//------------------------------// // Chapter 2: Mipedian Hide and Seek // Story: Getting Chaotic in Equestria // by Sacred Sky Heart //------------------------------// After my initial freak out, I noticed some of their pony features looked familiar. Not only that, I could see they wore sort of skimpy undergarments to reveal a mark on their hips. If I were to guess on all this correctly, as only one show about ponies I recall involved horses having butt tattoos every time which magically appear at unexpected moments, this was clearly some universe of MLP. Great, I am apparently stuck in a world based on girls fantasies.... Before I could continue my inward complaining, I feel a slight jab at my side and realize it's a spear poking me. "Okay you, I don't know why you screamed. However, I suggest you come along nice and easy. I don't want to give the King any reason to-" "Uh, sorry. But you will have to catch me first!" Before the unicorn with the spear could respond, I jump to my feet and make a run for it. "HAY! GET BACK HERE!" I would have said something smart-alecky at that moment, but I suddenly trip on something and fall face first. "Pfft. Great.... What did I-" I check to see what I tripped on, only to find the scanner the so called 'Code Master' gave me before this whole fiasco started. Looking it over, I notice it seemed to operate like an actual scanner. Smirking and getting an idea, I skim through the deck until I found a certain Creature. "Hold it right there!" Looking up, I see that the pegasus girl is hovering above me, her unicorn partner soon reaching us and panting for breathe. "*Huff* Good *huff* job there, *huff* Star Catcher..." "Heh.. Can I say you did awesome for that game of Chase?" I say, making both pony anthros stare at me. "Wait, that was a game?" asks the pegasus, now known as Star Catcher. "Uh, yeah!" I lie, but smile through it all. "But there is one last game I want to play before you take me to whoever is in charge." "Well...." Star Catcher seems unsure, but then the unicorn aims his spear at me again. "Any other funny business, and I will not care about sparing you." "Swift Wit! I thought you would be more calm!" exclaimed Star. I chuckle a bit. "Well, first I want to make sure my magic works." I say, pressing onto my screen with the selected creature on the surface. As I do this, the scanner disappears into code, which then swirls around my arm and goes over my whole body. Soon I am in a lizard-like body that was colored in golden scales and adorned in large golden-brown spaulders and arm braces. My voice also takes on that of the creature, being Zhade, the Midpedian Stalker. As I finish my transformation, both ponies stare at me before training their weapons on me again. I notice at this time that Star apparently is armed with a bow and arrow. "Hey! I just wanted to prepare for our next game!" I speak in a lower yet sandy voice, slightly worried I might not be able to test this out. "And what, pray tell, game would need you to use magic and transform yourself?" asked Swift. I give a sly smirk, which is noticed by both but they aren't fast enough to react as I suddenly turn invisible due to Zhade's ability. "Hide-and-Seek. Best find me soon, because I am not sticking around to be a lab rat!" I exclaim, making my escape carefully with Zhade's experience guiding me on how to be stealthy. Let me tell you right now, turning into a creature and gaining their knowledge at the forefront of the moment is nice. However, I knew deep down somehow this wouldn't happen all the time. After getting a decent amount of distance from the two, I decide to watch them flail around as they tried to find me. One moment, I see Swift fall into a pool of mud, which was hilarious as Star tries to help him out only to get pulled in. As I watched, I could tell these two were in a relationship of sorts, but this game was getting on their nerves with the new being. After several hours and the sun preparing to set, the two sigh in defeat and decide to leave. "Whoever you are, you won this game. Expect us to return for a rematch!" shouts Swift. Wow, didn't expect him to actually be aggressive in games. "Alrighty then, Swift! Also, call me Perim Shifter! Hope you had fun swimming in the mud!" I cackle at the end, and I could see both ponies blushing deep red as they turned to leave.
