My Little Pokémon

Chilling Halves

Around 1,400 years ago. Hisui Region.

The Hisui Region. One day it would soon come to be known as the Sinnoh Region. There was were a few civilizations this soon-to-be grand region, but, far beyond that, there was a hidden one, located in the harsh icy lands known as the Alabaster Islands.

Away from the harsh snowstorms that populated a majority of these chilling land, the civilization stayed in a rather humid spot. But this tale was not about that civilization. This tale was about the woman who once lived here, but perished one day. A woman who was just as soft as the snow.

"Why are you doing this?!" The lady by the name of Yuki was currently in a threatening position. Cornered by other village people, she was being yelled at as flames had been lit on torches thanks to the power of a few Fire-Type Pokemon. This was a dark day for her. "What's going on?!"

"You came here, bringing nothing but terror and bad omens to us." A village person said to her. "So much of what we need to withstand the rest of the winter and onwards is now gone because of you, among other things!"

"It was an accident! I swear! It's just that...I come from another space separate from yours. I have yet to get adjusted to this world of yours."

"Excuses you won't save you from this!" Another one yelled at her. "You should've stayed in that space if you were this unaware of what you could do."

"But I..."

"We've tolerated you for long enough. You're too much of a danger...leave now from this world! Take your otherworldly curse away from here." The village people ordered. This lady of old seemed to come from not another land, but another space entirely. Bringing with her an unusual power that was deemed a curse.

Hated by those from this world after she came here out of her own curiosity, this white-dressed lady was chased out of the village. The people and Pokemon chased her away, forcing Yuki out of the village as she was also attacked from behind. Multiple attacks were thrown in her direction, almost hitting her, but she managed to avoid them all.

Thus, her frantic running led her to the harsh snowstorms. She was already lost in the mountains, far from the civilization that she once called home. If she dared return to her home, she would be forced out once again or even attacked. Immediately, the horrible and harsh snowstorm punished Yuki's body while also slowing down her movements.

She found it difficult to keep walking, but she'd rather advance than go back. But, she felt like passing out from all of this pressure. Her body just couldn't handle it.

She shuddered with an icy breath. But despite being in this frigid and harsh land. It looked like she would fall her all alone, until, up ahead, a cave had suddenly come into view. It certainly wasn't there the first time. But it was only by slowly walking through this ruthless area that this cave appeared.

And inside of it seemed to be a lady, sitting on a mound of rocks. This lady donned what looked to be a witch hat along with a black robe. Yuki squinted hard through the snowstorm, she had green hair and her eyes were crimson red, glowing in the dark cold.

"Please help me..." Seeking help, Yuki pleaded, taking help from this stranger. She wanted to do anything to survive at this point. "I-"

"You don't have to explain yourself." The Witch spoke. "I know all about you, stranger from another world. Shunned and forced out of your new home...and you have no way to return to your original home."

"I was..." She lowered her head, kneeling on the snow as her tears turned to ice, making mounds in the snow-capped ground. "After everything we went through...How could they?"

"Wronged by those you were close to. Forced out of there with months and years of happiness taken away. How tragic." The Witch let out an estranged cackle, not showing much sympathy for Yuki. "Right now, you wish to go home more than anything. But this world is so beautiful and that is why you came here in the first place. A shame. But...I can give you the best of both worlds."

"Y-You can? You can save me?"

"Oh yes. But, you're not the first one I've seen in this state." The witch pointed at Yuki, having sharp fingernails with red tints on them. "This is the only offer I can give you. I cannot save your life as the way you are now...but I can rebirth you and give you new life. You will be reborn in two bodies. The first is the creature known as Froslass. And as for your home, you will return there in the form of the lissome-shaped entities that live within that space...What of it? Will you take the options?"

She didn't have much of a choice. Her body was already damaged by the snowstorm and this was the only thing that could grant her the chance to live to see another day. At least, in two different bodies.

"Please. Do it." She took the offer as that was all she could do.

"Good." The Witch found that to be a pleasing answer as her crimson eyes flashed in a split second. And before Yuki knew it, she was suddenly sinking into the snow. The snow pulled the lady from another space inside as she writhed around. But that was pointless as Yuki's body was already weak from being in the cold.

"You will become one with the snow land itself. Your new life will begin in your old home and new home. No longer will you continue pining for your original home, for you will be in two places at once. The two halves from different spaces will split more than just your soul. One of you will be gentle as you usually are. But the other will incur a frightening and vengeful wrath. Sooner than you think." The Witch's voice was starting to fade away the further Yuki sunk into the snow. "But...there is one more thing."

"W-Wh-" She tried saying 'What', only for the snow to cover her mouth. Only her eyes were remaining as these were the last words that she heard from the witch.

"One day, your two halves will meet again. In one place and in one spot. Until then, it shall be you that creates the future legacy for all Froslass. If I were you...I'd wait until that special day when you will arrive at that spot, it will be up to you. When that day comes, you will know when your two halves will reunite." That was all the Witch said until Yuki's entire body became one with the snow itself. Only the laughter of the witch echoed before vanishing.

Afterwards, she was reborn. Into a Froslass. She was created by the snow itself via snow manipulation by the witch, who was still a mystery and was never seen again.

Once she became the Snow Land Pokemon, there was only one thing in her mind for this moment. Revenge. Revenge against those that betrayed, attacked, shunned and forced her. The flames of revenge burned greatly within Froslass as now she had the true power to exact that revenge.

The people of that civilization fled in fear once Froslass had attacked them. Froslass brought upon a terrifying storm of blizzards that was greater than what the people and Pokemon living here had seen so far. And would possibly ever see in their lives. The wrath of Froslass punished this town for pushing her away and when she let out a chilling cry, the villages could all hear the voice of Yuki behind it. And for slight moments, they could see the visage of Yuki pop out.

Those that managed to escape Froslass' wrath would go on to tell the story of Froslass and the legacy of the Froslass species would continue from there.

And as for the other Pokemon she ended up being reborn as, it took place in the world that she once came from. She had returned there in the body of a Pheromosa. The Lissome Pokemon. When she awoke, she found herself in the body of a shiny Pheromosa, but in this body, unlike Froslass, she had no recollection of the past. All she knew was that Ultra Space was her home, but this location in general was unfamiliar to her until she would get adjusted to it.

Equestria. Ponyvile. Carousel Boutique. Present Day.

"Pheromosa?" And in present-day, Pheromosa, who sitting on a mountain of pillows, had her peace disturbed for a split second. The Lissome Pokemon felt like she heard someone else calling to her from somewhere.

"We're off to PokeStar Studios, Sweetie Belle. Would you like to come along today?" Meanwhile, Rarity was off to continue her work as an actress at PokeStar Studios.

"Yes, please! Come along with us, Phione. Are we gonna make movies today or..."

"Mm-mm." She shook her head. I'll be busy working. But I'll leave you and your Pokemon to the studio. Pheromosa."

"Mosa." Their mode of transportation was Pheromosa instead of a boat, train or even a car. Pheromosa's speed was perfect and they could rely on her as the Lissome Pokemon picked the two ponies up from the floor. Afterwards, Rarity brought two straps over with her magic. One of them was meant for Pheromosa's back while the other was for her front. Phione and Sweetie Belle were strapped to the front and Rarity were strapped to the back.

"So, what movie are you in this time? You said it was a big one when you went there yesterday."

"Apparently, it's a precursor to what they call TV Show. I'll have to show you what those are especially. I lost myself watching one of them and a whole day almost went by for me."

"Is it that good?" Sweetie Belle questioned as Pheromosa gently left the boutique before then running at blitzing speeds. She continued to speak about this topic to her sister along the way. And during Pheromosa's swift movements through the land of Equestria, the Lissome Pokemon kept hearing that call yet again.

It didn't leave her head as it just appeared out of nowhere. And yet, the sound was familiar to her. She had heard it before. The sound was that of a Froslass' cry, which was a Pokemon she already knew about. However, there was a second layer to this Froslass cry that Pheromosa couldn't make out. It almost sounded human.

Unova. Virbank CIty. Afternoon.

They had arrived at beautiful Virbank City in southern Unova. But upon arriving there, something was amiss. When they showed up, there was an unusually large amount of snow in the way.

The three of them were stunned as this mountain of snow was unexpected. It certainly wasn't there last night as Fire-Types were being used to melt this ridiculous amount of snow.

"Wow...They went above and beyond for this movie. It's coming out into the streets too." Sweetie Belle commented, believing that this was part of the set.

"No. It's certainly not part of this set." Rarity shook her head. "This wasn't here yesterday. ANd it's so much snow as well. It's summer as well so..."

"Well, my little pony, there's an answer for everything. And unfortunately, you left 1 hour too early to see that answer." Someone had replied to Rarity. Upon hearing this voice, Rarity suddenly tensed up, putting on a grimacing expression as her head slowly turned to face the individual.

"Oh. It's you."

"Alberto."

"That's Baron Alberto to you, okay?" He corrected her. The man from Alamos Town, Baron Alberto, alongside his Lickilicky which was his signature Pokemon.

"What do you want now?" Rarity asked with a dry tone.

"Nothing. You can't always assume I'm doing something targeted to you." Alberto shrugged. "And for once, I'm not responsible for this mess right here."

"Oh. That means you know what caused this, right?" Sweetie Belle questioned.

"I do. I did say that Rarity over here left 1 hour early before it happened. All of PokeStar Studio was suddenly attacked out of the blue. Right under the nearly full night sky. A Froslass came over and caused a powerful snowstorm for no reason."

"Froslass did this?" Rarity turned to face the studio. "It doesn't look that bad."

"You're right. It isn't. It's fairly tame considering how cold Froslass can get. But honestly, she has some nerve attacking us out of the blue. Especially when I was about to deliver my most powerful line yet."

"Why did Froslass do this exactly?" Rarity asked. "You were here while I was gone."

"Like I said. No reason. But, since I know a lot about Froslass from my home region in Sinnoh, my guess is that she was looking for some new prey to freeze and take back home to her cave, per the norm. Obviously, she must've come here because of my good looks? Who can resist this?"

"Kh..." Rarity scoffed.

"I've never heard of a Froslass that attacks civilization like this. Don't they do it in the mountains or something?" Sweetie Belle added.

"They should. But we have one that likes to change her taste. Luckily, Lickilicky and I fended her off, preventing any further damage to not just the studio, but the entirety of Virbank City. You're welcome."

"Yeah right." Someone had interrupted Alberto though, making him rapidly swivel. Naturally, since this was Virbank City, the local Gym Leader would be present at all times. Roxie. "My Scollipede did the same thing."

"True. But I did the most work." Alberto bragged.

"Sure, whatever. Hey, there, Rare. Sweetie Belle." Roxie met face to face with her students. "Sorry for this sight right here. PokeStar Studios is closed for now."

"Aw..." Sweetie Belle was vastly disappointed by this. "I was gonna do something new and cool too..."

"Same here. I was invited to play a sick song for one of the movies. Oh well. Gonna have to wait until it's all melted away. But, Froslass could come back tonight maybe. There's gotta be a reason why she showed up in the first place. Especially during summertime too."

"Whatever the reason, she'd be smart not to come back here," Alberto added. While listening to the conversation, Pheromosa started thinking. Since Froslass had been brought up and was responsible for all this snow, it started to relate to the constant sounds of Froslass ringing in her head.

"Phe?" But then, it got worse. Pheromosa not only kept hearing Froslass' cry, but she soon turned around, slowly walking away from the group as her face was stoic and seemingly numb.

"Hm? Pheromosa?" Rarity soon noticed that Pheromosa was walking off in a zombie-like manner without even telling her friends. Just then, her walking speed had increased as any momentum that Pheromosa gains was bound to lead to some speed as Rarity ran in front of her. "Pheromosa. Are you alright, darling? Hello?"

"Mosa..." But she could only hear Froslass.

"Phi. Phione." Seeing Pheromosa's state, Phione used the Light of Arceus to pass on a message to Sweetie Belle as Pheromosa started running immediately, heading straight for the source of Froslass' cry.

"Wait!" Rarity bellowed.

"Rarity! Phione says that Pheromosa senses something." Sweetie Belle relayed the message. "She senses Froslass somewhere it sounds like!"

"She sensed Froslass? How?" Rarity questioned, unaware of the voices in Pheromosa's head.

"That Ultra Beast did, did she? Hm-hm. Excellent!" Alberto snapped his fingers. "That means that Froslass isn't too far from here. Correct?"

"Oh, she's going to her? From this distance. Not bad." Roxie approved.

"Thank you. My Pheromosa is-Wait! I shouldn't be standing around! Pheromosa! Wait!" Rarity galloped, along with Sweetie Belle, immediately following after Pheromosa, who was only going to build up greater speed. Luckily, all Rarity and Sweetie Belle had to do was follow the constant dust trail that was heading west.

"Here's my chance to stop that Froslass before she attacks again!" Baron Alberto aimed to follow where Pheromosa was headed. There was a chance he could encounter Froslass once more.

"Not if get there first." But Roxie was already ahead, following her friends. Alberto gasped before then also following the dust trail to see if Pheromosa was truly sensing Froslass nearby.

Pheromosa went west, ending up near Route 20 and Floccesy Ranch and Floccessy Town. Neither of these places would have a Froslass at all, especially in this weather where plants thrive the most.

There wasn't a trace of snow anywhere. But she could still hear her. Closer and closer, Pheromosa heard Froslass' voice, running past all the Pokemon that lived here and even avoiding the Floccesy locations. Froslass was somewhere else less populated.

Rarity and the others continued to follow her dust trail as she made it easy for them. That way, despite her overwhelming speed, they would have a way to find her. Pheromosa couldn't shake this voice away. But soon, the closer she was getting to Froslass, the more this human voice started to show up.

Eventually, Pheromosa came to a screeching halt. Now, the voices were no longer near nor far. They were at one fixated area. And it was right in between Floccesy Town and Pledge Grove.

"Pheromo..." She stood there, wondering where the remaining voices were coming from. But at the moment, there wasn't a sign of Froslass. That is until she showed herself.

A blizzard had kicked up all of a sudden in this grassland area. The cry of Froslass came through, alerting Pheromsoa while also catching her off guard with this instant blizzard. The Lissome Pokemon closed her eyes as the hail was already starting to beat on her.

She opened her eyes, searching for Froslass as she would be the only one to do this, especially in an area such as this place. Pheromosa's view of the grasslands had been altered as well. The grass was being frozen over by the blizzard as well as the skies were blocked out by a cold and chilling cloud of mist. Seconds later when looking onwards, that's when Pheromosa saw her.

Froslass.

Froslass emerged from the snowstorm, gazing at Pheromosa with those signature and never-changing eyes that were always so gentle and soulless at the same time. Pheromosa couldn't help but suddenly feel stuck when looking at Froslass.

When the two of them met each other, there was a brief pause as their eyes met. Only the sounds of the blizzard raged on. That is until Rarity's voice boomed through the snow.

"Pheromosa! Pheromosa!" Rarity cried out as she came in the direction of the snowstorm. She used her magic to put up a protective shield along with Sweetie Belle. "There you are!"

"Over there! There's Froslass!" Sweetie Belle noticed Froslass.

"Ah, you found her! Great work, Pheromosa!"

"Mosa..." But Pheromosa didn't respond to Rarity at all. Instead, she kept looking at Froslass. While they seemingly didn't do much except stare at each other, in reality, they were connecting.

Pheromosa recognized Froslass. And Froslass recognized Pheromosa. Both of their eyes flashed in unison when continuing to look at each other as a familiar figure appeared in a transparent light in both of their perspectives.

Yuki.

They noticed that figure. That was because, she was them, and they were her.

"What's going on? Why are they just looking at each other?" Sweetie Belle questioned. "Can you figure it out, Phione?"

"Phione..."

"Phero...Pheromosa." Just then, without warning, Pheromosa's body started to freeze, starting from her legs. Rarity and Sweetie Belle collectively gasped as the Ultra Beast was receiving a rapid-freeing process while Froslass seemingly did nothing but just stand there.

"Pheromosa!" Rarity ran to Pheromosa once she saw the ice emerging.

"Froslass!" But the second Rarity decided to get close, Froslass used another Blizzard. This was one was greater than the one she had already summoned. This destructive snowstorm had made things harder to see while also overpowering Rarity's magical barrier.

Her barrier shattered as she was then pushed away by the cold storm. Sweetie Belle held on tightly to Phione, feeling the immense pressure. This snowstorm was more than enough to carry them both, forcing them away from the Lissome Pokemon as they screamed while being sent back away from these grasslands.

"Pheromosa!" Rarity shouted out Pheromosa's name, trying to go for a Poke Ball with her magic, but the storm was too immense to focus. At the same time, when Pheromosa's body had been frozen, placing her in an icy prison, Froslass used Psychic to carry her frozen body. Pheromosa had become prey. Prey to herself. "No! Y-You, let her go!" Rarity growled, witnessing Froslass carry away Pheromosa, fading into the ice seamlessly.

"Lickilicky! Hyper Beam!" Suddenly, Alberto's voice had been heard somewhere in this brutal snowstorm.

"Crobat! Tailwind!" So was Roxie's voice.

"Licky! Barging through the blizzard was a burst of energy in the form of a beam. The pressure of the beam was enough to tear through the wind. But it was Crobat who managed to rid of the rest of it by using Tailwind, flapping its wings with great speed.

The combination of Tailwind and Hyper Beam managed to fend off the snowstorm, diminishing it. However, when Froslass left, it had already weakened. Everything became clearer as the ice on the grass began melting away. A nice and quick save from Roxie and Alberto.

"Hey! Are you three alright?!" Once the snow was gone and things became much clearer, Roxie ran to their sides, seeing a downed Rarity, Sweetie Belle and Phione. Luckily, they were alright, but the ice had certainly sent chills through them.

"We're fine. I feel too cold though..." Sweetie Belle shuddered.

"That Froslass...!" Rarity growled before staggering when getting up. "She took Pheromosa."

"Pheromosa's gone?!" Roxanne gasped.

"Pheromosa." Rarity felt a cold coming on. It was expected for one of them to catch a cold after all of that. It just happened to be both of them.

Pheromosa had been taken by Froslass. In reality, she had been captured by herself, becoming her own prey. A prophecy from thousands of years ago made by a witch had come true. One day, the two halves will meet and that day was now. The question was, what will happen next between them both as the journey continues.

Chapter 826 End.
