Dinner time at the school. The School's cafeteria has plenty of food for their students, especially a wide variety of food for the different students attending. As Sandbar was going through the line, He grabbed a Hayburger, some horseshoe fries, an apple, and a juice box. But when Smolder was going through the line, she grabbed a couple of sushi rolls, a can of soda, pudding, and a few gemstones. An addition requested by Spike. When all of the student six have their dinner, they all sit down together at the same table.

"I gotta say, the food this year is so much better than last year." Said Smolder as she popped a few gems into her mouth.

"Yeah! Soy, and veggies got so boring after a while, but now they have fish! Fish! For those of us who are omnivorous!" Said Gallus eating a piece of Sushi. 

"Yuck... I don't see how any creature can eat meat." Said Ocellus. All she had on her tray was desserts.

"Look who's talking. You are gonna get a stomach ache with all that sugar you are eating." Said Gallus.

"I don't need anything else, I mostly eat love, remember?" Ocellus deadpanned

"Wait, friend Ocellus still eat love?" Asked Yona.

"Well, yeah. Of course. I just don't take it forcefully. Some of your guys's love just rubs off on me." cellus shrugs.

"I wonder how love tastes." Silverstream puts her claw to her beak and looks up at the ceiling. As they were talking, Gallus looked over at Sandbar, his tray was completely empty, and Sandbar had some ketchup smeared on his face.

"Jeez Sandbar you're already done!?" Said Gallus in amazement.

"Urp, yep." Said Sandbar licking his lips.

"It's only been five minutes! Did you even taste it?" Gallus joked.

"Ha, pretty funny." Sandbar leans back in his seat to rub his stomach with his hoof.

"One of these days you're going to be as big as a dragon." Teased Gallus.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" Asked Smolder crossing her arms. "Do you think dragons are fat? Am I fat Gallus?"

"Uhhhhh.... that's not what I meant." Said Gallus Sheepishly.

"Then what did you mean?" Asked Smolder scowling at him.

"Well... look at the previous Dragon Lord, Dragon Lord Torch. He is as big as the school!" Gallus tried to explain himself.

"He's the Dragon Lord, of course he is big!" Smolder huffs, causing smoke to bellow out of her nostrils.

"That's no excuse, all dragons get big. Even Spike got that big when he got greedy. Maybe you'll get that big too Smolder." Said Sandbar. Smolder's response to Sandbar was picking up a handful of pudding and throwing it in Sandbar's face. The other students gasp as Sandbar wipes some of the pudding off with his hoof. He glares at Smolder and throws it back, also hitting Smolder in the face. The other student's present upon hearing the commotion turn to see what was going on. Smolder growls before grabbing another handful and beams Sandbar with it.

"FOOD FIGHT!" Yells one of the other students and picks up his whole tray and throws it. Almost immediately the whole cafeteria begins throwing their food at each other. Ocellus and Silverstream take cover while Gallus and Yona stand up with smirks on their faces and begin throwing food as well. It didn't take long before a pony from the kitchen to come running out, he had a white coat and bleach blonde mane. He had a handlebar mustache and was wearing a chef's hat. He bursts into the cafeteria, shouting at everyone.

"Sacré bleu! What do you children zink you are doing!?" Yelled the chef pony. All the students freeze and look at the chef and everything grows quiet. "Who started zis madness!? Tell me now!" Almost all at once, everyone except for the student six points to Smolder. "You! You will come with me to Headmare's office, now!"

"Seriously? But I didn't mean for everyone to..." Said Smolder before she was cut off. by the Chef.
"NOW!!!" The Chef yelled even louder. Smolder grumbles before crossing her arms. She tried to look angry, but it was obvious by her eyes, she was upset, not mad. Sandbar, Sees her and begins to feel some regret. He was also responsible for causing the foodfight, so he stood up.

"Wait! I say we sort this out with rule 17 in the student handbook!" Sandbar called out with his hoof outstretched.

"What on Equis do you mean by zat?" Said the chef still with an angry look on his face.

"Rule 17 in the student handbook says all disputes can be sorted out by a duel." Sandbar stomped his hoof for emphasis. At first, the chef began to laugh in a mocking way hearing that.

"Zat, is for students only! Not for problems like zis!" Said the chef.

"But it doesn't say that, it says all disputes. Smolder wins, Headmare doesn't need to hear about this, you win, then you can punish all of us. Come on man, it wasn't even fully her fault." Said Sandbar. The Chef scoff and then looks away for a moment as he thinks. He lets out a long sigh before looking back. 

"Fine, it's za deal." Said the Chef looking back at him

"Thank you." Said Sandbar stepping down from the table.

"Thanks Sandbar." Said Smolder, looking to Sandbar, giving him a smile.

"Don't thank me yet, you gotta win." Said Sandbar. Both Smolder and the chef takes their spots and activate their duel disks.

"DUEL!"

[Smolder vs Chef]

[Smolder 4000/ Chef 4000]

"I will go first, draw." Said the chef. "First I play ze zpell Zwords of Revealing Light! Zis card prevents you from attacking moi until your 3rd standby phase after its activation. Now, I place one monster face down. Your move."

"My go, Draw!" Smolder had a serious look on her face as she drew.

"Isn't it weird that the chef has his own deck as well?" Ocellus asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It's a duel School Cell, all the staff are duelists." Sandbar said non-chalantly.

"I activate Red-Eyes Insight!" Said Smolder. "This card allows me to send one Red-Eyes monster from my claw or my deck to the grave, then I add a Red-Eyes spell or trap to my claw. I send a Red-Eyes Black Dragon from my deck to add Red-Eyes Spirit to my claw. Now I set one card and I summon Spear Dragon, {1900atk. 0def. Lv4} Since I cannot attack this turn because of your Swords. I will end right there."

"Hon-Hon-Hon! You zink placing a strong monster on the field will protect you? You played right into my trap troublemaker!" Taunted the chef "I draw, zen I flip summon mon monster, Doom Donuts! {0atk. 0def. Lv1.}"

"Is...Is that a donut?" Ocellus raises an eyebrow.

"Looks like the least yummiest donut Yona ever saw." Yona cringes.

"Zis card, when flipped summoned, destroys all monsters on ze field whose original attack or defense is 0. So you pretty much left yourzelf wide open zis turn!" Said Chef with a smirk. Smolder growled to herself as the donut started spinning and launched itself at Spear dragon. When they hit each other, it causes a huge explosion. "Hon-Hon-Hon! Now prepare yourself, I summon ze World Carrotweight Champion! {1900atk. 0def. Lv4}"

"Is this guy's deck full of nothing but food cards?" Asked Silverstream.

"Carrotweight Champion, Give zis troublemaker a licking!" Said the Chef. The Carrotweight Champion charges Smolder and is about to give her a punch.

"Not so fast! I activate my face down Red-Eyes Spirit!" Smolder held out her claw as she protested.

"Ugh, I forgot about zat card." Said the chef scowling.

"This allows me to bring back my Red-Eyes from the grave! {2400atk. 2000def. Lv7} Wanna continue your attack now?" Teased Smolder.

"Of course not, I place one card face down then I end." Said the Chef unamused.

[Chef 3 cards]

"My turn, I draw." Said Smolder, she smirks upon seeing the card she drew. "Alright, you may be protected from attacks thanks to your swords, but you are not spared from effect damage. I activate the spell Inferno Fire Blast! While I control a Red-Eyes, you lose 2400 life points!" 

"Ah! Non!" Yelled the Chef in distress as Red-Eyes opens its mouth to allow the red hot fire to be fired on the Chef, he lets out a girlish scream as he is incinerated. 

"I end by placing one more card face down, your move." Said Smolder smirking.

"Yay Smolder!" Ocellus began to cheer for her friend.

"Gah! Bête comme ses pieds! Draw!" The chef was furious. However, seeing what he just drew, causes him to chuckle. "Hehehehe.... Now, watch me. I summon Gunkan Suship Shari! {2000atk. 0def. Lv4.}" What looked to be a ship made out of rice and Nori was summoned to the field next to the chef. "I end my turn!"

"A rice boat? What kind of card is that?" Asked Sandbar.

"My turn! Draw!" Said Smolder. "I place one more card face down. I still can't get past your swords. So I will have to end right now. However, that is three turns since your Swords were activated, I get to attack you on my next turn!"

"Mon Tour! I draw!" Said the Chef. He smirks seeing the card he drew. "I now play ze field spell Gunkan Sushipyard Seaside Supper Spot!" Soon, the cafeteria soon morphs into what looks like a harbor. A quick look around shows that there are a ton of boats, made out of sushi.

"Bleh!... so much fish meat. how could anyone eat any of this?" Whined Ocellus as her face turns green.

"I must be in heaven!" Said Gallus as drool drips from his beak.

"Now watch as zis card undo's everything you have set up zis far! Since I have Suship Shari on ze field, I can special summon Gunkan Suship Ikura! {200atk. 300def. Lv4}, Now my Sushipyard spell activates, Allowing me to place one suship card from my deck to the top of my deck. I will place a second Suship Shari on the top. Now, I activate my Ikura's effect, I excavate the top 3 cards of my deck, and if I encounter a suship Shari, I'm allowed to special summon it! Hehe, which I do!"

"What a move! He forced himself to have a Shari on top just for that effect! This dude has a killer strategy!" Said Gallus in amazement.

"Now, time for my normal summon, I summon Gunkan Suship Shirauo! {200atk. 250def. Lv4}" Said the Chef. "Finally, I build ze Overlay Network! I take both my Shari's and overlay one of them with Ikura, Xzy Summoning Gunkan Suship Ikura-class Dreadnought! {2200atk. 300def. Lv4 Xyz}. And now with my Second Shari, I overlay it with Shirauo to Xyz Summon Gunkan Suship Shirauo-class Carrier! {2200atk. 2500def. Lv4 Xyz}"

Smolder looks up in awe at the two massive Gunships. They stood tall, one on each side of the Chef who was smirking.
 
"Zis will teach you, you troublemaker. I activate the effects of both of my new monsters, Since Shari was used to summon each of zem, I draw one card for each, zat's two!" The chef boasted.

"This changes nothing! I still control the strongest monster on the field!" Smolder points at the chef, as he drew his cards.

"No, you don't, Because my carrier has a second effect." The chef smirks at her. "Since I control a field Spell, Not only do my extra deck monsters cannot be destroyed by card effects, but zey also gain attack equal to zeir original defense points. So my carrier becomes 2450, and my Dreadnought becomes 2500!"

"Sweet Celestia! The effects of these cards don't end!" Complained Gallus.

"First My Carrier will be ze one to take out your Red-Eyes!" Said the chef, as the slices of Icefish are launched from the ship, and strike Red-Eyes and destroy it. "Now My Dreadnought will attack you directly!" The ship aims its giant guns at Smolder. Smolder gulps hard as she prepares for the attack. The guns fire at her and send her flying backwards, and she lands on her back. "Hon-Hon-Hon! I end my turn, good luck trying to beat me now troublemaker! Zis will teach you not to make a mess of my cafeteria!"

[Smolder 1450/ Chef 1600]

Smolder laid down on her back for a bit. Her eyes were shut tight. She could feel herself getting really, really angry. She was getting beaten by somepony who wasn't even a student. She places her claws over her eyes as her breating was getting faster and heavier. That is when she heard her friend's voices.

"Smolder! Stand up, this duel isn't over yet!" Gallus called out.

"You can still win Smolder, You gotten out of hairier situations before!" Cheered Ocellus.

"You can still win this Smolder. A duel is not over till the final card is drawn!" Said Sandbar. Smolder slowly opens her eyes and takes a deep breath. She slowly stands back up and gets her game face back on.

"Yay Smolder! You can do it!" Silverstream had her claws in the air as she cheered..

"Friend Smolder can still win this!" Yelled Yona.

"I Draw!" Said Smolder. "Alright! I activate the Spell, Return of the Dragon Lords! This spell allows me to special summon one level 7 or 8 dragon from my grave! I will bring back my Red-Eyes!" Her friends cheered as Red-eyes was resummoned to the field. "Now I activate the Spell, Foolish burial to send my second Red-eyes from my deck, to the grave. Now, with one Red-Eyes in my Graveyard, and one on my field, I activate my first Face Down, Return of the Red-eyes! I bring my second Red-eyes to the field since I already have one on my field!"

"Is zis supposed to scare me? Both of my Suships outclass your dragons thanks to my field spell." Said the Chef. 

"Not for long, I activate the Burning Land spell card! ThIs card destroys every field spell on the field, and as long as it's up, during every standby phase the corresponding player loses 500 lifepoints." Said Smolder. 

As the card is played, the area is quickly engulfed in fire. As the fire dies down, the hologram dissipates, returning them to the messy cafeteria. Both the suship cards are dropped down to 2200.

"NON! I need my field spell to win!" The chef scowls.

"I'm far from done!" Said Smolder. "It's time for me to build the Overlay Network! I overlay both of my Red-eyes to Xyz summon Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon! {2800atk. 2400def. Lv7 Xyz}"

"Holy moly.... That dude's screwed now." Gallus and the rest of the students look at Smolder's card in awe..

"Finally, I activate my last face down, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain!" Said Smolder. "I equip this to my Red-eyes Xyz monster, and he is allowed to make two attacks this turn. So I will have him attack both of your Suships!" Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon unleashes a wave of fire that catches both ships on fire. They both slowly fall apart before they both blow up.

[Smolder 1450/ Chef 400]

[Smolder 1 card/ chef 3 cards.]

"NO-HO-HO-HO! My Ships! My beautiful suships!" The chef was panicking as he quickly pranced side to side as both his ships sink.

"I now end my turn." Said Smolder with a smirk. The Chef shot a glare at her and was about to draw his card when he notices Smolder's burning land card was still up.

"Whoa whoa wait mon ami. If I draw my card, I will lose zis duel. Your card will make me lose 500 life points, b-but I only have 400." The chef analyzed

"That's the plan. You have a choice, draw your card and have yourself be burned for the rest of your life points, or surrender." Smolder crosses her arms and smirks, after having the Chef fall into her trap.

"Haha! Nice one Smolder! You backed him into a corner!" Ocellus cheered loudly.

"Why you!...Gah!" Yelled the chef. He looks at the card, and then his deck. He sighs hard and hangs his head. "Very well, I Surrender."

[Smolder vs The Chef: Winner Smolder]

The students who were present started clapping for Smolder. She smiles and turns towards her friends who were also clapping.

"Nice job Smolder!" Said Gallus as he and the others approach Smolder and giving her a high five.

"Thanks you guys, that was intense." Said Smolder.

"Yeah. Hey Smolder, sorry for what I said that started this mess." Sandbar stood in front of Smolder as he apologized.

"Don't worry about it, You stuck your neck out for me by offering to get in trouble too. I appreciate that." Smolder smiles at him.

"...out..." Said the chef with his head still hung.

"Huh? What chef pony say?" Asked Yona as they all turn his attention to him

"I SAID GET OUT! ALL OF YOU GET OUT SO I CAN CLEAN ZIS MESS!!!" Yelled the chef bringing his head back up and glaring at the group.

"Ok ok! Sheesh!" Said Gallus as the six, and the rest of the other students then quickly exited the cafeteria. Smolder steps out of the doorway and stops. She waits for everyone to leave before she peaks back in. She sees the chef hang his head again with a sigh. He takes off his hat to reveal a unicorn horn and uses magic to bring a broom to him. Smolder lets out a sigh and steps back in.

"Hey, Excuse me." Smolder said from behind.

"What do you want?" Said the chef sharply without even looking at her.

"I...I just want to say I'm sorry for starting the food fight... and. I was also wondering if you would like some help cleaning this up." Said Smolder. The chef pauses for a moment and looks back at her, it appeared all anger was now gone from his expression.

"...Yes, I would like that very much." Said the Chef. Smolder smiles before heading to the corner to grab a mop and a bucket.
