This was standard for a panicking Twilight — she was twilighting. Celestia explained the gist of what was happening, "The sun is angry, Twilight. Well, it has been for five hundred years. I was able to put a stop to its expansion with an intricate spell and amulet. It seems, due to its complex procedure, the protection lasts only half as long as normal spells: half a millennium." Twilight was shocked, her jaw wide open. "I did not tell you sooner because . . . I forgot about it," Celestia confessed. "So . . . " Twilight tried to speak fluently but kept stumbling over words while her brain was overloaded. "The sun was going supernova . . . you stopped it. . . and never told me? or anypony? and you just . . . forgot about it?!" "Hey, you try remembering something for five hundred years," Celestia scowled. "How do you forget something this important?" "A lot of things I do are important. They all blend together after a few centuries." "The death of the sun seems like a high priority to me." "Snap out of it, Twilight. You know better than to act like this."
