//------------------------------// // Straight Through the Universes // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Equestria. Ponyville. Nightfall. Cosmos was facing off against Ponyville. With a vengeful wrath against its residents and those who assisted them, the Spirit of Malice let out all of her hatred that she had boiled up for so long and targeted it at the Pokemon and Pokemon Trainers. The Spirit of Malice showed no signs of exhaustion, but her opponents certainly did. While not all of them, the residents of Ponyville were not stamina-fiends. The skies sang a horrible sound from Cosmos' Chaotic Storm as she laughed whilst flailing her tail around which had multiplied, "Oh. Maybe I should try and get ahead of things with universes." Cosmos thought about reaching into other universes as she held her massively terrifying claws out. She once again interacted with the sky itself, piercing her claws through it as if she was touching something physical. But, interrupting her from messing with not just this world but potentially another world from another universe was an Unown. Multiple Unown. Hundreds of Unown to be exact. They had used Hidden Power on Cosmos, zapping crimson rays from their eyes all over the Spirit of Malice's amalgamated body. Unown and their Hidden Power was arguably the worst thing that Cosmos could experience right now. Because she was now vulnerable to Infinity Energy after merging with Cynthia's Pokemon, Hidden Power and its various ways of attacking a Pokemon depending on their type were stunningly painful to the Spirit of Malice. They had been sent here by Discord, who was currently hiding to prevent any suspicion from Cosmos that he was the cause of it. "Gah! What now?!" Cosmos growled after being zapped by Hidden Power. The hundreds of Unown were of great assistance to Twilight and everyone else as they had more allies on their side. Especially since the Unown proved to be a huge problem to them a few months back. "What type of Pokemon is this?!" Cosmos thundered, swinging her massive claws at the Unown once setting her sights on them. With a swing of her claw, she made a wind pressure while also knocking some of the Unown away. But there were so many of them that they rivalled the numbers of Twilight's group. More of them showed up, using the only attack they could use. Hidden Power. Each ray was tailored to expose the weakness of Cynthia's five Pokemon and it worked efficiently. Discord peered from the corner of a building, hoping that Cosmos hadn't noticed him or knew of the fact that he sent the Unown. The last thing he wanted was Cosmos targeting him. Approaching the scene were Ash, Pikachu, his Lucario, Cynthia's Lucario and Dragonite. The Aura within them and the Staff of Sir Aaron were already raring to go with the goal of freeing Cynthia. They saw that Cosmos was occupied with so many Pokemon that the golden opportunity was right there. That is until Cosmos spoke directly to them. "I see you." Cosmos had used Gastrodon's third eye and other eyes to survey the area. She immediately spotted Ash's group approaching her from the sky while in a battle. Ash gasped as his sneak attack had been compromised. "I see that staff as well. Do you think I'd let it happen a second time?!" After spotting Ash and his party, Cosmos multitasked yet again, focusing on a new target. She opened her mouth, suddenly summoning a storm of snakes. Massive snakes as well. These snakes were sent to deal with both Twilight's group and Ash's group. Four of these snakes had slithered to the sky while another four had slithered on the ground. These massive snakes also ignited their body, setting the ground ablaze from their heat as they had the same malicious fury as Cosmos in every way. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Dragonite, Hyper Beam! Lucario, Aura Sphere!" "Pika...Chuuu!" These snakes were swiftly met with a thundering smite from Pikachu's bolt of 100,000 volts, a destructive beam from Dragonite and two concentrated spheres of Aura that came from both Ash's Lucario and Cynthia's Lucario as they swirled around each other, moving at the same speed. The four snakes had been shocked, blasted away and engulfed by these four attacks before spoofing in a cloud of chaotic smoke. Meanwhile, below, Sceptile had used Frenzy Plant to grab these snakes, restraining them. However, the flames burnt away at the vines, only for Milotic and other Water-Types to then spray them with water. The snakes were drenched in water before then vanishing in a puff of smoke. That puffs of smoke soon turned into Cosmos' claw as she summoned another one of them. The same went for the ones in the air. These arms had grabbed Milotic, Mega Sceptile and the other Water-Types after appearing, slamming them into the ground. They had also caused enough force to the point where their trainers had been launched back by the tremor. Milotic had fainted alongside the other Water Pokemon. Only Mega Sceptile was left as Bisharp cut the arms to help him out of this grip. Queen Serperior, Lilligant, Rarity's 12 Leavanny along with PokePark's Leavanny had collaborated with great unity starting with the 12 Leavanny using String Shot, wrapping it around Cosmos' arms and head. Afterwards, once she was restrained, Lilligant, who was charging Solar Beam prior to this, had released a verdant beam while Petal Blizzard and Leaf Storm joined it. Cosmos' face was met with this array of nature, jerking it back and almost knocking her over. Cosmos, in retaliation, had then multiplied her head while the main one was still feeling the effects of Leaf Storm, Petal Blizzard and Solar Beam. Once she multiplied her heads, she now had six more of them to use. But these weren't just duplicates of her head. These six heads belonged to Cynthia and her 4 Pokemon. All of their heads were poking out while still being connected to Cosmos' neck, making her already look like an even bigger monstrosity. She now resembled a terrifying Hydra at this point. "Oh, it's just getting worse..." Twilight backed away upon seeing this horrific hydra Cosmos. With each passing minute, not only were Cosmos' attacks getting worse but so was her appearance as it was deviating away from something understandable. "Oh, it only gets worse from here, my little pony!" Cosmos exclaimed before laughing with five different voices from five different individuals that she absorbed. All of their voices were meshing against each other, making a horrific sound. It was unpleasant to Fluttershy, Audino and the Audino from PokePark. Out of these six heads, Cosmos had unleashed cosmic beams that all had equal destructive power. These six beams had crashed into the ground, spreading nothing but destruction this time, blowing away the opposing Pokemon with different elements imbued within them. Dragon, Ice, Water and Grass. The head of Cynthia looked over at Ash's group, extending to try and bite them. Cynthia's Lucario was mortified by what Cosmos had done to its trainer. "This is it! Here goes!" Ash saw an opportunity, however. Dragonite accelerated towards the head as Ash and the two Lucario had put their arms out. "Pikachu, Electroweb!" "Pika-Pika-Chu-Pi!" Pikachu had summoned an orb of electricity, hopping off of Dragonite's back. To give his friends a better chance at freeing Cynthia and her Pokemon as the orb had been thrown before then turning into a large net. That net had grabbed onto Cynthia's face, restraining it. It also shocked Cosmos' body in the process with only the parts of Garchomp and Gastrodon being unaffected. But on the plus side, one of her heads had been restrained as Ash and the two Lucarios had touched it. Cosmos' eyes expanded with her pupils dilating as Ash and the two Aura Pokemon managed to finally make contact, much to her shock. And once they touched her face, the Aura began to flow. Everything came to a halt for a moment once the power of Aura had shown itself. A trifecta of Auras went off in a dazzling Azure light. The darkness that Cosmos produced had been pierced with the flare of Aura spreading across the head of Cynthia. Cosmos let out a thundering roar after feeling the Aura reach her. The light had not only enveloped Cynthia's head, but also the entire body of Cosmos along with Ash and his group. It was a success touching Cosmos but the true plan of freeing Cynthia and her Pokemon was still in the air. An unknown realm inside Cosmos' mind. This entire time, Cynthia has been on her own, devoid of anyone else to see or talk to. Cynthia sat on a non-existent ground, huddled up as it felt like months had gone by for her. Possibly years. When really, it's only been two days and one night. But it felt much longer than that. Cynthia never lost hope. She believed well and true that she would be rescued somehow, someway. All Cynthia had to do was wait. There was nothing else she could do anyway. But even when having hope and waiting, Cynthia couldn't help but think about her Pokemon and how they were doing. She wasn't even aware of Cosmos and everything else that was happening. The only trace of Cosmos that she knew about was the constant laughter that echoed across this realm. But even then, Cynthia had no idea who Cosmos was. It looked like she would stay there forever until something happened. A crack. "!" Cynthia stood up, sensing this crack immediately. This crack had formed within the realm, shattering the darkness that encapsulated it. The Champion of Sinnoh stood there for a moment before seeing a familiar flare burst through. A flare of Aura. And right through it, a hand showed up. Ash had arrived. "Ash!" Cynthia exclaimed with joy in her voice. "Oh, this thing's pretty narrow!" Ash growled as he managed to reach this arm. "Cynthia! There you are!" "Luca!" Both Lucarios had burst their heads through the realm, giving Ash more space. Cynthia's Lucario was especially overjoyed to see its trainer once more. As she should normally be. "Grab our hand and paws, Cynthia!" Ash held his hand out while the Lucarios used their paws. Cynthia did not have to waste any more time or say anything else. She knew what needed to be done. Cynthia ran over as her hands met with three different limbs. The plan was a success. Only possible with the help of many others. That was the strength of Ash and all those who were his friends. The strength of bringing others together to overcome odds as another flare of Aura had happened within this realm. The Aura had spread out, engulfing the entirety of this realm in a matter of seconds as if it were a wildfire going off. Or rather, a calming flow of water that filled the sea as Cynthia closed her eyes with a smile. Back outside. Ponyville. "G-GAAAAAAAAH!" Outside, Cosmos was screaming in absolute pain. Previously, she had been touched by Aura from the outside but now, it was made worse for her as it happened on the inside. Inside Cosmos' mind, the Aura had been unleashed. The result of that powerful force that was poisonous to her played its part as she grabbed her six heads with multiplied arms, roaring and shaking the skies and clouds while everyone watched and closed their ears. Speaking of the six heads, they were all starting to jitter and shake at insurmountable speeds, moving so fast that they became a blur. Cosmos was trying to keep these heads stable, but it was no use. Her heads all felt light, everything around her seemed to spin and a feeling of nauseousness crept up slowly with the five heads beginning to glow. For a moment she focused on the pain, honing in on every sensation. Where it came from, how badly it hurt and how badly they wanted it to stop. Tried as she might it seemed impossible to relax completely. Just then, lights flared out of her body in every direction. Nine lights had shown up as they were all under Cosmos' possession. At least, now they were. The Chaos Orb that Celestia and Passion had been placed in revealed itself once more, flying out alongside the cube of Dynasite that contained Luna. The power of three different Auras going off inside of her was more than what Cosmos was expecting as the five heads ended up transforming into those remaining 7 lights. And out of them, Cynthia and her Pokemon could be seen emerging. Everyone ran or flew back as Cosmos let out a burst of Chaos Magic that expanded to a wide radius from this volatile reaction. And carrying Cynthia was Ash and the two Lucario, keeping her up while Dragonite flew back. The rest of Cynthia's Pokemon were a different story as they all couldn't be grabbed by Ash at the moment. "Oh! Leavanny, String Shot!" Rarity ordered her Leavanny. "Leavan!" The Leavanny solved that issue. By using their strings, they managed to wrap all of their thick silky strings onto the bodies of Cynthia's Pokemon. These silks were made to be extra durable thanks to their thickness as the moment they dropped to the ground, the multiple layers of strings cushioned the fall. Dragonite managed to get everyone else down safely once Cynthia was free. But, her Pokemon had been through quite a lot and thus, they were currently unconscious. But not Cynthia herself thanks to being safe inside of Cosmos' mind. "They did it! Nice!" Twilight cheered after seeing Cynthia and her Pokemon freed. Everyone else cheered while Cosmos was feeling winded after having Aura inside of her and the loss of her vessel. Then again, she no longer needed Cynthia as a vessel. "Nice save, you three," Cynthia said to Ash and the two Lucario after being saved. She took a moment to take a breather and everything in at the same time. Her Lucario rushed over to her, hugging the Champion of Sinnoh "It's great to see you as well, Lucario!" She laughed, hugging Lucario back. "That was a success!" Ash chuckled. "Got almost crazy back there with all those heads though!" "Pikachu!" "I knew I'd be rescued eventually. But I suppose I should've known it would be you to free me. Your Aura capabilities have truly improved. Far more than what I have." "Gee, thanks, Cynthia. It's just great to have you back with us." "Pikachu." "But it's not over. Is it?" Cynthia then put on a serious face before turning around to see that Cosmos was still around. She may have lost her amalgamated monstrosity, but she was still in one piece either way. If anything, her weakness to Pokemon Attacks had dwindled now that Cynthia's Pokemon had been separated from her. "HAH! ALL YOU DID WAS REMOVE MY NEW WEAKNESS!" Cosmos laughed at them before balancing herself. "I'M STILL ABOVE MY PRIME! THE RIFT ENERGY THAT MADE A SUBSTITUTE ANDALUSIAN STAR FOR ME IS COMING IN GREAT HELP!" "Rift Energy with a star? What exactly happened?" Cynthia wanted to know everything that had transpired while her boy was under control. "And...I have enough power left...to do this!" Cosmos continued what she tried earlier. She used her magic to once again duplicate her arms, summoning hundreds of them. Once these arms were out, Cosmos had interacted with the sky once more. But she was going above and beyond just that. After piercing her hand through the skies themselves, Cosmos dug deeper, breaking through the boundaries of reality. When moving her arms further, she made not just the sky shake, not just the town or the nearby areas shake, but the world as well. Cosmos managed to make the entire planet shake just by touching the sky. Visible cracks were also forming within the skies and their celestial bodies everyone started losing balance from the trembling of the earth. The cracks spread out further as the clouds started to crumble. The view of the night sky rippled furiously as Cosmos' eyes and entire body flared with Chaos Magic, sending a raging heat that was from all of her hatred. Ash held onto his hat, trying to keep it steady while everything around him and his friends were starting to collapse. But that wasn't the case. Instead, Cosmos was reaching for other universes. Universes 3, 5, 8, 12 & More. And she did. With many of the residents of these different universes living their lives, some of them even being freed from the Empress Control thanks to the Universal Alliance, they certainly weren't expecting what would happen next. Things to them seemed ordinary until massive arms with long claws burst straight through their skies, shattering them while also making a sound that none of them had ever heard before. It felt otherworldly to the ears as each of them had been jump-scared indefinitely Various universes had been reached by Cosmos. Her arms were made to be large and long to reach these universes as the shattered skies had dropped sky shards that started falling. Naturally, everyone across different universes had no idea what was going on as these sky shards had some weight to them with some of them piercing through buildings as if they were swords. Right in-between these massive claws that were moving through universes, a face had appeared. Cosmos' face. It had an astral appearance to it while also perfectly capturing her virulent grimace, her horrifying sharp eyes and her haunting laugh that blocked out all other sounds. Her claws had also broken through mountains, building tops and more once they reached these different universes. The sky shards were so far the biggest problem upon Cosmos' appearance. They had enough strength to pierce through the buildings as ponies, dragons, changelings and other species started fleeing. NOt from the giant face and claws from the skies but from the sharp shards that originated from the skies themselves. An abrupt burst in the skies and a burst of dark pink energy marked the coming of malicious destruction. Cosmos broke the boundaries between universes without needing to use a gateway. Truth is, she could always do this. Such was the stellar and horrific power of Chaos Magic. Her appearance had even expanded to the point where she was among the stars. Her face was out of orbit, only appearing in the skies due to her stagnant size as she overshadowed the beautiful night sky and the stars with her terrifying appearance. And one of these universes that had been reached was none other than Universe 7. Home of Daybreaker. Daybreaker's universe had also received a crack in the sky. However, instead of putting on a serious face, Daybreaker, who was standing on her balcony, merely smiled at this. She seemed unbothered. Unphased. Even though the sky has been broken with shards dropping, Daybreaker used her amazing magic to not only hold the shards in place but also place them back. Her magic proved to be grand enough to repair the damage made by Cosmos. The residents of Canterlot watched in amazement, but they thought nothing less of their ruler. Joining Daybreker on the balcony was none other than Ghetsis and the one who brought the spare Andalusian Stars over to Lucien to give to Cosmos. Colress. "Well, Colress. You did well in managing to get the stars over." Daybreaker spoke. "Cosmos looks to be in tip-top shape. Probably more than usual." "It wasn't that difficult. Just go to another universe and had over the stars." Colress shrugged. "A great plan. But of course, it was a splendid recommendation from Lord Ghetsis." "Again. This is the best way for your Supernova weapon to gather heaps of power. You don't want to limit yourself to RIft Magic, do you? You should shoot for other great powers." Ghetsis replied as this was revealed to be his plan. "And you were right, Ghetsis." Daybreaker laughed. "Cosmos doesn't know this but she's helping us. Or rather me. I need all possibilities of bringing my sister back. And if the options are minuscule and hard to achieve, then we make our own." In truth, this plan was all meant for Daybreaker's Supernova. Weapon. A weapon that had the power to absorb different forms of energy, From magic, Infinity Energy, RIft Magic and even Chaos Magic as right now, after reaching this universe, Cosmos' magic was being given to the massive weapon inside of the palace. Universe 1. Equestria. Ponyville. Nightfall. Back in the first universe, everyone had seen just what Cosmos had done. They saw how the skies cracked but they were unable to see what she had done beyond that. But, it wasn't hard to know that it was nothing good. Discord had seen it all, however. He looked past the cracks, noticing that Cosmos was reaching another universe. Multiple even. Discord held his breath in as he knew that this much damage could only be fixed by someone similar to Cosmos. And much to his chagrin, that was him. He was still terrified of the Spirit of Malice, afraid to tell her the truth. But after seeing everyone's efforts, especially his Unown and even his Krookodile, Discord could see that there was some form of bravery that he managed to gain by sending his Unown there. It was that one moment that he was brave enough to do so, but there was still some cowardice behind it. Discord started thinking of what he should do next. Once Cosmos removed her claws from the cracks in the skies which had been left behind, Discord finally showed himself. Cosmos took notice of her fellow draconequus as he flew up to her enlarged body with her eyes locking onto her lover. "Discord. Darling. There you are. Why hide for so long? You don't strike me as the nervous type." Cosmos spoke to him. Discord then looked down, facing his friends with an audible gulp that only Fluttershy and the two Audino had heard. Fluttershy knew how Discord was feeling. She nodded his head, encouraging him to go through with what could come next when involving the Spirit of Malice. "Cosmos." Discord spoke with a slight whimper in his voice. "This is it. You're done for. Put everything back to the way it was or I might have to..." "Have to what, dear? We have a lot to look forward to for every other universe. So why put this back together? Things are coming up my way. Albeit with some slight annoyances. After all, you care for me too much to do anything else, right? Centuries ago, I noticed you were always looking up at the sky because of me." "I was looking up at the sky because I was terrified of you." Discord then landed on Cosmos' face, poking it. Cosmos had hearts in her eyes, not bothered by Discord's words. "Terrified that you would come back, you arrogant fool. You were making me miserable!" "No. You adore me." Cosmos was in denial. "No. For you see...the truth is..." Discord took a deep breath before finally revealing the truth to her. "I was the one who ran to Celestia and Luna to beg them to lock you away. And these Unown were sent by me to stop you." He finally admitted it to Cosmos. "Because you don't have the heart to do it yourself." Cosmos gushed, still believing that Discord had intense feelings for her. Everyone watched as this conversation went on with some of them gagging from Cosmos' replies. "Admit. We're two sides of the same coin! You can't hurt me. You care about me." "I did care about you once. But you were never that special to me...nor were you my friend!" Discord had suddenly expanded his body size, matching Cosmos as he was going straight for the crown of the Andalusian Stars. Cosmos was shocked to hear this as she blocked Discord from grabbing the crown by holding his arms. "What?!" She growled. "You stopped thinking about what I wanted! You used me! You didn't care about me! That's not what a friend is, let alone a lover! I don't even know what you are!" Discord continued to lash out at her. "Right now, I'm not afraid of you anymore! You will put everything back the way they were before you came back! These humans, ponies and Pokemon are my true friends!" "Discord!" Cosmos thundered with a storm brewing until that storm slowed down. She suddenly let go of Discord before putting on a face of distraught. "You've changed." "I have." Discord shook his head as Cosmos was severely disappointed by this. Her mouth trembled as she looked genuinely sad about what had become of her fellow draconequus. "I haven't." But, that was all a ruse as she caught Discord off guard, blasting him with a massive ray of Chaotic Energy. Cosmos laughed after blindsiding Discord before cackling. "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I AM!? I AM MALICE PERSONIFiED! OBVIOUSLY, I USED YOU! WHAT GOES BETTER WITH MALICE THAN CHAOS?!" "Discord! Ash and everyone screamed as Discord had been shot down y this massive blast of Chaos Magic. He fell to the ground in this massive body before shrinking. Cosmos revealed her true intentions before laughing at Discord's downed body. "AND IF CHAOS WON'T JOIN ME AS MY COMPANION, YOU CAN SIT AT MY FEET AS A DOG!" Cosmos declared Discord useless to her now. Only seeing her as a potential new pet. Discord tremble on the ground before rubbing his eyes, sitting up to see the true face of the one he once had fun with. As the journey continues. Chapter 797 End.
