//------------------------------// // Icy Planet // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Equestria. The Sea Temple. Samiya. Afternoon. Still nearby the Crystal Empire was the Sea Temple, residing in the cold waters of the north. This time, Ash had brought along his mother, Delia Ketchum to view this Sea Temple that wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, but had the stupendous speed to go from one place to another in seconds. Joining the Ketchum Family were Twilight, Fluttershy and the Flurry Heart from another universe who were just here for a visit, lounging around the temple. "Welcome back, your majesty." Alo, the Royal Advisor to Ash and the Sea Temple had walked up to the group. "And to all of his friends, allies and mother." "Ah, so this is the place where you became a king? You'll always be my little prince, though." Delia chuckled as Ash put his hand on his face in slight embarrassment. "Aw, mom..." "So. What does that make me?" Delia asked the People of the Water. "I'm sure you can all consider me a queen, right?" "Uh..." The guards looked at each other before shrugging. "S-Sure? Maybe." "Oooh, how fun!" An elated Delia clapped her hands. "When I was young, I dreamed about being a princess but a Queen works better too, don't you think?" "Hmm...Guess so!" Ash laughed. "I'm the King so I hereby say you're the Queen. Does that work out, mom?" "Definitely." "That's not how it works but whatever..."Sombra just shook his head as he was surrounded by Water-Types who wouldn't separate from him. "You're lucky to be a princess yourself, Twilight. Flurry Heart." Delia then turned to the alicorn. "I do see a lot of princesses in this world too. Ah, it's like a fantasy coming true. It took a while, but it happened. I suppose that's to be expected since you had another dream that came true, Ash." "I did? But I'm not a Pokemon Master yet." "Not that. Way before that. It was something along the lines of being a hero. No, no...it's far beyond what you are now. You remember, don't you?" Delia put on a sly face, nudging Ash. It took a few seconds for Ash to pinpoint what she was referring to. He immediately grimaced as Pikachu needed to know this as well. "What is she referring to, your majesty?" The People of the Water slid over. "Yeah. What is it?" Flurry Heart questioned. "Uhh...well...Ya see..." The King of the Sea lowered his head. He was hiding something that only Delia knew about. "I didn't think she'd remember it." "Oh, it's just the most precious thing you'll ever see. He went out of his way to make his own hero. What was he called again? Ashman?" "It was Galaxy Master!" Ash cried out, correcting Delia. "And it was the coolest thing ever. Still kinda is too ya know. Ashman was a prototype and all that..." "P-Pika!" "Pfft!" Unable to contain their amusement, Pikachu, Twilight and some of the People of the Water chuckled at it. They found it amusing indeed. "Right, right. I never forgot about it anyway. I tried getting it out to the local radio station, but I wasn't so lucky. I think the book is still around too." "Really? Are all the pages there, mom?" Ash asked as Delia dug into her bag, pulling out the sacred item that Ash still held near and dear to him. The comic book. "Still perfectly stable. But the paper has shown its age a bit." The book had a cover that showed this Galaxy Man character. His stature was a tall and vigorous one, befitting of a superhero. There were a plethora of pages made up of paper too. "Oh. So that means you wrote your own story?" Twilight looked over at Ash. "That's a lot of pages too." "Sure did. Man, it was so cool making him. He's the coolest ever!" Ash raised his arms into the air. "It didn't last very long. I only drew him for a few months and some of those pages aren't filled up and are totally blank, but I'll never forget how much fun it was to make that book." "You had a nice sense of naming even back then too," Fluttershy commented. "In any case, mom is right. I lived up to that status too, being a hero and all. I guess we all lived up to what we wanna be. Well, I wanna be a Pokemon Master though. That'll take a bit longer." "I never imagined or dreamed of being a princess, actually." Twilight decided to chime in her dreams. "When I became one, it threw me off guard." "What did you want to be then, auntie?" Flurry Heart asked. "To tell you the truth, I still wanted to be Celestia's student. But I never thought about becoming an alicorn when learning with her. So in the end, I reached my goal just with some bonus prizes." "Oooh! Oooh! I've got a dream!" Flurry Heart raised her hoof, drawing the attention of the others. "It's...umm..." "It's...?" Twilight and the group leaned in, wondering what the alicorn from another universe would say. "It's...well, I haven't thought about it." But, it was a letdown as Flurry Heart had nothing to offer. "I don't have anything to shoot for." "Nothing at all?" Delia questioned. "Nope. Most of my years living under my other auntie's rule made me lose any ideas of being something. But now that I don't have to worry about that, I can be whatever. Just what though? What do you think, Sombra?" "Bah. You're already a princess, what more could you want?" Sombra scoffed. "Being a ruler is the only goal one should strive towards. Especially since you have proper control over your Crystal Empire back in your universe." "Yeah, but that's kinda boring. I want something more exciting. I could try and be the best Pokemon Card Duelist out there...That battle with Zero was fun after all. Is there something for that back at your world, Ash?" "No idea. Might be." He grinned back at her. "I'll go for that too. I've already collected so many cards after all." "Now. Delia...We-" "Please! Call me Queen Delia!" Delia interrupted Alto, wanting to go by the Queen status now that she had been royally given one by her own son. "Right. Queen Delia. Being that you're the son of our majesty, how would some clothes befitting of a Queen sound?" "Perfect! Take me to these amazing clothes immediately. I'd love to wear them oh-so-much." Delia put her hands together with her eyes lighting up. "Of course. But, we don't have clothes for a queen. Instead, we make some. The first of its kind. And we shall do it...with the crystals." Alo revealed. "Crystals?" Delia repeated. "From the Crystal Empire?" "No, no. The Crystals from our temple. The ones that hold astronomical power. Your majesty. You already know of the amazing power that the crystals can do as you've experienced them yourself." "Yeah. Get this mom. It lets you fly through the water and even the air. Plus, they've got the power to make this temple go crazy fast from one place to another." "They do? Oh, they must be magical then! I would've still been convinced if they came from this world too." "Indeed. The crystals can do many things. And one of their stupendous powers is to make clothes. Does that sound enticing?" "Yeah, it does!" Ash, Delia, Twilight, Fluttershy and Flurry Heart collectively exclaimed as they were equally all for it. If only Rarity were here to hear this. "Rarity's going to be here to hear this." Twilight already thought ahead, holding out her Xtransceiver. "Well, come along." Alo led them to the room where the crystals and the Sea Crown resided. More of their amazing power was about to be revealed as they were also focused on the simpler things. "I could bring some clothes back with me to my universe. My subjects back at my Crystal Empire, or I guess the Crystal Kingdom, still aren't in high spirits. Hearth's Warming managed to spark something back in them." Flurry Heart spoke to Twilight while walking to the treasure room. "If that crystal can potentially make clothes of our liking, then there's no doubt whatever's best for your subjects can be made," Twilight replied. "At least, that's what I'm guessing." "Mhm. Great Aunt Celestia will love it too. But...I'm probably reaching too far if I think about Great Aunt Daybreaker as well." "Oh. Daybreaker?" Twilight wasn't too stunned when Daybreaker's name was brought up, despite her severe impact on the Sea Temple thanks to Necrozma. "Ah, sorry, sorry. I still have strong feelings for her even if she's my auntie from another world. Is that weird?" "Not at all. You're still the daughter of Shining Armor and Cadence in this universe. And I guess that also makes you the older sister of this world's Flurry Heart. It's a bit wild, but it makes sense." "That perfectly describes all of this Pokemon stuff, huh." Flurry Heart laughed alongside Twilight. But, Flurry Heart just couldn't help but think about Daybreaker, who, despite how she presented herself, was a pony that Flurry Heart saw in the same light as this world's Celestia, Cadence and Shining Armor. Universe 11. Equestria. The Solar Empire. Canterlot Palace. Day. Speaking of Daybreaker, currently, she was in her room. For once, she wasn't making big moves to further reach her plans. Even a powerful ruler such as herself chose to wind down. But even when relaxing, Daybreaker was still plotting and in deep thought. In this instance, Daybreaker was holding Necrozma's Poke Ball, looking at it. The dangerous Necrozma rested within, still craving more light. The fact that Necrozma still needed more after what he had gone through was unbelievable to Daybreaker. "Necrozma. What's it going to take for you to be satisfied?" Daybreaker wondered, speaking to the Prism Pokemon from within. "The light from the Sea Temple Crystals. Light from other Pokemon and even light sources from cities and so on. Nothing is satisfying you." In response, Necrozma's cry had come from the Poke Ball with a prismatic pulse emerging. He spoke to Daybreaker as the alicorn understood clearly. "I know. You were absent from any light for centuries." Daybreaker then looked outside her window. "It'll take far more to satisfy you. But for how long?" Indeed, Necrozma's absence of light has led him to the point where not even light sources from other worlds were enough. The vast light that came from the crystals managed to satisfy him for a bit, but it wasn't enough. Daybreaker knew that she could probably fulfil Necrozma's hunger for centuries to come, but even that would be a hassle. Necrozma needed more. Sitting around was not an option for him as he continued to cry out for more light. "I understand completely, Necrozma. I know how you feel as well. It was made clear to me on the day I first encountered and caught you." Daybreaker responded as she began thinking back to when she first met Necrozma. Before she found Necrozma, the Prism Pokemon was in a different situation than he was currently, but there was still a vast craving for light. 2 years ago. Another Pokemon World. Out in a harsh cold world. There existed a universe that was parallel to many other Pokemon Universes out there. Nothing uncommon. However, this universe compared to the ones that have been seen so far was practically a nightmare to be at. At a first glance, this looked to be a tundra or an arctic area, filled with nothing but snow and ice. However, that was not the case as it would soon be revealed by Colress. A gateway opened up in the sky, revealing the Plasma Frigate as it had arrived in this universe and the cold area. "We've arrived," Colress spoke at the helm of the frigate. "This universe seems to be nothing but ice all around." "What do you mean by ice all around? Isn't this just an arctic area?" Daybreaker questioned. "No. I mean that the world is ice." To further prove it to Daybreaker and the others, Colress pulled up a holographic map of this world from every angle. This world was shown to have an entirely different colour than most. It still retained the colour blue but with a far more icy flavour to it. Colress spun the holographic projection, showing every angle as each part had an icy aura radiating from it. He zoomed in, showing the different locations that would be countries. But at this point, they weren't. There were indeed buildings, but they were all frozen over. Pure white ice and snow had layered over them. The buildings had frozen with a thick cold mist masking the area, making it impossible to see anything else. Colress moved to another location, showing towns, cities, villages, forests and so on, all under the effect of a powerful blizzard. No matter what he showed, there was always ice. "As you can see, everything is frozen. The entire planet is one big ice ball." Colress explained as the grunts from both Team Plasma and the Solar Empire gasped at this chilling sight. "Oh...n-now you tell us!" A pony shuddered as she and many others were starting to feel the overwhelming cold, causing them all to clatter their teeth. Ghetsis seemed fine, however, using his Dark Magic to keep himself warm. Daybreaker was completely fine as well since she was essentially a walking Sun. "Here is where Necrozma is said to be found. Right?" Ghetsis said to Colress. "That's right. From what I found out about this icy world, it looks like the culprit responsible for this is Kyurem." Colress revealed the Pokemon that had frozen this world. "Kyurem?" Daybreaker repeated, hearing Kyurem's name for the first time. "Kyurem is a Pokemon we've had a small interaction with in the past. We once tried capturing Kyurem but failed, so we managed to find its other half Reshiram. But, during our mission to try and capture Kyurem, I managed to discover some of its Infinity Energy. And even now, that same energy has been found. Look." Colress switched screens, showing Daybreaker exactly what he meant. Readings went off as the ice coming from this world was so connected to Kyurem that a holographic projection of Kyurem had also shown up in the corner. "It's the same ice. Without a doubt, Kyurem is responsible for this. Who else would be able to freeze the entire planet? I also found that Ice-Type Pokemon are more common than ever in this world while the other types are practically in hiding or hibernation. You're bound to find some Fire-Types too." "And this Pokemon Necrozma is supposed to be here?" Daybreaker questioned. "Surely there is no chance that it could survive in a place like this." "There's not enough light for Necrozma to absorb." A Shadow Triad Member said. "Lord Ghetsis. Is this a Pokemon that we truly want?" "It is. The power behind Necrozma is one that is arguably the greatest of all time. Kyurem is said to be the world's strongest dragon, but Necrozma hides a power that rivals that." "Speaking of which, my research has led me to discover that Necrozma has been here for centuries now." Colress continued, manipulating his screen as he showed the group the whereabouts of the Prism Pokemon. The screen had focused on the icy world, fixating specifically on this area where the Plasma Frigate was. Colress zoomed in a bit to reveal the location of Necrozma. By zooming in through a deep cave that only seemed to go deeper and deeper, there was a turbulent blizzard that was joined by another blizzard. Many of them squinted their eyes to try and see past the blizzards as it seemed to lead into another dofp part in the cave with so many layers to it. Eventually, past all the darkness, that's where they saw it. The Prism Pokemon Necrozma. Trapped within a 30-layered iceberg, covered in snow, the Psychic-Type could be found resting there, surrounded by not just a prison of ice, but a gruesome snowstorm that had no end to it. "Necrozma..." Daybreaker gawked, witnessing Necrozma for the first time. "From what little is known about this universe, centuries ago, a horrible veniality was done that caused Kyurem to bring this world to an ice age." Colress started explaining what he knew about this world's chilling origin. "Kyurem's anger was vast, leading it to cause a flash-freeze that froze the entire world. Seeing the taboo that had been done, Kyurem deemed this world unworthy to continue on as the way it is currently, leading to this." "Are there even any people left in this world?" Ghetsis questioned. "Yes, but it's little. But when Kyurem chose to freeze the world, Necrozma intervened. It knew that if everything were to be frozen, where would it find light to absorb? Light is Necrozma's life. Without it, it would either go crazy or worse. Perish. Like a Spoink without its bouncing heart. I would assume they had a fierce battle which resulted in Necrozma being frozen. Or, it was just the weather that eventually got to it. Either way, Necrozma is a victim of this ice age that Kyurem had made." "Hmmm..." After hearing that, Daybreaker continued to look at Necrozma and his frozen body. "Honestly, I'd say it's for the better." Colress shrugged. "Necrozma is far too terrifying. But...you still wish to use its power, don't you, Lord Ghetsis?" "It doesn't matter how terrifying the Pokemon may be. Power is power. It's also about time Necrozma left its century-long slumber in that ice." Ghetsis replied. "But...if things do go awry..." "I'll go after it." Daybreaker stepped forward, choosing to go after Necrozma as she used her magic to grab an Ultra Ball from the tale. "I know the situation already. That Pokemon shall be mine. "Without a plan?!" Colress gasped. "Don't you see all the ice here?!" "What of it? I decided to come for Necrozma as a recommendation. Ever since you told me about what Necrozma was capable of, I already had great plans brewing in my head. Oh. Here's a suggestion that sounds good to the ears. The Pokemon you couldn't capture before. Kyurem, was it? Now that you're here, why not give it a second go? Might find some better luck here." Daybreaker giggled, taunting Team Plasma. "Tch." Colress scoffed. "That's true. This might be our second best try to capture Kyurem, Lord Ghetsis. If we fail..." "If we fail...it will be frustrating, but not the end of the world. We have other options." Ghetsis responded. "I'll go alone, might I add." Daybreaker nodded as her horn sparked with an eerie orange that also had flames bursting out of it. "Alone?! Wait, your majesty-" The Solar Empire ponies cried out, but it was too late. Daybreaker had already teleported out of the Plasma Frigate and into the harsh cold land. The rest of Team Plasma were already set on finding Kyurem while the soldiers from the Solar Empire would follow their Queen. Necrozma was the prime target, but Kyurem was a bonus in their eyes. Daybreaker arrived at the snow-capped mountains and immediately after showing up, her flames had melted some of the snow around her. Mainly her mane and tail. She trotted off as from the Plasma Frigate, the Solar Empire Ponies, which consisted of pegasi had flown out, following their ruler. The armour that they wore certainly wasn't enough to keep them warm. But that's where Daybreaker came in. She used her magic to coat all of her troops in a blazing orange aura. That aura had great heat behind it that was enough to keep them all warm and survive the harsh cold. The designated destination was a cave. A stupendously deep cave. Meanwhile, Team Plasma went off to do their own thing. 2 hours later. A 2-hour journey. For 2 hours, Daybreaker and her troops have been moving through the snow, searching for this cave that was located somewhere between these massive mountains. They even passed through a city that was completely abandoned and dcivilizationllization thanks to the unbelievable abundance of ice and snow. This civilization certainly showed its age as the buildings were originally made out of clay and wood along with traces of hay. The many sounds of wild Pokemon who've made their home in this town are carried in the wind and give it a new sense of liveliness and vibrancy that still had a haunting feeling to it. Path after path of abandoned homes made for a terrifying thought. Each house was once a home, a home belonging to a family and now there was only emptiness. But with nothing else to lose this town had a strange sense of comfort about it. Like a world of opportunity, except there was nobody there to take it. But while continuing on their path, Daybreaker and her forces came across some trouble. Trouble via some Pokemon. "Glalie!" Beartic had appeared by bursting through the roof of a building, letting out a terrifiyng cry that went well with the blizzard as joining the Freezing Pokemon were a group of Weavile. They are most commonly known for living in these harsh conditions and hunt their prey with a great advantage over the environment and weather. And in this case, they had an eternal advantage thanks to Kyurem. "Trouble? I should've expected some in this harsh cold land." Daybreaker commented as the Weavile continued to appear out of the buildings. They weren't that abandoned after all. The Ice-Types now proudly call everywhere their home. And everywhere was their territory. "Weavile!" Once the Weavile appeared in massive numbers, collectively, they had all used Blizzard. As if the area wasn't harsh enough with an ongoing and endless snowstorm, the Weavile had added to it with their vast number advantage. Once the blizzards emerged, the troops already felt their bodies being held down. This was more than what they could normally handle, even with the heat keeping them warm. However, Daybreaker was unaffected. Every time a snowflake came close, it melted away as her fiery body was enough to handle this. "This is a waste of my time." Daybreaker did not pay any mind to the Weaviles and the Beartic. She walked forward, looking Glalie in the eyes. "I'll leave everything else here to you all. Necrozma is all I want." Daybreaker left everything to her troops as they would have to deal with the Weavile and their massive numbers. The troops saluted even with some of them being carried away in the snowstorm. But they had great faith in their ruler while Daybreaker counted on them. Soon, the troops and the Weavile were all lost in the snowstorm and the mist, nearly impossible to see as the only one left standing in Daybreaker's way was Glalie. "Glalie!" Glalie attempted to stop Daybreaker, using Sheer Cold to do so. Glalie's body became surrounded by a blue aura as the inside of its mouth shines white. The ground around Glalie begins to freeze anything in its wake, sending a flash of ice toward Daybreaker. "Which means you're irrelevant. So out of my WAY!" Daybreaker used her Royal Canterlot Voice, staggering Glalie as she also breathed fire from her mouth. Her destructive flames easily powered through the energy of Sheer Cold as if I was nothing. Glalie gasped as its body was blasted by unbridled heat. "G-Glai!" Glalie cried out as it was sent crashing through some frozen hills in the distance, gaining insane velocity while also having a trail of fire come out of it. Daybreaker closed her mouth with some smoke coming out of it before continuing on her path. She could hear the Weavile attacking her troops, unbeknownst of what could be happening and how they would fare against the Ice-Dark-Types. But, she was only focused on Necrozma more than anything. 4 hours later. 4 hours had passed now. It was hard to tell where the Sun was. But after those 4 hours, Celestia had come across the cave with multiple depths where Necrozma was resting. In there, endless darkness could be found, but it was nothing that Daybreaker couldn't solve with her constant flaming body. The Corrupted Sun stared into the vast darkness of the cave before looking to the side. There were other caves here, but none of them had that same darkness that the middle one had. Daybreaker could even hear unusual noises coming from it. Without wasting any more time, Daybreaker went into the cave, ready to find and catch Necrozma. And the moment she chose to do so, within one of the caves which seemed to be unimportant, golden eyes flashed through them, watching the alicorn from another universe enter it. And joining those golden eyes that had a constant glow to them was a growl before the eyes then faded into the mist. Daybreaker had more than just the Weavile and Glalie and even Necrozma to expect as the journey continues. Chapter 823 End.
