My Little Pokémon

Short: What it means to be a Ruler

Hoenn. Mossdeep City. The Pokemon Festival. Day.

"Thank you so much for increasing the popularity of my Battle Carnival. All of you." The owner of the Battle Carnival, along with his employees, all showed their highest thanks to Ash's party after what they did. "Our attention is sure to skyrocket from this."

"No problem. It was fun to be here too." Ash and everyone paid their respects. It was time for them to depart after that intense battle between Ash and Bertha where it was a rollercoaster of surprises.

"Sorry if we caused any major damage though," Twilight added, referring to how there had been collateral damage after what occurred with Hoopa. And some of their battles counted.

"Ah, it's fine! If anything, the collateral damage helps greatly! At the end of the day, everyone likes a little destruction when a Pokemon Battle happens. It's only natural." The owner saw this as a positive instead of a negative. Whatever helps with Business. "We'll fix it up, anyway."

"So, wait. Rayquaza really showed up? Seriously?" Rainbow Dash asked as she missed out on all the action. A lot of stellar moments, unable to be captured in her memories.

"And we missed it..." Cadence sighed. "Why'd we take so long to finish battling?"

"I think because we felt something excite us both." Shining Armor added." You felt it too, right? I felt like I could do so much more with Aegislash."

"I did too. But what does it matter if we missed such a big battle?" Cadence disappointingly replied. "Oh, well. At least we had fun. Wish we get a rush like that more often."

"Well, we know where we're going next. How's about we pay PokeStar Studios a visit?" Ash asked.

"Not yet. Everything's not in place for it to happen," said Cloudchaser. "It probably won't be made today or tomorrow. Might take some time until everything's in place."

"Celestia and Luna are the only ones missing, right? They're the number one actors for that Equestria History film to be completed. I'm sure they'll make it. This year's festival's three weeks long after all." Ash added. "But, we're still gonna have fun there. Never a dull moment at PokeStar Studios."

"We'll be doing Equestria's history? Didn't we already do that with the Hearth's Warming Eve play?" Pinkie quickly realized that this would be another variant of Hearths Warming Eve. The first was a play adaption and this one was gearing up to be a film adaptation.

"I'd love to see it!" Sci-Twi squeed. "I want to learn about your world's history too! Everything about your species and your magic!"

"Hang on! Where's the Witch?!" But Twilight had something bigger in mind. Something that she just now recalled. The young princess started zooming everywhere, trying to find the mysterious Witch who she had spotted minutes ago. "She was right with us! Where'd she go?!"

"No clue." Pinkie shrugged. "Must've gone off early."

"The spell! Maybe I can track her with this!" Quickly using the new spell she learned just to track down the Witch. It acted in the same as X-Ray Vision and Bioluminescent lights, intended to reveal any potential footsteps and who they belonged to. However, try as she might, she couldn't pinpoint the Witch's footsteps. All she could get were her friends, family and other civilians.

Nothing related to Ghetsis.

"Nothing! Gah! She was right there and I wasted all my chances on that battle!" A distraught Twilight pulled her mane, greatly struck that she didn't get her chance to speak with the Witch. The battle was too enthralling to look away. "This blows..."

"Well, she might show up again." Ash chuckled. "Plus, I learned something about her that you're gonna love to hear, Twilight."

"Really?! Tell me everything!" Hope wasn't gone yet. After Ash met her, Twilight grabbed Ash's shirt and jacket, demanding to know what he discovered from this mysterious lady.

"S-Sure..."

"Should we go and find your daughter now, your Majesties? Your older daughter from the other world I mean." Flash Sentry, who was still holding Baby Flurry Heart asked. Cadence and Shining Armor would depart because of this, heading for the older Flurry Heart. "We should really think of a new name for her for less confusion."

"That's our cue. Let's head to Unova!" The next destination had been set by Ash. It was back to the Unova Region, just to experience PokeStar Studios once more. But...let's hang around here a bit longer, okay?"

Equestria. Out in the mountains. Galaxy Master's secret hideout. The Galaxy Tower.

Over 30 Travel Spheres. And now, a large portion of Rift Energy from the Arcane Sea. All of it had been gathered by Galaxy Master. In this remote area where his hideout was stationed underground, Galaxy Master returned from the Arcane Sea.

However, he returned to the tower with minimal memories of all that happened. All he remembered was encountering Darkrai and retrieving energy from those seas. Everything else was a blur.

"Alright. I think we have enough to restore a decent portion of the Rift." Galaxy Master looked at what he gathered, including Lapras, who was storing all of that energy.

"It'll do perfectly." The Rift was also within this area. "With this much energy, I can interact more with the world around me. The best I can do is interact with you physically."

"Right. Here you go!" Now, he could begin restoring energy to the Rift. By grabbing the Travel Spheres and having Lapras unleash a stream of water, embedded with Rift Energy, it was all directed to this cosmic entity. The Rift stood still as the moment the Travel Spheres reached it, they were being absorbed like a vacuum. The stream of water swirled within it as well as a flash of cosmic power illuminated this secret base.

Pikachu and the others squinted their eyes at the sight of this flash. After receiving all that energy, the Rift seemed to expand in size. Its energies flared out with a greater vibrance, though it was all momentary. Just like that, the Rift had received a portion of its power back.

"So. How do you feel?" Galaxy Master asked.

"Better. But I'm still missing a lot. This Aura is like an endless poison. It weakened me to stellar levels that I could've never expected. I can do a bit more now, but I still need your help to gather some more. Don't stop focusing on the Arcane Sea but make sure to check everywhere else."

"No problem! We'll keep looking!" Galaxy Master snapped his fingers. "But...lately, I've been having these blurry visions. Certain events are beginning to escape my head."

"Don't worry about that. What you should worry about is how there's a new method being made to try and destroy you. You'll find out when it comes to you." The Rift departed, leaving Galaxy Master with a foreboding message.

"Hm. Well. Let's head out again, my friends." The fictional character faced the rest of his Pokemon. Another destination would be set soon but it was yet to be discovered which one it would be.

Johto. Olivine City. Afternoon.

Olivine City. A city where one can supposedly hear the melody of the sea. Located here at Olivine City were Princess Celestia and Cynthia. Of course, Celestia was still in her human form, having yet to revert back. The two of them could be found at Olivine Port, standing next to the S.S Aqua.

But while the two of them were conversing, having some sweets to eat, the voice of a tired-out child cried out. Crawling to this city with her bare hooves was a filly, soaking wet and approaching the direction of Celestia and Cynthia. That groaning voice was immediately recognizable to Celestia, grabbing her attention.

"That voice...Premium?"

"Finally! I caught up to you!" Premium Polish was here, soaking wet yet not malfunctioning. She planted her face in the ground, breathing in and out as she was a mess. "I've been trying to reach you for a while...Hoping to cut you off and surprise you wherever you went. But boy...you know how to get around."

"Apologies. I get too excited when it comes to exploring." Celestia walked over, picking up the android filly. "Look at how much smaller you are compared to me. How adorable!"

"You were already super tall..." Premium Polish groaned. "Did you need to grow any taller?"

"So, did you come here by sea? What did you go through to find me?" Celestia asked.

"I went through a lot. But it was worth it to find you." Premium grinned before her wet mane covered her eyes. "So, can I hang around with you please?"

"Of course, you can." Celestia raised her. "Right on time as we were just about to leave here. Our next destination is...Oh." The Sun Princess froze for a bit. "Where are we headed next?"

"Mmm." Cynthia shrugged, not having an answer to that either. "We're just moving wherever, aren't we?"

"Ah. Oh. I'd like to see Reshiram and Zekrom. Did you catch them, Premium?"

"I saw them fly off in different directions back at Equestria. I don't know where they are." The android shook her head like a dog, spraying water everywhere. "But...if you wanna go somewhere, how's about we check out a contest? Just saying."

"That's it!" Celestia raised her voice, adding the Royal Canterlot Voice into it. "I've done some battles...why not tackle Pokemon Contests?"

"Pokemon Contests? Alright then." Cynthia nodded. "You qualify in my eyes."

"Mhm. But...I'd like to add a fourth Pokemon to experience the Contest with me." She then gently placed Premium Polish down, using her magic to warm her and essentially rid the little android of any liquids. "I'd like to bring Reshiram with me. That's not a bad idea."

"Reshiram?!" Cynthia and Premium Polish equally gasped.

"Ah...isn't that a bit dangerous?" The android questioned. "Reshiram's kind of a big deal, Princess Celestia. He's like a Legendary Pokemon!"

"She's right. There are those who would want the power of a Legendary Pokemon for themselves. Even though your world casually has Reshiram and Zekrom roaming around...bringing it to a contest..." Cynthia added, thinking of what would happen if Reshiram showed up at a Pokemon Contest. While it would be surprising and interesting, there were some risks that came to mind.

"It doesn't matter to me." However, Celestia already made up her mind. "Legendary Pokemon or not...a friend is still a friend. Having Reshiram and Zekrom around Equestria helps solidify why I worked hard to make Equestria what it is."

"Really?" Premium Polish added.

"Mhm. For the longest, I've been limited from doing much except being the Ruler of Equestria. Making rules and adding laws. So much to do yet so little to experience. It wasn't until Pokemon came along and that all changed. I've never felt freer, honestly. That's what I built Equestria to be and exactly what my parents aimed it to be. It doesn't matter if you're a Princess or a Legendary Pokemon. You have all the freedom you can have at Equestria. And if anyone wants to try and get in the way of that, they'll have to answer to me."

Making her statement on her nation, the sun beamed beautifully behind Celestia. It was as if the Sun responded to her words. There wasn't a sign of her controlling this world's Sun anyway.

"That was beautiful!" Premium Polish teared up, crying oil as she was still an android. She and Cynthia then applauded Celestia for her speech along with a nearby Fisherman and the people on the S.S Aqua who managed to hear it.

"Couldn't have said it better myself. Truly, I couldn't. I'm not a ruler. Well, since you're set on bringing Reshiram along, let's go find this Dragon of Truth. And which Contest Hall would you prefer to enter?" Celestia approached.

"I still want to try it in my Human Form, so I'd say...Sinnoh! They have the best Contest Halls from what I hear!" Celestia pumped her fist. "Just wait a moment, Reshiram! Wherever you are, we'll enjoy today together!"

"Why can't you show that same energy with me, Magikarp?" After hearing her speech, the nearby Fisherman spoke to his Magikarp, desiring the same kind of energy that Celestia possessed within Magikarp.

"Magikarp."

"We have to get you dressed first." Cynthia snapped her fingers. "Although, one could say that you look the part in that outfit."

"You think so?" Celestia looked at her outfit. She then looked over at the S.S Aqua as all the people onboard gave approving thumbs-up. To many, Celestia's Human Outfit looked to be Contest appropriate. "Hm. So be it then. This'll do just fine."

"Do you need some practice, Princess Celestia?" Appearing on her shoulder was Premium Polish.

"No need. I've watched your practice sessions and other contests. I can do this." Celestia was fully confident in her abilities to perform contest moves. All that confidence pumped her up to be ready for whichever contest she tackles, even if she was new.

And seeing how quick she was to grow during a battle, Cynthia predicted that potentially, the same could be said for a Pokemon Contest as Celestia was without a doubt a natural-born prodigy. But those prodigal skills would have to be witnessed at a Pokemon Contest when the time comes.

Sinnoh. West end of Route 201. Lake Verity. Day.

Lake Verity. One of the three lakes that was symbolic of the water-rich Sinnoh region. It was the sister lake to Lake Valor and Lake Acuity. Arriving nearby at lightspeed was the Sea Temple Samiya, bringing along the People of the Water, Princess Luna and some ponies from the Crystal Empire who ended up coming along thanks to the lightspeed travel.

After showing up here, Luna and the People of the Water stood before the lake, here to do one thing. In Luna's magical grasp was a special Sea Temple Crystal that she made. It even appeared with a night sky material texture just to represent her.

"So. This is where you gather the light from Arceus?" Luna asked as they came here to add the final touches to the Sea Temple Crystal. Arceus' light.

"Either of the three lakes will work. We just happened to choose this one." Alo added. "But yes. Sinnoh is the one place most connected to Arceus. Long ago, we the People of the Water would come to one of these lakes just to gather the light of Arceus. All we have to do is throw it in the lake."

"That's it? I thought it'd be harder than that..." Luna shrugged before using her magic to launch the crystal. The Night-Sky-Patterened Crystal dropped into the lake, sinking immediately. "Now do we just wait?"

"Indeed. It takes some time." Alo replied. "So, we'll take our time too."

"Hm." Luna took the time to sit and wait for this magical process to finish. In the meanwhile, Luna would daydream. She rarely gets to dream during the night but during the day and the afternoon, that was a different story. At this time, Luna had various dreams that she could conjure.

Figuratively and literally. After gaining Lunar Ire's power, Luna's dreams could become visible in a cartoonish way. Above her head, clouds were forming as all of her dreams were stationed there. Luna dreamt mainly of Ash, as to be expected, envisioning him in a regal outfit. It wouldn't be too farfetched as Ash was the King of the Sea, though he doesn't wear anything befitting of a king.

Still having a large crush on Ash, Luna's dreams were mainly occupied with Ash, putting her face in a flustering expression. The People of the Water could visibly see this as Luna conjured them up to be physical. Possibly the only time they'll ever get to see someone else's dreams.

But during Luna's daydreaming and the crystal being powered up by Lake Verity and Arceus' light, a certain Pokemon responded to her emotions. Mainly her emotions. The emotion of love attracted a certain Pokemon to appear in front of the Princess of the Moon while her eyes were closed.

The People of the Water backed up upon witnessing this Pokemon. They stayed silent, only making minimal gasps as Luna had yet to experience who was in front of her.

"Spirit..." A voice cried out to Luna, causing her to wake up. Once those eyes slowly opened, she was met with the figure in front of her and the Pokemon that resides around Lake Verity.

"Hm? Gah!" She was jump scared by the appearance of this Pokemon, flapping her wings and falling over. Without shying away from showing itself, the small fairy-like entity had made an appearance.

The Emotion Pokemon Mespirit.

"Mesprit."

As the journey continues.
