. "Oh...what is this?" Applejack lowered her hat in disbelief. At the same time, the sound of the typhoon was getting closer, meaning the hurricane was approaching as well. The Bandage Demon had full control over them, using its victims as weapons. This involved Pokemon Moves and Unicorn Magic. The majority of Pokemon here were Oricorio as they were used first. "Isn't that everyone from Poni Meadow? Creepy...!" Spike shuddered as Haxorus got in front of him. So did Sceptile as these two reptile Pokemon, despite seeing the eyes of the innocents, were still dedicated to protecting their trainers. "Corio!" The Oricorio were launched at Haxorus and Sceptile, initiating an attack by using Revelation Dance. "Sorry about this, ya'll! Sceptile, Leaf Blade!" "Haxorus! Use Dragon Claw!" "Sceptile!" They had to defend themselves somehow. Both Dragons had summoned draconic energy around their claws before swinging in unison. The Oricorio were knocked back thanks to its, much to regret of Sceptile and Equestrian Haxorus. But from how aggressive the bandages were, their options were thin. The best they could do was try and free them even if they were completely encased.d "Haxorus!" Of course, they had to deal with the normal bandages that hadn't trapped anyone. Those were just as dangerous if not more. Left and right, front and back, Sceptile and Haxorus started swinging as much as they could. At the same time, Applejack and Spike stayed close to their Pokemon in case they were caught by the bandages as well. One of the Pokemon captured by the bandages was an Alolan Marowak. From within the bandages, it could exhibit fire. A burst of ghostly blue flames were unleashed, blasting Sceptile for super-effective damage. "S-Sceptile!" "Corio!" One of the Oricorio could still dance even in the bandages. Though the bandages now control their body, their traditional and signature movements still existed. A Sensu Style Oricoro had used Revelation Dance, channelling Ghost-Type Infinity Energy before kicking Haxorus square in his face. "X-Xorus!" Being that he was now a Dragon-Psychic-Type as an Equestrian Variant, that was a super-effective blow, staggering the Tusk Pokemon. But some more came his way. Mainly from Unicorn Magic. An array of magic was thrown at the Dragon-Psychic-Type, harming him some more. While Unicorn Magic didn't hurt him as much, it was still enough to do something. Haxorus tumbled for a bit, giving the bandages the opportunity to try and grab him. "Frenzy Plant!" "S-Scep...Sceptile!" That's where Sceptile came in. To combat something so frantic, he had to make something frantic himself. Luckily, there was just the move for the job. Sceptile stuck his hands in the ground, summoning giant roots. These roots intercepted the bandages, smacking them away from Haxorus. "Thanks for the save, Applejack! Okay, Haxorus! Let's focus on freeing them all! Close Combat, now!" "Sceptile! Keep using Frenzy Plant to back Haxorus up!" "Haxorus!" Now it was time to fully focus on freeing them. Haxorus delivered the first attack, smashing his feet onto a Ferrothorn that approached him. He then did a tail swipe, smacking away a Pa'u Style Oricorio from getting the jump on him. That's the one thing he needed to be careful about. The bandages were so abundant that they could catch him at any moment. Luckily, Frenzy Plant was there to defend him as these roots ferociously fought against the bandages, giving Haxorus all the time he needed. Haxorus was on a roll, slugging away any bandage masses that came his way. And with his claws open, he swung it directly at one pony and one human. Haxorus put his all into that swipe, managing to cut some of the bandages apart. A successful swipe as the middle of those bandages were torn apart, freeing the human and pony that were trapped within it. Now, Haxorus and the others could understand just how durable they were. At the end of the day, they were just bandages but they had the strength of a rock. "Great job, Haxorus! Keep it up!" Spike cheered before hopping onto Haxorus' shoulder. "Let's cut 'em up too, Sceptile! Leaf Blade!" "Tile!" Sceptile would indulge in slicing these bandages. He was met with five victims who were thrown at him. The Forest Pokemon approached them each with his bladed leaves extending. In a flash, he dashed past the victims but with style, he managed to cut up those bandages. Those five victims were free too, dropping to the ground dazed and bewildered. "Hope you're doing just as good as us, Fluttershy." Applejack said to herself, hoping that Fluttershy was handling this scenario just as well. Arguably, probably not. Right now, Fluttershy was on the run with Bayleef. From her own Pokemon. Audino and Raboot were now hostile towards Fluttershy and Bayleef, causing them to flee. Sparks of fire from Raboot's Flames were set off, setting various parts of the cave ablaze. And thanks to Audino's Hyper Beam, the destruction was amped to a larger degree. However, these were only meant to try and cut Fluttershy off. The bandages knew that Fluttershy was needed just for Opal. And to an extent Bayleef, thanks to her Fate-Changing Leaf. But unlike Fluttershy, Bayleef was free to harm. Bayleef fought back against the bandages, using Magical Leaf to cut them the second they came close. But more of them would just show up to overwhelm her. "Wait, you two!" Fluttershy tried talking to them but for once, this wouldn't work at all. She certainly didn't want to harm them either as Raboot ran on the walls just to catch up with her. However, no harm would be done to her but some restraints were needed. Raboot leapt off the walls, coming in hot with a High Jump Kick. Bayleef received a devastatingly strong High Jump Kick, staggering her before knocking the Leaf Pokemon away. "B-Bay!" Bayleef crashed into the walls because of this. "Bay...!" The kick was stronger than expected, leaving Bayleef on the ground to groan and whimper. "That's enough!" Fluttershy got in front of Bayleef, being her shield as the bandages were interrupted by her appearance. They wouldn't make any further movements since Fluttershy was in the way. "Let my Pokemon go! Please!" "Mmm...Can't reason with a demon, sadly." A voice replied to the Pokemon Caretaker. At last, someone else who wasn't caught by the bandages. But unfortunately, it was the one who summoned the demons in the first place. The bandages halted their actions along with Raboot and Audino just to make way for the culprit. Appearing here with her fellow vampires was none other than Opal Vivacity, showing herself to Fluttershy for the first time. "Demon?" Fluttershy repeated. "You mean...these bandages?" "That's right. Nice eye. Don't worry, they won't get you. After all, I'd never send them after a fellow vampire. Unless they tick me off." Opal giggled. "Pleasure to meet you anyway." "Wait! You're the Dread League?!" It all clicked for Fluttershy. The demon, the wings and especially the fangs. Plus everything else that was mentioned. "Ooh...Why now?" "Why now? Call it our majesty just venting." Opal shrugged. "Someone just had to get in the way of her plans. Well...someone already is but now there's another party added into the mix. Anyway, that's not the biggest reason why we're here. We're here for you, Fluttershy." "Me? Why me?" "Opal here says you're one of us. You're a vampire." A vampire added. "More specifically..." Opal stepped forward. "A Secretive Vampire. You're definitely not full-blooded or even appear half-blooded. But I can feel it within you. There's something vampiric about you, Fluttershy." "Vampire..." This made Fluttershy think. How could she be a vampire? That is when it hit her. There was only one instance of her ever being a vampire. And the first time she was made aware of them. The event that took place at Sweet Apple Acres. Everything from the Vampire Fruit Bats, the Stare, Twilight's Spell and Applejack's Orchard. All of it involved smaller-scale vampires and her becoming a vampire as well. Or more specifically, a Bat Pony. "B-But I was a Bat Pony back then! I'm not a vampire!" "It's the same thing. You're just a slight deviation from a vampire, making you less vampiric than many But a vampire's a vampire as I always say. You may no longer appear as a vampire but somewhere in you, it's lying dormant, waiting to show up. So...Having another one of our kind back at Magehold is always welcomed. Even if this is the very first time." Opal held out her hoof, offering Fluttershy to come along. "W-Well...I don't want to become one! Not again." Fluttershy immediately rejected this offer. She didn't think about it or ponder. She put that event past her after all. "Eh. Expected that." Opal sighed in disappointment. "But, that doesn't mean we're giving up. You're still coming with us. And you'll live like a vampire. Besides...how do you expect to fight back against this?" Opal wasn't just referring to the bandages. Right on cue, blowing apart a large chunk of the cave and appearing was none other than the Hurricane that came from the typhoon. That Hurricane was also a Demon, making its full appearance. Fluttershy could now see what kind of demon she was gazing upon. Resembling a Gecko two smoking eyes stare at her with agonizing spite, and another howl rages from its hollow mouth in eerie joy. Its massive head sits atop a broad, sinewy body. Mystical electric powers crackle through its hide and horn, appearing to have symbols around them, perhaps a remnant of even stranger times. The creature moved closer with two legs firmly carrying its reptilian body with collected energy. A spiked tail whirls behind it as jagged bones protrude along its ridge. "Oh my...!" "Ah, but that's not it. There's also that Bayleef we need. The power to change fate itself is too good to pass on. So there's one more demon just for that." Opal would reveal another demon. This one wasn't as bombastic as the rest though. It was secretive, making it all the more dangerous. Fluttershy found herself in a stunning position. The Typhon Demon had appeared as Alola was currently facing some potential peril. With the vampires active, Poni Meadow and Resolution Cave were already under attack. And on top of that, Fluttershy was in danger of being captured just for the sake of adding another vampire, a secretive vampire to Magehold. Only time will tell on how this will all unfold as the journey continues. Chapter 888 End.
