Preparations
Mayor Mare trotted towards Town Hall Sugarcube Corner after a farewell breakfast for her assistant, Raven Inkwell, who was heading to Canterlot to work for Princess Celestia who had poached her from the Mayor. She knew she'd miss that mare but an opportunity is an opportunity. When she came in sight of Town Hall she noticed a group of seven ponies waiting in front of it.
Sighing thinking it another group of mare inquiring about the new stallion. She took a deep breath to say something when she noticed one of the mares was the weather captain Rainbow Dash. "My word." She said. "Rainbow Dash any changes to the weather schedule planed?" Rainbow shook her head as she answered, "Not this time. Me, Alex, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkamena, & Twilight have form a herd so we're registering it."
Alex stepped up and said, "I also want to take the historical preservation property." The Mayor of Ponyville smiled as she commented, "That's good to hear. Follow me and we'll get both out of the way." She then lead them into the building. Once inside Twilight & Spike helped Alex to get his home and the seven became a Married herd choosing opt out of having a ceremony.
Their next stop was Carousel Boutique where Rarity got Alex' measurements and a design for his clothes and the Mane Six each got a vest that had crest with a crescent moon, a domino mask, an open book and a sword. At one point Rarity said, "Dahrlings your blouses are over stressed again, you two are going to explode out of them if you do no…" At that point Fluttershy let loose a powerful, yet cute sneeze and her top ceased being clothing and became fresh cleaning supplies. "God/Celestia Bless you." Came the six voice chorus.
About an hour after that wardrobe failure Rarity was putting the finishing touches on Rainbow top. "You and Fluttershy should consider going about without clothing until the foals are born." Rainbow looked at Rarity as she snipped the thread and said, "Why? Normally you ask us to be careful and not to breath in too deep. Why the change of tune?"
"Because Fluttershy, Twilight & yourself are with foal." Rarity explains, "your breasts will be engorging themselves with milk until the your foals are born and as a result they'll be growing three times as fast." Rainbow Dash & Fluttershy nodded.
An hour later Alex was dressed in khaki shorts & shirt and shopping for supplies. Soon after he had a backpack that had been filled with supplies & tools and was heading into the Everfree Forest.
As he made his way to the Castle of the Two Sisters, stopping every fifty steps to carve runes of protection on stones on two sides of the path. After it was midnight, Alex reached the gorge that was within sight of the castle. Looking at the castle, after craving one last protection rune, he flew over and looked at the castle. "Sad that it one thousand years for ponies to work up the courage to ask Somepony to restore it. "Ok time to map and find a place within to live." For the rest of the night he wandered the castle, using his echolocation to map it. As the sun began to rise, he found a dinning hall, kitchen, and storeroom with enough magically preserved to last him several mouths. He set up base and constructed a message board. Then flew to where he entered the forest and set it up, leaving a message for his herd.
Over the next three hours Alex mapped out the castle before sitting down and committing the map to paper. He looked out a window and saw it getting light up. "Better spend time with the wives or they'll start arguing with each other. He gathered up the pages of preliminary work, planning to drop them of with Twilight so he could earn the stipend. After Which he took flight towards Ponyville.
Twilight woke up feeling nauseous and bolted for the bathroom and slamming the door waking Spike. Hearing sounds of a unicorn being sick, the young dragon got up and took out two pieces of parchment and wrote two letters. One to Celestia and one to Twilight's parents both announced the formation of the herd. Celestia's message contained the little Twilight learned about the enigmatic Thestrals and Nightmare Moon. He had just sent them off when a miserable Twilight came out. "Spike?" She asked. "Do you know what happened yesterday? I had gone to Alex's room after we heard him scream but everything become blurry and indistinct afterwards though I do remember what I learned in research." Spike sighed saying, "Rainbow & Fluttershy herded every claiming Alex's musk had made go into heat early" Twilight groaned as they headed for the kitchen.
Rarity was sitting at her drawing table as she began to plan out imarriage/herd bonding gowns for her and the girls. She smiled as she fantasized of when Alex would mate her. Her fantasy got so intense she ended up putting her quill down to touch herself.
Rainbow Dash & Fluttershy walked towards Town Hall intent on their tasks. Rainbow to check on the weather team. And Fluttershy to coax a family of foxes to move their den. Once there they split up Rainbow Dash heading inside and Fluttershy walking around the building.
Applejack got back to the farm she had just opened the door to Granny Smith sitting in her rocker looking miffed and pleased as punch as only a grandmother could. "Granny?" The ancient mare cut her off saying, "Apple Bloom let slip that you and five other mare's with a thestral stallion that literally dropped out of the sky. I understand yer bein' cautious about him. BUT ARE YOU OTTA YER PLUM MIND ALLOWING 'IM TO WANDER ABOUT THE EVERFREE WITHOUT ONE OF YER HERD SISTERS TO PROTECT 'IM FROM THEM THAR CRITTERS!?!" She grabbed one of Applejack's and dragged toward her room.
