"PUSH THEM BACK!" Celestia called out, her soldiers roaring as they charged into the horde of heartless, protected by the power of the Elements and their Wielders. Luna flung her blade into the heartless, freezing most of the horde in place, making it easy to cut it down, forcing the others back even further. The sisters eyes began to glow once more, the wall behind the heartless vanishing.
"JUST A BIT MORE!" Celestia and Luna roared, combining their magic to fling the heartless into the hole, slamming the wall back into place. The Elements began to glow once more, a seal forming over the wall. The sisters blinked as a necklace appeared around both of their necks, gems embedded in them. The group stared at the wall for a long moment before weariness set in.
The Soldiers however leaped into the air, cheering and dancing about. After so many years of running and hiding and planning. It was over. It was all finally over. Dinky was the first back on her hooves, grinning and obviously holding back to urge to jump for joy.
All this time she had felt as if she wasn't worth the name 'Doctor'. But after everything had been said and done, her friends had come through for her. She grabbed hold of the sonic screwdriver in her magic, scanning the seal and smiling. It would hold until Nightmare Moon's banishment and then the original Elements resealing years later.
Ha, original Elements. Technically these are the original Elements, time-wise anyway she couldn't help but grin at that. She had always imagined going on adventures in the TARDIS. Now she finally had, she couldn't wait to talk to the real Doctor about it. Though as her mind wandered to him she remembered where he was. Her grin fading for a moment.
"Well, everything seems to be back in order, time-stream fixed, Discord defeated, heartless sealed away. And the Princess' safe. I suppose we'll be off then." Dinky said, everyone turning to her. The Doctor merely nodded.
"Yes, i'm a bit amazed the time-stream hasn't collapsed with two TARDIS piloting Doctors in the same time-stream, driving the same TARDIS no less. Is that my sonic screwdriver by any chance?" The Doctor asked.
"Actually, the TARDIS gave me this one, it had a message tied to it." Dinky said with a smile, taking a small piece of paper out of the inside brim of her hat and holding it out for him. The Doctor read the letter aloud with a smile.
Though I've only had the chance to speak to you once before Doctor, it is something I will never forget. A part of me is angry with you for simply handing me over to this unicorn, though if I didn't know any better I'd say she is you daughter. It is thanks to her tinkering around that I can make this message. Before, I was finally able to speak my mind and now I have the chance once again. Oh but I suppose I should thank you first little miss unicorn for showing the same love for me the Doctor has. the Doctor cleared his throat and chuckled a little.
"Time-machines, always emotional they are." he joked, tucking the rest of the letter away under his bow-tie.
"Do you really have to leave?" Luna asked her new friends. Dinky sighed and gave a small nod.
"We do, but don't worry. We will meet again in the future and we'll always be friends."
"Promise?" the Elder sister asked.
"Pinkie Promise" Dinky said with a grin.
"Pinkie Promise?" The two sisters asked, confused.
"You'll understand someday, for now, just know that it is a promise you can never, ever break, or you'll lose your friend forever."
"FOREVER!" a voice echoed inside the room, making them jump. No one knew where it had come from, but it sounded suspiciously like a certain pink earth pony they all knew quite well. Celestia looked at all of them.
"Thank you all so much. This would not have been possible without your efforts. But I honestly don't know what to do next." Dinky smiled.
"Just look to your dreams Princess, a guide waits for you there." Dinky said simply. Piper's ears perked up at this and he looked around, finding the cloaked figure missing from the group.
The trip back to the TARDIS was a slow one, Celestia and Luna following along to say their final goodbyes.
"It will be a long while before we meet again Princess', but know that no matter what changes, we will always be your friends and devoted subjects. Know that no matter how guilty you may feel about it, you can always count on us and any other holders of the Elements to do what must be done for your kingdom." Dinky said to them with a smile.
"We have already forced so many to do so much for us..." Celestia began, stopped as Dinky raised a hoof.
"I know Princess. But there is much more to be done. Your mother intended for you to rule over this land with your sister and that is what you must do, just as we must return to our time and stop Discord there. For us it will be a matter of minutes before we meet again, but it will be a near ten thousand years for you. Remember your dreams and do what you feel is right. We will meet again." The unicorn entered the TARDIS, Piper stopping and smiling at Celestia.
"Don't be so sad, we'll see each other again." the pegasus plucked a feather from his wing, standing up on his hind hooves and placing it in her mane.
"We're friends after all." the Alicorn smiled, hugging the pegasus. Luna bit her lip as Emerald walked by. The kirin stopped and pulled the Alicorn into a hug.
"He's right, we'll always be friends." Nova joined the hug and giggled.
"Close friends." the three pulled away from one another.
"C'mon, we've gotta git goin if'n we're gonna beat Discord twice in one day!" Sunburst said with a smile from inside the TARDIS.
"Well its not exactly the same day..." Dinky began.
"WE DON'T CARE!" They said together, laughing as the unicorn rolled her eyes. Finally they all entered the TARDIS, vanishing before the Royal sisters eyes.
"What was that back there Nyx?" Shining Armor asked of his adopted niece. Nyx sighed a little.
"Uncle...you already know." She said sadly, hanging her head.
"wait...you turned into Nightmare?" he asked, shocked that she would do such a thing.
"Not exactly, I just used a bit of something I learned from her. I can't 'turn into Nightmare'. Not since Luna took her magic back. You probably don't remember it but I used the same thing on you and your guards when I WAS Nightmare Moon.." she said, ashamed.
"You weren't yourself Nyx. But you are a grown mare and a smart one. You learned from your mistake and it saved all of our hides." Shining said, putting a comforting hoof on her shoulder. Nearby the Cutie Mark Crusaders were shaking away the stress of combining their power for so long, all the while Rarity fussed about their manes and safety. Scootaloo took shelter from the unicorn in the safety of Rainbow Dash's wing, unable to do anything to save Sweetie Belle from the rant.
"I know you've been trapped but HONESTLY, you're a grown mare now, you've got to keep up appearances Sweetie Belle."
"You're right, I AM a grown mare and I don't need you getting on me about my mane. In case you didn't notice we're in the middle of a chaos induced apocalypse and you stressing out over how I look isn't saving Spike!" the younger unicorn yelled. Rarity stood there in shock at her sisters outburst and sank to the ground, hiding her face in her hooves as she wept.
"Oh...Rarity i'm sorry." Sweetie Belle nuzzled her sister, the Elder unicorn sobbing quietly.
"No...you're right. I...I just didn't want to think of Spike...all alone and hurt..."
"He's gonna be alright Rare. Him and Aj and the rest of em. We're gonna get them outta there." Rainbow assured her friend.
"How? We don't have the Elements anymore."
"Oh I wouldn't say that." Said Dinky as she walked into the makeshift camp, followed by the Wielders of the Elements.
"Sunburst!" Rainbow tackled the pegasus, holding her close
"Piper!" Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle rushed to their son. Rarity gasped, pulling Emerald and Amethyst close to her.
"Oh my darling gems, where have you been all this time?" she asked.
"Its a long story mother..." Emerald said with a smile. Beyond them, the twins were reunited with their mother, both speaking quickly of the crazy adventure they had been on.
"Ah'm jus' happy t' see ya'll are okay." the mare said as they finished, throwing her hooves around them. Honeycrisp and Fluttershy had a much quieter reunion. The younger mare seeing her mother dressed in Zebra warrior gear, the older seeing a determined look in her daughters eyes. They sat together, saying nothing and everything in a simple glance. Dinky felt tears in her eyes as she spotted the Doctor sitting with Derpy.
"Mom! Dad!" she called out, rushing to them. The Doctor grinned, throwing his hooves around the unicorn mare.
"I take it you and your friends had a fun trip?" he asked. She nodded.
"It was quite an eventful trip. I learned a lot too." Dinky turned to her mother, the two embracing silently, nuzzling one another.
Nova was the last into the camp, spotting her sister and Riku first and rushing to them as fast as her hooves would carry her.
"Where's mom?" she asked with a smile, though the looks on their faces answered everything. Nova lowered her head and gasped, spotting Riku's hoof, then his wings.
"r...Riku...w..what happened?!" the wounded Alicorn just smiled.
"I made a choice for the ones I love Nova." He glanced over at a teary-eyed Nyx who still blamed herself for his current condition.
"And if I had the chance I wouldn't change it for the world."
"What about your wings? and your hoof?" Nova asked softly.
"I'll do without." he said simply. Nova stomped her hoof.
"No! I won't let you do that." The Alicorn looked around for a moment and smiled, spotting Emerald. She quickly rushed over to her friend. Marefriend? Drakefriend? Whatever
"Emy, I need your help" she said quickly, pulling the drake away from her mother and over to Riku.
"Can you help him?" she asked. Emerald looked at his wings and his hoof.
"Um...looks like the damage is pretty bad..." she said softly.
"Nova, Emerald, you don't have t..." Nova raised a hoof to silence him, leaving him shocked at her change in personality. The Nova he knew was soft spoken and shy. He gritted his teeth a little, annoyed that the calm happy little filly he knew was gone.
"I can fix his hoof and his wings. It'll be a little awkward though. Nova, I'm gonna need your help and..." she whispered into the Alicorn's ear. Nova nodded and smiled.
"I don't mind." Emerald nodded and turned to Riku.
"Sorry about this Prince Riku." she mumbled, grabbing hold of his hoof in her claw, placing her other claw around Nova's horn. She closed her eyes and began a slow chant, Riku's body spasming and his eyes rolling back in his head.
"RIKU!" Nyx gasped, catching him as he passed out. She trusted her sister and Emerald, but she was still worried, watching as the remains of his hoof grew out, magic passing through Emerald from Nova and pouring into Riku, his wings twitched, growing quickly, a bit of blood dripping down his back as the feathers split and grew. The wings weren't as large as they had been before, but they were wings nonetheless. Finally Emerald let go, collapsing against Nova and smiling at her work.
"Wh...how?" Nyx asked, looking at them as she held a slumbering Riku.
"He's an Alicorn. Its...hard to explain but I can...feel it. The simple flow of magic. It stopped at his hoof and his wings. I just borrowed some magic from another Alicorn and gave it to him." Emerald said with a grin.
"I...It was as simple as that..." Nyx said, feeling stupid.
"No. It needed a conduit, something to flow through evenly. Too much could harm both Alicorns, too little would be useless. My body can handle it, being the Element of Magic helps." she said, doing her best to comfort the Alicorn.
"Thank you..." Nyx said softly, holding Riku as he slept.
"Well this is all very touching, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to break it up." They spun, finding Discord hovering before them, he snapped his claws, darkness clinging to the walls and reaching for them.

Ima take a break, then go to work and do some more tomorrow, ENJOY THE EXTREMELY SHORT CHAPTERNESS! This is just a filler chapter, the next one could very well be the final chapter of new beginnings. But while we are here, lets take a look at what Vinyl and Octavia are doing.
"For the last time, a tree." the earth pony said with an exasperated sigh.
"Right! Geez Tavi, your really good at this. ok...I see something...brown."
"Tree..."
"Green."
"Tree."
"grey and white."
"A cloud?"
"Nope."
"Um..." Octavia looked around, trying to figure out what her marefriend was looking at.
"Ya give up?" Vinyl said with a sly grin. Octavia von clef never gave up, at anything, except for Vinyl's hair and bedroom. Some things were just impossible.
"Never. Its not a cloud. Maybe a rock? But those aren't white. The castle wall?"
"Nope, Nope, and Nope." Octavia rolled her eyes.
"Well what is it then!?" the mare eeped as she was tackled to the ground, pinned underneath the unicorn.
"This." she said, pressing her lips to that of her marefriend. Octavia mentally rolled her eyes, wondering how she had missed the cues. Slightly lowered sunglasses, flick of the tail and ear, and the smile. It was always that smile. Finally Vinyl pulled away.
"Still bored?" Octavia asked jokingly.
"Nah, though I still wish we were getting in on the action. I thought we were suppose t' fight off bad guys from getting in but theres nothin here! Wheres some action when ya need it?" Octavia grinned, rolling so the Unicorn was pinned under her.
"Right here."
