Equestria. The Pokemon House. Late Afternoon.
Fluttershy had arrived at the Pokemon House, immediately seeking the help of all the Pokemon living here. The world was currently undergoing a Cosmos Crisis. With the chaotic storm in the skies, just three Andalusian Stars left and miniature versions of Cosmos' true form dropping from above, Cosmos was truly gaining the edge, albeit with assistance via controlled bodies.
"Ah...it's good to see that you're all still okay." Fluttershy was relieved that none of the Pokemon here were under Cosmos' possession. She got a small fright from the sound of chaotic thunder rumbling before shaking her head. "Right now, I need your help. All of Equestria needs your help. It's a lot to go through. I don't have time to explain."
"Krookodile." Krookodile and many of the Pokemon here were already dedicated to helping Fluttershy out. She took care of all of them here, acting as the best possible caretaker they could have. The giant storm of chaos along with the explosion that was heard earlier was also a great reason.
Fluttershy felt glad to be surrounded by so many friends of different species. She didn't need to say much for them to be by her side. "Thank you. Thank you all." A grateful Fluttershy bowed her head. "But let's come up with something. I need all the Fairy-Types to come together for me quickly. And anyone that knows a Fairy move."
Immediately, all the Fairy-Types and Pokemon that knew a sort of Fairy Type move living here flocked to Fluttershy. Fairy Magic proved to be effective against Cosmos as it had freed Valerie's Sylveon, Spritzee and Mawile.
"Cosmos still probably has more numbers than us, so we need to free as many of our friends as we can. And even the Pokemon who are from Frenzy Forest. All we need to do is-" However, before Fluttershy could continue, that was when they had arrived.
From the chaotic storm, it started raining Cosmos. The miniature variations of her true form, of course, in which Fluttershy and everyone got to see what she truly looked like. And unlike the other Cosmos' that started falling from above in both worlds, these ones had already started causing chaos.
"What are those?!" Fluttershy gasped, witnessing the raining miniature Cosmos' as they all had a semblance of Chaos Magic with them even in this small state. It was a little amount of it but still chaotic nonetheless as they set themselves on fire. They let out tiny maniacal laughter before crashing into Pokemon House with a fiery wrath.
Upon crashing with a fiery body, they immediately set the beautiful acre of trees on fire when smashing into them. The Pokemon House also had some flammable material in the form of straws and leaves, making them susceptible to what came next. The house had also been crashed into by the raining Cosmos' and their flame bodies as a fire had started.
The flames were just as destructive as a regular wildfire with these little malicious creatures with the area being up with an orangish glow.
"I know he's here!" The Cosmos all spoke with higher-pitched voices. "Discord darling!"
"Cosmos!" Fluttershy pieced it together. She had a similar build and appearance to Discord while also calling for him. The voice was also recognizable as Cosmos' voice, confirming to the pegasus that this was Cosmos' true form.
"Ah! It's you!" Cosmos glanced at Fluttershy. Upon seeing her, Cosmos only had nothing but scorn. Fluttershy was one of the few individuals who gave her a hard time during this chaotic rampage. Not only that, be showed visible disdain towards the pegasus due to her being Discord's friend. "Fluttershy...So this is where you live, hm? I made the right call dropping here it seems."
"Sylveon!" Sylveon snarled at Cosmos, demanding that she released Valerie from her control.
"I can have some sweet payback...and I'll start by destroying everything you love" Cosmos declared with a booming voice that damaged Audino's sensitive ears. "But don't worry. I'll keep you around just to be my personal plaything. It's been a while since I've had one of those.
"Krookodile!" Krookodile stood in front of Fluttershy the moment Cosmos threatened her and practically everyone in the Pokemon House. Speaking of the Pokemon House, many of the Pokemon there started exiting the moment the flames sprouted up. The Water-Types came together to put these flames out before they could worsen.
However, they had to deal with the miniature Cosmos' at the same time. They immediately started throwing themselves at the Pokemon, having less magic than Cosmos who was already lacking in her prime but enough malicious nature to cause tremendous chaos. But all of that could be retaliated by the Pokemon here who immediately faced off against the various Cosmos'.
Cosmos' magic ran rampant with what she could work with. The trees were targeted once more. Instead of being set on fire, Cosmos had turned them into monstrous trees, becoming fully sentient. Some Pokemon that were near the trees were caught off guard, especially the Water-Types who had put out the fire earlier. Massive roots shot out from the trees, wrapping around the Water-Types that weren't looking, catching them off guard.
"Krookodile! Please take care of everything else here!" Fluttershy requested the Ground-Dark-Type. She was still focused on freeing her friends but the miniature Cosmos' were in the way of that. She left everything up to Krookodile. "And keep Discord safe too."
"Krookodile!" Krookodile nodded in understanding. The Intimidation Pokemon had one solemn job and he would carry it with great force.
"Everyone else, come with me!" Fluttershy called for the Fairy-Type Pokemon as they promptly followed Fluttershy, Audino, Bayleef and Raboot.
Naturally, there were many Cosmos' that got in her way, using their combined magic to create a wall of jagged rocks that had been thrown in their direction.
"Krooko...Dile!" Krookodile had used Earthquake, stomping on the ground as he created a golden shockwave that raced towards the spikes. The shockwave passed by Fluttershy and the Fairy Pokemon, avoiding them as the spikes had only touched the energy from Earthquake. The spikes were crushed by the superior power of the earth while also blowing away the miniature Cosmos' due to the force the attack generated.
The Intimidation Pokemon gave a thumbs-up to the pegasi and the others. That let Fluttershy know that the Pokemon House was in good hands. Or claws in this case. She smiled before leaving the house and her cottage overall.
Kanto. Pallet Town. Late Afternoon.
At the Pokemon World, once all of the Cosmos' had rained down from the chaotic storm above, their rampage of chaos could begin. And the Kanto Region was already in the way of Cosmos' malicious ways.
A group of them had landed near the Ketchum Household with Delia and Mr Mime witnessing their arrival. Delia found Cosmos to be adorable, especially in her miniature form.
"I wonder what you little cuties are?" Delia kneeled down, facing the miniature Cosmos'. The horde of Cosmos soon turned to face Delia Ketchum and Mr Mime. They put on grimacing faces that had only malicious intent in them. Right now, there were two targets in front of them ripe for terrorizing.
They didn't waste any more time as the horde of Cosmos' had immediately lunged at Delia and Mr Mime with their claws and wings out. "Oh my!" Delia gasped as she and Mr Mime were caught by surprise as these miniature draconequus' had already overwhelmed them.
"Mr Mime?!" Mr Mime's ears and face had been grabbed as the various Cosmos' had caused them both to fall over.
"This one's a beauty, isn't she?!" One of the Cosmos' spoke. "Think we should control her?"
"No, no, let's get creative. I've been itching to torture someone for a while now!" Another replied as they all wanted to cause malicious torture instead of continuing to take over multiple bodies. All of it wouldn't matter when Cosmos' true form was eventually restored.
"Mi-Mime!" Mr Mime tried using Psychic to push the various Cosmos' away, only for all of them to use their magic as retaliation. They could essentially use Psychic, just not with Infinity Energy. Chaos Magic was the reason. Reflecting the Psychic away had also harmed Mr Mime's body due to the recoil that was added.
After grabbing Delia and Mr Mime, the Cosmos' decided to take this inside. They all combined their power to teleport Delia Ketchum and Mr Mime into the Ketchum Household while also having something diabolical in mind.
Upon being sent back into their own, Delia and Mr Mime found that they were no longer being grabbed by the hordes of Cosmos'. However, they were still restrained. And the object in question that was restraining them was a Dynasite table that had been laid on.
Dynasite chains wrapped around their arms and legs as their backs were on the table of intense metal. The interior of their home had also been changed. Despite being brought back indoors, Cosmos had used her combined magic in all of these pint-sized duplicates to change them to her liking.
She had a made funhouse with that magic. Outside, it looked like a regular household but inside, Cosmos had made a special room that fit more of her style. And in that special room, Delia saw how there were these unsettling smiles everywhere. The lights had been cut as the chaotic storm above darkened it, making those smiles all the eerier as the dozens of Cosmos' were everywhere in this one room, surrounding them.
"What's going on?!"
"Now, now! Let's get this started, shall we?!" Cosmos cackled. "I think to get us back up to speed, we should do this first! Let's see how strong you are in there." She tapped Delia's head. "And then, we'll do other fun things afterwards."
Cosmos targeted Delia's mind first. Multiple of her had gone up to Delia's face. She then looked at the room, noticing how the picture of her family was on the table nearby. She looked at the picture, spotting not just Delia, but her son and husband as well.
"Oooh! This is a good one! How about I show this?!" Seeing who her family members were, Cosmos knew exactly what to do. Her duplicates immediately touched Delia's head, going straight for a telepathic invasion. Delia's pupils shrunk as she let out a split second gasp.
"Just to make things more interesting!" Cosmos, while beginning to invade her mind, had also poked Delia from the sides, delivering an electric shock. Delia grunted from this as the duplicates chuckled. The malice they were looking for was starting to come back to them. And the true Cosmos overall. "Ooh, that felt good! But not as good as this!"
Afterwards, Cosmos found herself looking into Delia's mind and memories. Afterwards, Delia's pupils had whited out as Cosmos saw into her mind, once again, spotting her family. The most common figure was Ash Ketchum, who Cosmos was seeing for the first time.
Delia closed her eyes from the electric shock she kept receiving from the side before opening them. Immediately after opening her eyes, she was suddenly moving. "W-What...?!" Delia gasped before seeing the Dynasite table move. It had gained wheels all of a sudden as she was passing through this room which had been expanded to a much larger size than how it originally was. Such was the way of this funhouse that Cosmos had made.
When moving through this room, Cosmos's effects on her mind were already kicking in. Delia's vision had been obscured as she ended up seeing a picture of Ash up ahead. "Ash?"
There she saw her son. But something was off. When the table went closer, Delia immediately closed her eyes, not wanting to know what Cosmos was planning on showing her. She had no idea that her mind was being used to Cosmos' pleasure, believing all of this to be real.
"Ah-ah-ah. No hiding~" Cosmos whistled,d using her magic to force Delia to keep her eyes open. And once those eyes were opened, she saw what picture Cosmos had projected of her son. They were multiple pictures instead of one, plastered everywhere.
Pictures of Ash being harmed in various ways. Different angles of Ash on the floor could be seen as his body received a cruel variety of different ways he could be harmed. A burnt body with flames burning away his clothes, especially his hat. His body twitched uncontrollably from the electricity around him, crackling constantly.
There was a picture of him being covered in wax, motionless and unable to move as the hot wax harmed his body all over with nothing to do. Other pictures involved Ash being drenched in poison with his body starting to corrode and melt away. Delia wanted to look away but she couldn't, thanks to Cosmos who was laughing constantly with audible echoes.
"Ash?!" Delia was frightened by what she was seeing. Her beloved son, in these horrific situations that harmed him greatly. Possibly even more. While it frightened her, it pleased Cosmos.
The pictures kept coming as more and more virulent ways that Ash had been harmed kept popping up through this long hallway. They were getting worse and worse along the way as Delia was forced to see them all.
"This is just the start!" Cosmos' voice boomed through the room. "I'm going to have so much more fun with you...and everyone! But for now, enjoy the ride! There's plenty more where that came from!"
"T-This isn't real!" Delia cried out, perceiving this as nothing but an illusion. "I don't know who you are, but this would never happen to my son!"
"Not yet." Cosmos cackled. "But the mother always experiences things first, right? I believe we should do that to you. And soon, your son can join in some sweet mother-son bonding. And I'll let you choose because I'm so generous."
Cosmos manipulated some of the images, bringing it over to Delia. Four different methods of physical harm had been shown to her, all of which Cosmos planned to use.
"Don't be shy. We can start small if you want~" Cosmos giggled. "Nighttime is nearby, so we have the whole night to ourselves and tomorrow! How exciting!"
"Gh...!" Delia tried breaking free from the chains, but not only was that pointless since they were chains, but also the fact that they were made out of Dynasite. "I choose none!"
"None? Oh, of course you'd say that." Cosmos groaned, expecting that kind of response as she shook her head, throwing the pictures. "It's fine. I'll choose. I'd have the better options anyway. But I haven't forgotten about your weird mime friend. Let's keep going, okay?!"
Cosmos would continue to toy around with Delia, showing more pictures of Ash in horrible situations with a damaged body. And very soon, Cosmos was planning on performing all of these vile acts on her.
Professor Oak's Lab.
"Charizard!" However, it was a different story in the rest of Pallet Town. The miniature Cosmos duplicates attempted to play around with everyone else here, only for them to encounter the wrath of Ash's Pokemon.
Charizard had breathed fire on the small Cosmos' while the Twilight Sparkle from the Human World, Oak and Tracey stood behind him. Immediately, Ash's Pokemon already knew that these small Spirits of Malice were nothing but trouble. The second they attempted to cause malice to them, the Pokemon of the Alola Champion acted accordingly in the right way.
"Gliscor!" Gliscor had used X-Scissor, knocking some of the Mini-Cosmos' out of the sky when they tried to jump on the others.
"What are those things!?" Twilight asked Professor Oak who was surprisingly calm about this. "What kind of Pokemon are those Professor Oak?!
"My Pokedex doesn't say a thing about them!" Tracey held out his Pokedex as it didn't get a single bit of info about Cosmos.
"Hm. Then, in that case, they're not from this world. Perhaps, they're from the world next door." said Oak. "Might be a creature of magic too."
"Why's it attacking us all of a sudden?!" Twilight had more questions. She closed her eyes as Kingler, Corphish, Totodile, Buizel, Oshawott and Palpitoad unleashed a stream of Water-Type attacks toward the attacking malefic creatures.
"Not a clue. But don't worry. As long as Ash's Pokemon are here, you'll be safe." Oak reassured her. "But the same should go for everyone else if these things are raining everywhere."
"Ash's home!" Twilight gasped. "Mrs Ketchum!"
"Infernape!" Infernape responded immediately to that. He heard Oak and Twilight bring up the rest of Pallet Town's residents. So did Staraptor, Gible and Glalie. They knew where to be next.
"You there!" Cosmos' voice suddenly boomed as she focused her attention on Twilight. Multiple of her had ascended into the air while the rest were still in a scuffle with Ash's Pokemon. "Ah...you look exactly like that pony back at Equestria..." Cosmos could see the immediate similarities to her world's Twilight. "A counterpart. And best of all...I can sense something from you."
"W-What?" Twilight stuttered as it kept raining more Cosmos with seemingly no end in sight. As long as that storm was up, they would continue dropping with overwhelming numbers.
"You have a massive amount of fear inside of you." Cosmos could sense Twilight's fear. She knew that deep down, Twilight had something she could exploit. With malice, of course. And that excited the Spirit of Malice. "Oooh, I'd like to have fun with you the most next. You are-"
"Talonflame!" Interrupting the mini Cosmos' in the air was Talonflame who came charging in with Flame Charge. The miniature versions gasped as they had been tackled by Talonflame and its blazing aura.
"Qui...lava!" Quilava helped deal with the Cosmos' in the air by using Eruption, unleashing a massive pillar of fire from his back that had engulfed them at the right angle.
"Twilight. It's best that you get home if she's focused on you." Oak suggested. Despite having a calm disposition, he knew that Cosmos was planning something downright terrifying if she was fixated on Twilight.
"O-Okay!" Twilight nodded in response.
"Boldore. Glalie. Make sure she makes it back, alright?"
"Glalie!" Glalie immediately hovered over to Twilight, offering her a ride. Twilight hopped onto the back of Glalie as she used him as a ride. Once she hopped on, Glalie hovered away with Boldore sliding alongside him. It was off to the Kanto port, to the Unova Region, and right through the gateway that leads to her home.
"There's nowhere for you to escape!" Cosmos shouted as there was truth to what she was saying. A massive form of truth as dozens, possibly hundreds of her were raining everywhere else.
As for Infernape and the others, they made their way towards Ash's home, but Cosmos' kept raining, constantly blocking their path. Professor Oak and Tracey remained safe for the most part, but with all of these Cosmos' constantly falling, these overwhelming numbers might never end.
Elsewhere across the Pokemon World, with the emergence of so many Cosmos' duplicates, they had spread chaos across the various regions in different ways. Whether it'd be the small towns or the big cities, the forests, the caves and the seas, they were all being threatened by chaos.
Speaking of the seas, the lightning from the chaos storm ended up targeting that, smiting the area. The cosmic lightning had a volatile reaction to the waters much like how standard electricity would. The Water Pokemon were threatened, feeling the chaotic lightning come through. Some of them fled, while others either received a shock from it.
The various forests received Cosmos' favourite chaotic action to do. Set things on fire. A wildfire had been born in various forests but with the addition of these Mini-Cosmos' tearing them up with their claws, ripping the trees and plant life to shreds.
However, with all of this chaos, there were Pokemon who retaliated, as to be expected, much to Cosmos' chagrin. She expected heaps of retaliation by this point considering she was already dealing with it back in her world.
Cosmos wasn't just using small duplicates of herself to cause havoc. Her influence over this world ended up warping space in the process. And by doing so, she managed to draw out power from the dimension she was banished to in the stars. With the current amount of magic she had, she could barely do this, but it was still terrifying now that she had the capability to do so.
From the Malice Dimension, terrifying things were being brought out that would add to the malefic chaos that was occurring. All of the things that Cosmos formed in that dimension due to her lengthy banishment there had been summoned, proving to be just as malicious as her.
Equestria. Out in he mountains near the Pixie Plains. Nightfall.
Meanwhile, while Twilight and Pinkie Pie were searching for their friends via the power of Slurpuff's powerful nose, the moon had not risen. Despite nightfall approaching, with Princess Luna stuck, the correct celestial body had not shown itself neither did the Sun set thanks to Celestia passing out.
"Something's not right..." Twilight looked to the skies as she, Pinkie Pie and the Slurpuff were all on the transformed body of a Mew that had become Lugia. Mew's favourite Pokemon to turn into. "The Sun and Moon should've been lowered and raised by now...Princess Celestia! Princess Luna!"
"W-What do you think happened?" Pinkie Pie questioned with a nervous tone in her voice.
"I don't know but we need to keep going. Faster, Mew!" Twilight aimed her hoof forward. However, immediately afterwards, she felt something land on her head, throwing off her serious tone. "Ow!"
"Huh?" Pinkie looked up, being the first of her group to finally notice something coming down from the chaotic storm. Or rather someone. The Cosmos' had started raining there as they landed on Slurpuff and Pinkie's head and Twilight's hoof and soon the entire body of Mew as Lugia. "Oooh..."
"What are these things? Draconequus'?" Twilight looked at the small draconequus that dropped on her hoof and head. Immediately, they gripped onto her mane while clawing at her. "Ow!"
"Espeon!" Espeon had some on her as well, immediately noticing that Twilight was being attacked. So was Mew as the giant body of Luna was a massive target. A target big enough for the potential smiting of chaotic lightning.
"Get them off!" Pinkie Pie screeched as these tiny Cosmos' started crawling all over them, clawing, biting and scratching them. It was all unnerving for the body.
"Slurpuff!" Slurpuff certainly couldn't get them off thanks to his little arms, which was without a doubt one major weakness for the Meringue Pokemon as the tiny Spirits of Malice laughed in their faces.
"Don't worry! It's going to get worse!" Cosmos spoke to them in a high-pitched voice as the chaotic lightning was finally targeted them. Twilight and her friends gasped, looking up to see the lightning coming their way.
Mew had been struck by this hyper-fast bolt of chaotic lightning, immediately feeling the painful sting and shock it brought. Once he had been hit, the aura of lightning affected everyone else shocking them as they were on Mew. Cosmos' was fine, however. She made it so that the lightning did not affect her.
"M-Mew!" It was so hard-hitting towards Mew that he ended up reverting to his normal form. Pinkie Pie, Slurpuff and Espeon fell off immediately with nothing to ride on through the air.
"Mew, no!" Pinkie cried out, swimming through the air to try and reach the New Species Pokemon.
"Mew-Mew!" The second Mew popped out of Pinkie Pie's mane, seeing that her friend took a nasty blow from the lightning. She also saw that they were falling from a great distance. Only Twilight managed to recover thanks to her wings. "Mew...!" Mewie had also transformed, this time, turning into a Pokemon that could resist the electricity.
Flygon.
"Flygon!" After transforming into Flygon, Mewie swooped in, catching Pinkie Pie and Slurpuff whilst Twilight managed to save Espeon via telekinesis. To say that the many Cosmos' were agitated that once again, her targets ended up saving themselves was an understatement.
"Nice save, Mewie!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed as Mew and Twilight had descended with their friends, touching the mountains afterwards. It was most definitely safer to be on the ground than in the air thanks to this chaotic lightning that was going on.
"Is everyone okay?" Twilight asked as they landed on the cleft of a mountain.
"Yeah. But boy that stung." Pinkie Pie shuddered. Cosmos was a bit confused by how they managed to withstand such a powerful blast of lightning. But, she realized that it could be one reason for this resistance.
"Fairy Magic..." She snarled. And without her realizing it, she was right. Pinkie Pie was in a similar case as Fluttershy in which she had Fairy Magic that had been revealed by Valerie. Twilight had an advantage thanks to her being an alicorn and the magic of Horizon Storm within her.
She looked up to see the dozens of Cosmos' that have come from above as the chaotic thunder rumbled with their coordinated snarl. "Who are you?" Twilight questioned.
"I am Cosmos." Cosmos finally revealed herself to Twilight Sparkle and her friends with all of her voices going off. "What you see now is my true form but on a smaller scale...Very soon, I'll be massive once more."
"So that's Cosmos?" Pinkie Pie gawked. "Aw, she's kind of cute."
"What did you do with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna!?" Twilight roared. "And where's Absol?!"
"That mangy mutt...cat...whatever that thing is! Having a nice vacation back at my Malice Dimension, where it deserves to be after giving me so much trouble in such little time. Luna's having fun being smashed around at the moment. Your precious Ruler of Equestria is taking a nap, but I'm not done with her. Or anyone else in this world. You've all been postponing my revival ever since last night."
"Princess Celestia...?!" Twilight was horrified to hear that.
"Ah. Now that I get a good look at you, you do resemble your human counterpart. Hm." Cosmos found some amusement from that. "Anyway, I've been fixated on making you my playthings when we first met. It was in the body of that Cynthia girl. I'm getting my chance to relieve my stress here. Won't you help me out, Princess of Friendship?"
"Espeon...!"
"You're going to pay...!" Much like how Espeon was growling at the Spirit of Malice, Twilight's visible anger had been shown and directed towards Cosmos'. For a split second, Horizon Storm was trying to claw her way out. Harming her friends, sending them elsewhere that spelt nothing but danger was enough to rile her up.
And Cosmos loved it. She did enjoy herself some anger. The thunder of chaos struck once more near the Pixie Plains and these mountains as it would be these dozens up dozens of Chaos' threatening and facing off against Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie and their Pokemon as the journey continues.
