Night Sprout

Equestria. Canterlot. Canterlot Stadium. Afternoon.

The Canterlot Junior Cup continues as the first four matches had ended. Now it was time for the remaining six matches to begin. And this time, Scootaloo would be up next facing off against a pony by the name of Sweet Sorbet.

As for the recent trainer who had just finished battling, Blue Moon, who was not who she seemed to be. After hiding behind the back of the stadium to stay in the shade once the sun got brighter, she was a vampire. Not an average pony. This vampire foal took a break, deciding to stay under the shade until the first matches were over. And while staying there, she got a message in her head. From Rosa Maledicta the Lich Queen of the Dread League.

"Night Sprout. How goes things?" Rosa's voice came through, speaking to this vampire pony who had taken on a fake name to disguise herself.

"They're going good so far, Queen Rosa." Night Sprout replied to her in her mind. "Thank you for letting me join this competition. But I wish I could use the box right now. Please? I've always wanted to use it."

"You're not allowed to use the Box of 100 Demons here. Besides, you're on your own and that will create problems. You're here for Yveltal knowledge while we focus on getting more knowledge about Yveltal elsewhere. That's the only reason why I let you join this tournament."

"I got it." Night Sprout squinted her eyes while looking up at the sun. "But, it'd be great if anypony back at Magehold would come over and watch me maybe with this. You should've seen my first battle. I won!"

"They're too busy. Remember, focus on Yveltal. Twilight Sparkle's Castle in Ponyville or her lab might be the way to go."

"I got it. The second round might not start soon, so I'll start poking around there." Just then, Night Sprout turned into a bat as her fastest form of transportation. "I' might make it back in time too. Could I still use the box though?"

"No. Use the Curse Magic you already have."

"Okay, okay..." She groaned before flying off, heading to Ponyville before the second round of the Canterlot Junior Cup could start. And thanks to her being a vampire, her speed was enough to make up for it. And it certainly did as she stayed within the shadows while also already being far away from the stadium and the castle.

She was by far the smallest bat due to her being a foal as her visage disappeared within the shadows with no one even nearby to see her or even notice her. But of course, despite being on a mission sent by the Dread League, this vampire filly took part in the Canterlot Junior Cup just for fun. And with the rate these battles are going at, the second bracket could start sooner if she wasn't quick enough.

But, Night Sprout wasn't as alone as she thought she was. She may use the shadows as protection from the Sun, but there was one individual who worked within the shadows, always watching even under daylight without any fear of the star in the azure skies, unlike a vampire.

Darkrai.

The eye of Darkrai poked out of the shadows as he locked onto Night Sprout, spying on her and witnessing her transformation into a vampire. Darkrai knew what he needed to do next. He hid back into the shadows before then pursuing the filly vampire, racing her to Ponyville.

Back at the arena, Scootaloo's match against Sweet Sorbet was about to begin. "Both trainers, please send out your Pokemon." The referee spoke.

"Okay! I choose you, Quilava!" Scootaloo chose her first Pokemon. Quilava.

"Quilava!"

"Then my pick is Rotom!" Sweet Sorbet chose Rotom. In this case, it was Fan Rotom.

"Rotom!"

"Battle Start!"

"Okay, Quilava! Use Flame Wheel!"

"Quil!" Quilava went first, curling up into a ball before then igniting his entire body in flames, making a circular fire around him. The Volcano Pokemon then started rolling, leaving fire trails behind him and on the ground.

"Nuh-uh! Rotom, blow it away!"

"Ro!" Instead of using an attack, Rotom ended up using its fan as retaliation. By spinning its body, it created a powerful gust of wind that enveloped this entire area with an impressive radius. This kind of Pokemon was greatly needed during summer, but right now, this isn't what Scootaloo or Quilava, who thrived off of summer, needed as the wind was holding back Quilava from getting close.

"Q-Quilava!"

"Come on, Quilava! Push through!" Scootaloo encouraged her partner as Quilava was trying his best. And indeed, he was starting to move forward, but all Rotom had to do was amplify the intensity of the fan. The gust of wind increased as Quilava couldn't get close enough, resulting in him being forced back.

"Now, use Air Slash!"

"Ro!" Rotom then finally used an attack. Right after pushing Quilava back, it had unleashed white blades of wind that could tear through even the air itself. Quilava had been bombarded by this barrage of wind blades while in the air.

"Lava!" Quilava cried out before rolling on the ground. He managed to recover by sliding before then shaking his head afterwards.

"Do you feel better? It's summer so the heat is boiling. And it's hotter than ever too thanks to all the Fire-Types that live here." Sweet Sorbet commented. "Rotom's here to fix that."

"Eh. Not really." Surprisingly, Scootaloo shrugged, essentially finding this heat to be not as intense as Sweet Sorbet said it was.

"Huh?" Naturally, the unicorn was surprised by her answer. "How come?"

"I live with two Fire-Types. I've spent so much time around them that I've gotten used to the heat." The little pegasus grinned. "It's all okay for me. And as a bonus, since it's summer, every Fire-Type is stronger than ever! This includes my Quilava and Rapidash! So let's keep going and show her, Quilava! Rollout!"

"Lava!" Quilava curled into a ball once more, this time, using Rollout as he spun so fast that he became a red and dark blue colour based on his coat and flames before then zooming off.

"I'll just blow it back again! Go, Rotom!"

"Rotom!" Rotom did it again, spinning its fan to create a mighty gust of wind. However, Scootaloo and Quilava were prepared for it. And Scootaloo figured that the best way to get around this was to use a trick from one of her idols Rainbow Dash.

"Drift, Quilava!"

"Quilava!" Quilava had then drifted while using the speed he had gained. It was similar to how Rainbow Dash's Whirlipede tends to drift with Rollout and Steamroller. Perfect for dodging, attacking and gaining momentum. And that same approach was used here.

Quilava managed to drift to the side, evading the gust of wind just barely as it grazed him, almost knocking him off balance. Once Quilava pulled off a successful drift, he accelerated, crashing into Rotom from the side via the speed he gained from drifting.

"R-Ro!" Rotom took a super-effective hit from Rollout as it was knocked back, ironically spinning through the air from that impact.

"Oh, that's your trick, Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie Pie pointed out.

"Any Pokemon with that kind of move can do that...but it sure is a strong one." Rainbow Dash replied. "Great job, Scootaloo!"

"Nice one! Now, use Flamethrower!"

"Quick, Rotom! Use Discharge!"

"Lava!" Quilava and Rotom entered a clash with Quilava throwing a ferocious flame that came out of his mouth and Rotom unleashing a flare of electricity that moved around like a violent whip. The scarlet stream of flames and the golden flare of electricity clashed with intensity with neither being stronger than the other. Both attacks cancelled each other out in the process.

"Rotom! Shadow Ball!"

"Ro!" From the smoke clouds of the two attacks blowing up against each other, Rotom had shot ut Shadow Ball, sending a blob of shadows that carried the smoke along with it.

"Let's charge right through it, Quilava! Flame Wheel!"

"Quilava!" Quilava would take the attack head-on. By forming a wheel around his curled body once more, he rushed in headfirst, approaching the blob of shadows. Quilava crashed into Shadow Ball, entering a small struggle with it. However, this ended soon once Quilava ended up breaking through the blob.

"No Way!" Sweet Sorbet gasped as Quilava had the right strength necessary. And the heat of summer played into it.

"Yes Way! Go, Quilava!"

"Lava!" Quilava then approached Rotom-Fan at full throttle right after destroying the bl of shadows like it was nothing.

"Are they always this much stronger during summer?!" Starlight gasped. "I mean it makes sense but...!"

"Fire-Types thrive the most during summertime," Fluttershy replied. "Under the summer sun, they're at their absolute best and they're almost unstoppable too. Isn't that right, Raboot?"

"Raboot!"

"Quick, Rotom! Stop it with Air Slash!"

"Rotom!" To try and fend Quilava off, Rotom unleashed those tearing blades of wind once more as now the pressure was starting to be felt. But not even Air Slash could get past the incoming Volcano Pokemon. With brute force and some momentum to boot, Quilava powered through the slashes with his aura of fire before then crashing into Rotom. "R-Ro!"

A direct hit, followed by a flaming explosion. Out of that explosion, Quilava had done a backflip, emerging in one piece. A Pokemon like him thrived off of explosions and the flames they bring about. Not so much Rotom. At least, not in this form. Heat Rotom sure, but Fan Rotom ended up perishing.

"Rotom..." By slowly descending to the ground, Rotom had fainted.

"Rotom is unable to battle! Quilava wins! Thus, the victor is Scootaloo!"

"Hehehe! Yes!" She jumped for joy, almost flying for a split second there. She then pranced over to Quilava, hugging the Volcano Pokemon with a great leap. "You were so awesome, Quilava!"

"Quilava."

"That'll do it. I taught her that drifting stuff, ya know." Rainbow Dash proudly nodded her head due to Scootaloo's efforts. "I can tell you that she'll make it to the very end."

"That's the stuff, Apple Bloom!" Ash pumped his fist with Pikachu jumping for joy.

"Pikachu! Pika-Pika!"

"For trainers so new to the Pokemon World, they catch on fast..." Tobias gawked, stunned by the rapid growing strength of these Pokemon Trainers from another world.

"You have Ash to thank for that. Before the Pokemon School, he taught everypony over at Ponyville how to battle and they've all grown to be such great trainers. They've even helped save this world from major threats, you know. And they'll do it again someday."

As Scootaloo thanked Sweet Sorbet for a fun battle, shaking hooves, they went back to the stadium as the next match between Little Mark and Petals would ensue. After that, the one that Applejack was looking forward to the most was Apple Bloom vs Lu Petunia.

Path to Ponyville.

Night Sprout was still on her way to Ponyville while the Canterlot Junior Cup was ongoing. However, at the speed she was moving at, she could very well make it in time for her second battle. She had already passed Exploud Canyon and even the Pixie Plains while still staying concealed in shadows.

Manehattan and other locations had been passed by as her bat form certainly allowed to her move at impressive speeds. Especially for a child. But, pursuing this vampire filly was Darkrai after learning about her true identity and her main reason for being here aside from taking part in the Canterlot Junior Cup, which was of her own volition.

"It should be up ahead." She said in her bat form. "This'll be easy! If I get information about Yveltal...I'll get so many rewards I can feel it." She started daydreaming. "All the deluxe food that only the Queen gets to eat...maybe my own castle. Or even a special curse that nopony else has seen. It'll be so great! And winning that cup is gonna look good in my room too."

"Sounds to me like you have big dreams for someone so mischievous." Suddenly Darkrai spoke with his voice echoing through Night Sprout's ears.

"Gee, thanks." Without knowing for a few seconds, Night Sprout had instinctively replied to Darkrai. But it took only 2 seconds of silence for Night Sprout to gasp, realizing that someone was listening to her. "Ah!"

Darkrai emerged from the shadows while also flying beside Night Sprout at the same time, keeping up with her great speed. The Pitch Black Pokemon looked her dead in the eyes, intimidating the little vampire filly. "So. You're a part of the Dread League. And from Magehold."

"Who are you!?" Night Sprout flew back, only for Darkrai to advance on her. She then stopped flying, coming to a screeching halt as she stopped right near Froggy Bottom Bogg. Night Sprout was able to get a closer look at Darkrai, recognizing him as Darkrai had some fame within Equestria. "You're...Darkrai!"

"You know about me...Then you should know that coming here by yourself out in broad daylight is not a wise move." Darkrai crossed his arms, looking down at Night Sprout who was genuinely terrified of the Dark-Type, despite coming from a place filled with skeletons, vampires and demons.

"You...You..." But soon, her terrified face suddenly changed once she took a longer look at Darkrai. "You're so amazing!"

"Hm?" Darkrai's eye opened up a bit as he expected something more along the lines of true fear. But instead, all he got was admiration from Night Sprout.

"I've heard about you!" Night Sprout started zipping around, gawking at the Pitch Black Pokemon from all sides with stars in her eyes. "The nightmares you bring to others are just amazing! You can manipulate the shadows and think of the worst possible things! You're my idol!"

"I am?" Darkrai stood there, stunned by this revelation. Instead of just fighting back or even running from Darkrai, Night Sprout expressed genuine intrigue and admiration for him.

"Oh yeah! And I guess everywhere else over at Magehold. Everypony there is so amazed by you because of what you do! They wish they had a Pokemon that was exactly like you!"

"Uhh..."

"And I get to meet you! I mean, I knew I Would eventually one day, but not so soon! Lucky me! Can I take a picture with you? I brought a camera with me!" She then held out her jacket, pulling something out of it. A bat-like camera had been revealed, specifically tailored to the ponies of the Dread League.

Darkrai was still trying to process this encounter which wasn't going the way he thought. Night Sprout stood next to him before using this camera to take a picture. The result was an excited and thrilled Night Sprout having the biggest smile on her face and a perplexed and dumbfounded Darkrai who had a poker face on. Which was just his regular face.

"Sweet!" She pranced on the spot once the picture was taken. "This is going up my wall too..."

"I'm never great with children. And this is a new kind of challenge. But even so..." Darkrai thought to himself. Dealing with a child who was also a vampire was without a doubt his biggest challenge yet. But even if she was a child, Darkrai put the safety of his friends before anything else since this involves Yveltal. "Ahem. Kid. Sorry, but, I'm afraid this is as far as you go."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean. I have to take you back to Canterlot. You have a Junior Cup to finish, don't you?"

"I do, but I'll be quick about it. I just have to get to Ponyville and find a book about Yveltal. That's all."

"That's not going to happen. Sorry, but I have to do this." Darkrai ended up manipulating the shadows around this area. From behind Night Sprout, a claw had emerged. She felt an odd presence behind her before turning around. There, she saw the claw.

"Oh!" Now that her attention was on the claw, Darkrai could strike. "So cool!" She admired the intimidating claw as Darkrai threw an orb of darkness that turned out to be Dark Void. It consumed the little vampire, freezing her for a bit. Before Night Sprout knew it, she was put to sleep, dropping to the ground, along with her camera. Darkrai used his claw to pick them both up afterwards, beginning to descend into the shadows. He felt awkward doing this, but he did what he had to do.

"!" Just then, as Darkrai started descending, everything around him turned dark. He let out a short gasp as this darkness was new to even him. In just a split second, the beautiful scenery of the lake had vanished, replaced by this black landscape and void. "Hm?! What's this?!"

"Sorry, Darkrai." Night Sprout spoke as she suddenly appeared behind Darkrai. At least, a gigantic version of her while her physical body was still in Darkria's claws, asleep. "But those nightmares won't work on me. I've seen things that are real-life nightmares...Let me show them to you. The things I've seen back at Magehold."

Night Sprout's giant apparition suddenly let out a mischievous grin as her body started moving as if it were akin to stop motion, making it unsettling. It didn't scare Darkrai, but the Pitch Black Pokemon knew that there was something odd about Night Sprout as her eyes flashed. A light purple glow emanated from her eyes before then enveloping this entire black void and soon Darkrai. Just as she said, Night Sprout had something to show him.

Canterlot. Canterlot League Stadium. Afternoon.

The competition continued. Minutes ago, the match between Little Mark and Petals had ended up with Little Mark being the victor. Now, it was time for Apple Bloom to battle Lu Petunia.

She already showed up at the arena alongside her opponent as both were ready to go. Apple Bloom had so many Grass-Types to choose from in this battle, but only one Pokemon could be used per round.

"Both trainers, send out your Pokemon."

"I choose Maractus!" Maractus was Apple Bloom's choice in this battle as she threw the Poke Ball into the air, bringing out the Cactus Pokemon.

"Maractus!"

"Go, Granbull!" Meanwhile, Lu Petunia sent out Granbull to battle.

"Granbull!"

"Come on, Apple Bloom!" Naturally, her sister was the one who cheered for her with the most energy, holding onto Sceptile in the process. Delta Riolu was also on top of Applejack's head, cheering along.

"Battle start!"

"Granbull, use Play Rough!"

"Gran!" Granbull went first, winding up its arm before then lunging at the Cactus Pokemon with open arms. There was both a playful and aggressive intent behind this attack.

"I don't think so! Spiky Shield!"

"Maractus!" Maractus retaliated. Both offensively and defensively at the same time. She put her arms together, lowering her head before then extending the spikes around her hands and head. By doing so, she ended up producing a green force field covered with spikes that protected her from the incoming Play Rough.

"G-Gran!" Not only did it block Granbull's attack, but the second the Fairy Pokemon made contact with it, the spikes had also struck it, dealing damage in the process. "Granbull!" It was the perfect offensive and defensive move as the Fairy Pokemon jumped back.

"Hehehe." Apple Bloom let out a cheeky laugh. "How's that?"

"Hmph. That's nothing. I can keep going. Outrage!"

"Outrage?!" Apple Bloom gasped.

"Granbull!" Granbull was now getting destructive. A red outline of energy emerged before then showing crimson eyes on the Fairy Pokemon. Powered up by draconic energy, Granbull was now going on a rampage. It violently rushed forward, cracking parts of the ground before then ferociously swinging its fists.

"Maractus! Seed Bomb, quick!"

"Mara!" Maractus created several glowing green seeds over her head before then sending them rolling towards the Fairy Pokemon. Upon touching Granbull, they combusted. However, thanks to the power of Outrage, Granbull pushed through, appearing out of the smoke as Seed Bomb wasn't enough to stop it.

"Gran!" Granbull roared after emerging out of the smoke, delivering a ferocious punch to Maractus' face right afterwards, launching the Cactus Pokemon back.

"M-Mara!"

"Ah! Maractus!"

"Don't let up! Go, Granbull!"

"Granbull!" Thanks to Outrage, Granbull could keep going with overwhelming strength on its side.

"Maractus! Bounce!"

"Ma? Maractus!" Maractus quickly took the skies, performing a bountiful leap. Just in time to avoid Granbull's next swing. Once she was in the air, the Cactus Pokemon came crashing down with both her arms out.

"Granbull!" But, the moment Maractus got close when descending, Granbull had suddenly grabbed her arms, halting her attack immediately.

"Ractus?!"

"Granbull!" The fury of Outrage was a dangerous once as Granbull then started spinning Maractus with the strength of a Dragon.

"M-Mara-Ra-Ra!" Maractus cried out from all of this spinning.

"That Outrage is too good on Granbull! And it hits hard too!" Fluttershy gasped.

"Come on...!" Applejack was now starting to worry so soon, taking off her hat and biting on it, fearing for her little sister. Granbull then raised Maractus, preparing to smash her to the ground.

"Maractus! Shoot some of your spikes out, quick!"

"M-Maractus!" Whilst being raised, Maractus managed to shoot out some spikes from her body, releasing them as most of them missed but one of them manage to stab Granbull's nose.

"B-Bull!" That was enough to flinch Granbull. It would flinch many either way as Granbull let go of Maractus, resulting in the Grass-Type being launched once more.

"M-Mara...!" Maractus managed to regain her balance, but as a result, she was now dizzy from all that spinning, tumbling, twirling and waddling about. "Ra...Ra..!"

"Granbull...!" But Granbull was in a similar spot. After using Outrage, it was now confused. Such was the drawback of using such a powerful attack. The Fairy Pokemon held onto its face as it and Maractus were both perplexed.

"At least they managed to end up befuddled," Twilight spoke. "But it's not looking like it's in Apple Bloom's favour right now."

"Whew...That Granbull could've finished this pretty soon..." Apple Bloom wiped some sweat off her forehead. "But...I can use this dizziness!" That's when an idea hatched in her mind. To Apple Bloom, this dizziness was a blessing for a Pokemon such as Maractus. "Maractus! Use that dizziness! Ya love to dance, don't ya?!" Combine that with Drain Punch!"

"Tus...Maractus!" Maractus understood clearly. She was one of those Pokemon who enjoyed music and dancing. In Maractus' case, maracas. Unfortunately, there were no maracas around, but she could still use this by thinking of a nice beat in her mind. She used that beat as her arms started glowing orange, gathering up Fighting-Type energy.

The Cactus Pokemon started dancing, using the dizziness to her advantage as she approached the Fairy Pokemon, moving about in an unpredictable pattern.

"Uh...okay then. Granbull! Let's use Ice Fang!"

"Bull..." Granbull shook its head, still feeling some confusion before then coating its fangs in an icy blue aura. "Gran!" The Fairy Pokemon rushed in a more straightforward pattern, but thanks to the confusion, its momentum was slightly disrupted.

But not Maractus. Whereas Granbull was bogged down by this befuddling state, Maractus, benefited from it as she had twirled to the side, evading an incoming bite from Granbull. She not only twirled to evade the Ice Fang, but she had also slapped Granbull's face with Drain Punch, connecting it in a different way than how Drain Punch usually connects. "G-GRan!"

"Mara!" And thanks to that contact, green orbs came out of Granbull and flew towards Maractus. She stole some of Granbull's energy, healing herself to bring her some of her strength back.

"Granbull!" Granbull went in again, trying to bite Maractus only for Maractus to dance around it again, hitting the Fairy Pokemon with a second Drain Punch that knocked it back. "Bull!"

"What gives?!" Lu Petunia groaned.

"That's Maractus' ability Chlorophyll. Since it's summer and the Sun's brighter than ever, she's faster than ever too. And she's even harder to follow when dizzy and dancing. Mighty nifty, ain't it?"

"That's a great mishmash!" Twilight leaned forward. "Using all of that to Maractus' advantage is genius! It just makes her harder to catch and predict!"

"T-That's my sis." Applejack closed her eyes, proudly smiling afterwards. "Knew she'd improvise on the spot."

"I can still pull this off! Granbull, Outrage again!"

"Granbull!" Granbull would try Outrage against this frantic Pokemon. The Fairy Pokemon went in once more, rampaging at full force, risking another confusion. It started swinging wildly to combat Maractus' unpredictable movements. Soon, it became a game of evasion.

Maractus would try dancing around the incoming attacks would Granbull wouldn't have a consistent way of attacking. And these two ended up bouncing off of each other. Each time Maractus would dodge an attack and land a Drain Punch, she managed to heal herself. But after being hit by Drain Punch, Granbull managed to get in close, hitting one of Maractus' with Outrage to weaken her once she healed herself.

But even after being hit, Maractus continued dancing as it was a back and forth between heavy hits and heavy healing. One dodge, one hit from Maractus, resulting in some recovery. One hit to the body from Maractus, Granbull would get another hit, knocking the Cactus Pokemon back. They seemed to be equal, but Granbull boasted the greater strength. Maractus was only hanging in there thanks to Drain Punch.

"This is pretty fun to watch! But I'm gonna end this! Ice Fang!"

"Gran!" Granbull ended Outage which resulted in it being confused once more. It went for Ice Fang, putting all of its strength into this next attack.

"Now! Spiky Shield!"

"Mara!" That was all negated as Maractus ended her dancing, putting up a spiky defensive shield that stopped Granbull right in its tracks. It ended up biting into one of the skies, resulting in immediate pain.

"G-Gran"? Granbull blinked before processing all of it. Naturally, this stung to the core. Biting onto something sharp like that, even with ice protecting its teeth was unpleasant as it moved back, crying out.

"Round it up, Maractus! Seed Bomb!"

"Maractus!" Maractus then summoned those same several seeds once more before launching them. Granbull's eyes widened before being met with verdant explosions. Maractus also managed to regain her balance, no longer feeling dizzy. If anything, dancing helped her greatly. Such was the strength of some Pokemon with certain quirks to them.

"Granbull..." Unfortunately, the same could not be said for Granbull. It had fainted, unable to benefit greatly from a befuddling state.

"Granbull is unable to battle! Maractus wins! Thus, the victor is Apple Bloom!"

"Yeahahaha!" Apple Bloom pranced about. "Felt a bit close, but I did it! I did it! We did it, Maractus!"

"Maractus!" Maractus danced over to Apple Bloom with joy in her voice.

"A rough start, but a great end." Rainbow Dash commented.

"Mm." Fluttershy nodded in response. "She pulled through greatly at the end. I guess no one can do much against a dancing Pokemon. Especially one that's also dizzy too."

"THat's the stuff!" Applejack sat up with pure excitement in her heart. "Way to go, sis!"

"Sceptile!"

"Rio!"

"Oh well. Return, Granbull. Thanks for the help." Lu Petunia sighed before returning the Fairy Pokemon. "I wonder if there's a loser bracket in this thing."

"Hey. Thanks for the battle." Apple Bloom paid her respect. "Had me worried there in the beginning. It was fun though."

"Sure. Good luck to you through it all." Lu Petunia also paid her respects, winking at Apple Bloom as they would both return to the waiting room while the remaining two matches occur. All that was left was Rumble vs Quirk and Full Beat vs Delight. And once those finish up, the first round will be over.

The other two matches had finished up quicker than the previous one. With Rumble emerging victorious with his Riolu defeating Quirk's Sandslash and Sweetie Belle winning against Delight in the end with the power of her Teddiursa using Night Slash on a Shelgon. Now that those battles were over, and with it still being early in the afternoon, the first match of this bracket was over.

"Today's battles were enjoyable from start to finish!" The announcer spoke. "But some of them, I wish were longer. Oh well. Short but sweet. But I bet now that this bracket is over, the battles will get fiercer from here on. And the day's still young too. Let's prepare for round two. But first, a lunch break. I'm hungry."

"Round 2 here we come!" Scootaloo exclaimed before looking outside the window, fixating on the balcony where Ash Ketchum stood. "And soon, I'll have my chance to finally battle you for real. Ash."

Excitement fills the air as Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom have won their first-round battles. But there's more battling ahead in the Canterlot Junior Cup as well as the scenario happening between Darkrai and Night Sprout, far from the competition and Canterlot as the journey continues.

Chapter 813 End.
