Sunstone

We got our reply far quicker than expected.

Apparently the princess received a message about something happening to the portal.

The journal on her end had been knocked off and once it was returned we could have returned shortly after arriving.

Though she recommended Sunset Shimmer come along.

Sunset questioned why she would need to come along when a voice came from the journal saying that it was their request.

This caused her to scream and nearly fall over.

The journal opened to a page with only a drawing of a unicorn.

The picture started to move and introduced itself as Nightlight.

The name seemed to scare Sunset Shimmer a little.

When Sunset asked how he was doing that he said it was a spell called haycarts method.

Before we could ask anymore he disappeared from the page.

When we made our way to the statue I asked why Sunset was afraid of this Nightlight pony.

Sunset explained that when she still lived in Equestria Celestia would tell her to stay away from Nightlight.

Apparently he was a danger to those around him.

Before we left for the statue Sunset gave the journal to one of her friends.

Once we reached the base of the statue Sunset explained that we should go through slowly so we didn't get shot out the other end.

Once I was on the other side I noticed that my colors were still different.

Looking to the mirror I noticed that I looked like a younger Sunset Shimmer.

I also had a cutie mark that was a mirrored version of hers.

At the door to the room stood Spike the brave and glorious.

He asked us to follow him.

He led us to a sitting room with a table surrounded by cushions.

Sitting at the table were mom, dad, Princess Twilight, that Nightlight, Starlight Glimmer, and a mare I did not know.

When mom and dad saw us they ran up to hug us.

When I asked how they recognized me Nightlight said that he explained what happened to me to them.

Wait how did he know what happened to me but not me.

Well there's no time like the present.

Nightlight took a deep breath and explained that I was the Sunset Shimmer from the human world pointing out my mirrored cutie mark as evidence of this.

This was apparently a clear indicator of this.

But this made no sense.

If that was true then how did I end up in the frozen waste.
