//------------------------------// // Spiritual Reunion // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Kanto. Pallet Town. Ketchum Household. Nightfall. It's a silent and peaceful night in Pallet Town. Ash was slumped on his bed alongside Pikachu, having his big dreams as always, speaking in his sleep too. Except, nothing was 100% natural. The comic book that Ash made years ago had been placed in his room once his mother rediscovered it after so long, sitting on a table. Now that it had returned, Ash could keep this memory of his younger days. However, that's when an incandescent flare of golden light particles sprung out of the book. Light particles that greatly resembled the light from the Sea Temple Crystals. These particles shot up, phasing through the ceiling and roof of the Ketchum Household. Like a shooting star, it took the skies, blending in perfectly with the dazzling night sky. A quick and new phenomenon had just occurred. Equestria. Pegalysium. Hummingbird Isle. Up at Pegalysium, Ash and Twilight were visiting the nation in the sky once more. This time, they were on a Sky Boat that travelled through the sea of clouds within a place known as Hummingbird Isle. And their tour guide was Twilight's fellow history buff from the Pegalysium Gallery, Kaleidoscope. "So that's what Mega Evolution is? Sounds painful." Kaleidoscope spoke as Ash and Twilight shared knowledge with her about Mega Evolution. "To some Pokemon. But, they can get used to it over time." Twilight explained. "So, what's here to see at this Hummingbird Isle?" "Well, you're about to be amazed. We here at Pegalysium have a few phenomena of our own. And this is one you'll absolutely love. Don't let the size of Hummingbird Isle fool you too. It's much bigger now that we're here." "So, the only two phenomenons we know about our Destiny Magic, right?" said Ash. "Wonder what else is there? Hmm..." "How about those maps? That pony named Starmap was able to make maps of this entire universe and so much more. It's impressive how she could do all of that by just looking at it for a while." "That's just in her family blood. The magic only gives her a slight boost, so it's not a phenomenon. But it could be when you think about how impressive it is. Here at Hummingbird Isle, there's an extra location hidden past the gardens of the birds that is something you just have to see. A century-long sight that only started happening during the earlier days of Pegalysium." "The earlier days, hm? Then..." Twilight started pondering. "It would have to be something that the founders of Pegalysium added." "Not at all. It's an outside source. I don't wanna spoil the surprise but you'll see. It'll be one for your history books." Kaleidoscope giggled. "Outside, huh? I'm gonna take a wild guess and-" But before Ash could say anything else, that's when a tremor came through. The sea trembled as the hummingbirds all flew away. The Sky Boat rocked on the sea cloud, barely losing its balance. "Woah!" Ash and Twilight cried out. "Pika?!" "Was that an earthquake?!" Twilight cried out. "Or I guess...a Skyquake?" "Right, right. I should also show you the first surprise. Hummingbird Isle is home to something else. Take a gander." Kaleidoscope had a bonus surprise to show them before the main one. She aimed her hoof in the distance, focusing on the massive array of clouds that were strong enough to hide whatever could be beyond there. Ash, Pikachu, Twilight and Espeon stood up, squinting their eyes as they couldn't see anything yet. But the closer the Sky Boat, then the clearer things became. Whatever caused that tremor was definitely beyond those clouds. However, the Sky Boat was sailing away from that spot while still allowing the group to focus on the thick clouds. There were large hills that almost touched the peak of the skies. But those weren't the main focus. Instead, black visages that resembled silhouettes started coming into view. Joining those silhouettes were these crimsons lights that were glowing in front of them The four of them looked for a while before recognizing these figures. These were pony silhouettes and those lights were their eyes. Before they knew it, they were staring at giants. "A-A-Are those...?!" Twilight fell back on the boat, stunned by what she had seen once things became clearer. Her voice was stammering at the sheer size of these giant ponies. "Giants?!" Ash finished her sentence. "Pika?!" "That's right. Meanwhile, Kaleidoscope was all casual about it. "Those are the Pegalysium Giants of Hummingbird Isle. Well, the ones that roam nearby it, anyway." "So cool!" Ash found them to be stunning while Twilight rubbed her eyes, still feeling a bit perplexed. Seeing giant ponies wasn't too out there considering Wailord existed and so did Dynamax. But this was certainly the first time they've seen physical giant ponies instead of astral projections. "How's that possible though?" Twilight questioned."Is it magic? Did a Pegasus of Destiny do this? I already know one of them, Windkiss created that Time Door." "Not at all. Pegalysium's far bigger than you think. No pun intended. Truth be told, those giant ponies are all-natural. They come from a land of giants populated by giant pegasi known as Wingbeat Pass. It's far further than where we are now." "A place full of giant pegasi, huh? Kinda reminds us of the Island of Giant Pokemon, right, buddy?" Ash laughed, recalling how he and Pikachu came across an island full of giant Pokemon. "Pikachu!" "Because of course, such a place exists..." Twilight sighed. "In any case, I think this is the best part of Pegalysium so far. Seeing these giant pegasi in the distance and learning that there's something better waiting for us? Oh, this is all so much fun!" "We're almost at our destination. Get ready for this, you all." As the boat continued on, these giant pegasi stared at them with Ash and Twilight staring back. It was a bit unnerving for such giant pegasi to be staring at them, but seconds later, the giants simply walked away. They meant no harm. 20 minutes later. Eventually, the Sky Boat was steered to the higher parts of the sea. It had moved on an upwards sea cloud, bringing the group to the designated destination. The main event revealed itself once they arrived. Ash, Twilight, Pikachu and Espeon hopped off the boats to bear witness to a sight that, in Kaleidoscope's words, surpassed the view of the giants. And once they saw it for themselves, Kaleidoscope had a point. At first, it seemed to be an average mountainside. But it only took a second later to see what these mountains were keeping. Scattered everywhere, digging deep into these mountains were meteors. Massive chunks of rocks from the cosmos themselves. "Meteors?!" Ash and Twilight repeated as the meteor count was astronomical. The number of meteors that were around was so vast and expanse that this large mountainside was holding so many of them. "How can there be so many meteors here?" said Twilight. "That's just...well, it's destructive, that's what it is." "Welcome to Meteor Mountain." Kaleidoscope introduced. "Meteors galore. Impressive, isn't it? Usually, you never see multiple meteors in one spot, but here we are." "They don't just look like normal meteors too. Check out all of those lights." Ash pointed out how all of the meteors were radiating different spectrums of light. These light particles from each of the meteors flew in frantic and inconsistent directions with no purpose or reason. The craters themselves were flooded with these particles as there were also these strange sounds coming from them that could only possibly come from space with how bizarre they were. "It looks like stardust." Twilight saw that those particles weren't just average particles. But she wanted to know why there were so many of them. "They all came from space obviously, but how did so many of them fall?" "This is the outside source I was talking about. A long time ago, when Peglaysium was being formed in the sky thanks to magic, one of the first-ever locations that our ancestors made was formed right here. A mountainside that was so large that it could reach even beyond the limited sky given more time over the years. It was originally known as the White Heights. But then...it only took 20 years later for something to happen. Meteors fell from above. Dozens of them. They came crashing down on this mountainside unexpectedly, forcing our ancestors away from here." "Did someone ever figure out why so many of them came down though?" Ash asked. "Well, it all relates to one meteor. A meteor that is constantly flying around this part of the sky and space. It's known as the Omen Meteor. We're not sure why, but this event happens more commonly than a regular meteor shower and only fixates on this one spot. They come from a singular meteor and send them flying down with seemingly no end. We're not even sure how the Abberant Meteor can make so many and not diminish. I mean...it is a rock, right?" "Oh. Can you see the meteor from here since it sends so many of them down?" Twilight questioned. "Starmap had that covered. The Omen Meteor resides in an interstellar cloud known as the Dragonfly Nebula. That's where it comes from. And that's all. Wish there was more I could tell you about this." "Well, it's more than enough," Twilight replied. "You've shared a great phenomenon with us, Kaleidoscope." "Yeah. How about we check it out some more?" Ash pointed his thumb at all of the meteors, wanting to get closer. "You're speaking my language, Ash." Twilight was already thinking about it as she, Ash, Pikachu and Espeon would approach some of the meteors. "Hang on! Meteors have radiation in them!" Kaleidoscope shouted. "Some of those meteors are new!" "We know." The two of them replied as they weren't bothered by it at all. Kaleidoscope found them odd. It's not like someone to casually go up to some meteors. But of course, they would still stay safe around them. Twilight already had some magic coating ready while Ash had his Aura. Kaleidoscope shrugged, prancing along to join them. She was just as curious as them after all and if there was a chance for her to get closer to the meteors, it would be with these individuals who didn't fear getting close to them. When getting closer, they could hear the sounds clearer now. Twilight recognized some of these sounds after her limited time within the Z-Crystals. So many to choose from as Ash picked his first meteor. This one caught his attention as it radiated the same azure colour as his Aura. The beautiful stardust flew in his direction as the moment Ash got close, he could feel something calling to him. Ash stood there for a moment, looking at the meteor. "Pika-pi?" "Something came from that meteor..." Ash said before kneeling in front of the azure meteor. Curious as to why the meteor pulsated in his direction, Ash went over to touch the meteor. Pikachu followed the hand of his best friend, staying cautious as anything could happen when touching a meteor in his eyes. And the moment Ash touched the meteor, the next second, he could not only hear voices, but his perception changed. There was a rapid change in scenery. Everything around him had changed. Right in front of his very eyes, figures were starting to pop into view. By resonating with his Aura, Ash had a special interaction with the meteor as these voices called out to him as they were connected to the figure. "Ash. Hello? Anyone there?" And one of those voices belonged to none other than a former resident of Ponyville. Pear Butter. "Can you see us?" "Woah..." Ash had indeed spotted Pear Butter as next to her was Bright Mac. He flashed his eyes before noticing that their appearances were familiar. "Wait a sec. Big Mac...Applejack...Apple Bloom's...parents?!" "That's right." Pear Butter nodded. "Howdy there. Nice to finally meet you for the first time." "Pikachu?" Pikachu could hear Ash speaking, but he couldn't see where or who he was speaking to. "Is this the meteor doing this?" Ash looked down at the meteor?" "Looks like it," said Bright Mac. "Quite a surprise to see you all of a sudden. We didn't think you'd show up." "You're seeing us from the Ambrosial Plane, aren't you? Does it look new to you?" Pear Butter asked as Ash saw how bright and ethereal this scenery was. "Oh, that place where Sunlight and Eventide are? You're there with them?!" "Eeyup." Bright Mac replied. "It's where us ponies who are long gone head to. Nice place here." "It's great to meet you for the first time. We've been watching from above and you sure are an interesting fellow, ain't ya?" Pear Butter commented. "And a great friend to our kids. Thanks for helping them get through so much." "No problem. So uh, this meteor lets me see in this place? Sweet." Ash looked inside the meteor. "It also reacts to my Aura it looks like. Hey Twilight! Come here!" "Hm?" Twilight immediately teleported, responding to Ash's call. "What is it? Did something happen?" "Get a load of this. This meteor lets me see into the Ambrosial Plane. It reacted to my Aura, but since Togekiss has Aura Sphere, you might be able to use it too." Ash held it out to her. His Aura was already flowing within the meteors. "Is that so...?" Twilight was now interested as her hoof had touched the meteor. Thanks to King of the Sea's Aura surrounding the meteor, the Princess of Friendship was able to see into the plane as well. "Oh! You're right!" "Neat, huh?" Ash grinned. "You two are Applejck's parents...I never thought I'd meet you!" Twilight gasped. "Well, I sorta did because of Tapu Fini, but still." "Oh, Tapu Fini. That's a kind Pokemon right there." Pear Butter replied. "We loved what it did for us a few months back." "So...are we here physically? Or..." Twilight needed to know if this was a physical appearance in the Ambrosial Plane. "Uh..." Pear Butter and Bright Mac looked at each other before shrugging. That's when Bright Mac had an idea. "Ah! Catch this!" Out of thin air, he had summoned an apple before throwing it at Ash. Ash was ready to catch it, only for the apple to phase through him. Confirmation. They were not truly there. "Aw, man..." Ah wished he was there right now. That was another world that he could potentially explore. "Well, we tried." Pear Butter giggled. "But, can you see anypony else here?" "Anypony else? Not really. You're the only two we see." said Twilight until an idea had come up. She looked over at the other meteors, ready to test a new theory. "Unless! Ash! Use your Aura on this meteor too!" "Got it." Twilight then used her magic to bring over another meteor, putting her other hoof on it. In Twilight's theory, the other millions of meteors could do the same thing. Ash shared another piece of his Aura to the meteor next via a pulse expulsion. Lo and behold, when she touched them, she was given an expanded view of the Ambrosial Plane. It was as if she was unlocking a new stage that was hidden. And by unlocking it, two more ponies had been revealed. The ponies gasped, spotting Twilight Sparkle as some of them looked old and some of them were just around her age. Twilight got more meteors, interacting with them with her magic to see multiple ponies from different walks of life appear. It was a stunning sight to see. "I get it now! These meteors let us see into the Ambrosial plane! So then that means...every single one of these meteors have the spirits of ponies inside of them?" "Spirits?! For real?!"Ash and Kaleidoscope yelled. Ash's Aura allowed him to connect to the other meteors, expanding in a wide pulse as he saw what Twilight saw in great numbers. "Pikachu!" "It's something like that." Just then, answering Twilight's question was Sunlight alongside Eventide. The former rulers of Equestria. It was no surprise that they were there, however, they haven't passed on yet. "You all have made a wonderful find here." "Oh. Queen Sunlight. King Eventide." Twilight uttered. "What are these meteors? And why are they like this?" "That's something we found out centuries ago, my little pony." Eventide replied. "These meteors that come from the Omen Meteor are bizarre in which they're connected to us." "The meteor is in one fixated spot, which means that every smaller meteor that falls out of it fixates on this mountainside. So if you ever see a random meteor crash elsewhere, it won't be from there." "Really?" This was new to Bright Mac and Pear Butter. "Aw, come on, you guys! I can't see anything!" Kaleidoscope puffed her cheeks as she didn't have anything special to see these spirits. "They're free for you to touch, Kaleidoscope. No need to worry. These are the safest meteors you'll ever come across, that's for sure." Twilight responded. "Uh, okay." The pegasi walked over. "Still not sure touching a meteor is the safest thing to-" But before that last word could be said, it was eliminated as Kaleidoscope instantly saw the Ambrosial Plane "Oh! Oh wow! You weren't kidding. Is this what these meteors are hiding?" "The magic from this meteor is something special, even if it does one of thing. It's as if everyone who has passed on finds a way to come back home. Albeit in a different location. And we're still alive, anyway." Sunlight said. "Ooh. We might have to rename that meteor then." Kaleidoscope suggested now that she knew more about these meteors and what they could really do. "Hmm...So that's what it is." Now that all of this had been revealed to Ash, he wondered what he could do next? These meteors were impressive, but Ash felt like he couldn't just go on about his day and see the meteors as another special sight that is only good for sightseeing. Ash thought for a bit as something came to mind. "Hm. Okay then. I've got something." "Pika?" "What do you mean, Ash?" Twilight asked. "Everyone that's passed on can be found here. And all of those meteors are all spirits. Including the stardust that comes out of them, right?" "That's right." Sunlight nodded. "Why?" "We're going to do something really quickly. I might have to go through Delayed Aura Ataxia again to make this work." "Delayed Aura Ataxia?! Ash! Whatever you're planning, don't do it!" "Too late." Ash laughed. "It's already in motion and you're gonna help, Twilight. First, I'm gonna head to the Sky Monarch first. Then, you should head to Ponyville. And meanwhile, I'll head to the Changeling Hive. And I'll see Lofty Skies too. "All of those locations? Why would y-" But it only took Twilight a few seconds to realize what Ash was planning. When it clicked, she gave a soft smile. "Ooh...Ash. Alright. No arguments there." "Wait. What's happening?" Kaleidoscope needed answers though, unaware of the layers that this plan was being used for. It was something that related to multiple ponies and changelings from different locations. "What's Delayed Aura Ataxia? And what's a Changeling?" Pegalysium. Sky Monarch. Afternoon. A quick mission had been made by Ash with great assistance from Twilight. Both of them would take different routes. Ash went to the Sky Monarch first, heading straight for the King and Queen to give them some important news. Since this was a landmark in their nation, it was only natural they needed to know about the speciality of the meteors from Meteor Mountain. "What do you mean spirits?" King Paramount leaned forward after Ash shared what he had discovered. "Are you saying that...?" "That's right. Figured this was as good a time as any to get you to meet your parents again." Ash revealed what his plan was. Since those meteors connect to the Ambrosial Plane. "Oh! Dear! That means you get to see them again!" Luminary gasped, looking over at Paramount, whose jaw had dropped. The only time he was this surprised was when his son was in danger. His parents were just as important and this news was staggering to the adamant king's heart. "I'll be there soon. Kaleidoscope's waiting back at Meteor Mountain. I'll be down at Equestria for a bit. Come on, Pikachu!" Ash immediately rushed off with Pikachu. "Pikachu!" As Ash and Pikachu left the scene, Paramount was still perplexed as Luminary waved her hoof in his face, trying to snap him out of it. "Oh, my. Guards. Get to Meteor Mountain at once. Wait for Ash Ketchum as well." Luminary ordered. "Might as well bring Shooting Star for this one as well." "Yes, your majesty!" Equestria. Ponyville. Sweet Apple Acres. Afternoon. Meanwhile, back at Ponyville, Twilight went to Applejack's family before anything else after seeing Bright Mac and Pear Butter. She explained everything about Meteor Mountain and what those special meteors were. "Is that so...?" Applejack lowered her hat before smiling. Right afterwards, her entire family started laughing, confusing Twilight. "Uh...what's so funny?" "If you would've told me that we'd get another way of seeing our parents again that isn't Tapu Fini well...I don't know if I would've called you crazy, but I'd be starstruck!" Applejack and her family were obviously elated by this. Besides Tapu Fini, they had another way of seeing their parents. And this option didn't seem to move, unlike Tapu Fini. "We get to see 'em again!" Apple Bloom jumped up. "I was kinda hoping that Tapu Fini would've done it for us again, but oh well." "That's great to hear. Well...let's head up to Pegalysium then. I can fly up there perfectly fine." "Hold on there." Granny Smith stopped Twilight. "Since you're gonna do that, there's one other pony you should head to, don't ya think. Or two." "Two more? Uh...Who exactly?" "Princess Celestia and Luna've been around longer than yours truly. Don't ya gonna give her this favour with all that they've seen?" Granny Smith suggested. "Oh, you're right! They did have many friends in the past!" It clicked with Twilight. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have had friends from the far past, no doubt. "The meteors that come from the bigger Omen Meteor apparently fall more commonly than every other meteor show event. So most likely more of them will come crashing down with more spirits. Any one of them is bound to have a friend of Celestia and Luna." "How's about you head to Canterlot? We'll go up to Pegalysium and see that Meteor Mountain." "Oh. Sure. But to make it easy for you...Eve. Head to Team Rocket and ask them for the Rocketship. You'll be the one to guide them to Meteor Mountain." "Espeon." Espeon would take care of everything else. Meanwhile, Twilight was off to Canterlot to inform two more ponies. Faye Mountains. Changeling HIve. "Thank you so much!" And over at the Faye Mountains, Ash was being hugged by Chrysalis, who made him struggle to breathe for a while. "You don't know how much this mean's to me!" "N-N problem...!" Ash uttered with a weak voice. "You're kinda crushing my bones too!" After revealing Meteor Mountain to Chrysalis, this meant only one thing. The changelings that had perished from Ghetsis' attack could return. This was stellar news to not just Chrysalis, but every other changeling. "Pikachu." "Gah..." Ash was finally let go, taking a deep breath. "Oh, man. But ya know...I was also thinking of finding your mom too." "Oh, right. My mother. I understand that completely. But...perhaps, we'll let her come another time. I want to see them again soon and it would take a while to find my mother." "But if we see them again, will they be happy to see us?" Thorax questioned as these long-gone changelings were potentially still in their old forms. "It doesn't matter. As long as I get to see them." It all didn't matter to Chrysalis. Old or new, she was fine with it. "Meteor Mountain, was it?" "Yeah. So, what are we waiting for?" Ash dug into his pocket, throwing a Poke Ball out. Out of it came Dragonite. "Dragonite!" "Just follow us." Ash hopped onto Dragnite's back, ready to return to Pegalysium. A reunion with spirits was due at this moment and a mass expansion of Aura as well. This would be a reunion unlike any other. A reunion of family and friends from the other side. It was off to Meteor Mountain. Pegalysium. Hummingbird Isle. Meteor Mountain. Afternoon. Over at Meteor Mountain, the Royal Family had already shown up. And once they were there, they waited for Ash while looking at all of the meteors here. It was hard to tell which one belonged to who. The only one that was easy to make out was Bright Mac and Pear Butter's meteor. But soon, this area became a bit more populated. Showing up minutes later were Ash and the others. They had all gathered t this one spot. Pegasi, Earth Ponies Alicorns and Changelings. Each of them had someone important who was long gone. And the only one to make it all possible was Ash. However, Applejack could activate one of them with her Aura. She had a grand source of Aura. Not as big as Ash's, but powerful enough to make this meteor react to her. Kaleidoscope passed the meteor to Applejack, allowing it to treat her. "We meet again. This is a sudden second reunion, isn't it?" Pear Butter spoke to her family. "Sure is. Makes it all feel familiar. And as if you never left us, mom. Dad." Applejack said. "Did ya see it? Did ya see me at the Canterlot Junior Cup?!" Apple Bloom asked them. "Sure did. Wish you won though ut...oh well. Your friends are just so skilled, ain't they?" Bright Mac replied. "They sure are. But I could've totally won if Gible didn't use Dig." Apple Bloom pouted, believing that she could've pulled the victory with her Z-Move in Dig wasn't in the picture. "This is it, Ash. Do your best." Celestia said to him. "We'll be here if you almost faint." "Okay. Sir Aaron, help me out here." Ash held his arm out as he summoned Sir Aaron's staff for assistance. It was all up to him. So many of them were waiting to see their loved ones again. Some of them for a second time. Even if it pushed his body to the absolute limit, Ash would do whatever he could to make others smile. "Here we go!" With deep concentration, his Aura pulsated out, already starting to react to every other meteor nearby. The meteors reciprocated Ash's Aura. Both the benign feeling and the burning spirit within it. Ash let his Aura run free as the stardust from the meteors went will. Visibly showing some strain, Ash had poured everything into this, keeping himself steady as this was certainly making him struggle with how many meteors there. But, thanks to Celestia's magic, she kept Ash steady, healing him. Thanks to Celestia's healing magic, Ash could continue on. Eventually, once he reached a vast majority of the meteors, he managed to not only connect with them but his Aura id more. By pushing it to the max, the spirits of those from the Ambrosial Plane were starting to be seen. Not by touching the meteors, but rather, they had astral bodies appear out of them. Ash's Aura had shown just how far it could go as it performed a great feat. Millions of ponies appeared as astral bodies, left and right. Immediately, Celestia recognized a plethora of them once they started showing up. Even Bright Mac and Pear Butter's astral bodies became visible to everyone's eyes. "Hoh man...done." Ash breathed in and out as he got on his knee. Celestia helped him up right afterwards. "Well, done, Ash." Celestia congratulated him. She then looked onward, seeing how so many familiar faces had been seen. "Mom!" Loft Skies immediately saw his mother, flapping to her respective meteor. The changelings and Chrysalis saw the others s they had distinguishable appearances, rushing over. "Ain't that beautiful to look at?" Pear Butter chatted. "Eeyup." The entire Apple Family approved. "Phew...I'm gonna take a small nap now." Ash decided to lay on his back as it still strained his body even after the healing. But he had done what he set out to do. He performed a grand reunion. "Oh. It's all real." Chrysalis felt like she was dreaming, but she wasn't. She and the changelings met with the long-gone others, who were naturally stunned by the sudden appearances of their fellow species. "Q-Queen Chrysalis. Is that you?" Naturally, questions arose bout their appearances. "What happened to all of you?" Another changeling asked. "A lot happened. I suppose now is a good time to catch you all up on recent events. But before that...I'm sorry that I wasn't able to protect all of you on that day. It is my fault that you ended up there." Chrysalis lowered her head. "But...seeing you all again was the only chance I would get to apologize." "You don't have to apologize. Uh..y-your highness. We understand. Sucks though..." "On the bright side, this Ambrosial Plane isn't so bad. We gained some weird forms when we came here though." "Weid forms?" Thorax repeated, realizing that they had probably entered their new forms as well, even in another realm. And yet they looked the same. "How come you look the same then?" "The Ambrosia Plane allows anyone to choose their appearance based on their entire life. There is no limit here." Sunlight explained, walking over. "Aaah..." The changelings all nodded in unison once that was explained to them. Chrysalis caught up with her lost changelings, relieved that they were doing better on the other side. Celestia and Luna caught up with others as well. Since they knew so many ponies, many faces gathered to meet them. They weren't too affected by this. The twin alicorns had come to terms with how they had a longer lifespan than many others. Thus, they had done their farewells to their friends long ago, leaving no wounds. But as for Paramount, he had a wound that was hiding with his stoic and strong personality. He walked past all of the Astral Bodies of long-gone ponies and changelings, focusing on only his parents. He looked in the distance, spotting two familiar figures. Both of which looked like a combination of himself. A station had his mane and tail style while a mare had his colours from his coat, mane and tail. He galloped forward, coming to a screeching halt in front of these two ponies. King Thunderglaze and Queen Ascent had been seen again. "Mother! Father!" Paramount cried out their names as if he were a child again. The moment they saw their son, they didn't need to guess. That appearance was of their son, only bigger than they last remembered. "It's true. It's all true what Ash Ketchum had said." "You always did gallop to us when you shouted our names." Ascent spoke as Paramount had heard the voice of his parents once again. Just hearing it was enough to send chills through his body. It was both beautiful yet still a bit hard for him to take him. "Come on, boy. I see tears. Don't try and hide them from us." Thunderglaze pointed out how Paramount turned his head away. But tears could be seen dropping to the ground and also there was the fact that his body was trembling, showing signs of sadness. "No shame in being sad my son. Let's look at you straight in the face." Ascent spoke as Paramount turned around, showing his saddened face to his parents. "Aw...if I could hug you again, I would. Physically, I wish." "I thought I would never see you two again..." His voice trembled as Shooting Star and Luminary walked over to comfort him. "Dad. Are you gonna be okay?" "Perfectly fine." He put on his poker face, but it was no use. Everyone could see through him for the first time. And he knew it. "Curses..." "Ah, it's fine. Sadness is a powerful emotion of relief. You're here now. You have this chance...no. Endless chances to see us again thanks to these meteors." said Thunderglaze. "You've done a great job t ruling Pegalysium in our absence son. Always knew it, anyway." "Mmm. We made sure to continue watching from the Ambrosial Plane. Well done, dear." Ascent nodded as she and Thunderglaze were greatly proud of their son. Even with his parents gone, he managed to grow up to be a great ruler and that was perfect in their eyes. "Now then. About your family here." "Oh. Um. Good afternoon~" Luminary waved as she was finally noticed. "Queen Luminary is my name. And this is our son, Shooting StarW-We have a lot to talk about. Not used to talking to spirits though..." "You know, those coloured tips on all of our wings are going to become natural." Thunderglaze aimed his hoof at their wings. "Just give it some more years or so and every pegasus is going to have tipped wings." "Aw, it won't be special anymore?" Shooting Star flapped his wings. "Oh well." Everyone reunited. Heartwarming was the only thing that could describe this scene as they chatted away, catching up with each other and tying up loose ends. As for Ash, he was resting after bringing them all here. Celestia looked back at Ash who was smiling peacefully while resting. One could mistakenly believe that he had passed n too with the way he was resting and smiling. "There's something special in return for you, Ash. For all that you did here." Celestia commented while looking at Ash. He would receive something for something so charitable. But for now, with him resting, everyone could stay here for as long as they wanted to. Even potentially under the night sky where the meteors are the most beautiful. As the journey continues. Chapter 825 End.
