My Little Pokémon

Daybreaker and Necrozma

2 years ago. Another Pokemon World. An ice planet. Deep within a dark cave. Afternoon.

2 years ago, Daybreaker and Team Plasma had come here for Necrozma and as a bonus, Kyurem, who was responsible for freezing this entire planet. While Team Plasma attempted to find Kyurem on this icy planet, Daybreaker had entered a cave with multiple dark depths to find Necrozma.

Entering this dark ave also brought another barrage of blizzards along. Of course, Daybreaker was unaffected by it. This icy planet and the harsh cold meant nothing to the heat that she emitted.

She was also a permanent light source as the first part of this dark cave had been lit up. When entering this murky area, Daybreaker noticed how there were crystals prodding out of every corner of different colours. Some of these crystals had been frozen over thanks to the abundance of ice.

But she had no time to stop and see the sights. If she wanted to find Necrozma, Daybreaker figured that going to the very bottom of the cave would work out in her favour. After moving through so many pathways, that idea seemed tempting. Utter destruction within this cave was on her mind.

"Beartic!" But before she could do so, lurking within this cave and rushing out of one of the pathways was a Beartic as it had spotted Daybreaker. This was Beartic's territory and once again, Daybreaker had stepped into the territory of another Pokemon. But, then again, this entire icy planet was the territory of all Ice-Types.

"Another one of you?" Daybreaker looked up at the Freezing Pokemon, fearless as yet another Pokemon was getting in her way of reaching Necrozma. This could be a common reoccurrence considering that she had yet to explore the entirety of the cave yet.

"Beartic!" Beartic did not hesitate to attack Daybreaker. It went in, using Superpower as its claws were covered in an orange light. Once it rushed in, the Freezing Pokemon swung its super-powered claws, only for Daybreaker to put up a protective barrier.

Superpower struck Daybreaker's barrier, resulting in a great shockwave that blew away the crystals and various rocks within this part of the cave. Daybreaker stayed still once her barrier had been hit as it did not budge or break at all.

"Tic? Beartic!" Beartic was stunned for a second that the barrier did not budge as it tried again. The Ice-Type swung with Superpower once more, trying to break it. Beartic struck again and again. Left, right and above, using all of its strength. This part of the cave continued to shake with ice shards and stalactites falling from above in response to Beartic's heavy impacts. The ground was even starting to crack.

"This is getting annoying," Daybreaker grumbled, expanding her barrier. Once her barrier expanded, not only did it melt away the collapsing ice shards, but it had blown back Beartic and any rubble that got near.

"B-Bear!" Beartic slid on the ground, feeling the heat from Daybreaker's barrier. But to Daybreaker's surprise, it was still standing instead of falling. "Beartic!" The Freezing Pokemon didn't give up so easily as it had then used Stone Edge. Beartic smashed the ground, causing multiple glowing stones to burst out of the ground.

Daybreaker narrowed her eyes before unleashing a devastatingly fast beam of magic from her horn. The beam had blasted through the stones, stopping them in their tracks. It was also too fast for Beartic to react in time. Daybreakers beam struck the Freezing Pokemon's stuck, sending the heat of the sun through it once more.

"Beartic!" Beartic roared, almost falling over as it held its chest. It didn't give up so easily, Giga Impact right afterwards, throwing everything it had at Daybreaker.

"Pathetic." Daybreaker found Beartic's efforts to be commendable but pointless as the moment the Freezing Pokemon lunged in with a bursting white aura, Daybreaker put a stop to it by emitting a powerful magical pulse that had not only stopped Beartic midway from even reaching Daybreaker, but the intense power by this pulse had eradicated the aura of Giga Impact, consuming it into the flames as Beartic was blown away once more.

"Tic!" Beartic had crashed into the walls immediately with flames trailing out of its body. The Ice-Type slumped on the ground as well, feeling perplexed. Beartic growled, holding its head as it still tried getting back up. The Freezing Pokemon had great persistence. It could barely stand though as it got on its knees, now feeling how overwhelmingly strong Daybreaker was.

"Again? You should learn when to quit." Daybreaker sighed, preparing to blast Beartic a second time. Any annoyance that got in her way and prolonged her mission to reach would be dealt with. It was now that Daybreaker figured that taking a massive chunk of the cave along with Beartic was the best way to multitask.

Her body started glowing a radiant orange as her magic power swelled out, threatening to obliterate the cave to make this a quicker journey for Necrozma. Beartic's eyes widened before lowering its head, powerless to stop what was coming next.

"Cubchoo?" Arriving at the scene of the battle was Cubchoo. The cub of Beartic. It peered its head from the corner before gasping at the sight of Daybreaker's aura. "Cubchoo!"

"Bear!" Beartic noticed Cubchoo before rapidly rushing to its side. The Freezing Pokemon grabbed Cubchoo with its arms, holding it close. Cubchoo embraced its older evolution as the immense heat from Daybreaker's aura was starting to affect them.

"Hm?" Daybreaker noticed this scene immediately, pausing for a moment. After a few seconds of gazing, Daybreaker sighed before lowering her aura. She didn't release it all to destroy a chunk of the place after all. Instead, Daybreaker pressed on, ignoring them both. "Stay out of my way, otherwise, I'll grant this cave and entire land a destructive end."

"Beartic..." Beartic growled as it allowed Daybreaker to walk by. It wouldn't dare try and stan dup to her after what it had witnessed. Cubchoo trembled, feeling uneasy in the presence of Daybreaker's flames, but she was gone now, diminishing that fear. However, it lingered.

1 hour late.

An hour later and Daybreaker was halfway there. The deeper she went, the more the icy mist became present, hardening her vision. It was annoying but Daybreaker expected this, pressing on either way.

But along the way, that was when she was met by another entity. Another Ice-Type had stood in her way, prompting the Ruler of the Solar Empire to stop in her tracks. Yet again, her mission to find Necrozma has been stopped.

"Who's there now?" Daybreaker questioned, looking ahead of the murky mist. Those same golden eyes from before were there as Daybreaker had seen them for the first time. A growl that had a frightening sound to it had responded to Daybreaker, only making her more cautious.

The figure that had these menacing golden eyes had emerged from the mist at last. The eyes paled in comparison to the sheer size of this Pokemon. Ice followed this Pokemon, adding extra layers of ice to the walls and ground. Daybreaker noticed how there was this bipedal figure emerging with a staggering height. It was none other than the Pokemon that was responsible for the planet being turned to ice.

Kyurem.

"Mother of me..." Daybreaker's jaw dropped as she was visibly stunned to see Kyurem and the overwhelming amount of mist coming out of its mouth. It was so overwhelming that Daybreaker had never seen anything like it, especially with how fast everything froze over. That led to one conclusion in her mind. "All of that ice...You must be Kyurem."

"Why have you come here?" Kyurem questioned her, using telepathy to speak. "You and that thing in the sky are not from this world. You'd better have a good reason for being here."

"Hmph. Is it customary for you to overly question visitors? If you get any in a place like this..." Daybreaker smirked. "My business here is something quick and easy. Something that doesn't bother you, Kyurem."

"Hoh? You obviously are not from this world, therefore...there's something here for you to even know about this world's existence."

"Hmph. It should be obvious what I'm here for. The Pokemon that apparently battled you many years ago and is locked down here. Necrozma. Ring any bells? Then again, it's been so many years since you've frozen this planet, you've probably forgotten about it."

"Necrozma? You must be referring to that Pokemon that harbours light. You would aim for such a powerful Pokemon? Curious. Why should I let you go any further."

"Why stop me?" Daybreaker shrugged. "Unless you rule this world. Which I mean...you probably do since you froze everything just because a group got on your bad side. A bit harsh, don't you think?"

"You reek of evil. You're one to talk about my actions."

"Am I? Last I checked, civilization in this world is greatly limited to just your Pokemon brethren. The humans in this world can barely live. It's a miracle that they are still around. You may have gotten justice on those that wronged you in the past, but the ones of the future well...that's a different story. So, who's the evil one here?"

"Hmmrrgh..." Kyurem grumbled as it knew that Daybreaker had a stellar point. "Big talk from such a little pony."

"Say what you will. Unless that Reshiram part in your can fix all of this or some other Legendary Pokemon shows up, you aren't in the clear, my friend."

"That is not likely."

"And why's that?"

"Necrozma was not the only Pokemon that battled me. Many have challenged my goal to freeze those who betrayed me. But it was just that. Those who betrayed me were my only targets, not everyone else." Kyurem revealed there was a bit more to it.

"Hm? Go on..." Daybreaker was curious.

"Do you truly believe I would willingly freeze the entire planet? The ones who betrayed me were led by someone who possessed a strange power. This power drove me mad and greatly increased my power just for his own gain. I had no control over myself. He managed to split my true form in half while still being able to harness the power that I hold within. With this destructive power at his command...and my own will, he began his ferocious conquest with me as the weapon that would intimidate others. Of course, the other Pokemon tasked with protecting the planet arrived."

"The Legendary Pokemon..."

"Right. It was a ferocious battle and eventually, Necrozma joined after learning about how everything was being frozen over, including the light that it depends on. Because of the amazing power I received, all of them fell and were frozen, much like Necrozma. To this day, they are unable to move or free themselves. Even those that possess fire. But, the one to free me from my control was what they call an Aura Guardian. However, the damage had been done already and the planet had been frozen."

"Hm. I See."

But, this ice isn't fully mine. That man's strange power seemed to have a cosmic origin to it. Because of the cosmic power residing within it, the ice would never fade away. Try as I might...even when recovering my strength, I could not melt it all. I am indeed to blame for the total cryofreeze of this planet and robbing many of their peaceful lives...The Creator Deity spoke about how one day, this planet will once again feel the warmth of the Sun. That day will come when something can root out the cosmic energy within."

"Cosmic energy...It must be Rift Energy then." Daybreaker could only think about Rift Energy when it comes to cosmic energy.

"The creator deity. The one they call Arceus spoke of that day. I regrettably attacked Arceus as well during that fateful day. Alongside the Aura Guardian, I was free. But, Arceus the Creator had to heal after what I had done thanks to the cosmic power that was added. Since then...the warmth of the Sun was the last thing it shared before leaving to heal. I have not heard from Arceus since. Now, do you understand?"

"I understand completely. It certainly adds a lot more to things. But...I still need Necrozma. I wish no ill intent on you. Will you let me through?"

"Hmph. Go." Kyurem allowed Daybreaker to press on. Despite feeling something eerie within her, Kyurem could also tell that she was surprisingly honest as the two of them only had to look at each other for a bit.

"But...I suppose I'll leave you with two things. I'd advise staying hidden from those ships. And you said that cosmic power is what led you to cause your rampage?"

"Hm?"

"I'll be back here. Wait maybe one more year or so and I will root out the energy within. I'm building something back in my world specifically meant for cosmic energy. Until then...farewell, dragon." Daybreaker had kept Kyurem safe from Team Plasma and had promised to help this world out as well.

Kyurem found Daybreaker to be an odd one. But he would wait until that day that she would supposedly return and bring the warmth that Arceus spoke about.

3 hours later.

After a few more hours of moving through this dark cave, crushing everything in her path, Daybreaker finally came across it. By burning through a mass expanse of snow, Daybreaker had found Necrozma's ice prison. There it was.

The Prism Pokemon had been found in the deepest part of the cave. Locked in ice that had snow all over it, Necrozma was in a seemingly eternal slumber due to the endless ice.

"There you are, Necrozma," Daybreaker commented, walking up to the icy prison. She got to see the Prism Pokemon up close and exactly how being trapped in this ice has affected it. It was hard to tell since Necrozma's face wasn't one that could instantly give off emotion.

Daybreaker put her hoof on the ice prison before then feeling something sudden. The moment she touched the icy prison, that's when a haunting cry revealed itself. The cry of Necrozma. Daybreaker gasped after hearing it. It travelled through her senses as it was impossible to ignore. She took this in, realising what this meant. The cry was both terrifying and gentle at the same time. To many, it would be terrifying, but Daybreaker saw the sombre side to it.

"That came from you." She said. "This sounds like a cry of pain. Yes. You've been trapped here for centuries. Possibly around the time when I was still a filly."

The cry came through yet again from Necrozma. While there weren't any movements to show this, Daybreaker could just rely on its cries.

"I hear you. The cries of being robbed of something you need. But, this prison won't last forever. Starting now." Daybreaker closed her eyes as the presence of her mane was already melting the ice the entire time.

Once the ice melted, Daybreaker backed away as at last, for centuries, Necrozma had been freed. But instead of waiting for the entire ice to melt, Necrozma broke out of it, sending shards flying everywhere. The shards melted once they came into contact with Dayreaker as she couldn't help but smile at this.

However, the moment Necrozma had been freed after centuries of icy imprisonment, something was burning inside of it. Robbed from devouring light, Necrozma was seething with rage. Justifiably furious, the Prism Pokemon could finally let out its anger at last as this part of the cave was starting to shake.

"What now?" Daybreaker looked around, feeling the tremors from every direction. Before she knew it, flares of prismatic lasers came flying out. This was the first time she had witnessed Necrozma's Prismatic lasers. Multiple lights filled with prismatic colours burst out with great intensity, hitting every part of the cave.

This was Necrozma's rage being unleashed and it was tremendous as the lasers pierced through the walls, reaching the outside as well. Daybreaker was in danger of being struck by these lasers. Not only was she threatened by the lasters, but Necrozma's rage was also so on par with its hunger, that any source of light was greatly needed. And right now, a great source of light was in front of it.

Daybreaker herself.

Necrozma noticed how Daybreaker was oozing light. From her flaming mane to her flaming tail. But Necrozma could also sense the magic inside of Daybreaker. It was crying out to him in his eyes. Despite being the one to save Daybreaker, Necrozma still needed light. Thus, Dayreaker was perfect now as it immediately rushed to the alicorn.

"Not good!" Daybreaker gasped, realizing she was a target for Necrozma. She flew back, immediately evading Necrozma's Brutal Swing once it approached her. The claw smashed into the ground, shattering the rest of the ice.

Necrozma then pursued Daybreaker, using Brutal Swing yet again. Daybreaker continued to fly back, evading Necrozma's constant swinging at high speeds. while flying through this part of the cave. Multiple pillars of ice were being broken or melted apart from either Daybreaker's movements or Necrozma's destruction.

Seeing that he couldn't catch up to Daybreaker, Necrozma realized that without some light, he was slower now. Unable to keep up, decided to attack from afar, using Photon Geyser. He unleashed a continuous burst of energy from his body that went in different angles but were all fixated on Daybreaker.

"!" Daybreaker could feel the intensity of this attack as she immediately retaliated with a magic beam. The multiple bursts of energy met with Daybreaker's beam, resulting in a heated clash that completely melted the area. The impact of the two beams ended up blowing up in front of each other, pushing both of them away. Daybreaker maintained her momentum as she put up a barrier, going through the walls. "I see...All those years without light and I'm the first thing it sees."

Daybreaker figured out that she was prime for absorption as Necrozma chased after her, using Photon Geyser once more. To retaliate, Daybreaker covered her horn in a blazing aura before swinging it. She swung at the lasers, knocking them away. Necrozma then used Stone Edge, summoning giant rocks around its body and then throwing them at high speeds. Daybreaker used her magic to control these rocks with telekinesis, tossing them aside.

"I need to satiate its hunger...and of course capture it too or I could become a lightless husk. Unless..." Daybreaker looked over at the Ultra Ball that she was still levitating with her. But Necrozma wouldn't make it easy. Even without light, he was still a powerful force as he then started tearing the cave down. "You there! Necrozma! Listen to me!" She suddenly called out for it.

Necrozma charged at full force, only for Daybreaker to put up a barrier. Necrozma charged headfirst into the barrier, ferociously attacking it afterwards with Prismatic Lasers. Clearly, it wasn't here to listen to Necrozma. It needed to feast on some light.

"All of that rage is stupendous. But I know exactly how you feel!" Daybreaker had a different method of solving this. "As I said before, you were robbed of what you needed more than anything. Light."

Necrozma roared, using Gravity to force Daybreaker and her barrier to the ground. Daybreaker managed to keep it active, however as Necrozm then attacked it from above, using Prismatic Lasers once again.

"That Pokemon Kyurem did this, didn't it?" Once Daybreaker brought up Kyurem's name, Necrozma passed for a moment. It remembered Kyurem very well and that name only heightened its rage, causing it to try and shove its claw through Daybreaker's shield. At the same time, by touching her shield, Necrozma was gaining some light by gradually absorbing it.

Daybreaker could see that with all of this anger, catching Necrozma immediately would only lead t further problems. She wanted to have Necrozma at his most calm if that was possible.

"Locked up here with not a shred of light. Forced to suffer for centuries in this harsh cold area, just because of the actions of others." Daybreaker spoke as Necrozma tried everything on her barrier. "Truly, a horrible existence to be flung into. I can understand that..." Right then, Daybreaker thought about how she came to be. Her memories flashed back to when she had lost Luna. While not the same thing, Daybreaker could still feel for the Prism Pokemon.

But her words so far were not reaching it as Necrozma then used Gravity again, this time, bringing down the entire cave area on Daybreaker, only for Daybreaker to incinerate them with her flames.

"So...Allow me to grant your wish." Daybreaker would be the one to give Necrozma some light. She immediately put everything to a screeching halt as her magic flared across the cave from the inside and outside. It went beyond just the outside of the cave.

Daybreaker had unleashed a storm of fire from her body that was so fierce that not only did it light up the dark cave, eradicating the darkness. Necrozma had been stopped in place too, feeling the overwhelming and superior magic. As it stands currently, Daybreaker was above him.

A storm of fire had spread across the icy lands, melting it all away. Before Necrozma knew it, Daybreaker managed to reach into Necrozma's mind. The Prism Pokemon was still stunned, hovering there before then realizing that something was ringing in its head.

"Now can you hear me?" Daybreaker spoke to Necrozma. For now, Necrozma was calm. "Your rage should end here. If you were to continue, no doubt you would cause a rampage. But...that's fair, isn't it? I lost something...someone valuable to me that made me lose my old self. You shouldn't have to suffer for everything that happened here, should you?"

This time, Necrozma was taking the time to listen to Daybreaker. He could also feel something within him. Light. Daybreaker had been lending some light to him after all. He tried stealing it, only to find out that Daybreaker was offering hers in the process. Heaps of it too.

"Rampaging will do you no good, however. It will only lead to further rage and no progress but only annihilation without complete victory. So instead, let's start anew. You're free now, but how can you possibly survive in this world that has lost a majority of its light?"

Necrozma roared in response, speaking to Daybreaker. Daybreaker closed her eyes, using her magic to translate the roar of the Prism Pokemon. Thanks to her magic, she managed to under Necrozma.

"I see. You're a dark husk now. Even if you did try and somehow found more light here...it wouldn't do anything. All those years without any light has left you with a massive starvation that can last even longer than when you were imprisoned." Daybreaker translated and indeed, she was right.

Everything she said was right in Necrozma's eyes. This was where she learned of Necrozma being unique to the other Necrozmas from other universes. She needed more light than any of them.

"Let me help you then." That's when Daybreaker offered to help. "If you're so hungry for light, I will give it all to you. I will get you back up to speed and make sure that you're satisfied, however long it may take. And we can start by taking the light from the remaining light from this universe? Will that do?"

Necrozma nodded. It was a done deal. He could see that Daybreaker was truly here to help him. She was the one who freed him and the one who was offering to assist him in his quest for light. Until he reached his prime, Necrozma would starve, but that was why Daybreaker was here.

The two of them looked at each other for a bit as something resonated with Necrozma from Daybreaker. It was hard to describe, but Necrozma felt some familiarity and safety around the alicorn. He could trust her despite the overwhelming force that she exuded. Once Necrozma agreed, Daybreaker dropped her barrier.

The Ruler of Equestria held out the Ultra Ball to Necrozma, seeing if it truly trusted her. And he did. By raising his claw, Necrozma poked the Ultra Ball as it had pulled him in. The ball dropped to the ground s the traditional shaking had begun.

1...2...3...Gotcha!

Necrozma had been caught. After successfully capturing Necrozma, Daybreaker smiled before then choosing to send him out instead of keeping him inside. Necrozma now had a Pokemon Trainer. Daybreaker.

"Let's get out of here, shall we? But, perhaps there's one light source you wish to absorb first?" Daybreaker questioned. Necrozma then raised his head and claw, aiming at the sky. Or rather, space. "Space, eh...? You wish to absorb the Sun and the stars. Hmph. Brilliant. But can you breathe in space?"

Necrozma froze yet again before crying out. Now, Daybreaker could understand Necrozma thanks to the magic that she uses. The Ruler of Equestria couldn't help but chuckle at what Necrozma told it.

"Hahaha! I see. Not enough power or strength for that too." Daybreaker chuckled. "Ah. Not to worry. Soon, you'll be able to fly into the cosmos one day, Necrozma. And then the Sun, the stars and whatever lies within the final frontier will be yours to take. For now. Let's go."

It was time for them to leave. Daybreaker had succeeded in retrieving Necrozma, but she ended up forming a promise to the Prism Pokemon. A promise that she would bring back all of the energy that he had lost for centuries. Daybreaker had the lifespan to make it happen and potentially the conviction.

At the end of the day, Kyurem was never found by Team Plasma. And this was done by Daybreaker. Team Plasma received nothing while Daybreaker received Necrozma.

Universe 11. Present day. Equestria. The Solar Empire. Canterlot Palace. Afternoon.

Daybreaker finished reminiscing about the day she met Necrozma. It felt like yesterday to her. Daybreaker never forgot what she was aiming for. She had already started granting Necrozma's wish of regaining all of his light energy and now, there was another that related back to Necrozma's universe. There were also the goals that she had in her own universe that were plentiful.

"I still have a lot to do," Daybreaker spoke. "For a brighter future unto dawn. It's all for my subjects as well...And you are one of them, Necrozma." She smiled at the Ultra Ball as Necrozma sent a pulse in response. A bond had formed between them based on a promise. And Daybreaker certainly knew how to pursue a promise once it was made.

"Now then. Enough lounging around. The Supernova can most certainly absorb the Rift Energy back at your frozen world. But moving it is still an issue in itself. I'll commission for it to have mobility. As for you, Necrozma, the crystals from the Sea Temple are the best things for you. You were fairly satisfied for a while. If we can get another or more...then you'll be able to take to the cosmos and absorb the next best thing. The Sun and the Stars."

Universe 1. Equestria. Near the Crystal Empire. The Sea Temple, Samiya. Afternoon.

"Woohoo! This is amazing!" And back in this universe, Delia, Ash and a few others were enjoying themselves by using the crystal's power to form new clothes. Delia went wild with the crystal, using it to make clothes befitting of a queen as just minutes later, this entire room had been covered in clothes with all of the guards drowning in a sea of them.

"Awesome. But these are a lot of clothes. Don't ya think?" Ash said, wearing the clothes befitting of a King.

"Not at all, Ash." Delia, alongside Rarity who was talking from Twilight's Xtransceiver protested. "The skies are the limit and if you have a lot of power, why not have fun with it for the simplest things?"

"She's right you know, your majesty," Alo spoke while having multiple dresses on his face. Pikachu was given some clothes that fit his size while Twilight, Fluttershy and the older Flurry Heart dressed themselves up based on what they imagined.

"I would use those crystals for something else but...whatever." Sombra shrugged as he was still being followed by Water-Type Pokemon.

"Maybe those clothes from your Galaxy Master book will do?" Delia held out Ash's old comic book of when he was a child, resonating it with the crystal. "Or perhaps, something new that comes to mind?"

"Well..." Ash scratched his hair. "There's a lot I wanna name."

"Ohohoho, my dear Ash." Delia laughed. "My room is compatible with my clothes. Your room not so much, so be careful."

"Aw, man! You're right! Wish I had a bigger room now..." Ash replied causing everyone to laugh as the book of Galaxy Master was placed back inside the bag. Deia felt done here as the crystals made things entertaining for her. But her time at the Sea Temple was not over as more entertainment was due.

"Come on! Show your new queen around!" Delia decided to walk like a queen now that she was wearing the appropriate attire. The guards were currently trapped to follow her though. But now, they all saw a large portion of Ash inside Delia. Ash does get his traits from both his parents after all.

Now that Delia was made aware of the Sea Temple and can now visit it at any time, becoming the newest queen while her son still ruled over it the most, the People of the Water had not seen the last of Delia Ketchum and the last of what she could bring to their temple as the journey continues.

Chapter 824 End.
