We start this chapter a week later. And during the week Dragon Lord Torch and his mate Sapphire found out buy a dragon scout that the reason that Spikeus's mom haven't came to claim him because she and her mate Firestone have been slain by dragon slayers ponies who were born to be trained to kill dragons. And after hearing that Spikeus's parents were killed by dragon slayers Torch and Sapphire decided that they would raise Spikeus like he was one of their own.
And wanting to take care of Spikeus as their own child Torch and Sapphire wet Ember know that she had a new baby brother. And hearing that she had a new brother Ember was excited and made a vow to herself that she would be the best and caring big sister to her brother and if anyone dare harm him she would take care of them. And the oath that Ember made was not that hard for herself to keep because when Spikeus was growing up Amber had to defense him from many dragons like one day Spikeus saw some teen dragons about to smash a phoenix egg. When the dragon teens were about to smash the phoenix egg Spikeus stole the egg from the teen dragons to make sure they wouldn't smash it.
And after Spikeus stole the phoenix egg a familiar red and orange dragon named Garble said to Spikeus" why you're printing this why would a dragon like yourself steal from your own kind? Then Spikeus said to the teen dragons" because what you're doing to this creature is bad every creature should have a chance at life". When Spikeus said that the three teen dragons laughed at him and called him weak for thinking that a simple Phoenix chicks who was abandoned by its parents should should have a chance at life. Then Garble and his cronies were about to try to steal back the phoenix egg until his sister Ember came down from the sky and stop them from grabbing the phoenix egg and hurting Spikeus in the process.
And after Ember saved Spikeus from Garble and his cronies Ember said to Spikeus" little brother I just got to say if father found out you did that he would say son that was foolish thing for you to to do to put yourself in getting your for a simple phoenix egg". Then Spikeus said to to his sister" but Amber if mom found out she was told Dad but honey just like you and me it was a kind and noble jester to do and she would probably convince father not you go hard on me". And knowing that their mother could be conservative their father to not be so harsh towards their children. Then Spikeus started to walk home with the phoenix a within his claws. Then Ember saw her brother starting to walk home with the phoenix egg in his claws Ember said to him" little brother why walking home with the Phoenix egg in your claws?
Then Spikeus said to his sister" because sister I'm going to ask mother and father if I could keep it knowing father he would probably say no but I know mother has her ways to make him say yes". And after seeing her brother's cleverness Ember knew that he was right and that their mother new some tricks to make their father say yes to anything she would ask for. When Spikeus and Ember reached home torch and Sapphire saw that their children were home but Spikeus was carrying an phoenix egg in his claws. And seen the Phoenix egg in in his son's claws torch as his son why he had a phoenix egg. And hearing his father's question Spikeus said to his father that he had saved it from being smashed by Garble and his cronies. And hearing that he got into another tussle with Garble and his cronies Torch said to his son" Spikeus you and that Garble have been rivals ever since you were hatched for some reason I don't know why he thinks he has something to prove to you". Then Sapphire said to Torch" that simple my beloved our son is the bravest and kindest Dragon here besides Ember and besides with their kindness spike a kiss and Amber would make a loving and wonderful dragon lord for the future of our kind and besides he gets his his bravery he from his father".
And hearing that towards ego start to rise up. And seeing that his father's ego was rising up Spikeus decided to ask his parents if he could keep the Phoenix egg. And like he said Spikeus's father said no to the thought of having a Phoenix egg in their home but to Spikeus's luck Sapphire convinced ports that having a phoenix egg in their home would teach Spikeus responsibility for when or if he became the dragon lord. And hearing that it could be a good way for Spikeus to learn responsibility for when or if he became the dragon lord torches gave into his life request and said yes to Spikeus that he could keep the phoenix egg. And hearing that he could keep the Phoenix egg Spikeus said thank you to his mother and father for letting him keep the phoenix egg. And seeing that their son was happy that he could keep the phoenix egg Sapphire said to her son" so my little Firestone did you think of a name for your little friend?
Then Spikeus said to his mother" yes mother I did come up with a name I think I'll call him Peewee named after the dragon Lord's great general peewee". And after giving the phoenix the name I known to Spikeus Peewee would become his most trusted and loyal companion. Also I want to tell you before Spikeus found the phoenix egg Torch and Sapphire found out that raising Spikeus was more trouble than they had thought. When I I said that turns out that torch and Sapphire found out that Spikeus was a adventurous baby dragon who most likely found a way to get himself in trouble like one time when Garble was bullying Amber for her yams Spike bit him right on his heel or when one time when Sapphire was watching some hatchlings a teenage roc tried to eat some of the hatchlings.
Also on that day when the roc try to eat the hatchling Sapphire found out that her son was unusually strong for a a baby dragon his age. And you should have seen the look on torches face when he came home with a roc for dinner in his claws but when he got there he saw that his wife was already cooking a roc for dinner that Spikeus had fought against. When torch saw the roc that Sapphire was cooking towards said to Sapphire" Sapphire my love where did you get that roc from last time I remember last time we had roc was three weeks ago". And hearing her husband's question Sapphire told torch about Spikeus little escapade with the teenage roc for he could defend the hatchlings. And hearing that their son took down a teenage roc to defend the hatchlings torch felt pride to his sign for defending the hatchlings. Then Torch picked up Spikeus and said with pride to him" you did well my little roc killer". And seeing the proudness that torch was showing to their son Sapphire said to Torch" my beloved I'm glad that you're showing that you are proud of our son I thought you would be embarrassed knowing that your son beat you on bringing dinner for the family". And after Sapphire said that Torch Torch realize that Sapphire was right. And Torch realize that Sapphire was right Torch start to turn red with embarrassment knowing that his own son had beat him bring dinner for the family. And not whining people to see his embarrassment towards saw Amber coming back from school. And seen Ember coming back from school towards went up to his daughter to change the subject. And unfortunate for torch Amber saw that her mother was cooking the teenage roc.
And after seeing her mother cooking the teenage roc Ember asked her parents who killed the roc. Then Sapphire told Ember that Spikeus was the one who killed the teenage roc. And after sapphire told Amber that Spikeus was the one who killed the teenage roc torch starting to get more embarrassed when his daughter found out that her own brother had brought them dinner before he did. Then Sapphire and Ember noticed the embarrassment that Torch was showing.
And after seeing the embarrassment that torch was showing on his face Sapphire and Amber started laughing at Torch's embarrassment. And luckily for torch Spikeus went over to his father to hug his foot. Then towards felt that something was hugging his foot. And feeling that something was touching his foot towards look down and saw Spikeus touching his foot. And knowing that Spikeus was hugging his foot the hug started to make Torch feel better. And with torch feeling a little bit better torch picked up his son then said to him" well my son at least I have you and I know that you won't make fun of me.
And you Torch's surprise Spikeus told torch his first words. And the first words that Spikeus said to Torch was strong daddy. And hearing that his first words were strong Daddy torch felt pride knowing that his strength and himself was his first words. And after hearing that himself and his strength was the first word torch told Amber and Sapphire that Spikeus had said his first words. And hearing that Spikeus said his first words Sapphire and Ember just over knowing that Spikeus said his first word.
