(Ganondorf fight coming up, it's going to be the beginning of this chapter.)
Link had taken a bathroom break along with a few of the mares, as he continued his story he noticed three ponies outside of the windows. One had a large smirk, one was gaping, and the last one was looking at him with an uninterested look. The pony with the large smile opened the door gaining the attention of the other six occupants of the room. "Hello Lyra, who are your friends?" Link asked with a smile as they entered. The light blue pony cocked an eyebrow at his speech, "The Great and powerful Trixie is no friend of this lowly unicorn." she said turning her head away from the mint green unicorn. Rainbow dash groaned loudly from her spot. "Trixie-" she began only to get interrupted by the caped mare, "That is the Great and Powerful Trixie foal!" she corrected the irritated mare, "Whatever. We're listening to how Link saved his world." The dual maned earth pony's jaw seemed to drop farther as Lyra smiled, "I want to hear! Oh wait Link this is my friend Bon bon." she said as she closed Bon bon's mouth and sat her down.
Link smiled, "Nice to meet you. And you too Great and Powerful Trixie." Link said nodding to both ponies, Trixie smiled and sat down, "Trixie must hear this with her own ears. Get on with it ape." Trixie said to Link who gave her a confused look, "I'm a Hylian not a monkey." Lyra rolled her eyes, "Please continue Link." Lyra said. Link nodded, "Okay let me start over."
"NO!" Rainbow dash yelled
"Why not Rainbow?" Link asked
"I already heard it and I don't want to wait." she answered
"But..." Link stopped when he heard Lyra clear her throat, "Ahem. Link it's fine you can finish, tell me the rest later." she said. Rainbow dash thanked her and sat down. Trixie rolled her eyes and listened.
-------------------------------------Ganon's castle---------------------------------------
Link stared down the dark castle. He was told that the sages would use their power to allow him to reach his destination. He approached the edge of the lava filled hole and waited.
------------------------------Chamber of the sages----------------------------
The six sages stood in their respective places, Rauru looked at them, "Now, Sages use your power to build a bridge to the fortress! We can only help Link defeat Ganondorf by lending him any aid we can." he said raising his arms followed by the other five Sages. [Lyra listened, confused but stayed quiet while Bon bon was murmuring unintelligibly besides her. She patted her friend which calmed her down.] Their magic combined built a bridge seemingly out of transparent material that shimmered like a rainbow. Link cautiously tapped it with his foot to see if it was stable. His foot didn't go through so he took stepped onto it, and slowly walked, it didn't break under his weight. "Link this is the most we can do to help. Ganondorf's castle is blocking our magic from entering, You must destroy six seals before you can reach the throne room." Rauru's voice said from seemingly nowhere.
Link nodded and ran across the rainbow bridge and into the foreboding fortress. The inside was no different from the outside, everything was black besides six colored beams shooting at a barrier that surrounds the deeper parts of the castle. Link entered a room with the shadow symbol above it, inside was several large pit and a few floating pillars. Link used the lens of truth and found no invisible pathways, or secrets, but he did spot a brazier to his right. He used a single fire arrow to light it, as soon as the fire began stone platforms appeared. He wasted no time in jumping over them, cutting a bubble in half along the way. He reached the midpoint of the room where a Like like was situated, a large worm/gelatinous being that devoured anything, he cut through it before it had a chance to eat him, the stone platforms disappeared. It had once almost eaten Link's clothes. It melted into nothing as Link looked back, he could still see the brazier, there was also a switch on a lower level to his left.
He re-lit the brazier and jumped from platform to platform until he reached the button. He stepped on it and a large chest fell from the sky on the platform he had just came from. At that exact same time the platforms disappeared again. "Seriously!? Ugh." Link complained as he brought out his bow and put it away again. He couldn't see the brazier. He sighed and looked around, his eyes landing on the chest. An idea popped into his mind, he pulled out his longshot and hooked the chest, the tip stuck and dragged Link to the platform. He laughed in triumph before opening the chest. Inside was a golden pair of gauntlets. "Link! Those are the golden gauntlets! They should increase your arm strength even more!" Navi said as Link put them on feeling strength flow through his arms. He shot the brazier and destroyed the barrier seal. Impa then appeared, "The Shadow seal is broken! Please save the princess." she said before teleporting Link back to the main room.
The beam emanating from the door dispersed and the barrier seemed to weaken only slightly. Link walked down some steps to a large granite pillar that was four times his size and three times wider, "Let me test out these gloves." Link said interlocking his fingers and cracking them before grabbing the granite pillar and effortlessly lifting it up and throwing it over his shoulder where it smashed against the ceiling. He smiled and looked at the door he had revealed. (I know you're all waiting for Ganon so I'll skip the rest.) He entered the remaining five doors and received five similar messages telling him to hurry. When the final seal was broken, the barrier in the main room had been dispelled. Link entered the new path that led up a large staircase and the last trials Link had to face.
He finally arrived in the highest room in the castle where the dark King was along with Zelda. As Link entered the room Ganondorf was playing a menacing song on an organ on the other side of the room. Link just stood there and listened before he saw the symbol of the Tri-force appear on the back of his hand, he stared at it until it disappeared, similarly Zelda's Tri-force piece appeared. After they vanished, Link felt rejuvenated. Ganon stopped playing, "The other two parts. The parts I haven't captured. Are now here. The Tri-force is resonating, it's returning to it's original form. The other two parts, I never guessed they would be hidden within you two!" he said never moving from his spot. He laughed before continuing, "And now the Tri-force is reforming here! " He said before facing Link with a swing of his arm he dramatically pushed his cape away and held up his right hand, his Tri-force appeared, "I command you to return them to me!" he shouted as a dark vortex enveloped Link.
"Link! I can't help you, because of the waves of darkness I can't get close!" She was pushed away, "I'm sorry Link!" she said before staying by the still imprisoned Zelda. Ganondorf then hovers above the ground and puts a spell over the room, pitting Link against Ganon, one on one. Ganondorf floated above Link before slamming his fist into the ground the space around Link shook, he back flipped away just as the floor fell. Ganon floated back into the air and laughed before raising his hand. Energy filled his open palm and he shot it at Link, he had seen this before with Ganon's phantom. He drew his sword and slashed the energy sending it back, Ganon smirked and backhanded the energy, returning it to Link. They continued hitting the energy back and forth until Ganondorf swung his arm too early getting hit by his own attack. "Hit him with a light arrow while he's weak Link!" Zelda said from her imprisonment behind the spell. Link nodded and drew his bow, the arrow glowing with yellow energy. He released it hitting the evil King in the chest, energy shot throughout his body making him fall to the ground. Link jumped the gap Ganon created and hacked away at the downed sorcerer.
"That's enough of you!" Ganon yelled before using his magic to push Link away. He then floated back into the air and raised both hands to gather more power, "Let's see how you handle this." He said as a large ball of energy entered his hands and he sent out a volley of blasts. Link did a quick spin attack when they surrounded him, they were returned to their owner, Link shot another arrow, hitting the same spot before Link jumped the gap again to attack Ganondorf while he was recuperating. With one final swing that cut across his shoulder. He recoiled at the pain and gripped his shoulder, his eyes bloodshot. "The Great Evil King Gannondorf beaten by this kid!?" he said incredulously as he coughed up a certain substance. "Link!" He yelled before holding up both his arms and using the last of his energy to destroy the room they were in. Link looked around as Ganon collapsed on the floor. Navi returned to Link along with the imprisoned princess. "Link! You beat him!" she said as Zelda's prison disappeared. She looked at the fallen King.
"Ganondorf. Pitiful man." she began, "Without a strong, righteous mind he could not control the power of the gods... And..." She trailed off not needing to say more. The castle began to shake, "Link! This tower is going to collapse soon! With his last breath he's trying to crush us underneath the ruins of his castle, we need to get out now!" Zelda said Link nodded, "I'll lead the way." Link said before running ahead. They ran down the ramp that led to the rainbow bridge, only to be stopped by a gate. Even though she was wearing a dress, Zelda kept up with Link and used her own magic to raise the gate. Link smiled at her and she returned it as they continued on with Zelda opening every gate to help them escape. They stopped when a flame wall trapped Zelda and two Stalfos rose from the ground, [Twilight explained what every creature that Link said was to the new three mares.]
"You will not leave Ganon's castle alive!" one said before they attacked, "I have a promise to keep, I'm not going to let you get in the way of that!" Link yelled before cutting through both of them with the Master sword in one swing cutting them both in half. The flames dissipated and they continued on with a nod, assuring they were both unscathed. They continued on with Link getting hit by some falling, flaming, debris startling Zelda into stopping to ask if he was okay. He would always grunt, "I'm fine, let's go." When they reached the exit and were about to cross the rainbow bridge when the castle finally crumbled into the ground. They looked over the ruins of Ganon's castle, "It's over, It's finally over." Zelda said, Link agreed with her and they stared at each other before turning to Navi as she spoke, "Link. I'm sorry I couldn't help you in the fight." she said. Link shook his head, "It's fine Navi, Don't worry about-" he was cut off as a loud noise sounded from the rubble. Link pushed Zelda back and ran into the rubble to investigate.
As soon as Link was far from Zelda a flame barrier separated them. "Link!" she cried as Ganondorf flew out of the rubble, eyes glowing with power. He raised his hand to reveal the Tri-force before he surged power through himself, and was morphed into a pig beast that wielded two golden swords, he swung them and knocked Link's sword out of his hand as he tried to defend himself. The blade of evil's bane landed near Zelda on the other side of the barrier. Navi floated over to Link, "There's no way he can keep me out of the battle, this time we fight together!" Navi said making link smirk. He equipped his bow and shot Ganon with an arrow, it bounced off his skin. Gannon laughed, his laugh was now a low roar. An idea came to Link, he raised his bow and shot a light arrow at Ganon's head, he reared back. Link ran around him as Navi investigated him, "Hey! Link look at his tail, it's differently colored." Navi commented.
Link aimed and shot a single arrow at it, the arrow went through. Ganon roared and turned to Link swinging his blades to cut Link in half. Link dove back, Ganon roared again and crossed his swords in front of his face to stop Link's arrows. Link ran up to Ganon and dove under a swipe from his over sized sword. He pulled his bow as he rolled onto his feet and shot an arrow at his tail again. He roared and swung behind himself, surprising Link as he flew into a wall that fell from the power of the hit. He stood up and dove between Ganon's legs as he swung both blades in a cross cut, Link drew his bow and shot the tail with another Light arrow. He roared one last time before falling to his knees. "Link! The Master sword is here, hurry!" Zelda said as the flame barrier fell. Link ran to the sword and drew it out of the ground. He then ran back to the fallen beast and cut Ganon's tail, cutting the tip off. Ganon rose and turned swinging, Link rolled under his legs and stabbed the tail again. Link dove to the side as the sword swung past again, Link shot a light arrow into Ganon's exposed face stunning him again as he ran around him and continued to slice his tail to ribbons.
Link had gotten Ganon to fall to his knees again, a stream of light shone onto the beast, Link turned to Zelda, "I'm using my power to hold the Evil King. You must deliver the final blow!" She said before stopping her power, after having put enough energy into his bindings. Link saw the Sword glow with power, he walked up to Ganon and swung his blade three times before impaling it into Ganon's forehead, "This is for Volvagia!" Link said before he pulled the sword out and Ganon rose and roared in pain. "Six Sages. Now!" Zelda yelled as Ganon continued his rampage. She rose her arms and used the last of her magic to aid the Sages. "Ancient creators of Hyrule... Open the gate, and send this evil incarnation of darkness to the Evil realm... The realm of his own creation!" The Sages then used their power to open the door to the once Sacred realm that was tainted by Ganondorf's evil. Ganondorf in turn was sealed into the void of darkness his corrupted heart had created. "You... Curse you Zelda! Curse you Sages!" Ganondorf's voice rang throughout Hyrule. "Curse you Link! One day. When this seal is broken. I will kill your descendants! As long as I have the Tri-force of Power." He said with his final breath.
The once dark sky returned to it's original blue color. Link, Zelda, and Navi watched as plants began to grow around them. Link hugged Zelda, "We did it!" He then let go and blushed, "Sorry." she giggled and accepted his apology, "We will now live in peace... for a time." She began, "All the tragedy that befell Hyrule was my doing." She continued, holding a hand to her chest, "I was young and couldn't comprehend trying to control the Sacred realm. I dragged you into it too. Now it is time for me to make up for my mistakes." [Rarity leaned in as Link's story finally started getting romantic He's going to kiss her, he has to! she thought as he continued.] "You must lay the Master sword to rest and close the Door of Time. But by doing this the road between times will close." She held out her hand, "Link, hand me the ocarina." Link retrieved the Ocarina and left it in her hand. She put her other hand on top of his. She sadly stared at the Ocarina, "As a Sage I can return you to your original age, to live your life as you should have, the world is safe, go home now and regain your lost time!" she said before playing her own Lullaby and returned Link back seven years, leaving him with a single, "Good-bye."
Link appeared in the Temple of Time with the Master sword in it's pedestal. Link looked at himself as the blue light that held his spirit in the Sacred realm returned to the Master sword. Navi then floated above Link and left through a window. Link watched her leave before he left the temple, the doors of time closing behind him until the Master Sword was needed again. Link ran past the guards around the castle and met up with Zelda once more. She was looking through the window where they had seen Ganondorf. He approached, "Zelda." he said, making her turn around as Link told her that Navi had left for no reason after he gave her back her Ocarina. She looked at it, "Link you keep it. I know with you it'll be safe." she gave him a note soon after and waved him goodbye as he left to begin his next quest, stopping to acquire Epona and promising to keep her safe.

Rarity huffed and pouted, "You had the most romantic moment and you didn't kiss her?" she complained to Link as he blushed. Rainbow dash jumped, "That was so awesome! Did you really stab Ganon in the face?" she asked Link, he nodded and she repeated her first statement, "So awesome!" Link rubbed the back of his head, "He won't bring his evil anywhere anymore." Link said confidently. "If this Evil King had such powerful magic why did you kill him?" Trixie asked Link "He used his dark magic to take over Hyrule, and he was trying to become the King of the entire world if I didn't stop him." Link answered. "Show Trixie your magic." she then said, "Unless you don't have magic." she challenged with a smirk. Link shook his head, "I'd rather not." he said before turning to Twilight, "Can you open the portal to Hyrule now?" he asked her.
"Oh I forgot about that! I'll open it right away." she said walking over to a circle drawn on the floor. Her horn began to glow, Lyra looked at Link sadly, "You're leaving? So soon? I thought we were going to play music together." she said with tears in her eyes. He looked at Lyra, "I'm sorry, but I still have a friend to find and the earlier I return the faster I can find her." Link said. Lyra turned away and Bon bon tried to comfort her friend. "I'm sorry Lyra. We can play now if-" Link was cut off as Twilight's spell began to form a portal. The portal expanded into a large rectangular shape, Link stared through it to Hyrule field. He smiled and approached it, "Trixie must see your magic, do not walk away from Trixie!" the caped mare shouted as Link walked through the portal. Lyra waved Link goodbye while Trixie's horn started glowing. Link heard the familiar scuff of his boots on the grass.
"Time to continue." Link said before he felt another familiar sensation, magic enveloping him. "Huh!?" he shouted as he was pulled back through the portal, hearing a single voice as the magic dragged him back, "Trixie you're making the portal unstable! Stop your magic!" It was Twilight. Link was dragged back through the portal as it imploded sending out a large magical energy wave sending all ponies in the room into the walls knocking them unconscious besides Link. He groaned and stood up, having been hurt far worse before, he rubbed his sore body before looking around. He walked over to the couch and sat down, his ears were ringing. The ringing sounded like beeping in his ears: beep, beep... beep, beep... beep, beep... and so on.
Four minutes later both princesses arrived and entered the room, both of their jaws dropped as they saw the scorched circle on the floor and the ponies scattered around the room. Their eyes moved from one body to the next before landing on the barely conscious Link, "What hast thou done!?" Luna shouted at him, he looked at them his vision was blurring. He tried to say he didn't do anything but it came out, "Pie, Cucco, Twilixie, magic." they looked at him as he blacked out. They exchanged worried glances and used their magic to check everypony's vitals. They were fine just sleeping at the moment, Celestia and Luna shared a thankful sigh. They heard a soft thud and turned to see Link lying on the floor snoring softly near Pinkie Pie. He rolled over and draped an arm around her, both princesses giggled at the sight before scanning the scorched circle, "Twilight successfully opened a portal to Link's world!" Celestia smiled proudly at her students major achievement before they found Trixie's magic and guessed that it mixed with Twilight's and disrupted the frail portal.
Celestia was still smiling as she and her sister magically put blankets on every pony in the room. "Tia. Dost thou think Link will be angry with the one called Trixie?" Luna asked her older sister. Celestia turned on Link and shook her head, "Yes but he won't harm anypony. I'm sure of this. He isn't one to hold a grudge..." she frowned with Luna, "Unless you hurt one of his friends." Celestia said, Luna nodded, "He would make a very good guard, and is a very good friend." she said agreeing with Celestia. "Candy." Link muttered sleepily as he stuck his nose in Pinkie's mane. The princesses shared another laugh before departing and letting their citizens sleep.
--------------------------Meanwhile----------------------------
A mix matched statue in the Canterlot garden grew a single hairline crack. A laugh echoed through Link's mind from the creature wearing the cursed mask before everything changed, putting Link in Castle market, with a pouch full of rupees and a candy counter with a single price tag: Everything one rupee each. He then proceeded to purchase everything the stall had to offer.
--------------------------Celestia's bedroom--------------------------
The princesses sat down and used their magic to contact Hyrule's Princess. She appeared as a ghostly visage again, "Hello Princesses." Zelda greeted with a smile. "Hello Zelda." Luna and Celestia answered in unison. "Did you find the magical disturbance?" Zelda asked them, they nodded, "We were about to ask thou the same question." Luna said. Zelda told them about the strange scorch mark near the center of Hyrule field and Celestia told her about the portal in Twilight's library. Zelda gasped, "Are they all right?" she asked Celestia nodded, "They are all safe and unhurt." Zelda sighed in relief, "That's good to hear. Not a single person or pony was hurt." she smiled. The alicorns returned her smile, Celestia yawned, "I must apologize Zelda, but I need to sleep so I can raise the sun in the morning." Zelda nodded, "I understand, I need to get some sleep as well. Oh can you give this letter to Link tomorrow?" Zelda asked them holding out a letter with a pink heart seal. Luna's horn glowed as she tried to take the letter but wasn't able to grab it. She started to get frustrated as Zelda realized the letter couldn't reach Link.
"Maybe I could send it to you two." Zelda said, holding the letter out, the letter began to glow before it disappeared in a yellow globe. The same yellow globe appeared before Celestia and Luna, the globe dissolved and the letter fell to the floor. Zelda began panting, "That was a lot harder than I thought it would be." She whispered to herself as Celestia gave the young princess a concerned look, "Are you okay Zelda?" she asked. Zelda smiled reassuringly, "I'm fine, that just tired me out is all. I'll be fine after a good rest." the princesses nodded and Zelda faded away. "Goodnight Luna." Celestia said to the dark blue alicorn. "Sleep well sister." Luna replied and left Celestia to enter her own chambers. She had taken the letter. When Luna closed the doors she raised the letter and used her magic to open it without messing with the seal. She opened it to reveal... an unreadable language. She tried to find even a single letter she could read but gave up and resealed the letter before putting it on her nightstand and leaving to tend to her nightly duties.
