Diamonds of Stardust

The Blue Crystal Part 2

In the water, Trixie stared at the board in shock before her mouth turned into a grin. She had won the game! “Was there ever any doubt?” She smiled, proud of what she achieved.

Oyster snarled and flipped the board, almost hitting Tricia, “I doubt you won fairly!” She looked at Trixie’s spot, “Where’d she go!?” She snarled, “you’re my meal!”

Trixie sneaked away and grabbed the jewel and started swimming as hard and fast as she could while Ouster wasn’t looking. Trixie decided to get as far as she can before using the whistle, she dodged seaweed, rocks and anything that would slow her down. Much to her horror, Oyster was chasing her, going much faster than she expected.

“Leave Trixie alone!” Trixie squealed in fright, she was getting tired. “She needs it more!”

”Nonsense!” Oyster growled, almost succeeding in chomping down on Trixie, who swam out the way I’m time. Her heart raced as she swam as hard as she could by kicking her hind legs.

Trixie swam through holes in rocks and between coral. But Oyster simply either smashed through them or went over. She growled as she got closer and closet to Trixie. At this point, Trixie was screaming out loud. Her heart was racing, and she felt sweaty as death neared. She had even got a whiff of Oyster’s breath.

Her screaming was loud enough to make the bubble shake, soon popping it as she crashed into a rocky wall. Trixie was about to swim away but realised that she was cornered and had nowhere to go! Oyster was getting closer and closet, mouth opening. All was left was Trixie to beg to live, but that was impossible, her bubble was gone, and she couldn’t breathe underwater.

Was this it? Was this how Tricia goes down? She was running out of air anyway, she got a large gulp of water when her bubble had popped. Oyster was going to eat her, there was nothing she could do! She was far too scared to focus on her magic! Hope was lost, Tricia closed her eyes to accept fate.

Just before the jaws grabbed her, she felt something grab her just under the arms and pull her up. But the hippocampus still chased her, Trixie looked towards the figure and saw it was a white sea pony with a serious expression. They were going up, up jumping straight out of the water, the hippocampus chased them with jaws open. Soon there was a glow above Trixie as her rescuer transformed into a hippogriff.

As a hippogriff she flew straight up and out the jaws just before they closed, and the giant monster fell back into the water. Trixie hugged the blue jewel tightly as the hippogriff flew toward the shore, Trixie was a bit woozy but relived that she was saved so fast! The diamond in her hooves flashed as it spoke.

“Last diamond somewhere purple, go back to the place you first started,”

Trixie cocked her head, “Huh?”

Before she knew it she was dropped towards the water she fell on the shoreline, the hippogriff landed next to her. Trixie had a look at the hippogriff, she looked a bit different in a way. This hippogriff was as white as snow, no hint of any other colour besides her beak and claws being pink and eyes being and her eyes being as red as a rose.

“Hello, hippogriff,” Trixie said, and she got on her hooves.

Trixie shook her body and grabbed the diamond jewel in her magic. She noticed the hippogriff staring at her blankly, she shrugged it off, but it was creeping her out a bit.

”Uh...” Trixie said slightly, “Can I... help you?”

The hippogriff responded with little emotion, “What you did was reckless, diving for treasure near a hippocampus’s home, without any protection.”

Trixie rolled her eyes, “Uh, excuse me! I need this to save the world!”

”Enough of your nonsensical games, child!” The hippogriff said, showing no empathy.

“Game!?” Trixie shouted, “You call this a game!?”

Trixie pointed at the dark sky, only the horizon was uncovered, still showing the blue sky. Sunlight was still getting through, allowing the land to appear as day instead of night, Trixie looked up with worry, then realised the Main 6 were holding it back for her. In the distance was a blast of orange, white, purple, pink, blue and yellow light hitting it, the Main 6’s rainbow! When the blast hit it, the whole thing went smaller by a few inches but still would keep growing as time passed.

She smiled, she still had time, they were keeping it back, and it looked as if it would take a few days for the whole sky to be covered by it.

Soon she heard a dog barking and saw Sapphire running up to her, she looked at her in confusion as she jumped onto her and started licking her. The rest of the squad weren’t too far away, they ran over quickly.

“Trixie!” GC shouted, “Good girl, Sapphire,” She then complimented as she gave the puppy a pat and took her off Trixie.

Minty looked at her concerned, “Are you okay, Trixie?”

Sunrise gave her a big hug, Trixie smiled happily. Then she noticed that Minty had bandages on her body, and a bruised eye. “Uh... Minty... what happened to you?” Tri I’ve asked.

Minty sighed as she looked down, “I don’t want to talk about it...”

GC growled, “Some rock brains beat her up!” Anger was seen in her face, it was like she’d kill the ponies that hurt Minty. She didn’t know who they are, but she was extremely angry at them.

”Are you okay?” Sunrise asked as she saw that she looked a bit scared.

”Yeah... I’m fine... just a bit shaken...” She ensured.

Much to everyone’s dismay, Stardust shrugged, “Could be worse!”

Sunrise growled slightly, “Stop saying that!”

Stardust sighed as she looked at her. Knowing she had a point and that maybe she was a bit mean earlier, “Okay, fine, but she’s okay now!”

”So, where’s the next one?” Asked Sunrise as she got on Trixie’s back.

Loophole laughed at Trixie, “Wow! You’re sopping wet!”

“That’s rude, young lady,” Scolded Snowflake bluntly

“Ahem!” GC stated as she gestured to the hippogriff, “Who’s this?”

Trixie shrugged, “Just a hippogriff, why?”

“I beg your pardon,” The hippogriff scolded monotony, “Not just a hippogriff, I saved you back there, young lady, if it weren’t for me then where’d you be?”

Trixie sighed, “Who saved my life...”

”Better.” Stated the hippogriff, “My name’s Snowflake, who are you, and where are your parents? You all look far to your homes. Well much young to be out by yourselves, this far, do your parents know where you are?” She asked.

Trixie shrugged, “I don’t even know where my parents are, haven’t seen them for three years... oh, and I’m twenty,”

”I Seventeen and left because they were doing something... unfair,” Minty explained, “But my adopted sister, GC is with me,”

GC nodded to confirm, “I’m Twenty, yo! Turning twenty-one this year!”

”Sixteen and I left because I wanted to see the world, my parents didn’t care anyway,” Loophole added.

Tiny stepped forward, “Tiny born much small, parent yaks abandon Tiny when runt, and Tiny fourteen year,”

Stardust simply shrugged. She never met the dragons that laid her eggs. In fact, she didn’t meet any dragons till two years ago. When she was about seven years old. Now she was nine years old, and she did know one dragon, Sunrise. Oh yeah! And Spike, but she hadn’t met him or Twilight in person, or interacted yet.

Sunrise sighed and wiped her tears, “T-they I...”

Minty noticed tears run down Sunrise’s face. Sunrise was shaking as she looked at the ground. Poor thing even had some sweat drops appear as she tried to speak. No words came from her mouth as she stared at the ground.

”Sunrise, it’s okay, you don’t need to talk about it if not ready...” Minty said as she offered a hug. She wasn’t an expert on trauma, but she knew it was horrible for anyone. Her heart ached for Sunrise, she knew she didn’t know the pain she was going through, but she wanted to comfort her.

Sunrise hugged her tight, “I-I miss... I miss them!” She sobbed into Minty’s chest, soaking it.

”I know...” She sighed San she patted Sunrise on the back, a tear escaping from her own eye. Minty didn’t know the exact story on what happened to Sunrise’s parents but... It was none of her business anyway, and she didn’t expect an explanation, she just wanted to help her. “I’m sorry you have to go through this...”

Sunrise kept sobbing, pulling aggressively at Minty’s curly mane. “It’s not fair!” She screeched, “It was not fair!” She screamed as she cried violently.

Everyone looked at Sunrise with concern, even Loophole knew this wasn’t a time to make a joke. Trixie shed a tear as the noises of guns filled her mind. She stepped back, breathing heavy as a flashback started. It was horrible, the screams, blood... Trixie had to be strong, sound was blocked out as she had a flashback.

GC slightly nudged Sapphire towards Sunrise, looking sombre. Sapphire slowly went up to Sunrise and yapped softly, not understanding why everyone was sad. But she didn’t leave and sat next to Sunrise as she put a paw on her. Snowflake sighed, wondering what happened to that poor child.

“Fine, I’ll assume GC and Trixie are your guardians, but I’m staying with you to make sure I can trust you with these minors!”

GC glared at Snowflake, “Yuck. What a party pooper and a mood destroyer,” She muttered.

Snowflake glared back, not saying a word. Minty gazed at Snowflake, wondering why she wasn’t showing any sign of empathy for Sunrise. It was clear that she had brought up some serious trauma! She didn’t even say sorry, she was just so rude!

A few hours went by... Trixie looked up the in air, the blood was still huge like earlier but Twilight and friends keeping it back and the sun still reached the earth like it wasn’t even there! Trixie smiled, she looked at the group.

”So...” She smiled, “Anypon- creature up for a fun afternoon?” Asked Trixie.

Everyone watched as there was a smoky explosion of smoke in front of her as a smoke bomb was thrown, blocking everyone’s view of her. As the smoke cleared, they all saw her standing there, looking smug.

”Behold, a magic trick from...,” Trixie eagerly said as she got on her kind legs and flapped her cape epically, “The grrrreat and powerful Trixie!” She said loudly as fireworks went off behind her.

“Oh my stars!” Minty said happily.

”Cool-“ GC shrugged.

Sunrise stared adorably, “Ooooooh!”

“Heh, A magic show?” Asked Loophole like it was a joke.

Snowflake rolled her eyes, “Enough playing pretend, we have work to do...”

”Trixie is absolutely not pretending to be the greatest magician of all time!”

”Tiny yak no know magician is, tell,” Tiny questioned, “What different is magician to unicorn?”

Trixie looked at Tiny, she was a bit surprised that he didn’t understand, she rolled her eyes and called out.

”Witness amazing feats before your eyes!”

Minty, Sunrise and Loophole gave her an applause.

”Boooooring!” GC shouted, “Magic shows are only good if they have a stage!”

”GC, don’t be rude!” Minty scolded.

”I’m gonna make a song!” Sunrise said as she grabbed her ukulele.

Trixie stared at them, “Well, you’re pretty poor at being an audience,” She responded, annoyed.

“Choose something everyone will enjoy,” Snowflake replied monotony.

Trixie grumbled, “Why!?” She looked at everyone, “Fine, what’s your ideas of a fun afternoon?”

Minty and GC looked at each other, smiled and nodded before looking at Trixie with cheeky grins.

”Uh... what’s up with you two?” Trixie asked nervously.

“Victory swim!” Called GC and she picked up Trixie.

Trixie was held up above GC’s head, legs dangling in the air, she looked around in confusion and worry. A few others had seemed to have agreed with her.

”Victory swim!” Shouted Minty.

”Victory swim!” Agreed Sunrise.

”Vix tar wee swim?” Asked Tiny.

”Victory swim!” Loophole chuckled.

”Victory swim!?” Shouted, Trixie and GC started to run to a small cliff just above the water.

”Grow up,” Bluntly responded Snowflake.

”Throw her in!” Cheered Stardust.

”With pleasure,” GC smirked as Trixie kicked her hooves and struggled to get out her grip.

Trixie screamed as Gamecube threw her into the water, making a big splash, and jumped in after her, Minty and Sunrise jumped in soon after. Tiny walked in safely and waded in the shallows, as he didn’t know how to swim. Loophole watched from the edge, not wanting to get wet.

”I’m setting this one out, getting wet is just not fun at all,” Loophole said with a smile.

Trixie went underwater a bit before surfacing. Once her head was above water, she spat some water out as she kicked her legs to stay afloat,. Also, the others were playfully splashing each other, and her aswel. Everyone in the water and Loophole was laughing at her pouting and annoyed expression.

After making some angrily noises, she stared at them, how dare they mess with her. As she glared daggers, she purposely sunk down until her nostrils were only just above the surface, being tickled. She felt heavier due to the addition of her cape, the material soaked up a lot of water, weighing her down. Once she finally made it to shore she grumbled as she felt the wet material of her cloak press, and rub against her wet fur, it felt cold, wet and heavy, but she was getting used to it. It wasn’t the first time she wore her cape, all soggy. Maybe the 8th or 9th time?

As she exited the water she gave her hooves a shake, she found her outfit uncomfortable and unpleasant to wear when it was soaked, but she was kinda getting used to it at this point. The grass wasn’t that far away, so she went towards her wagon, slowly. The sun was shining, giving her some warmth on her fur.

She grumbled as she shook her wet hooves again, but soon smiled, secretly, deep inside she did find a bit of humour in that, she could see her laughing about somepony else being thrown in unexpectedly. Trixie then grumbled as she took off her hat and sat in the sun and wrung it before laying it in the sun to dry, she soon did the same with her cape. After removing her clothing, Trixie shook the water from her fur and watched the others

Soon enough they came out too.

“Anyone wants to play volley ball!?” Loophole invited.

In response, practically everyone said, “Yes!” Except for Snowflake who rolled her eyes.

They all laughed and played games before the sun went down, and it was time for dinner.
