//------------------------------// // Princess, my Princess // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Sinnoh. Solaceon Town. Solaceon Town Contest Hall. The Pokemon Festival. Afternoon. Today, a Pokemon Contest was occurring at Solaceon Town with one of the coordinators promising a Legendary Surprise fairly soon. The opening stages of the contest were about to begin as the halls had been lit up, followed by the crowd cheering. "Welcome to another Pokemon Festival Exclusive Pokemon Contest!" Announcing this Pokemon Festival, as to be expected was Marian. She appeared, greeting everyone to this Pokemon Contest which was open just for the Pokemon Festival. "It's only during this event where Pokemon Contests can be held in succession. And this time, there will be contests for 3 weeks straight! As always, let's welcome our judges! Someone you all know. Mr Contesta!" "Hello, hello. I bid you good morning and good afternoon as I'm looking forward to a passionate performance from all sides!" "Next is the president of the Pokemon Fanclub...Mr Sukizo!" "Today, I saw a Legendary Pokemon flying in the distance. I'll call that a sign of good things to come. It'll be Remarkable, no doubt!" "And finally, Solaceon Town's own Nurse Joy will be joining us today!" "I woke up a bit late today." Nurse Joy commented with a slightly messy hairstyle. "A massive festival event will do that to you. But I'm excited either way." "And for this contest, for those who missed out on receiving it, here's another chance!" Marian spun before holding out the Solaceon Ribbon. "The Solaceon Ribbon! A pristine and fresh one too! No matter what, we always have spare ribbons, just in case something goes wrong And as always, I'm your announcer, Marian. So now, let's begin with Round One! The Performance Stage! Where all of the gifted Pokemon show off their moves! And here is our first entrance!" Marian then turned to the curtains, ready to reveal the first coordinator. "You're up!" The first coordinator appeared. Celestia would have to wait as she was the last one to enter after all. This gave Celestia all the time in the world to prepare. Luckily for her, this was indeed a Tag Performance so both Gardevoir and Reshiram were viable. Although, the biggest obstacle to overcome was bringing Reshiram inside for the contest. Speaking of Reshiram, he was standing behind the building, peeking through the window of the Clothing Room. If anyone was there, they would witness a giant blue pupil. As for Reshiram, thinking back to the comment about Truths and Ideals, it made the Vast White Pokemon reminisce. He reminisced about a conversation he and Celestia had around 3 months ago. Something concerning Celestia's alter-ego from another universe. Daybreaker. Equestria. Canterlot. 3 months ago. "You still haven't found the world she's in? They must've found the perfect way to hide Universe 11." Celestia spoke to Reshiram, talking about Empress Twilight and her whereabouts. Currently, she eluded them to this day. All they knew at the moment was that she was currently at Universe 11. Daybreaker's home universe. Try as they might, Reshiram and Zekrom were unable to enter that one. Universe 11 was seemingly off limits, no matter how many of the Empress' forces they take down. "They do an amazing job at concealing themselves when it comes to that universe. Apologies." "It's fine, Reshiram. You tried your best. Truth be told...I would've done the same if I was being targeted all across different universes." Celestia chuckled. "I already have an array of concealment spells that I can offer. I mean, she is me after all." "About that. Do you fear that she's within you? Daybreaker, I mean." "Do I fear that she's within me? Truth be told, when I learned about Daybreaker's existence, I started thinking about how it was possible for me to become her. But, it dawned on me that I'm similar to Luna. So it's not farfetched at all. Right, Passion?" "Gardevoir!" Passion rapidly shook her head in disapproval. That was something she couldn't agree on with Celestia. "Hm? You don't think I could ever become someone like that?" Celestia translated as Passion refused to believe her trainer could emerge as Daybreaker. Aw, that's sweet of you, Passion. But it's still possible. You can be pure of heart but there'll always be something that gets to you. That seems to be the case with Daybreaker. After what Flurry Heart told me, I can see how she came to be." "Voir..." "But don't worry about that." Celestia flew over, patting the Embrace Pokemon on the back for absolute reassurance. "I won't let myself become Daybreaker. If something ever goes wrong, you will all be there to make sure that never happens. I'm sure of it." Reshiram nodded in agreement. If Daybreaker came out of her, he and many others would do what they could to stop it. Reshiram was already grateful for how Celestia took care of him during his weakened state. To let her succumb to that terrifying power would be unfair in Reshiram's eyes. On that day, Reshiram vowed to repay Celestia back for when he helped her. Current day. Solaceon Town Contest Hall. The contest went on with seven performances. All that was left was the final 8th one, which would be Celestia. Among these 8 coordinators, someone had eyes on Celestia, mainly for her appearance. While no one had figured out who it was, this one individual had her suspicions. She raised her sunhat, getting a closer look at Celestia, spotting her crown and how identical it resembled the Equestrian Regalia. Meanwhile, the seventh performance was over, leading to Celestia's turn finally coming around. "Alright then! Thank you for the performance, Miss Silver!" Marian announced as the last contestant went off. "Next up! Let's welcome...Celestia?" "Celestia?" The crowd repeated. That name was too well-known now to be ignored. They only knew of one individual who had that name. Princess Celestia, of course. "Here I am!" Celestia appeared. She jumped out of the curtains, gaining some impressive height and airtime before skilfully landing on the stage. Joining her was Passion, who simply floated next to her. "Ta-dah!" "Is it actually her?!" Many in the crowd started chatting upon witnessing this Human. That hair pattern was one of a kind and the only one who possessed it was her mother, Sunlight. "Hm. That's a Remarkable appearance." Mr Sukizo commented. "I could've sworn that she was a pony." "She is. But this sight is making me think otherwise." Mr Contesta replied. "Is that actually you? Princess Celestia?" Marian asked. "The resembles is uncanny if different." "It is!" Celestia didn't bother sugarcoating it this time. She figured that many would've caught on eventually if not instantly. The only one who was quick to catch on was that lady in the waiting room, wearing a sunhat. "Hello-hello! This is just my human form so don't worry or think about it too much, okay?" "W-Well! Glad to have you here with us! We rarely get princesses in Pokemon Contests. The only one who joins us is Princess Salvia." Marian added. "Glad to be here. Passion and I have been waiting for this~" "Gardevoir!" "Just you two? Uh, Princess. You need a second Pokemon for this tag performance." Marian noticed how Gardevir was the only Pokemon she had out. "You could send out your Arcanine right now." "I know. Just give me a moment. I need to do something!" Celestia decided to postpone her performance for a few seconds. She had a second Pokemon ready to perform. She just needed to get him inside. The Sun Princess then leapt off the stage before landing in the crowd, running up to the top of the seats. "Excuse me! Sorry!" Many wondered what she was doing. By now, any coordinator would've started performing but some adjustments needed to be made for Celestia considering the size of this specific Pokemon. The judges allowed it. Some would believe that they were only doing it because she was a Princess. A High Ranking Princess to be exact. "Hmm..." Celestia put her hands on the walls, feeling them out for a bit. She was exhibiting strange behaviours, no doubt. This was even many people's first introduction to the Ruler of Equestria. This wasn't what they were expecting. Meanwhile in the crowd, Cynthia simply just giggled at Celestia's carefree nature and how it leads her to do whatever she wanted. If anything, despite having the highest form of authority, this was the most freedom she felt ever. "Aha! This will do!" After feeling out the walls, Celestia decided to show everyone some magic. Her signature golden glow appeared around her hands. Afterwards, she cast a spell on the walls, sending a golden pulse across it. If she hadn't started yet, this would make for a perfect Contest Move. But the purpose of this spell had been revealed. It was a spell that ended up making the walls transparent. So transparent that not only could you see the entire outdoors but the sunrays could pass through here. More than that, whilst everyone was admiring the beautiful light that Celestia spread, their faces changed rapidly at the sight of who was standing outside. Reshiram would eventually be seen by everyone inside. Once those walls became transparent, Reshiram's body was visible to the eyes, startling everyone. "That's it! That's the Pokemon I saw earlier!" Sukizo gasped. "It's Reshiram!" Marian exclaimed, almost dropping her microphone. "That one Reshiram from Equestria?!" "Reshiram?" The lady in the sunhat commented before putting on a smirk. There was more to her than meets the eye. "Reshiram! Can you hear me?!" Celestia bellowed, hoping that Reshiram could hear her from here. He could as he gave a nod in response. "Hm, good. But I still think getting you inside will be better. This stage is big enough to fit you. So, lean up to the wall for me, okay?" Reshiram leaned his entire body up to the wall. Everyone backed away once the Vast White pokemon leaned forward, touching the building. It was a miracle that it hadn't trembled from this contact as some of the children got up to the walls just to get a closer look at Reshiram. "Okay then. In you come!" By using another one of her spells, now that Reshiram was up the walls, Celestia managed to phase her hands through, gripping Reshiram's fur. And with the power of magic, it looked like Reshiram shrunk as Celestia pulled him forward. She then revealed her wings s they materialized with a golden mystical aura. By using her wings, she took flight while pulling Reshiram inside. In a flash, Reshiram's body had passed through the walls, becoming minimal enough to avoid harming anyone. Once Celestia returned to the stage, that's when Reshiram's true size returned. Now the Dragon of Truth could finally enter the Contest Hall as he made his grand appearance. Upon descending, Reshiram touched the ground, causing a mild tremor which made Mariam jump. "There we go!" Celestia chuckled. "Amazing! We're going to see Reshiram perform?! How exciting!" Nurse Joy applauded as many were excited to see such a rare and powerful Pokemon take part in this contest. "This is new. But we're all for it! Okay, Princess Celestia! You're up! Go for it!" Mariam gave the call to begin. Everyone was looking forward to this and Celestia would make sure that she wouldn't disappoint. "Right. Let's start off strong you two! Passion, use Dazzling Gleam! Reshiram. Get ready and build up a Blue Flare!" "Gardevoir!" Passion went first. By using Dazzling Gleam, she encased herself in a flare of rainbows before leaping into the air. All eyes were on Passion right now as this sphere of rainbows then sent out rays. The rainbow rays then started spinning whilst Gardevoir levitated in the air. At that moment, she became a Disco Ball, lighting up the place. Then there was Reshiram. By raising his head, the Vast White Pokemon shot a powerful stream of light blue flames from its mouth that was enough to rival and surpass that of a volcano. At first, it looked like it would be directed at Passion, but that was not the case. "My turn!" Celestia suddenly took action. The second Reshiram's flames were unleashed, the Ruler of Equestria took flight, approaching the flames. Celestia allowed the blue flames to engulf her, startling everyone. Such powerful flames had come in contact with Celestia to the point where it made many of their hearts skip a beat, especially since there were ponies in this contest who would be mortified if anything terrible happened to Celestia. Thankfully, Celestia knew what she was doing. It was revealed that she was completely fine within the flames, twirling within them while they stayed focused on her body. Reshiram then transformed the stream into a sphere, encasing Celestia within it while also keeping it afloat. Then, Celestia mimicked what Passion had done. She used her magic to form a golden sphere around her body, copying the actions of Dazzling Gleam. The gold light mixed perfectly with the blue sphere, sending rays out while clashing well with Dazzling Gleam. Soon, two Disco Balls were in the air but Celestia was going to take it a step further. For her final act, she then brought the Blue Flare down as she and Passion descended. The flare was then split in half by Celestia's hands as it resulted in a colourful azure flash of energy. Surprisingly, Celestia had made it to the point where there wasn't any collateral damage. The magic coating was to thank for that. Azure and golden sparks flew everywhere once Celestia and Passion released their respective energies. And that was the end of their performance as it garnered instant applause from everyone. "Great, great!" Marian also applauded. "Had me worried there with that Blue Flare but it done so perfectly! Judges?" "Mm. Short but sweet!" Contesta gave a striking thumbs-up, showing his immediate love for this performance. "Seeing Reshiram perform only added to it. That Blue Flare combination was Remarkable!" Sukizo added. "Bravo! You could say this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! It certainly felt like one!" Nurse Joy gigged. "Well, that's that. We'll go ahead and see which of these 8 coordinators will make it to the battle stage! Only 4 of them will have the chance!" Celestia took a bow before then high-fiving Passion. They knew that they left an impression from all these responses. As for Reshiram, it was back outside. He couldn't fit in the waiting room, that's for sure. To return outside, Celestia would do a reverse of what she did prior to bringing Reshiram indoors. That meant pushing him through the walls. But now that Reshiram was made aware by everyone in Solaceon, becoming discreet was officially pointless as he wouldn't even bother trying to hide behind anything. When returning to the waiting room, the six coordinators applauded Celestia, especially the two ponies who were participating, proud and expecting nothing less of their ruler. Noticeably, the only one not applauding was that same lady wearing the sunhat from before. Instead, she was just watching Celestia from afar, crossing her legs. She eyed down the Ruler of Equestria from start to finish. From when she first entered the hall to her entire performance. As the results were coming in, showing who managed to make it, to no one's surprise, Celestia managed to earn a spot in the second stage. She won the crowd over for various obvious reasons. And as for one of the coordinators on that screen that made it, it was the sunhat lady. Or more specifically, Livadi. A former Team Plasma Member who had some connections to Equestrian Magic. After removing her sunhat, she looked at the results screen, seeing that Celestia made it. "This is good," Livadi said. "All I have to do is defeat that one pony...and I'll have my chance to tackle Princess Celestia. This should be interesting." Livadi was also a Pokemon Coordinator. First, she seemed to be a participant in the Pokemon World Championships. But now, she took on another occupation. Luckily for her, no one knew much about her. The only person she had to worry about was Princess Celestia after the interaction she had with one of her students, Adagio Dazzle. What plans did she have here, if there are any? "We did it, Passion!" Celestia and Passion held hands, dancing around with glee after seeing the results screen. "Oh, happy days!" "I can't believe you manage to find a way to bring Reshiram in." Premium Polish commented. "You're sure to win!" "Ah, let's not get carried away. Everyone else here has more experience than me after all." Celestia wagged her finger. "But, win or lose, I'll have fun either way." "Is that it? You don't care about winning or losing?" Just then, Livadi responded to Princess Celestia, grabbing her attention. She didn't bother to sugarcoat her appearance either, acing the Ruler of Equestria. "You should want to win considering your status." "Uhh...Who are you?" Premium Polish questioned. Celestia stood still, looking Livadi in the eyes. Luckily for Livadi, her appearance wasn't familiar to Celestia at all. Only her name thanks to what Adagio shared. She had yet to know who she was truly facing. "I don't mind winning or losing," said Celestia in response. "Even if I'm a princess." "Hm. Really? Not at all?" Livadi smirked. "Well, when I get the chance to face you...I'll let you experience one of these outcomes. You don't mind winning or losing, so I'll show you just how major the feeling of loss can be." "Hey!" Premium Polish saw that was an immediate threat, getting in front of Celestia and choosing to defend her. "She won't lose! Princess Celestia's too amazing to lose." "I Don't know about that..." Celestia giggled. "It'll just be a quick lesson. No big deal." Livadi shrugged it off. "I mean, I bet you've never lost before, have you, princess? Victories always come your way. Major victories. Such as the one you had with the invasion and so on. So, the feeling of losing terribly isn't a problem." "Gardevoir...!" Much like Premium Polish, Passion was being rubbed the wrong way by this lady. "So, I'd like to be the first to give you a major loss. And if you can see how serious this contest will get, you'll probably make a turnaround and claim victory. But we'll have to wait and see once that happens." Livadi continued but she didn't get much of a reaction out of Celestia. Celestia had a neutral expression. She wasn't truly offended by what Livadi was saying while Gardevoir and Premium felt some offence. Livadi walked off as it was time for her to enter the battle stage. "Don't worry about it, Passion." Celestia calmed Passion down, holding her shoulder. "It's like she said, we'll have to wait and see. I can tell you want to face here immediately. Right?" "Gardeovir!" "You'll mop the floor with her, right?!" Premium jumped, cheering for Celestia to dominate in that battle if it ever happens. "Right?!" "I can't guarantee that. But, it's best to show her by action rather than argue with her. That's something I learned long ago. There's no point in talking back. It will only fuel the problem. What better to end the problem than to show her?" "Well...Yeah, that's true." "Just you wait. I won't let any of you down." Celestia didn't bear a grudge against Livadi despite what was said. But she was going to prove her wrong otherwise. She had Gardevoir and Reshiram to help solidify that. At the end of the day, Celestia still saw this contest for what it was. Fun. And even if she had yet to know who she spoke to, the Ruler of Equestria, from all her lessons at a young age to now, wouldn't falter as the journey continues. Chapter 884 End.
