The year passed very quickly after the Discord incident. Tia and Luna finished the school year with very good grades, and before I knew it, we were celebrating a new year, so happy 2019 I guess. Lara and the fillies, and Melissa's friendship grew stronger and stronger every day, even I got to met Lara in a very personal way. The people knew that Celestia and Luna were the ones that avoided the end of the world, and their opinions were divided. Some of them were even stopped us in the street to gave thanks to them, while others were very scared of their power, and even ran away when they saw them.
In school, they now were loved by almost everyone. Some kids still felt uncomfortable with their presence, but the great majority were pretty happy of having world heroines in their school.
Researchinc was facing a huge crisis beacouse of the Discord incident. Discord was now on a VERY safe container in the facility. I would like him to be free, but I understand that that's impossible, at least for now.
Another school year started, now we were out of home for most of the time, but that's not a problem for my mom anymore. Who'll ever say that she would be the one that become more attached to Philomena! They are practically the best friends now, and now the phoenix even sleeps on top of her head sometimes. She still sleeps on her nest though, except when it rains, then the fire bird decides to sleep with Bianca.
We also practiced the alicorn's magic very carefully. Slowly, but in safety, we were learning how it works. Now they could even levitate our car! No that they did it more than once though.
We even visited dad with the fillies once. They were more than happy to meet the man that was the closest thing they had to a father. The other prisoners stared at the fillies during the visit, but nothing out of the ordinary happened.
And even if I hope that it stays this way, something is telling me that it would not; something will happen, something serious. The power of the alicorns is just too big for the fillies to control it, and I don't think that researchinc will stop trying to put their hands in the 2 alicorns that now rest peacefully at my house.
My greatest concern is: they turned a bird into a phoenix almost by accident, could they do something similar to human beings?
Only time will tell.
