It was Twicolda!Coco's team drove out of Ratcicle territory.
"So the mountains where the Spike hero is?" Coco asked.
"It’s in the west of Wumpa Island." Stalag answered.
"Well, let’s get going!" Twilight said.
"I still find it weird fighting for good." Ripper Roo admitted.
"You gotta admit though, still feels good." Sonata added, helping Ripper Roo smile.
"Yeah, I guess so." Ripper Roo agreed.
"You got any plans for going straight?" Mikey asked.
"I might get a job with Dingo." Ripper Roo responded.
"As what?" Vixot added.
"I don't know. I'd take a job as a janitor." Ripper Roo answered.
"Heh. With how crazy you are, you'll get the place spick and span in no time." Stalag replied.
"Thanks." Ripper Roo said in gratitude.
"No prob." Stalag responded.
"I still can't believe you're a counterpart of my little sis, Twilight." Freezing admitted.
"Why?" Twilight asked.
"It's like I'm having twin little sisters." Freezing answered, but before anyone could say anything else, an ambush happened.
"What the?!" Coco and her team gasped as Spikes appeared before them.
"This wasn't in my calculations!" Micolda dreaded before a gray Spike with red armor appeared, who Stalag recognized.
"Sis!" Stalag dreaded as Coco and her team saw the Spike Hero was being controlled by an NV.
"She doesn't look tough." Coco said as she readied her sword.
"Uh... Coco?" Stalag tried to warn Coco as the Spike Hero punched into the ground, before pulling out stones that were exactly like Coco's weapons.
"What?!" Coco gasped.
"I should've mentioned that Quaka is just like you." Stalag said.
"Still think we have the advantage." Mikey retorted as Coco attacked, only for Quaka to counter the attack perfectly.
"No way!" Coco dreaded in shock.
"Yeah, Quaka’s just like you. Should’ve mentioned that earlier." Stalag apologized.
"Get with it." Mikey, Twilight and Sonata deadpanned.
"I'm not trying to jinx us." Ripper Roo said.
"Twilight, put a Ratcicle mask on." Coco ordered.
"What?" Twilight asked in confusion.
"Trust Coco on this!" Micolda said as she turned into her mask form.
"Ok." Twilight hesitantly agreed as she donned the mask, covering herself in a bright light, but when it faded, there was a humanoid Ratcicle with purple fur, Twilight’s clothes, glasses, hair and equipment, and had a symbol on her right cheek. It was Twicolda!
"This is incredible!" Twicolda awed.
"Whoa!" Freezing gasped in amazement.
"You handle Quaka." Coco said.
"Are you sure about this, Coco? She might need your help." Stalag asked as Coco grabbed her shield.
"She'll get my help." Coco responded.
"But how?" Stalag added.
"Just worry about the rest of the Spikes." Coco reminded.
"Right." Stalag agreed as everyone rushed towards the controlled Spikes while Twicolda and Coco rushed at Quaka.
"Ready?" Coco asked.
"As I'll ever be!" Twicolda answered as she sent forth ice shards, but Quaka blocked them, not knowing it was a diversion.
"Gotcha!" Coco yelled before Quaka jumped into the air, dodging her sneak attack. "Not good!"
"I warned you that Quaka’s exactly like you!" Stalag shouted.
"Which is why I need to get creative!" Coco realized as she brought out her weapon's arsenal, wrapping her whip around Quaka's left arm. "Get ready!" Coco said as she mentally did some calculations. "Twicolda, catch!" Coco shouted as she tossed her shield to Twicolda, who caught it.
"Got it!" Twilight said.
"Now bring out the blades and encase it in ice." Coco informed.
"Understood!" Twicolda replied as she did so.
"Now, aim for Quaka!" Coco ordered.
"Okay!" Twicolda said as she threw the ice encased spiky shield, but Quaka caught it.
"Exactly as planned." Coco said as she and Twilcolda grinned.
"Cold Contact!" Twicolda shouted as the shield started to freeze Quaka’s body, with her arm still wrapped by Coco's whip.
"Twi! The NV!" Coco called out as Twicolda rushed and swung her spear, slicing up the NV and freeing Quaka from the device's control.
"Uh… What? Hello?" Quaka wondered.
"You okay?" Coco asked.
"What happened?" Quaka responded.
"Long story." Stalag said as he came back.
"The NV was controlling you." Coco informed.
"Oh, but it was so cool!" Quaka pouted.
"I know." Coco agreed.
"It was making you Cortex’s puppet." Twicolda added.
"Oh, fudge! Well, now I’m mad! The best gizmo in ages is evil!" Quaka growled.
"Said the same thing." Coco said.
"The last Spike was freed." Ripper Roo called out as the rest of the team showed up.
"That was quick." Freezing noticed.
"It's me!" Ripper Roo randomly said.
"And the bone?" Mikey asked.
"You mean this? Uka Uka’s bone? I can tell this is his." Quaka responded as she held out one of Uka Uka's bones.
"How?" Stalag uttered in surprise.
"Guess you weren’t kidding when you said Quaka was just like me." Coco noticed.
"I can see that." Sonata agreed.
"So, Twi, how does your fusion feel?" Vixot asked.
"Pretty good!" Twicolda answered before she split back into Twilight and Micolda.
"But draining." Twilight added.
"You get use to it." Sonata assured her friend.
"Well, let’s head back and meet up with the others." Coco said as everyone else agreed that it was smart to do.
"Let’s head back to Crash’s house!" Sonata declared as everyone left to rendezvous at Crash's house.
