Austin opened his door as a new day awaited for him, until he stepped on something on and made a crunching sound under his foot. He looked down and noticed a piece of paper lying on the floor. He picked it up and noticed it was an envelope with his name written on it. He notice another name written underneath his name.  

 Professor Oak? Why does that name sound familiar?  Austin thought to himself. 

He opened the envelope and saw a piece of paper. He slowly took out the paper out of the envelope and unfolded the paper. 

 Dear Austin, 

You may not remember me, but I was a friend of your parents. I’ve heard of your parents unfortunate passing, I’m very sorry about your loss. Now that you are ten years old, I thought to give you an opportunity. An opportunity to catch them all. That’s right, I’m giving you an opportunity to become a Pokémon trainer. If you agree to become a Pokémon trainer, come by to my lab in the Kanto region. You can also bring along some friends if you wish. Can’t wait to hear from you soon.

Your old friend, 
Professor Oak. 

“Hmm, Pokemon trainer? Kanto region?” Austin said confusedly. “Hey Wingdings, are you awake?” 

 “Yes, I’m awake,”  Wingdings said as he manifested out of Austin’s body.  “What do you need?”  

“Do you know anyone or any pony named Professor Oak?” 

 “Ah yes, I know Professor Oak. You used to go to his lab to play with the Pokémon with your… parents.” 

“Oh… I think I’m remembering now. But this was a while back, how do you know all that when I was at a young age?” 

 “Well, since I am bound to your body, I see all your memories.”  

“That makes sense.” 

 “why do you ask?” 

“Well, I got this letter from him, though I’m not sure how he got it here, and since he knows that I’m ten, he wanted to know if I wanted to be a Pokémon trainer.” 

 “A Pokémon trainer you say? Why don’t you try it, we haven’t gone on an adventure in a while.” 

“Are you sure? What would momma Celestia and momma Luna think about it?” 

 “I’m sure they will allow it. As long as I’m here, they should allow you to go.”  

“Well… I guess it’s worth a try.” 

 “Alright, let’s see if Celestia and Luna would agree on it.” 

“Okay Wingdings. I have a feeling they might be in the throne room.” 

 “Well, lets search their then.” 

“Okay.”

Austin and Wingdings left their bedroom and went into a hallway. They made it to the throne room doors and opened them. They went inside the throne room and saw Celestia and Luna sitting on their thrones, reading scrolls. Celestia looked down at her scroll and noticed Austin and Wingdings were standing near their thrones. 

“Good morning Austin, good morning Wingdings. Did you two sleep well?” Celestia asked the two. 

“Yeah, I had a good sleep.” Austin replied. 

 “I too slept good, thank you for asking.”  Wingdings said to Celestia. 

“I’m glad you had a good sleep. Is their something you need?” Celestia asked.

“I’ve found a letter from a person that used to be friends with my… parents, saying that since I’m ten years old, he offered me to be a Pokémon trainer.” Austin explained. 

“A Pokemon trainer? What is that?” 

“I’m… not sure exactly. Wingdings, do you really know what they are?” 

 “Well I know a little bit of it during your memories. Your parents and the person who sent the letter, Professor Oak, were talking about Austin being a Pokemon trainer when he gets to ten, explaining that you can becomes friends with creatures called Pokémon. You can train them to be stronger, fight other trainers Pokémon, and do other things, but that’s the only stuff I know at the moment.”   

“Hmm, that sounds pretty interesting and fun,” Celestia said. “So you came here to ask for permission to become a Pokémon trainer?” 

“Yeah, we wanted to ask if we can. So… can we?” Austin asked Celestia. 

“Well if that’s what you would like to do, go ahead, we won’t stop you.” 

“Yeah, as long as you are going to have fun, we won’t say otherwise.” Luna said to Austin. 

“Well, Wingdings, do you want to?” Austin asked Wingdings.

 “It does sound pretty fun, plus I can study these Pokémon to understand them better.” 

“We can also bring along friends, as it says on this letter.” Austin said as he lifted to Celestia. 

Celestia used her magic to lift the letter to her and Luna. They began to read the letter for a minute and looked back at Austin. 

“Well we would love to go… but we have responsibilities to keep Canterlot under control with demands and meetings, discussing many concerning topics in different parts of Equestria. I’m very sorry Austin.” Celestia said sadly. 

“I understand, I know you two are very busy with you work, maybe I can find others that might want to come.” Austin said to Celestia. 

“May I suggest some ponies to you. What about the Young Six that you made friends with at Twilight’s school?” 

“Oh yeah! Maybe they want to go. I can go asked them.” 

“We will wait here for you to return dear.” 

 “Do you want to take a shortcut?”  Wingdings asked Austin. 

“It would be faster, yeah let’s go that.” Austin said to Wingdings.

 “Very well then, we will be back with some result of whether they come or not.” 

“We will be here for when you return.” 

Austin and Wingdings nodded and started to leave. As they went passed the throne room, they were surrounded by shadow and disappeared. 

They reappeared at Twilights school as the Young Six were leaving the school. Austin and Wingdings walked over to them and waved at them, which they waved back.

“Hey Austin, hey Wingdings, what’s up?” Sandbar said to Austin. 

“Hey guys, I have a question to ask you.” Austin said to the Young Six. 

“Sure, what it is?” Silverstream said. 

“How would you guys like to become… Pokémon trainers?” 

“Pokemon trainers? What’s that?” 

“It’s where we pick creatures called Pokémon, we train them to be stronger, and fight other Pokémon trainers Pokémon. It will be like an adventure for us.” 

“An adventure? We haven’t gone on one in a while now,” Sandbar said to the others. “What do you guys think?” 

“Meh, why not, this summer is going to be boring anyways, so might as well.” Gallus said. 

“Uhh… s-sure, I would like to go too.” Ocellus said shyly. 

“Count me in .” Sandbar said. 

“I would love to!” Silverstream said excitedly.

“Sure, it might be fun.” Smolder said.

“I would also like to go as well.” Yona said. 

 “Great, I suggests packing some things for the adventure, and should we meet back here or to Celestia’s castle?”  Wingdings said to the group. 

“We can meet back here, if you want to.” Sandbar said to Wingdings.

 “Very well then. We will be here in a hour, that should you give you all plenty of time to get some stuff packed if you want.” 

“Okay.” The Young Six said to Wingdings. 

“Okay, see you guys soon.” Austin said to the Young Six.

“See you later.” 

Just then Austin and Wingdings was surrounded by shadow again and disappeared into thin air. Austin and Wingdings reappeared back to the throne room, where Celestia and Luna waited patiently for them. 

“You we’re gone for a little while, I assume they agreed?” Celestia asked the two. 

 “Indeed, we will be meeting them back in an hour.”  Wingdings said to Celestia. 

“Oh, okay. How long do you think your adventure will be?” 

 “Well, it’s an adventure, so we don’t really know. It could take months.” 

“I… see, well… we will still be here until you arrive back here after your adventure.” 

 “Well, we won’t be leaving in an hour, so you won’t have to be so worried.” 

“I’m not worried, I’m happy that you two are going on a adventure.” 

 “I can see the worry in your eyes. Not to worry, I will be supervising them, so I’ll make sure they won’t get themselves in trouble.” 

“I know you will, I won’t be worried.” 

 “Very well then, Austin, we don’t really have much time left. Pack some stuff you think will be essential like clothes and other stuff.”  Wingdings said to Austin. 

“Okay Wingdings, I’ll be back soon.” Austin said as he ran off back to his room. 

Austin went into his bedroom and saw a pack back that he used for going to elementary school in Ponyville since he was not old enough to be in Twilight’s school yet. Austin started to pack some stuff. He packed the body armour that Tempest made for him, the red cape that Sweetie Belle, a cowboy hat that Applejack gave, the whole series of Daring Do that Twilight gave to him and the hat that Rarity gave to him as well. He also packed more clothing for his adventure. He closed up his pack back and put it on his back. He went over to the door, opened the door and left his room. He went to the hallway and made it back to the throne room. He opened the door and saw that Wingdings has some camping supplies. Celestia and Luna were waiting with Wingdings 

“What’s with the camping gear?” Austin asked Wingdings. 

 “I heard that Pokémon adventures are outdoors and during the night we will need somewhere to sleep. So Celestia gave us some camping gear for us.”  Wingdings explained to Austin. 

“Oh, okay.” 

 “Well, you ready to go?” 

“Wait a moment,” Austin said as he walked over to Celestia and Luna. “Are you sure you will be fine for a while.” Austin said to the two. 

“Of course we will dear, we will miss you dearly.” Celestial said to Austin softly

“Yes, we will miss you very much.” Luna said to Austin. 

“But just in case you want to keep in touch with us,” Celestia used her horn and a summoned some papers and quills. “These quills have a spell that when you are done writing, it will magically teleport to me and I’ll be able to write you with these quills as well. So you can write to me at anytime and I’ll be able to write to you back.”

Celestia levitated the quills and papers to Austin. Austin took the quills and papers and placed them in his bag. 

“Thank you mom, I’ll be sure to use these when I get there.” 

“And I will wait for your messages.” 

Austin went over to the two and hugged both of them, which they returned with their wings. After 30 seconds, they released the hug. Celestia and Luna gave Austin a kiss on both of his cheeks. 

“Have fun out their.” Celestia said to Austin. 

“I will, I’ll see you soon.” Austin said to the two. 

“Love you, stay safe you two.” The princesses said. 

 “We Will. See you soon princesses.”  Wingdings said to the princesses before they disappeared. 

Luna looked at Celestia, looking worried. 

“Don’t worry Tia, they will have fun out their.” Luna comforted Celestia.

“I know, I know. I just wish that we could go. We haven’t done anything in a long, long time, and these meetings are getting… stressful.” Celestia sighed. 

“Well maybe one day, we will be able to do something ourselves for once.” 

“I hope your right sister.” 



 

Austin and Wingdings reappeared back to Twilights school, where they saw the Young Six, with small backpacks. 

 “So, is everyone ready?”  Wingdings said to the Young Six. 

The Young Six nodded. 

 “Very well, everyone gather around now.”   

The Young Six gathered around Austin and Wingdings. 

“So, where are we going?” Sandbar asked Wingdings. 

 “We are going to somewhere you guys haven’t gone to before.”  Wingdings said to the group.

“So where are we going?” Ocellus asked curiously.

 “We are going to a new world, a world where we’ve mentioned before and you had a text book used in your school.” 

“You mean… Earth?” Silverstream asked. 

 “That’s correct Silverstream, we will be going to Earth. Not only that, but we are going to a region, the Kanto region. The place where our adventure will begin.” 

“But… how are we going to get their?” Smolder asked. 

 “We will use my teleportation to go to earth. Since I was born on Earth and ended up staying here in Equestira, I can teleport from place to place.”  

“And how do you use this teleportation?” Gallus asked. 

 “I will use my shadow magic to teleport us their.” 

“Ah I see.” 

 “Yeah, so if everyone is ready, we will be leaving.”  

“Yeah, I think we’re ready.” Sandbar said.”

 “Very well. Let’s get going. Be sure to ready yourselves.” 

Everyone stood together as Wingdings prepared to teleport. Wingdings lifted up his arms and a dark circle surrounded them. Wingdings then placed this hands on the floor and the shadow circle engulfed the group. 





It was a cloudy day, many birds flying in the sky, purple rats fighting over some leftover food, all seems normal in Kanto… until the circle of darkness suddenly appeared, scaring many animals away from the area. What came from the dark circle was Austin, Wingdings, and the Young Six. The dark circle disappeared and The group was on a dirt road. Austin looked at the scenery, smelling the fresh air and exhaling. He looked to the Young Six, but they all looked dazed from the teleportation. After a minute, they were feeling fine. 

“Ugh, my head.” Smolder said as she held her head. 

 “Apologies everyone. I’m use to only Austin and I teleporting, I didn’t know how to handle more people.”  Wingdings said in a embarrassed tone.

“It’s fine Wings, we should be fine now.” Sandbar said to Wingdings. 

 “I’m glad. Now that everyone feels fine, Professor Oak gave us a description of what his laboratory looks like.”  

“So this Professor Oak will give us these so called Pokémon?” Silverstream asked Wingdings. 

 “Precisely. Since I haven’t been in any of this, it will be an experience for all of us,”  Wingdings said as he looked at the letter.  “It says here that we need to find a set of stairs going up to a building with a windmill.” 

Everyone looked around the area, but they saw nothing, but they only saw trees and open fields. Ocellus, however, turned around and saw the set of stairs leading to the building. 

“I-I’ve found it guys.” Ocellus said to the group. 

They looked at Ocellus and saw the building. Wingdings gave Ocellus a pat on the head. 

 “Nice work Ocellus. Now, let’s head inside.”  

They approached the stairs, seeing a gate that is opened. The group went up the stairs and made their way to the entrance of the laboratory. As they stepped close to the doors, they automatically opened.

“Woah.” The Young Six said in astonishment. 

The group went inside the laboratory and stood near the entrance. They saw a hallways filled with doors. 

 “Hello? Professor, Austin and I are here, we brought some friends as well.”  Wingdings called out to Professor Oak. 

Just then, a door opened up and saw a male human wearing a white coat. His hair was light brown and his eyes were brown. As they saw the group, he didn’t recognize them until he saw Austin’s face and started to approached them. 

“Welcome everyone! At first I didn’t recognize all of you, until I saw young Austin here,” Professor Oak said as he approached Austin. “My, you’ve grown so much over the years. I barely recognized you, until I saw that sparkle in your eyes I saw nine years ago.” 

“Heh, I didn’t know who you were at first… until Wingdings made me remember that I played with the Pokémon at your lab.” Austin said to Professor Oak, as he gestured to Wingdings.

Professor Oak looked at Wingdings and lifted up his hand for a shake. Wingdings lifted his hand and they shook. 

“It’s nice to meet you… uh, what’s your name again?” Professor Oak asked Wingdings as they stopped shaking each other’s hands.

 “I’m Wingdings, brother of Austin, as well as a mentor to him. You don’t know me since I was with Austin here for five years now.”  Wingdings said to Professor Oak.

“Ah yes, you must be Gasters experiment. He came by my place a year ago and told me about you and how you help save Austin during some troubling times. He told me that he’s very proud of you.” 

 “Really? Why, thank you professor, when I get the chance to meet Gaster, I’ll have to thank him.” 

Professor Oak nodded and noticed the Young Six. 

“Are these new Pokémon you’ve caught already? They look rare.” 

“Hey, we’re not Pokémon!” Gallus yelled at Professor Oak. 

Professor Oak jumped a bit. 

“They can talk?!” Professor Oak said in shock. 

 “These are Austin’s friends. They are not from here, they live in a place where their is no humans and ponies and other creatures live. Only one humans lives their, which is Austin here.” 

“I see. Sorry about that, I thought you were all Pokémon. May I get your names please?” Professor Oak said to the Young Six. 

“Names Gallus.” Gallus introduced. 

“My n-names Ocellus.” Ocellus said shyly. 

“My name is Sandbar.” Sandbar introduced. 

“I’m Silverstream!” Silverstream said excitedly. 

“Names Smolder.” Smolder introduced.

“And my name is Yona.” Yona introduced. 

“Well, it’s nice to meet you all. Now, you ready to get your first Pokémon everyone?” 

“We sure are!” Everyone said to Professor Oak. 

“Excellent, follow me please.” 

Professor Oak took the lead by going to the hallway and entered the door in the far hall. They went inside and the group saw several machine, a couch inside the room and a desk.

“Up these stairs now.” Professor Oak said to the group. 

They went up the stairs near a machine with a screen. Up the stairs have three large window that can see the view. Professor Oak opened up a door on the balcony and went up more stairs. They soon went into another room with more machines and a table with balls with red on the top and white on the bottom. 

“These are called poke balls, these devices will make you able to capture Pokémon for your party. You can only have six Pokémon in your party to use, but if you have extra Pokémon, you can transfer them to me and I’ll keep them safe.” Professor Oak said as the table dome opened up and he took one of the pokeballs. 

Professor Oak opened the pokeball and a ball of white light glowed brightly. The white light slowly started to change appearance to a four legged green amphibian like creature with a big green bulb. 

“Bulbasaur!” The creature said. 

“This creature is called Bulbasaur. A grass/ poison type Pokémon. Their is two more starter Pokémon that I will show you, but only three of you will be getting a starter. I will show you the other two now.” Professor Oak said as he took the other two poke balls. 

He threw the poke balls and the white light flashed and the two appeared as a bipedal lizard like creature with a flame on its tail and a bipedal turtle like creature with a shell on its back. 

“Charmander!” The lizard creature said. 

“Squirtle.” The turtle creature said. 

“Here you all go, you will be needing this,” Professor Oak handed them a red device. “This here is a Pokédex, it will give you information on the Pokemon you encounter. The Pokémon you encounter will be registered in your Pokédex. Go on, give it a try.” 

Austin opened up the Pokédex and pointed it at the Bulbasaur. 

 Bulbasaur, the Seed Pokemon. A grass type.

There is a plant seed on its back right from the day this Pokémon is born. The seed slowly grows larger. the device said in a male voice.

“Woah, this is pretty cool.” 

Austin looked at the Charmander and the voice began to talk. 

 Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. A fire type.

It has a preference for hot things. When it rains, steam is said to spout from the tip of its tail. 

Austin finally went over to the Squirtle. 

 Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokémon. A water type.

When it retracts its long neck into its shell, it squirts out water with vigorous force. 

“Now… who will get their starters first.”
